Guest Reviews
- Hugo (7/5): Good value for the price - If you’re looking for a really cheap small hotel in a great location right in the center of Ubud, this is a good option, but don’t expect luxury (which honestly isn’t what you come here for anyway). On the positive side, the staff is super friendly, and the little terrace in front of the room is really pleasant with all the vegetation around and the sound of the small river flowing right next to it. The slightly annoying parts: the room was fairly clean overall, but the bathroom cleaning could definitely be improved, the mattress was very thin and I could feel the wooden board underneath (I weigh 75kg), and be aware that the rooms don’t have air conditioning, only a ceiling fan, so it can get very hot and humid inside, even at night. As for the pool, it’s more like a tiled bathroom hole filled with water than a real swimming pool, with crumbling concrete sunbeds next to it that don’t really make you want to stay there but again, for the price, it’s acceptable.
- Chloe (7/5): - Amazing spot surrounded by jungle, views from rooms were fab, waterfall and river run next to hotel. Felt like a proper little respite getting back here away from crazy Ubud centre, despite being only a few minutes walk away from the main streets. Rooms big and comfortable, little bit run down in places but for the price it was very good, we chose non aircon room and wasn't too hot. Bathrooms could do with a refresh but consistent hot water, small ants in room so be careful with food. Pool a blessing. Staff take care of the place as we often saw them gardening and painting etc. Would stay again. Ants in room, can't be helped and not a big deal really. Mosquito net around bed would've been great, especially as lots of water around so there's no getting away from them. Could do with nicer loungers around the pool as they're stone.
- Luke (9/5): - Good location, stunning gardens & great vibe.
- Lorenzo (10/5): -
- Gaston (8/5): -
- Daisy (5/5): - good location, cheap ants everywhere, room was infested and there must have been at least 300 ants in the bathroom. had to leave early, however owner did refund us for unused nights

- Jason (2/5): Not at all same as described into photo Very unsafe for solo traveler , I left propertyday. - Property was traditional Balinese style banglow , near to nature but as a solo traveler I didn’t not felt safe. As there wasn’t anybody to assist you. Lady was busy at front saling her stuff, no staff to look after at night. Went to look for lady around 8 pm and dog was barking and her drunken husband came out to explain me that she is not here.

- Dr. Jan Eduard Augener (10/5): - Traumhaft schöner Garten und Pool
- Christy (8/5): Quiet location with good staff and beautiful surrounds - Quiet sanctuary 5 mins out of busy Ubud but CSNT hear anything, not even scooters! In the other direction are beautiful walks through rice fields...
- Nancy (9/5): Superb -
- Charmagne (6/5): It was ok for the money - Large pool, close to rice field walk, fan in room Lot of steps, no breakfast, didn’t clean room daily
- Siri (4/5): Beautiful location but out dated. - The location is beautiful next to a waterfall. However this place needs a lot of love. It hasn’t been updated for a very very long time. There were cockroaches in the bathroom and the pool is full of bugs and appears not to have a cleaning filter. Too bad as this place would be amazing with som TLC. No breakfast is offered. Not clean, very old.
- Christopher (9/5): Great location, lush tropical outlook, quiet and peaceful but close to restaurants and massage - Clean pool, great location for a run through the Kajeng rice fields, beautiful lush outlook Nothing
- Stuart (8/5): Very good -
- Nancy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nancy (9/5): Superb - The jungle setting was extraordinary
- Cassie (8/5): Cheap spot in Ubud with a good location. - The location, there was a pool area and we liked the decor on our doors and our balcony. The AC worked and the value for money was good. The bathroom could do with a sprucing up and the pool area could have a bit more love.
- Paz (9/5): Superb - Amazing garden and pool, just perfect to chill from the busy Ubud
- Folake (5/5): The above not withstanding, it was a pleasant stay - I like the bungalow i had and the view it provided The dank smell in the bathroom and the stench of the towels
- Mark (4/5): A room woth toxic smells - The hotel is located in a nice location. We spend 3 nights in this hotel. The first night we had a room that smelled so bad like paint that the next morning we woke up with a headache. It was truly awful. If you do diced to stay here, check if you get this room. The other rooms are ok. Because of this first night the score is bad.
- Patricia (7/5): Location and pool are excellent, but may be in need of a makeover.. - Very good location if you want to be in the center of Ubud. Lovely back yard with large swimming pool. No breakfast, water bottles or tea, I really missed that. Bathroom needs a make-over, water from sink was pouring on the floor... Steep mossy steps to my room, no railing to hold on to, bit dangerous... Beds by the pool are really very old (stone) and ugly :-(.
- Warring (8/5): Very good -
- Maddie (5/5): Passable -
- Selena (8/5): Very good -
- Ce (6/5): Great location, peaceful, convenient, a bit dirty. - Really peaceful, central location but surrounded with trees and a cascade. The swimming pool was clean and overall the stay was really peaceful a d quiet Pretty dirty. Bathroom and sheets didn’t smell the best.
- Susan (7/5): Great location, beautiful property, friendly staff. Will definitely go again. - Beautiful view and property. Lovely pool. Water pressure in shower and basin very low.
- Raiana (9/5): Good location in the city but hard to access - Good location in the city but hard to access due to the shops in front Staff don’t communicate well
- Alexane (4/5): Disappointing - I'd like to share my recent experience during my stay at this hotel, highlighting both positive and negative aspects. First and foremost, I'd like to mention that the room was perfectly adequate and met my expectations. However, I encountered a few setbacks that I believe are important to address. One of the main reasons I opted for this hotel was the advertised pool; unfortunately, it turned out to be quite disappointing. Upon arrival, I was informed that the pool was out of service. This news was disheartening, especially considering that I specifically chose this establishment for the pool experience. What was even more disheartening was the lack of compensation or price adjustment for this inconvenience. I chose to overlook this setback and continue with my stay.
However, my disappointment persisted when I handed over my laundry for cleaning. The laundered items did not meet the expected standards. Some of the clothes were still slightly damp, and the overall cleanliness was subpar. To my great surprise, I noticed an iron mark on one of my nylon towels. So this oversight was particularly unexpected. To make matters worse, some of my clothes returned in a less satisfactory condition than before. This was a first for me, as I've had laundry done in Bali multiple times before and have always been satisfied with the results.
In summary, while the room lived up to expectations, the disappointment I felt regarding the pool situation and the laundry service cast a shadow over my stay at this hotel. I hope my feedback can contribute to improvements in these areas and enhance the experience for future guests.
- Philippe (8/5): Being in a basic place of ancient glory is vastly compensated by the peaceful and practical location - The wonderful location close to nature, its quietness. Close to the market and close to the rice fields. There was everything basic one would need. The many staircases. However this is inevitable in this quiet valley location.
- Matt (8/5): relaxed enjoyable stay - location
- Dimitri (8/5): Very good -
- Bharat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Estelle (5/5): For me Ubud was a nightmare. People calling you every steps to sell you stuff. Tourists everywhere. - The garden ans settings of rooms were nice. It was central . The large pool looked nice, even though I dont swim in pools. The mattresses, pillows and towels were smelling bad .
My fault that I didn't realized this place was in the middle of too commercial streets. I remembered Ubud being a peaceful place. Well, it isn't anymore.
- Nazarova (8/5): Very good - my room was on the 2 floor view was just amazing, as well very quiet during the night staff were very friendly and helpful room lights was too dark
- Guus (10/5): Exceptional - The local people Nothing
- Lora (7/5): Good -
- Rishona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tünde (2/5): not the most higienic place of them all. But perfect location. there are many other rooms in that street that are cleane - perfect location but check your room before paying! It looks far remote from what’s on their photos. Check your mattress under the sheets too if they’re full of mold bathroom has a hole literally leading into the sewer but luckily nothing has come up through it - as far as I saw. Staff is nice, although Missus is ice, but mister and kids are cool and granny is a star. You need to check the room before paying and check the mattress under the sheets so it’s not moldy. if they turn off the hot water after you book the room just message them and they turn it back on, taking back from the smiles from than on.
- Tom (4/5): Great location and surrounds, but an unclean and uncomfortable stay - Location was great, and the view outside of the room was amazing The inside was dirty, the bathroom was very dirty and the sinks fossit was broken so we had to use the shower to wash our hands. The fans speed was permanently on low and there was no shampoo or soap or complimentary brushes ect.
- Christine (3/5): Next time I would only book 1 night so I could move elsewhere. - The location was close to central The room was down lots of stairs, some uneven; it was the farthest room at the bottom and around the back; towel was stained; I wanted to go elsewhere but couldn’t get a refund; wouldn’t eat there; and no light near my room.
- Ben (8/5): a pleasure , with a loving friendly kajeng family , the surroundings were tranquil & quiet - surrounding , staff & pool steep steps , bathroom & no Parking
- Neringa (7/5): very simple place, but with nice view - Lovely view, relatively quiet and convenient location. It also felt generally safe. A quite economical option. It’s a bit dated and could use renovation. Also, scooter parking has been a challenge sometimes.
- Nasmi (6/5): Pleasant - The place is very quiet but the cleanliness of the accommodation is dirty, the staff is nice, the breakfast is not clean there are ants in the meal.
- Muhammed (4/5): Regret - The breakfast is delicious, the staff is trying to help. The location is very nice. The facility is too old. Since the facility is too old, it needs urgent care. Room, bathroom, bed are too old, think well before staying.
Since the facility is close to the forest, there are too many insects around. Since the facility is old, windows and doors always stay apart and insects enter the room. It didn't work even though we used insecticide.
The hotel's dog is a complete maniac.
In the last 2 days there was no internet, there was no hot water, the pool is only cleaned in the morning. Pool recirculation engines do not work. It is cleaned in the morning and after a short time the water gets dirty and blurred.
Our experience was very bad I do not recommend.
