- Tom (9/5): Trevlig B&B på kort bilavstånd från Bristol flygplats - Trevligt rum och skön säng. Trevlig miljö i restaurangen. Fri parkering. Trevlig personal. Lite enklare frukost jämfört med andra BB vi besökt under vår resa. Debiterades en serviceavgift på 4-5 pund när vi åt middag som vi inte upplevt på andra ställen.

- Don (9/5): - Excellent food with good choice. Very comfortable bed and room. It is great to have real coffee, fresh milk and a percolator free in the room. Fairly quiet. No curtains. The wooden window blind does not keep much light out. Very light at 5am! It wouldn't be much trouble to also have a curtain to draw in front of the blind.
- Kate (7/5): Very Friendly and welcoming - All staff were very helpful friendly and attentive We only ate breaskfast here, however it was delicious especially the Eggs Benedict. The bedroom was comfy. Room 6 is above the kitchen fan however this goes off around 11pm There is a lovely beer garden, plenty of space and lots of places to sit and a childrens play area. Shower - Rain shower not very practical without hand held shower held shower - and the ceiling had mould. The pub needs a bit of TLC and specifically, the flooring near the kitchen/dining room needs repairing and some of the window sills in the dining room, the paintwork was chipped.

Perfect location before a flight from Bristol Airport. The noise from a fan , ftom outside, that went on and off all night but we would stay again but request a different room!

- Kieran (2/5): Overpriced very poor staff really bad smelling grease from the kitchen enable to open windows not good - Not much really As soon as we arrived, you walked into the bar and all you could smell was a dirty greasy kitchen. Nobody was around to help you. The doors were sealed. The windows were sealed shut so she couldn’t get any fresh air. and the radiator had been left on so it was stifling a lot of road noise overall just very poor.
- Alex (8/5): A Nice little pub to spend a night at - Nice Staff, lovely room, lovely food and good parking. The only negative, the room I had was at the front and it is a busy road with noise increasing from 5.30am and the delivery truck around 6 made it an earlier than wanted start.

- claire (9/5): Convenient pleasant place to stay overnight before heading to Bristol airport. - Lovely clean modern room and upstairs area. Great breakfast, coffee and evening meal. Friendly staff. Nice bar area. Tea and coffee in room and extra milk in flask provided on request. Bed was too soft in the middle so slept perched on the harder edges. A sign on the doors directing you back to the pub area from the bedrooms would be helpful as 3 doors without signs is a bit confusing. Didn’t see a lift so heavy cases needed to be carried upstairs.

Breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly. The room we stayed in was very close to the road and I did find it hard to get to sleep.

Great location- from train station at Backwell to Temple Meads, Bristol takes only 9 minutes We would stay again if visiting Bristol or North Somerset.

- heather (6/5): Good but…. - Liked the room, large and comfortable apart from only having one hard upright chair, so had to sit on the bed. Food in restaurant, evening meal was very good. Arrival was poor no clear idea of where to check in, customer pointed out the way to rooms. Waited 45 mins for breakfast while cleaner was cleaning the bar area. No one around when we left so just put key on bar and went…summed up the lack of personal contact with customers.

We had to let ourselves out through a dark bar area, no night lights left on. No staff on site through the night.

Badly stained mattress protector, and no pillow protectors. Biscuits in the jar not wrapped. Some breakfast items were of a poor quality, and the cooking of some of the items poor. No manager to speak to on check out.

Friendly and efficient staff, comfortable and clean room, decent shower, good range of teas, coffee, biscuits etc in the room plus fresh milk on request. I had a small issue with my evening meal. It was a supply problem and not the fault of the chef, who came to talk to me about it and was pleasant and courteous, offering me a free dessert. It was an unusual occurrence (food is usually excellent) and certainly wouldn't stop me booking again.

- Ross (9/5): Excellent facilities & food, good location with no issues from the airport, - A really comfortable room with a great shower & room cleaning if wanted. Breakfast was excellent and was included both mornings with our stay. Good location, no issues with the 10-15min distance Bristol Airport. Unfortunately the TV in our room & likely others is that it wasn’t a Smart TV which was unusual. Not a massive issue but it would have been nice to enjoy a film or series with your partner.

The hotel charged me £40 more than the amount stated in my booking, and even after a month, the difference still hasn’t been refunded. I was also disappointed with the condition of the rooms — they need renovation, and the mattress had springs poking through.

- Alice (10/5): Such comfy beds! - We needed a place to crash for the night after coming back from the airport, the roads were too dangerous (icy) to drive back home so we picked here to stay, the beds were soo comfy. Both fell asleep the minute our heads hit the pillow, all clean and tidy, nice big bath to relax in. Breakfast in the morning was very yummy 😋 Nothing.

- Gilly (7/5): Quick post Christmas family catch up - Great location for visiting family. Dog friendly. Very small bathroom. No where to put toiletries and felt very claustrophobic. Unable to open windows in bedroom. Poor choice of colour carpet as showed every little mark...it was cream ! Winter and 2 dogs doesn't sit well with that colour carpet. We tried our best ! Limited breakfast choice. Personally I would have preferred more of a continental style. No fresh fruit. However great coffee !

Double bed was small and very soft so not the most comfy, could use a bigger bed in that room size (easy to roll out!) Although the room and bathroom were very clean, the bathroom decor feels tired because paintwork and tiles are mildew stained in areas.

Some traffic noise, much less overnight, but we did realise that was likely when we booked. Bathroom needed some refurbishment, which we understand is planned.
