Guest Reviews
- Matthew (2/5): - Three days before my trip, I requested a late check in at my Guest Portal check in. It was approved "Thank you for using our Self-service Guest Portal. Your request to 'Update Guest Details' has been approved." However, when I called they said the office would be closed when I arrived, I would NOT get my room, and they would be charging my credit card anyway. I had to drive 6 hours until 4AM to get home.
- Samrat (6/5): - Mattress and blanket are not comfortable
Variety of breakfast options (Need to check expiry date for bread/croissants etc. packets)
Less adjacent Parking space
- Steven (4/5): - Parking was fine. WHAT BREAKFAST?
- Maheshkumar Tanajirao (8/5): - Parking is very tight. Rest all good. Value for money.
- SANDRA (8/5): - Surprisingly pleasant stay. The facility is a bit dated but totally workable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good value and easy to get to the grocery store.
- David (2/5): - A dinghy area. Bed bugs. Poor furnishings.
- Joseph (10/5): - Didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. Parking lot was unremarkable
- ana (10/5): - Nice clean
- Jahidul (10/5): - Staff were nice. Room was perfect
- Sandrea (6/5): Outdated Motel - Very outdated. The beds were so hard that I didn't sleep very well. They used bunkie board bed frames instead of the normal bedframes. Will definitely NOT stay there again up in that neck of the woods. Will spend a little more & go with the chain Hotels.
- Danielle (2/5): I would not stay here again. - I thought I was going to stay at a hotel. I arrived and was very confused. People lived at this place. People had bikes, grills, and it was not a hotel. I became nervous seeing a man digging through the dumpster. This is on a busy street next to strip malls, auto parts stores, etc.
The people who checked me in were nice, but I did not feel safe or comfortable staying at this place all by myself.
I ended up not staying there at all and crashed on a friend's couch about 20 minutes away.
I would not recommend a solo woman staying here.
- Bogdan (10/5): - Thank you.
- Myrene (10/5): - It's a bit out dated but what do you expect for a 2 star hotel right but what's important is the good service and cleanliness. The manager was very welcoming and friendly. The complimentary breakfast that was included was +++. Definitely recommend it.
- Robert (10/5): gem in the rough - rooms were clean and tidy.service was excellent all issues if any were addressed expediently.was a good value in these capitalist times.
- Michael (10/5): - Very basic clean bed and heat or ac and the free breakfast was better than expected fresh fruit was a big plus no pancakes or waffles eggs bacon didn't expect it but toast muffins small pastry cold cereal and milk juice OJ and apple lot of different youguart all brand name fresh coffee whenever they needed more definitely a good way to start the day in a basic hotel call first if you have kids and want to use pool I came for the track about 25 min away maybe 20 with no traffic I went on biggest race day of the year
- Amber (4/5): - This place is gross, smells like cigarettes, pool was condemned upon stay. Rooms are sticky, sheets stained, and windows were covered in cigarette residue.
- Jeremiah (6/5): Nice continental breakfast will keep you full - Overall okay Hotel
- Rizwan (10/5): Great place for the price - We found the place very clean and great value for money. 25 minutes from Lake George but very affordable prices. The place exceeded our expectations in terms of cleanliness. The bathroom, beds and service. Staff were very friendly. During checkout we were late for breakfast by a good 30 minutes but they still let us have breakfast and served hot coffee and tea. We would definitely come back.
- David (8/5): - Could hear people walking late at night in the room above.
- Jean (4/5): - I did not end up staying here. My room was inside an unlocked unlit hallway and was not cleaned from the prior occupants when I arrived. This property seems to be a long term rental property and did not seem safe for a single woman. I will say the owner was gracious and allowed me to cancel my reservation with a refund after her staff kept trying to find a different room for me.
- Kristy (8/5): - We weren’t expecting much from a motel, however, the staff were super nice and the room was spacious and clean.
- Tom (10/5): - The stay was good. Its a nice little motor lodge, ple ty of food and even a frocery store in the same parking lot
- ana (10/5): - Very clean and peaceful will stay there again
- Michael (10/5): - Excellent Customer Service. Very quiet and really diverse choices for Continental Breakfast. A winner while you are in the Adirondack region!
- Angel (10/5): Nice place - The place was well kept. We felt safe and there are plenty of places to eat close by. The pool looked clean and inviting. The front desk were polite and friendly, we would definitely stay here again.
- Donna (10/5): - Overall a very pleasant experience. Breakfast in the morning was great.
- Douglas (10/5): - Bathroom clean decent breakfast great staff
- Marissa (8/5): - I would definitely stay there again. There is a lot to do in the area. Staff was attentive, pool was clean, rooms were clean, I enjoy my stay!
- Douglas (10/5): - Good place great price
- jamie (10/5): - Nothing I didn't like
- Francis (10/5): - Even our Rocky enjoyed it!!!!!
- Kenneth (2/5): - I stood in the lobby waiting for someone to check i n for at least 20 minutes. I rang the bell multiple times with no answer, as well as calling the property 3 times and letting the phone ring before anyone came to answer it. Property under construction made getting to the room very inconvenient. The stair case that was damaged and under repairs was blocked off on the outside but no sign of any kind on the inside of the door. Overall it just wasn't a good experience for the very short stay I had here.
- Bogdan (10/5): - Thank you for everything. Good place , good people. Me and wife we happy. Good luck in your business.
- Steffan (10/5): - Staff was welcoming and easy to work with, room was well kept and very clean. Location is nice being a short drive to both Saratoga and Lake George - really enjoyed my stay here.
- Mary (2/5): - I stayed long enough to shower. I didn’t sleep there. Bed was horrible. This motel has long term residents and I didn’t feel safe. It was extremely outdated, the toilet ran constantly, and the bed had a broken leg. Horrible and would like a refund.
- SHAHEEM (2/5): - Nothing
- Bogdan (10/5): - Me and wife we happy about this. 10 stars
- ARLENE (10/5): - I travelled for a seminar weekend and was a single occupant. I was at the front of the building and there was traffic noise but it stopped at about 830/9pm and was quiet after that. There wasn't any noise from other occupants. The bed was very comfortable, the towels were fluffy, hot water abundant. While this is rated as a 2 star I feel it could be upgraded. I have stayed in far worse 4 star places.
- Clayton (10/5): - The husband and wife team were the best. Very nice folks and the rooms were clean and simple. Everything you need.
- John (10/5): Vintage Clean Comfortable - Perhaps vintage on the outside, but remodeled, clean, convenient and budget friendly. Just a one night stay, but everything worked. Hot showers, comfortable mattress and pillows. Still uses old fashioned keys, but lots of security cameras.
- barry (2/5): - I made my reservation, went to the hotel late at night and there was no one at the front desk to check me. I had to book another hotel. This is completely unacceptable. I had worked for over 12 hours and was exhausted pounding on the door to get someone’s attention. I believe I should be compensated
- Steve (10/5): - Owners were polite and helpful. room was clean, quiet, great bed, good AC, lots of hot water
- Rachael (10/5): - Great place to stay well priced and convenient, clean and very nice people.
- Gerry (4/5): - It’s a place good enough to sleep for a night. Very old and outdated
- LINDA (8/5): - pas de cafetière, pas de réveil matin
- Rob (10/5): - Hotel stuff where friendly room was clean and nice
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was clean. Friendly service . Some users of the motel were a little strange but overall quiet.
- Susan (4/5): - We booked this property for the location of Lake George , no lake view like on one review. VERY outdated motel, poor working shower , no in room hairdryer, no ice machines, green pool, sketchy characters all around property. No free breakfast as advertised. The red velvet curtains add a nice pornstar look to the room & no screens on the windows , making for an unsafe atmosphere. The TV only one channel. All the local people we spoke to that we were staying there told us it’s not a safe motel. We will definitely not be recommending or staying here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Never Again - Clean but dated. No comfortable seating. Bed was comfortable. No hot water; Luke warm after running 10 minutes. Never again!
- William (8/5): - It was clean and nice
- Sarah (6/5): - I clean Air B n B's and peoples personal homes for a living so I hold high standards when it comes to cleanliness! The room was not up to standard as far as im concerned. The shower and shower curtain were nasty, bugs up in the corner by the sliding glass door and cobwebs under the end table. The towels are barely towels small and thin and the blue toilet and shower just need to go! That being said the bed and sheets were clean and comfortable.
- George (4/5): First and Last Stay - My stay was ok. The room was clean. The main things that bothered me was no shampoo, no tissues, very few outlets for charging devices, no phone, no table lamps near bed and no coffee maker in room. When we woke up and getting ready to leave, I located a Restuarant to go to for breakfast. Before leaving, I returned the room key and to check out. It was after we checked-out I was asked if I wanted coffee.
- Maggie (10/5): NKOTB MAGIC SUMMER 2024 - The room was very nice. Room was comfortable and very clean.
- Dale (2/5): Very disappointed stay - Unfortunately it was a disaster we got there the next day we went to take a shower and the shower broke we had to wait a day to for it to be fixed … they came to change our towels but they never change our sheets in our bed, not once. They never cleaned our room, our room floors were filthy dirty. We will never return to this motel for sure the next visit to Lake George.
- Timothy (6/5): - Very bare. No working internet. The place was tidy.
- Warren (10/5): All *very* good (except for the AC filter) - Almost all was excellent: clean room and the fridge, microwave, shower, toilet, etc. all were good.
Front desk people were friendly, efficient, etc.
The location was great for me, but I just slept there, didn't hang out. (It's inside a fork between Rte. 9 and Rte. 32.)
But it's only 25 mins from Lake George, where cheap motels are double or triple the price. And I took a pleasant back road to Lake George, *not* Rte 9: Bay St. off route 9, becomes Bay Road, straight to Lake George in the same time.
The *only* problem in the motel was the AC. It worked fine, but I always check the filter first thing. It was not only totally clogged with dust, but was uncleanable. The plastic filter fell apart when touched, totally deteriorated, so it's not only shooting out dust, but nanoplastics as well.
(They said they'd replace it but couldn't find a replacement while I was there...)
- Candace (8/5): - Very nice and friendly staff. Also, the breakfast was more than adequate.
- Robert (2/5): - Did not stay hotel was unsafe, no locks on outside doors, strong cigarette smell in room and hallways, web site said pet friendly, when checking in told no pets,
- Keith (6/5): - The property is not in the best condition.
- Paul (6/5): - It’s old and needs improvements and updates.
- George (10/5): - Basic and clean. No problems
- Cemile (6/5): - Good for a quick nights stay. Had a fridge and microwave, no coffee maker. Surrounding area is mostly commercial and not pleasant to look at, but that is as expected. Room was clean, there were new carpets, bedding and wall paint. Bathroom was also clean but somewhat outdated. AC and fridge were a bit noisy if you are bothered by that sort of thing. Receptionists were nice and they had cameras all over the place that increased sense of security. Overall it was good value for money.
- Megan (4/5): - Very out dated. No elevator.
- Michael (8/5): Lake George stay. - Very pleasantly surprised! Reasonably priced and very comfortable. We were there for business, not vacation but did see several people enjoying the pool. Was a little mislead by the name of Residence Inn.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean room, quiet area, friendly staff. Convenient walking distance to supermarket, Chinese food takeout. Close to Lake George (15 min drive)…good location for Americade events. Great value overall.
- Joshua (6/5): - Decent for the price. Old school motel vibe if youre looking for that.
- Donald (8/5): - Good Parking, room is good, TV remote control not working.
- Donna (2/5): NOT SAFE - I will NEVER stay here again! This trip was a quick stop over on my way to the Adirondack Park. The room was definitely dated, looking like it was from the 1980's but clean, and beds were comfortable enough. At 11:30pm I woke up to a bang and a drunk person hanging halfway through my window! He apologized and left (trying to play a prank on friends), but I had a hard time securing the window. Although it was "locked" it popped open easily with very little effort. When I brought this to management's attention the next day they apologized, and said they would "look" at it, and said she was sorry that my stay was ruined because of that man. I do not need expensive fancy accomodations to stay, but I do expect clean and safe. When the windows are that easy to break through, that is not safe. As a single person, I will never stay here again. I was issued a full refund but only when asked. I suggest they replace their windows.
- Edgar (8/5): - It was good for me
- Joao (4/5): Never Again. - The entire facility is very, very old. All furniture and everything in the room are outdated for at least 40+ years (except the TV). The air conditioning was too loud. I spent one night only. Room was clean though.
- Richard (10/5): - Our room 188 was a great room. They are in the process of remodeling and its looking nice. Fred, the owner is a great guy, very helpful. Its a great location, pretty much anything u need there are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby or within walking distance.
Definitely would stay again.
Rick & Karen
- Joanne (10/5): - The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.
- Carol (8/5): Very Clean! - The property is being upgraded. Our room looked like a room that I have stayed in at big hotel chains. Plenty of places to put your belongings. The hot water didn't take long to come thru. At 10 am, housekeeping was at my door to see if we needed anything. There was a slight smell in the hallway. I think it was the old carpet. We were on the Rt 9 side. It was quiet. We are the last house out of our town before the farm lands. We have much louder vehicles. The only thing they need to change is the orange curtains. I had to put a very large beach towel over them. The room had a orange glow that hurt my eyes. I would stay there again. I didn't feel unsafe.
- Robert (10/5): - The property is dated but improving, as it is under new ownership. The room was very, very clean!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Horrible value for the price.
- Rebecca (6/5): - Firstly, we where staying in town to be close to Lake George. Also, it was affordable. The office was super hard to find on the premises. The rooms appear clean but smelled of smoke. The shower does not work, so I could only take a sponge bath. There where no little extras like coffee in the room. It was for only one night but I would not recommend this property to anyone.
- Anne (2/5): - The place looked like a half way house or a place where they place homeless people. Nothing against these people, but I deal with this issue at work and I was hoping not to have to deal with this on vacation
- John (4/5): - I am not a complainer. I understand things can go wrong at any given time. I often need a place to stay on the road and am always hesitant about giving bad reviews. This place was the absolute worst. Run down in and out, Unsavory characters on site, room smelled of cigarette smoke, shower was little more than a trickle of water that was either to hot or to cold, and LOUD music late night from parked cars. And I mean LOUD! No privacy locks. I actually propped a chair against the door. The slider doors were locked shut(fire hazard?) I felt completely unsafe but it was late and I was tired and not many other choices nearby. I believe this place is mostly inhabited by permanent or weekly residents probably government assistance. Definitely would not stay again nor would I suggest that anyone bring their family.
- juan (2/5): - Dirty rooms a lot of bed bugs
- Darren (8/5): - Nothing fancy. Basic. Clean. Affordable. Seems like they're starting to make the improvements necessary. Will revisit when I need to be back in the area next year.
- Mike (6/5): - The bed was uncomfortable. No vending or ice machines. Carpeting looked new. The complex is under new ownership. So, i guess, they are trying to turn the place around. I would probably not go.back there again
- Raul (8/5): - Our room was clean. It’s a basic residence type room. We only stayed overnight but it was comfortable.
- Joseph (4/5): - Nothing Unique About it Run Down. Summer Time Pool Was Not Open
- Irvin (10/5): - Clean towels every day
Excellent service
No complaints.
- Carl (10/5): - We stayed 2 nights for Americade Bike Rally!
Rooms were clean and comfortable!
Staff was excellent!
- Mike (8/5): - Nothing fancy in this older motel. However, friendly staff and clean made for a good stay for the price.
- Barbara (8/5): Good value - Basic older motel, but clean, comfortable and cheap!
- Michael (8/5): - Staff was friendly and communicative.
- Matthew (8/5): - Staff was nice, hotel was clean, price was right
- Mary (10/5): - The owner who checked us in was very friendly. The rate was fair, only sorry there was no coffee in the room
- Scott (10/5): - The area was a little sketchy. However it was quiet.
- Heather (6/5): Get What You Pay For - We came out for the weekend, my three brothers and my dad. The rates were fair. The rooms were ample sized. Our issue was the smell in each room. A dank, basement type odor. When you left the room shut all day it was overpowering when we returned. A few of the bedspreads had stains on their inside as well. Beds were adequate and bathrooms were clean.
- Deborah (2/5): - Booked this place at the last minute and it is clearly a long term stay for a lot of people. Check in was tedious with old school credit card scanning and the long beep of 1980s AOL connection and a too hot office. The room was sweltering when we walked in. The towels were tissue paper, no outlets available, a hole in the wall, and water that alternated between scalding and cold on a whim. I cannot imagine living here long term. For the price we paid, this place was terrible.
- Daniel (8/5): Better than expected - We lost track of time and were late checking in. We got there about 30 minutes past the deadline and hadn't been able to call. We walked in the office and were greeted by name by the gentleman at the front desk. He said he had stayed late because he was expecting us. Despite us being late and not calling, he was friendly and took his time checking us in.
The room was clean and quiet with a mini fridge and a microwave. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. There are a variety of restaurants just up the road.
- Kimberly (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE!
ClearView Motel is run down and falling apart. It's being used as low-income housing. The exterior alone will leave you running for the hills. Take your money and find another place to stay.
- Marco (8/5): - Room was clean and spacious for the money. As many have said, furniture is outdated but was just spending one night and it was fine for the one night.
- John H. (4/5): - Not as you advertised, Expedia. On the hottest day of the year, when the pool you advertised would have been so welcomed, it was closed. It had not been opened in years.
- YVETTE (10/5): - Nice, quiet place and very clean
- Michael (8/5): - Room was clean. Staff was kind, friendly and helpful. Neighborhood is a little sketchy.
- Darlene (8/5): - Outside is a bit sketchy, but the inside has been renovated. The room was clean, beds comfortable, many TV channels, microwave and large refrigerator.
