Guest Reviews
- Katrina (10/5): - Nice, clean and quiet
- Ariel (10/5): - Clean and quiet
- Norma (10/5): - Beautiful location
- Kyle (10/5): - Loved it!
- Patricia Dawn (10/5): - Our stay was amazing. The pools, staff, security, grounds and condo was awesome. There were a few minor things that didn’t work in our condo, but overall great. The bed was very comfortably. It was peaceful, relaxing and quiet. Definitely 2 thumbs up.
- Carla Marie (10/5): - Amazing, you will not regret booking here!
- Samuel James (10/5): - Would highly recommended Coco Breeze Private Residence, we had an amazing time!
- Hector (10/5): - Super safe area, nice people, close to the beach, friendly staff.
- Robyn (10/5): - Great accomodations. Nice pool.
- Diana (8/5): - The property itself is very nice, lots of pools. There's a little bar by the pool, but it closes at 5pm so after that you have to get out of the property for dining and drinks. No elevators, if you're on the third floor you have to take your luggage up and down yourself, they don't help with that unless you get private transportation with the hotel. You can't leave any dishes in the sink but they charge for housekeeping. The brochure in the room said you can pay for the beach club per day, but at reception they said you had to pay a whole amount per stay. They didn't have anyone to help us with our luggage to get out of the property, so we had to walk. They also do pool maintenance kind of late, which is
- Akshika (8/5): - Great stay, great location, great communication, and access to free pools! Only issues were low water pressure, stained iron board, and that outside vehicles cannot enter the property
- Martha (10/5): - We really enjoyed staying here. The property was clean, the staff were friendly and it was well maintained. We would definitely stay here again!
- Amanda (8/5): - The unit was dated and poorly maintained. There was no water pressure at all in the kitchen and washing dishes was difficult. The showers had only slightly better pressure. There was missing knobs on doors, and shutters had not been dusted in a very long time. The stove was also missing a knob. The refrigerator leaked water. The office staff were rude. We requested dishwasher tabs and the housekeeping staff delivered them while we were out and left our door unlocked for the entire day. Very unimpressed! Definitely not luxury, and barely passable as sufficient.
- Matt (10/5): Very nice property - The villa was exceptional. It was larger and more spacious than what the website described. I was there on business so did not get to use any of the amenities. There was a large pool - large enough to swim laps, tennis and pickleball courts, basketball court and a small outdoor carpet area for practicing soccer or personal workout.
It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach and very close to grocery stores and restaurants. The property is very quiet and it seems most of the residents are active older couples.
My only small complaint was the check-in process. Fortunately, I took advantage of the free airport shuttle and the driver knew what to do. They do not take you to the check-in place but straight to the villa. I was glad I connected to the Wi-Fi at the airport because the check-in info (qr code for getting in and out of property and the code for the front door to the villa) was sent via WhatsApp. I literally did not know this until we were at the door and the driver asked me to check my messages. If they had not previously downloaded I would not have been able to get in.
Once in, I did not realize they wanted you to formally check-in, My schedule was so busy I was not able to check-in or check-out since they were closed after business hours.
- Jef (10/5): - Very nice property, clean, felt safe, great value. Some construction noise but it didn’t impact our enjoyment of property.
- Sarah (6/5): Needs Love - The property needs some TLC the cabinets in the whole home had water damage and peeling paint. The pillows were flat as pancakes. The pool was great and the customer service was awesome.
- Gabriella (10/5): - I loved the experience I had here! They make sure you have everything you need as well as very informative about the surrounding area!
- Thomas (10/5): Black and White - Check in very friendly and details instructions.
Safe and top property.
- Robert (10/5): - Great pool and beach club
Very good internet around the site
Security conscious
Everyone spoke great English
- Alexei (10/5): Glourious Aparthotel - Fantastic property with amazing pool. Highly recommend to the families with kids
- Linda (10/5): - The grounds were beautiful. Lots of pool options and the Beach Club was awesome. The couch in living room was an outdoor set with plastic cushions which wasn't the most comfortable.
- Katia (6/5): - Frustrating to find the “reception”, to check in, it was in a plaza. Check out was not communicated and had to scramble to get things situation. Even thou at check in I asked what I needed to do, was told just to ensure dishes are cleaned. To find out I had to wait for someone to come do inventory to see if I broke or took something. And I had to walk to the “reception” office to provide my credit card again for my security deposit refund, when I was heading to the airport. Not an actual hotel and any questions or concerns are only to be addressed from 8am-5pm. If I had a maintenance emergency or questions/issues I had to wait until the next day. There is construction work noise early in the morning, if it wasn’t, you surely will be waken up with how loud the maintenance or housekeepers are outside. The actual unit, for a 1bdr is fairly clean and maintained, spacious. Worst part. At no fault to the place, there are many skunks all around and it smells awful all the time, so couldn’t enjoy being outside on the patio-outside of the mosquitos being all over the place. Was told by reception the beach was “5 minutes” walk, wrong, it’s at least 20 minutes to the beach. Overall, the place is nice and clean, best part are the several pools, but wouldn’t stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good but limited hot water - Amazing location only issue was the hot water was only in the shower. All other faucets/sinks were ice cold, even after running awhile
- Igna (8/5): - Thank you to the staff for the surprise they gave my son on his birthday. He got so excited with the balloons. We went to the pool, we didn't enjoy it because the water was too hot. We didn't know that we have a special request by email when I'd rather stay on the first floor. We were traveling with a 2 month old baby and as they ask for an email with the guest's information including dates of birth, we understood that thw reservation staff was going to assign an apartment on the first floor, not a second floor. Other than that the stay was amazing!
- Betsaida (10/5): - Very friendly staff. We had an amazing time, place is safe, close to everything, walking distance to restaurants and the beach.
- Marilyn B. (10/5): - The CoCo Breeze was great! Grocery nearby. Easy communication with staff. Cleaning service was ok. Beach club was also very nice. Would definitely recommend.
- Julio (6/5): - If you are not Anglo-American, your may be mistreated. Unfortunately, security tried to kick us out of the beach club because they thought we did not belong there. This did not happen to anyone else on the premises! It was an awful experience and we left shortly thereafter. We reported this to staff and all we got was a very nonchalant apology. We will not be going back to this place in CR.
- Alejandra (10/5): - Laura was a great host!
- Joseph Henry (8/5): - The condo was very roomy and nice. The Beach Club was excellent! Minor inconvenience of no hot water the last few days of our stay. We were on excursions for most of the day so did not have a chance to tell anyone in the office.
- Mario (10/5): - Great place overall. For sure will go back later on the year.
- Jane (8/5): Great place - Loved the place, especially the beach Club
- William (8/5): - Grounds on the property itself were excellent. Pools, plantings beautiful.
Furnishings and supplies inside the unit adequate. Staff provided more towels as needed.
- Luis Rolando Brenes (6/5): - The beach club and pools are really good. But we had an awful experience. They only gave us one room key and seré trying to charge 70$ for a key we never had. Amazing they loose their stuff and try to charge the customer.
- Mario (10/5): - Great place to stay in Guanacaste!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Parking is very complicated, since there are very few spaces and you have to park far away.
- George Alvin (10/5): - Very relaxing even though they lost power for a bit. Plenty to do
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Servicio excelente
- Rodolfo (10/5): estadía - Excelente habitación, muy cómodo.
- Valerie (8/5): - The property is very pretty and well maintained. FYI to anyone that has trouble climbing stairs. We were on the 3rd floor and carrying suitcases up those flights of stairs could be tough for anyone with health problems. Also they require you to have this piece of paper displayed in your vehicle, which ours was a rented golf cart, that has your name and room number in plain view of anyone that walks by. I didn’t think it was safe to do that so I carried mine in my bag. The master bedroom was really nice and spacious as well as the master bath and closet. No electrical outlets next to the bed to charge your phone, a definite design flaw on their part! Luckily whomever owns the unit we stayed in had a clock with a USB port so I could charge my phone. Also you have to fill out an inventory sheet which could be organized a bit better. Takes a bit of time when you don’t know where everything is and have to search all the cabinets and closets for items.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was very nice and in a great location. Lots of great amenities and very safe.
- Anabelle (10/5): Vacaciones inolvidables - El lugar es muy amplio, muy bien ubicado, se pueden encontrar todos los servicios a su alrededor.
- Johan (8/5): High end close to airport - Very nice unit with modern finishes and well stocked. Pools were wonderful, but the beach there was overcrowded and dirty compared to Tamarindo and our favorite beach of the trip playa Carrillo, which did have bigger waves than the other two but much nicer sand and scenery.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a great stay at Breeze on our first trip to CR. Conveniently located close to Coco beach. We took advantage of the Pacifico Beach Club which has a great location on the beach and nice (infinity) pools.
The property (Pacifico) itself has 4 nice pools and a shopping mart (Auto Mercado) and a few other shops at the entrance. There's also a couple of nice restaurants that we took advantage of. There's Freddie at the tour desk in the Breeze office who was very helpful in guiding us on the available tours and arranging one for us. Sarah had answered my emails prior to arrival, arranged an early check-in since our flight arrived at 6am and she told us about the property as well as some of the local restaurants, etc. Thanks Sarah and Freddie.
Checkout was a bit laborious - they sent a lady to do a complete "inventory" of all the items in the apartment and it took a good 20-25 mins while we were waiting to head over to the airport.
- Natasha C. (2/5): Dirty, ran down and not as pictured! - Unfortunately, my room looked nothing like the pictures. The room was dirty, ran down and desperately in need of repairs. We were not provided with face clothes everything was mismatched for towels and they smelled like mold. The shower tiles were so dirty we wore sandals in the shower. The walls and cabinets were covered with hand prints and dirt. I could look up in the shower and see into the attic due to missing light cover. There was hair all over the floor. Very gross!! I complained because the rental I selected looked like the pictures above and I was in a very dirty condo that I never would have paid for. The upgraded me into a room like the one above for 2 out of 5 days. The staff were doing their best to try to correct the situation but I still feel like I paid top dollar for nothing. It’s like ordering a Cadillac and receiving a rusty old ran down car. I’m not so sure that I would waste my money on Breeze in the future. The first week we stayed in a Private VRBO at the same location and it was way nicer and about $1000 cheaper. The owners were amazing to deal with. With Breeze you definitely don’t get what you see in the photos.
- Rafael (6/5): It was fine, but I was expecting more... - I definitely was expecting something different from the pictures. It was nice, but it seemed spectacular.
The apartment was very clean. There is no room service.
The seats next to the pool are not that many, you have to be there early if you want to sit and have a place to relax.
Among the pictures of the hotel you can see some of a house next to the beach they have for the resort sales. To have access to this bar and pool you have to assist the time share sales speech, or pay $70 per person.
You have to go in the car to the beach, or walk for 20 minutes. It is one of Guanacaste's ugliest beaches.
There is a supermarket right next to the complex (very convenient). The kitchen is well equipped. There are nice little restaurants of local food very close to the place, as well as a Hard Rock Café. We didn't go to the time share speech nor paid to enter the club house, so I don't know about the food there. We just ate something on the main pool's bar... pricey... Good idea to have something in your apartment.
All the people we encountered were very nice. Just prepare for the last day for the inventory... Have everything ready, they will count the last little spoon in the apartment... This is the first time I see something like this. Maybe they've had many people stealing things from the apartment, I guess I get it... But it was very mortifying when a towel or a plate was misplaced... It felt as if was stealing, even though I wasn't.... very uncomfortable
- Verified traveler (8/5): Private Residence is a good description - More like a home than a hotel. Very good with potential to be great.
- Bailey (10/5): - The condo was perfect from inside to out!! If Breeze had this condo everywhere I travel I’d book a stay with them. The pools and jacuzzi just as perfect. Security, restaurants, and shop A+
- Pat (10/5): - It was clean and spacious with very friendly staff.
- meshel (10/5): Best Place in Town!! - This resort is phenomenal!! The price is wonderful at $187 CAD plus tax. It is a beautiful condo with all amenities and washer dryer. The pools are gorgeous and the beach club is a lovely way to spend a couple days when not exploring the area. We will be back for sure!!
- Danielle (8/5): Better than expected - I am really glad I choose this place for a girls trip. The condo is very spacious, bathroom in the master bedroom(2 bedroom condo) was huge. Based on previous reviews, I was nervous about being pushed for a timeshare presentation but it never happened nor the additional cost for Wi-Fi or cleaning fee. I noticed that when they came to clean, they did not always replace all the towels we initially had( beach, face, hand& bath) each day we had a lower number. I also saw the fine print that said $200deposit cash for the stay but when I went to give cash at check in, they asked for credit card instead. Allen at reception was very nice. We told the cab to go to pacifico/hard rock cafe(biggest landmark), Breeze name is not visibly seen when you are driving up to the place. There are no signs to identify the condo buildings so get there early & they will escort you in a shuttle van to your place, we were on the 3rd floor which was a little rough w/o an elevator with all the bags we had. The place is very secure being a gated place and felt safe walking around the beach town. I forgot the flash light which is needed when walking the paths in the complex at night. Kitchen had all the ammenities& more than a stove top, we were able to bake as well.Supermarket is right at the entrance but super expensive! I would stay again as it is easier &cheaper to get to excursions from coco beach than many other beaches but the beach here isn't the prettiest but we went to beaches nearby.
- chrissy (10/5): Beautiful place, friendly staff - Beautiful grounds, staff is so nice, facilities are world class. Highly recommend adding the beach club option.
- JMarie (10/5): appartement hotel idéal - appartement dans une résidence hôtel, neuf, hyper bien situé
personnel très agréable, souriant et disponible
hyper confortable et très agréable
- Ken (8/5): Beautiful place and close to everything - The residences are very nice, the pools are fantastic. Only challenge we had was with the concierge/front desk, they were a bit unorganized and non-responsive. The Wi-Fi was ridiculously slow, not sure if it is a general issue with internet in the area, but it was at dial up speeds in our condo...but we shouldn't be on our computers anyway in Costa Rica...you should be outside! Forget streaming any video in the evening though.
