• Julie (8/5): Bon rapport qualité prix mais personnel peu aimable - L’emplacement Le confort de la chambre privée La cuisine bien équipée La terrasse La dame du petit déjeuner souriante et agréable Le manque d’amabilité du personnel. On a été accueillis jeudi soir par une femme très peu aimable voire désagréable. Le petit déjeuner (œufs brouillés, pain, café et jus) manque de fruits et mériterait d’être plus copieux.

• Bence (10/5): Amazing! - El Mural Backpacker Hostel was the best hostel during my trip to Peru. The rooms are very nice and quiet. The huge terrace is an amazing common area where you can relax and even work out. There is also a large, well-equipped kitchen, and the fruit market is just a few minutes from the hostel. The breakfast is amazing, and the staff are super friendly too. I loved spending time here and I warmly recommend it! -

• Aurélien (9/5): J’ai adoré ! - Hotel très calme mais proche du centre. Belle vue, belle décoration et personnel très sympathique. Ventilateur dans la chambre pour contrer la chaleur ! Il manque peut-être un peu d’équipement dans la cuisine quand on est beaucoup à y être.

Casi que la cocina no se puede usar. Pondría más ventiladores en la habitación. El del techo hacía michísimo ruido.

• Elena (7/5): Normale - Bella terrazza con vista su tutta la città, qualità prezzo ottima. Stanza molto spaziosa con letto matrimoniale e bagno in camera a un prezzo ragionevole. Colazione sulla terrazza buona con un servizio preciso e cordiale. L'acqua della doccia era fredda, se c'era un modo per accendere l'acqua calda non mi è stato spiegato al check-in. Il letto e le lenzuola erano molto puliti ma ho trovato molti capelli e polvere sul pavimento che chiaramente non era stato pulito. L'insonorizzazione delle stanze è inesistente.

• Daniel (9/5): place for a good sleep - nice and clean hostel in a quiet area, nice rooftop terrace, comfortable matress, very good suggestion on things to see and do (go to Lamas, you will like it!) breakfast is served after 8am, so if you have to get a bus at 8, there will be no breakfast

• Hopman (9/5): Superb - Great hostel overall, liked the breakfast, staff, facilities and the rooftop terrace! They had plenty fans in my dorm making it very comfortable to sleep. A bit far from what one could call 'the center', if one could even call it a center.

• Borbala (10/5): Exceptional - This is a super nice hostal, clean, good price point, nice rooftop, comfy beds, quiet area. It is a bit far from the centre, and not the most social hostel. But if you are looking for a quiet, restful place this is perfect. And close to the bus station for other big cities. The murals are super cool.

• Sarah (8/5): Very good - A hostel with a massive rooftop terrace. Kitchen is well equipped. Private rooms are very comfortable. Not the most social hostel, but certainly one in which to feel comfortable in. Overall satisfied, given the location of the hostel. The rooftop seating arrangement could use a wash though.
• Fiona (8/5): Very good - Big, bright room with everything you need, including 2 big fans to keep you cool in the heat. Fully equipped kitchen. Roof terrace to hang out on. Also, I loved the situation - out of the noise of the main city, and yet close enough to be easy to get to everything.

Location is a bit off center. Still walking distance, so. The staff was mixed for me. The guy who was there, when i arrived was quite unfriendly. I had immediatly the impression that he does'nt like me and didn't want to be bothered by my

• Bobsyouruncle (9/5): Further out but worth it - Large rooms, great terrace, relative distance from the city centre hence a bit more quite but at the same time dusty roads and far from things. All good.

My room had a window which faced an internal courtyard, which meant I had little fresh air circulating plus there wasn't a screen on the window, so I had to shut it at night. My fan was just circulating hot air. It was terrible. Internet isn't stable. There aren't a lot of places to chill out on the terrace. Despite signs saying the kitchen opens early, I had to ring the bell to try to find the receptionist in the morning before my bus (who was sleeping and didn't seem to be bothered that he didn't open up the kitchen). I didn't like the atmosphere at all and didn't find this the friendliest place to meet people. It's a 30 minute walk into town. No assistance in organising tours, like most hostels, the receptionist just gave me a binder to sort out everything myself. One to avoid personally
• Jip (7/5): Chill hostel with other backpackers - Chill rooftop terrace and a kitchen to use. Also they offer laundry service. Close to the supermarket and relatively close to the centre. It was really hot and they did not have aircon only fans. Had a hard time falling asleep in the dorm, then changed to a private room and there it was cooler and easier to sleep.

• Lydiako (9/5): Feels like home - Cozy clean rooms and available kitchen (nothing special, but there is all you need), big rooftop with a lot of space for work or training, wifi, friendly staff, great little cafe on the rooftop with good food and fresh juices. After 10 days it felt like home! If i ever stay in Tarapoto again, will choose the same place! Nothing really. Rooftop could be a bit more clean, but it's up to the guests as well to keep it nice. Sharp knives in the kitchen would be useful

But some people like soft so it's just a personal preference. Big no for the plastic plates and bowls in the kitchen.

Also plenty of fans in the rooms It's a bit far from everything. the staff weren't really present in the hostel only at the reseption. There's no toilet paper in the bathrooms only outside of it and you have to cut the amount you need before entering. Also the whole vibe of the place was off
