John and his team are all wonderful. We loved having an early check-in, enjoyed the bar downstairs and the location can't be beat.

Design of the building is beautiful, good wifi, rooms are comfy. Gentleman in the lobby on check out was very friendly. Restaurant and bar wasn’t open for 2 of the nights we stayed which wasn’t communicated to us. Front desk staff weren’t the friendliest and it felt like we were bothering them with questions. No information pack in the room about the hotel and facilities / restaurant or recommendations on the island. As a warning, basement rooms you can hear everything going on in the bathroom above you and they call it the garden room but they are very dark.

michelle (10/5): Excellent overall and would definitely return xx - Quaint, location & friendliness of staff 🥰 We stayed on a Sunday & Monday and due to being out of season the bar and restaurant were closed in the hotel. But not a real problem as lots open nearby ☺️

Walls are very thin so you can hear everything!! Decor is lovely and it’s in such a great location just a shame the staff and sleep don’t live up to the hype.

The location was convenient to everything that the island has to provide. Rooms are small but provide everything that you need to be comfortable. Very quaint.

For the price point, we thought we would have water replenished each day and the last evening of Our stay the room was not cleaned well at all. They did a great Job the previous nights.
S (10/5): Wonderful vibe and stay. - The location was perfect - walking distance to the ferry and the town. The room decor was tasteful and elegant. The bathroom was beautiful. The staff was very friendly, especially the inn keeper, John. Even after we had checked out and were contemplating what to do, he suggested going to Jetties Beach and let us use beach chairs and towels while we killed time for our evening ferry. The brunch we had at the restaurant was delicious, as well as the drink at the bar. I can't recommend this place enough. We really loved our stay and will be back! Since the hotel is an old renovated house, the walls are pretty thin so you can hear toilets flushing and doors slamming but it's to be expected.

Allowed for early check in after long flight which was so nice. Everything was great. They had 24hr coffee and muffins in the morning. Maybe some juice and bagels too? Green (9/5): Perfect - thank you. - The hotel is beautifully finished and in a great location (5 min walk from the ferries). We got engaged on our trip to Nantucket and the staff (John in particular) were super helpful with recommendations and left a gift for us in the room after our engagement. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Nantucket at Greydon House - thank you. Our only comments were the rooms aren’t huge - but none are in Nantucket so this can’t be helped. Other than that, the pillows were quite hard and not particularly comfortable.

Staff was helpful and friendly, we were in room 16 which I would highly recommend with its double sink and charming view with lenten roses in the window boxes. We had a poor experience at the correlating restaurant via mare, which we would decidedly NOT recommend. I think my only recommendation for management is to run their own restaurant and turn some of that space into a sitting area for guests with tea/coffee.

Juan Jaime (10/5): - We enjoyed the suite during this off peak visit. March is a quiet time in Nantucket but was charming in its own way. We enjoyed our walks thought the area, the good food nearby, and the comfort of the room. A world class shower- 💦 - so much water pressure! This room has its own entry which was luxurious. The coffee service was appreciated by this caffeinated duo. John, one of the innkeepers too time to chat with us and give us directions as to how to enjoy the surrounding area. Access to the rest of the island is easy either by the Wave, the currently free bus service, or by the nearly instantaneous arrival of Uber rides (really be ready when you call them they appeared in 30 seconds!). Tager, our little schnauzer, was very comfy with us and we all enjoyed exploring.

Alexandra (7/5): Enjoyed our stay and would visit again with a few tweaks to maintenance and service. - The room was cute and clean and the location was very convenient to the ferry as well as many of the restaurants (especially since few are open in March!). We had an issue with the thermostat and got prompt assistance from the front desk. Our bathroom door was missing part of the handle, so it was almost impossible to turn and we kept getting stuck inside. Some of the outlets didn't work consistently. Service was very mediocre -- everyone we spoke with at the front desk didn't seem to want to be there (earbuds in and chatting on the phone, watching videos, etc.) or help with bags. It was a little confusing to encounter this type of service in a well-rated hotel and during the off season when there aren't tons of people staying.
Tag (10/5): Home Run! - John and Shea were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The Inn was tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable. The restaurant Via Mare, was cozy and waitstaff were attentive and friendly. We would stay again.

Ay (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy place, friendly staff. The host allowed us early check-in and late check-out. They gave us information about the restaurants that are open on new year's eve. It was very helpful. The building is near the wharf and in walking distance from the touristy area. The art they have on the wall, the wooden key card, furniture, everything in the house makes the pretty and comfortable atmosphere of this hotel. Wifi was strong Spacy room Complimentary water in the fridge The private bathroom was clean There were bedside outlets so we could charge our phones.

Hotel went out of its way to assist us even though their restaurant was closed for Christmas. Great service by staff and owner Besides the restaurant being closed there really wasn't much to dislike. It is a great place.

Ed (10/5): - This beautiful boutique hotel combines old world charm and stately architecture befitting a royal fleet captain with well appointment rooms, lush bedding, and decoratively tiled bathrooms. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, and they go the extra mile to ensure your stay is a pleasant one. The abutting restaurant is super convenient and cozy with a unique bar. Although it’s operated by a different management team, it feels well integrated with the hotel. The hotel is located in a premium location within a couple blocks of the town center. Access to restaurants, shops, ferries, and the Whaling Museum couldn’t be more convenient. This is my favorite hotel on the island.

Our only issue was the noice factor; it’s in the heart of town so groups of people leaving restaurants/bars can be loud at night. If you stay here, on several levels, it will meet your “White Lotus” expectations.

Katie (10/5): Perfect immersion to the magical nautical island of Nantucket - The property was fabulous! The location could not be better, so central to everything. The property is so beautifully designed and has such an incredible atmosphere. The bar and restaurant were outstanding as well. The absolute best part was John the manager!!! He made the trip so extra special in every way! From recommendations to all the best restaurants and attractions and insights to how the locals live. Chatting with John was a highlight of our stay! Sam the bartender was also great! Topnotch drinks and conversation. Nothing - it was all perfect really. If I had to add one more thing to make it better it would be wonderful if the restaurant and bar were open before 5:30. Would be fun to get drinks during day or have breakfast at the hotel.

The location is perfect, right in town, close to the wharf, the shops, the restaurants, etc. It was a great place to stay. It was comfortable and perfectly clean. Attention to detail is impeccable. Above all, the staff was amazing. Everyone at the front desk made sure that our stay was seamless and unforgettable. Thank you. Rooms are small, but this wasn't a big issue for us. I think this is understandable of a historic house of these characteristics. The rooms were perfectly appointed and the bed was beyond comfortable.

Alan (8/5): A good solution in a location where accommodation is generally just that bit more expensive. - Rooms furnished and fitted to a high standard and perfect location to explore historic Nantucket town. Gardens level rooms were essentially basement rooms with minimal daylight or outlook.
Laurie (10/5): SMALL ROOMS. - Great hotel on a very BUSY street. Hotel is nice enough. One night we were at the front of the hotel and it was so LOUD until 2am. Rooms are small and it you have a large suitcase there is NO ROOM! NONE. I can’t believe the price of the room they get for this small of a room. Everything was fine but the rooms are way too small for us! Sorry Grayson, we won’t be staying again. Come for the bar and restaurant…very good!
