Guest Reviews
- Edson (7/5): -
- Craig (6/5): Older, no-frills budget motel, a bit too close to a busy road. - Smallish room and tiny bath were clean and adequately furnished. Comfortable bed. OK TV & internet. Quiet room.
Good value. Complex located on a very busy street with heavy traffic. One small window with poor natural light. Tight parking and internal traffic lane. Dripping bathtub faucet. Not for long vehicles or trailers!

Super clean room. So much nicer than the chains I’ve been using. These people care and are glad you are there. That I can’t find more of these places on my travels.

- Neliswa (6/5): - The property was in a good location. The room and beds were clean. Has a fridge and microwave The bathroom was dirty and there were lot of stains on the towels.
- Robert (7/5): Despite it's shortcomings, the pluses outweighed the minuses, and we would sray again. - Bed was nice and comfy. Location. Price. No closet to put clothes or bags in. Bathroom had no heat, so was cold. Outside door was not even close to being sealed. Especially along the floor there was a huge gap open to the outside, letting cold air in.
No tissues were privided.
- Jiseon (8/5): Reasonable price and clean room condition - Clean and reasonable price Very old fashioned style but it doesn’t matter

- John (8/5): - Room was very clean, bed comfortable, a little dated but otherwise the room was fine!

- Sue (9/5): Great location, relaxing, and clean. - We had a destination wedding in Delaplane & booked the Twi-Lite Inn in Front Royal, because they had great reviews and it was very affordable. Our venue was approximately 20 miles away. Front Royal is easy to navigate through. The owners are wonderful, very polite. The property is exceptionally clean & the beds are comfortable. We enjoyed the pool, and our room was equipped with AC/fridge, microwave, and a coffee maker. If you are looking for a clean, reasonable place to stay, you must book this place. There are tons of places to eat. We had breakfast at a local Mom & Pop place about a mile away from the Inn. I highly recommend L'Dees Pancake House. Thank you Twi-Lite Inn for an enjoyable stay. We will definitely book with you again for future travels.
- Robin (8/5): - The place is nothing to look at, but it was very clean, the bed and pillow were very comfortable, the shower was hot with good pressure and it was on a street with little evening traffic. The bonus was a screened window that allowed fresh air and the sound of crickets so I fell asleep easily.
- Jennifer (4/5): - The photos on line made the place look like a fresh light and airy remodeled room. The price and location seemed great. They offered us a different room when the first one smelled like mildew. The rooms were dark and smelled musty. Old cloth furniture is outside each room and is left out to the weather. It's very run down and not as advertised.

- Carol (9/5): Authentic old school motel. Clean. Excellent Value - What a find! UK family travel through Pennsylvania and Virgina. Great to stay in an authentic older motel. Friendly owner/manager. Very clean. Well positioned in Front Royal for the Shenandoah National Park.
Bonus of a pool. Excellent Value for money. Nothing really. Chairs on the veranda a bit warm. But comfortable. No issues.
- Kevin (8/5): -
- Jim (8/5): I will stay here again in the future. - I have stay here over a half dozen times over the years on motorcycle trips. It is excellent value for the money and is centrally located to restaurants. The owner is a very pleasant person and wants to make your stay an enjoyable experience. I plan to stay here again in the future. The facility is a bit dated but well maintained. There is traffic noise at times, but nothing a pair of ear plugs can’t handle.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Simple and Clean - With this place, you get what you pay for. Its inexpensive, so no lavish frills. Its dated, but that adds to the charm. If you want a clean and comfortable bed, clean room and clean towels, plenty of hot water, a mini-fridge and a pool right outside your door, this is the place for you. I used it just to grab quality sleep, at it fit that bill perfectly.
- Patricia (10/5): - owners very nice. room very clean.
- BERNARD (4/5): Motel of the 60’s - Old motel, hasn’t been updated, A/C smelled mildew. Comfortable enough, and the pool looked clean, but we didn’t go in.
- Bonnie (10/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): - Great pool and quiet area to stay in
- Marta (10/5): - Great location and pool. Rooms are quite and clean.
- Darla (7/5): -
- Skuk (8/5): the place is very quiet and cosy - the manager is very kind. and pool extremely refreshing loud kids in the pool
- Andrew (7/5): Good -
- Monir (10/5): - Good
- Anthony (8/5): Nice - Pool No hairdryers In room
- Verified traveler (2/5): - very dirty. left after one night instead of staying 2 and waiting for refund which they said they would give me for the second night
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (10/5): Clean, comfortable, great price, and owners are extremely customer focused! - Exceptionally clean and great customer service. Always a fabulous stay every year 🎉 It was all good!
- Bystry (10/5): Comfortable, clean, nice place at good price. - Very well-maintained. Nice traditional inn. Pool water was nice and kept clean. Loved the brick wall between me and the room on the other side. My room has real study wood furniture; not cheap fabricated stuff. Beds were very comfortable.
- Melvin (8/5): Good in general. Beautiful pool. - The price should be slightly lower for the quality of the rooms. if not for the pool I would never pay so much. They should definitely lower the price during the week and they would get more of my business. Price and check out time. No wifi
- Lysander (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (10/5): - This is such a delightful Inn run by lovely people. Is it a 5 star hotel? No. Was it built in the 70s? Probably. Nonetheless, the pool is crystal clear. The landscaping is gorgeous (The gentleman does it all himself!) Its close to a beautiful state park. The owners couldnt be more friendly. I've never slept better in a hotel.
- Ashley (6/5): Ok for one night - Location and staff were nice Bathroom was not cleaned well, ant infestation, beds were hard and uncomfortable
- Marshall (5/5): Adequate but not comfortable, do not recommend - The location was good. Beds were not very comfortable. Beds
- Ryan (2/5): - I stayed at this hotel for one night, and it was a huge disappointment. The room was not clean, had a strong musty odor, and smelled like moisture and mold. It was also very noisy. It felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming from the moment I walked in. The air quality was so bad I had trouble sleeping, and everything just felt damp and sticky.
For the price I paid, I expected at least basic cleanliness and comfort—but this hotel didn’t deliver either. I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here until they address these serious maintenance and hygiene issues.
- Dovell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Albert (9/5): Great stay. - I like the vintage style motel feel.
- Elijah (1/5): Bed bugs. Power went out. - Bed bugs. Power went out.
- Luke (10/5): - I stayed one night and was very happy with the property. I found it clean, quiet, with easy parking. Check in was quick. Great value for the price. I would absolutely stay again.
- Leonard (7/5): Good -
- Rose (7/5): Good - location, affordable, nice staff
- Jeffrey (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (7/5): One and done - Didn't get breakfast we left soon as we could in the morning because we hadn't slept good No overhead lighting in the room at all only lamps so was a darker room. The next door occupants were extremely loud so we were kept up for hours
- Alfred (9/5): Good place to rest after Skyline Drive - My wife and I stayed here for a night following our trip up the Skyline Drive. Check in and out were a breeze and the room was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the coffee maker in the room.
- Adrian (10/5): - Exactly as described. An older mom and pop motel which is deceiving from the outside. The room was updated, VERY CLEAN, and the bathroom was excellent. A great stay on my way home from DC. Would definitely stay again.
- Nat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barry (10/5): Our trip into the Twilight Zone - Absolutely thrilled to find a super clean hotel at a super price. The innkeeper and his wife are attentive to everything and everyone!
Thanks for a wonderful stay, the yellow tulips were wonderful
- Kunrong (5/5): Compact room, very loud bathroom fan - location. All the electrical sockets were loose and the bathroom fan was very loud, the bathroom fan was connected to the light so my partner was always woken by the fan every time I went to the toilet. Very compact space.C
- Ben (10/5): - Quiet, convenient, clean and quaint. Highly recommend.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leigh (10/5): Very efficient - Easy to check in and out
- Joanne (8/5): Nice enough - It did what it said on the tin. Comfy bed. Clean. A bit too noisy for me, being on the main road, but was okay.
- Kathy (8/5): - nice place
- Matthew (9/5): Room and Bathroom was clean. Every appliance ran without a problem. Worth it. -
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (10/5): - Everything is clean,no bugs at all. I triple checked cause I’ve experienced bed bugs etc before. The blankets are thin and it’s close to a busy road that’s the worst parts. Owner and wife are nice.easy check in.
- eugene (10/5): Memories of bygone days - Loved going back in time when we went on a family vacation in the 60’s. Time and upkeep has been kind to this place. The bed was very comfortable and the room stayed nice and warm.
- Leigh (5/5): Passable -
- carl (10/5): - Great place to stop on the way to DC or Shenandoah National Park
- Jaunice (10/5): - The staff were very polite. The process online as well as the check-in procedure in person was easy. I called beforehand to make sure late check-in (15-30 mins) was not an issue as my significant other & I were traveling afar. The gentleman was courteous & stated it was fine. The receptionist at the front desk was very thorough. Our time there was peaceful, thank you & everyone who made our short trip relaxing.
- Lester (7/5): Good -
- Gregory (8/5): Enjoyable stay - Charming mid century motel, very well kept and quiet. Clean room and comfortable beds. The bathroom is small but very clean.
- Debra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol (7/5): We just needed a simple, clean, comfortabl place to sleep while visiting family and it fit the bill. - The Twilite Inn was what we needed, a clean place with comfortable beds. It is older and small, but it met our needs for a reasonable price. The room was a little cramped and needed another light by the mirror.
- Valerie (10/5): - The lady at front was wonderful and helpful
- Elaine (8/5): - It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The heater worked well and was quiet. The bathroom was small but everything worked well. Even though the property was on a main road, it was quiet. It felt, however a little dangerous pulling out of the parking lot since the oncoming traffic approached around a steep turn.
- Megan (1/5): Bad - Staff made up a lie and refused to check us in.
- Steve (9/5): This is a great motel to stay at, specially if you’re going to Shenandoah national Park - Two-Lite Inn was very clean and very close to Shenandoah national Park. Nothing
- Pan (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (7/5): Surprisingly clean and comfortable. - One of the cleanest rooms we had on our recent road trip. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The facility is old, but appears well kept. Mattresses were comfortable. Getting rid of the old chairs and ash trays outside the rooms on the sidewalk would go a long way to making the place look as clean outside as our room was inside.
- Wayne (3/5): Poor -
- Lori (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (6/5): Dated but Decent - The room was basic. I febreezed it. I was looking for a convient place to stay before driving Skyline Drive and this worked out. Definitely a dated property but the staff was very nice.
- Annamarie (10/5): - The room was very clean and quiet, the property managers were very accommodating.
- Ronald (10/5): Great family run business perfect for motorcycle riders! - Small, clean, quiet. Nothing
