- 858traced (2/5): Frozen Tundra - First let me say that I really did try to politely and constructively give feedback to someone on the phone that said they were a manager and they didn't even apologize for our experience they said "ok thanks". I generally don't leave a bad review and try to provide feedback directly, but I will surely say that this experience and the lack of concern when I tried to talk to the manager has prompted me to do so. I spent the night in a freezing cold room. I called the front desk and asked for blankets because it was so cold and the heat was not doing anything at all. I was provided with two blankets and a space heater, which was tiny (like the kind you put under your desk for your feet). The little heater had no impact on me seeing my actual breath in the air. The bathroom was in bad shape, with the fixtures in the shower all askew and the caulk was pink in spots with mildew. The hot water only produced lukewarm water, which didn't do anything to help with the frozen tundra atmosphere. I get that things happen to systems and such, but paying to stay in an icebox, with no explanation or even a "I'm sorry about this" is just not ok. Normally Residence Inns are decent, but this was a really bad experience and disappointing.

- Riann (6/5): - I booked this hotel through Expedia. From the outside, the property looked brand new—clean, shiny, and very inviting. I’d give the exterior an A+. The lobby and entrance were also really nice, definitely another A+. However, once we got to the room, things started to feel different. You could tell there had been some remodeling, but it seemed more like a “cover-up” than a true renovation. Customer service at check-in was polite and helpful, but there was an issue with the booking. Expedia had our room listed as having a balcony, but when we checked in, the staff said they don’t even have balcony rooms. That was disappointing and a frustrating way to start. Later that night, when we returned to the room, we realized the air conditioning wasn’t cooling properly. The front of the suite had a little cooling, but the bedroom was very uncomfortable. We actually ended up going to the front desk to get a fan. Overall, while the outside and lobby gave a great first impression, the room quality and AC issues left us unsatisfied. Because of these problems, I probably wouldn’t stay at this location again.

- susanbZ18WD (10/5): Jessica and Solomon - best in class service! - I spent 11 nights at this hotel while my husband was in the ICU at a nearby hospital. Jessica and Solomon were kind, courteous and took care of anything I needed to make my stay perfect. They delivered Ritz Carlton service at a Residence Inn location. The hotel itself is very nice - rooms are clean and could use a refresh. Breakfast is the usual. But the service these two delivered made it all worthwhile. They are truly gems in the hospitality industry and I hope the company that owns this hotel recognizes this.

Recently, when a new business engagement brought me back to Jackson, there was no question about where I would stay. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Jessica B always looks out for me to select the location of the rooms that I like. The property is always clean, the beds are comfortable, and it’s located in a very nice part of town that is not far from shopping and restaurants. It is very nice after a hard day’s work to return to the Residence Inn. I truly feel like I am coming home.

Jessica B. allowed me to stay an extra hour as my wife was finishing up at an Art Show. The Breakfast was your average hotel breakfast but good coffee. If you want a muffin, get there early :). Excellent shower and the AC was very efficient even on a 100' day. They were cleaning up the pool so we were not able to use it but was good size. They advertise a putting green but the picture on the website and the actual putting green were nothing alike but it is there. The hotel is near a shopping center that is walking distance with a drug store, restaurant and shops. It is only 8 minutes from Fondrum where some excellent restaurants are located. Worth the stay.

For the one night .. don’t know if or when I’ll be back due to what happen - Property was very nice Didn’t like the fact was given a room , check was great .. went upstairs to sit down for a few min.. left to get something to eat wasn’t gone an hour came back my key wasn’t working so I thought it was a problem with the key so I was like let me go back down down then I heard a child in my room saying mama someone is trying to get in.. so in other words my room was given to someone else within an hour of me checking in I don’t know how that could have happen .. I wasn’t given an upgrade or anything Solomon did say sorry bout that but that fact it happen . Things like that don’t just happen .. was given another room but wasn’t please on fact we weren’t offered a discount or anything that was wrong in so many ways .. but way given another room just wasn’t happy after that

I can honestly say that Residence Inn District at Eastover is one of the best Marriotts I have stayed in. Rooms are great, lobby is clean, and the breakfast is consistently delicious(I usually don’t care too much for the included breakfasts). Jackie has the buffet area spotless and is always working to better the guest experience.

The staff was welcoming, the breakfast was served hot and fresh, and the rooms were impeccably clean. Keep in mind, this is Jackson—if you’re new to the area, it might take a little getting used to. The location is great; it’s peaceful, safe, and secure. I stayed 3 weeks at another hotel that won’t be named (it rhymes with Milton) and everyday was a nightmare. The managerial staff here cares and goes out of their way to fix any issues.

- susanrL4046GG (10/5): Deck the District - We attended the Deck the District and I wanted to stay at the venue. We walked everywhere and enjoyed lunch and then shopping and the other activities. The hotel was so convenient and the staff was very attentive. The breakfast was good and all areas were clean. We will come back, perhaps to do spring shopping. It was very quiet, by the way and safe.
- Ericka (6/5): - Overall I’d stay here again. We stayed on our way out of town and then coming back through a week later. The first stay was good, nice clean room, nice staff, clean. The second stay on our way back, the person at the desk wasn’t very welcoming. It seemed as if I were a burden when I checked in. Our room was kind of clean, you could tell it hadn’t been mopped because there were sticky foot prints all over the floor. The water faucets were backwards and different in each bathroom. One for the bathroom doors was really hard to open because it would drag the floor. Our dishes in the cabinets were dirty and required us to handwash them before we used them. With all that said, the breakfast both mornings were delicious, and good variety of choices. The morning staff was super nice both days.

Broken tiles broken floor broken sink and VERY broken front door to the room. The lock was bent, barely could shut, looked as though it had been broken into at some point.

- redhead101863 (10/5): Great registration help!!! Deon was the best!!! - Deon was so very helpful during our registration and check in. We needed a handicap room. He went out of his way to help us. We always stay here, but wanted others to know how great it is. The hotel is very clean and quiet. It is very near great restaurants and attractions. Highly recommend this hotel!!!
- Julie (9/5): A comfortable stay - The hotel is centrally located to where I wanted to be, and it is about 20 minutes away from the airport. There are good restaurants within walking distance. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. I was able to attend an online meeting from the room without any problems.

However, Deun and Heather have made our stay feel as close to home as possible. Heather’s care and attention to detail, and Deun’s humor and personality make us feel cared for like we’re with family. The only thing better than a fresh seafood boil to make your stay in Mississippi as amazing as possible is the opportunity to stay at this Residence Inn and meeting Heather and Deun.

- Dana (8/5): - I have stayed here before because of the location and 2 bedroom suites available. Our room could use additional cleaning as the bathroom shelves were dusty and the backsplashes had spots on them. We specifically requested our room cleaned daily ahead of time online and with the cleaning staff on our floor one day while leaving out only to return to a dirty room. We were then told at the front desk that they only clean every 3 days of your stay-unacceptable. Breakfast is good and exercise room should have water available.

- I8068AOjasonj (2/5): I did dirtiest and most unsafe Marriott chain hotel I’ve ever stayed in - Let me start off by saying the front desk must be the rudest people I’ve ever met. Secondly, I was charged an additional hold on my credit card besides the $20 day incidental that Marriott charges. Still no explanation for what that hold was for. With the apartment complex next-door people came in and out of the hotel parking lot and the building all throughout the day. None of the side doors Were ever locked so anyone had access. Every hallways smelt like weed. I’m not a pretentious person, but I’ve been an ambassador elite member for over a year and a half now and my welcome gift was a bottle of water. Never again will I stay at this residence inn . This is the first Marriott hotel that I’ve been to in the seven years that I’ve started traveling for business where I was completely disgusted. Do not recommend at all. Also stay at your own risk.
