Guest Reviews
- Marek (10/5): Perfect stay - Everything was perfect: room temperature, fresh water in the botle, bed not too soft and not too hard.
- Maria Elena (10/5): - Bella struttura, accogliente e pulita. Accoglienza gentilissima
- Niko (10/5): Glengarrig B&B - Aamupala oli erittäin hyvä, kuten oli kommentoitu. Omistaja oli erittäin ystävällinen. Kotoisa maatilamajoitus. Lähikylästä löytyi hyvä ravintola.
- Tessa (10/5): - The Glencarrig B&B was the perfect place to stay! Our room was comfortable and we utilized the guest lounge and game room. The entire place was clean and quaint. Mary is a wonderful host with a true gift in hospitality. She cooked a delicious Irish breakfast showcasing her own jams and was quick to answers every question we had while giving us great recommendations for food and things to do. We listened to Mary’s recommendation to drive a nearby portion of the Wild Atlantic Coast and it was a highlight of our whole trip!
- Marisa (10/5): - Part of the charm of this great B&B is finding and getting to it. The road gets narrower and narrower, and you are very aware of the charms of rural Ireland. The B&B was well maintained and clean. There is a den downstairs and access to an outdoor space, but we did not use during stay. Our room was basic but very comfortable, spacious enough for two beds, and had a lovely view. The innkeeper is a wonderful hostess and baker. Our made to order breakfast was delicious and more than generously sized. We were even sent on our way with buttered and wrapped scones for the road.
- Dermot (10/5): - Great B and B. Wonderful host and exceptional breakfast.
- Michael (10/5): - The breakfast was delicious and the room was great!
- Brian (10/5): Glencarrig Farmhouse B&B May 24 - Large spacious room with good WIFI and lots of TV channel options in various languages. Breakfast included a lot of delicious home made items and the hostess was happy to accommodate any special needs you may have. Village is approx 2km by road and has an excellent rstaurant/bar. Ideal place if you just want tio chill out for a few days. I will certainly book here again when I am next in the area.
- Aaren (10/5): - Wonderful host made us feel right at home in a comfortable spacious room. A couple small concerns were addressed promptly. Breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed the company of another couple who were eating at the same time. It is a farm B&B so don’t expect a gas station or grocer in the immediate area, but the Long Dock restaurant is a 5 minute drive away and excellent.
- kp (8/5): - Friendly, nice, good breakfast, easy check in.
- Christina (10/5): Christina and Doug's Trip Abroad '23 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Glencarrig Farmhouse B&B. The owner was lovely and hospitable She gave us many helpful tips. We enjoyed speaking with her. She is a terrific cook. We felt at home here!
- Samuel (10/5): As good as a B&B gets - This place has it all - quiet, beautiful location, great rooms, incredibly tasty breakfast, a very friendly and helpful host, a games room with pool table, darts, etc and is fantastic value too. Can't recommend it enough.
- Andre (10/5): - Great B&B in a lovely countryside setting. Host very friendly.
- Johannes (10/5): Great place! - Great place! Mary is a truly great host. You really feel warmly welcome! Really nice surroundings on the countryside right by the ocean. Nice restaurant rather close by. Nice breakfast and a lot homemade stuff (jams, marmelade etc.), I even got a delicious brownie to bring on my trip : ). I will be back for sure!
- Jacqueline (10/5): The perfect B&B on Dingle peninsula - We had a great stay in this lovely B&B. Mary is the perfect host, very generous and friendly. The breakfast was amazing and one of the best we have ever encountered in a B&B.
- Caroline (10/5): - We LOVED our stay here! Mary is an absolute gem and I cannot speak highly enough about her hospitality - or her cooking. She greeted us with cake when we arrived and we had made-to-order breakfast in the morning. I had French toast, my mom had pancakes, and she even made yogurt parfaits with granola and stewed fruit as a starter - and every single thing we ate was better than the next!
The property is in a perfect location for anyone looking to take a break from the large crowds of tourists, all while still spending time in someplace beautiful. We stayed here as a stopover after visiting Loop Head, which isn’t as heavily advertised as some of the other locations on the Wild Atlantic Way, but is equally as mind-blowing. The village of Carrigaholt is quiet and peaceful, with a few pubs on the main road through the village if you’re looking for some dinner nearby (the place we went to had great seafood).
We loved the farmhouse vibe of Glencarrig and the cute little cows they had on the property! Our room was clean and cozy, and there was plenty of seating in the common areas for planning out the next leg of our travels. This was easily one of our favorite B&Bs that we stayed at on our trip and we will definitely be back on our next visit to Ireland!
- Nathalie (10/5): - Accueil chaleureux, au calme dans la nature. Parfait pour se ressourcer
- Isidro (10/5): - I highly recommend staying here for visiting this beautiful and secluded spot in Ireland: the Loop Head peninsula.
My room overlooked the Shannon estuary with peaceful rural and water views from the windows.
The bathroom had a great, powerful hot shower, which I found better than what most hotels offer nowadays!
The host, Mary, is always available and ready to help and she cooks awesome breakfasts. Best pancakes I've ever had!
The town of Carrigaholt is lovely, the bay, the castle the main street with The Long Dock (a great restaurant).
- Kim (10/5): - This was a very hospitable place to stay! The countryside view was beautiful. Highly recommend!
- John (10/5): Lovely spot - Lovely friendly - home away from home - guesthouse. Mary and Luke, our hosts, were very generous and hospitable. We had beautiful sea views and the best breakfast imaginable.
- Jim (10/5): - Glen Carrig hostess, Mary, was very welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a sitting room and facilities to make a cup of tea. Breakfast was substantial served with homemade yoghurt and granola.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place to stay while in carrigaholt. Breakfast was outstanding.
- Sarit (10/5): - We had a great time, Mary is a wonderful host - gave us amazing restaurant recommendation and sent us on our way with home made muffins.
Place is clean and heating was working well.
Highly recommended.
- Rodrigo (10/5): - The best place we stayed at in the whole Ireland
- Roger (10/5): A very good B&B in a great location - Great location, friendly helpful proprietor, comfortable B&B room with an adjoining lounge
- Caroline (10/5): - The location is great, the owner Mary is very friendly looking forward to our evening
Sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft!
- John (10/5): - Amazing stay ,beautiful position ,friendly and helpful
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely farmhouse in a beautiful setting. Warm welcome from Mary and Luke.
Rooms are spacious well presented with lovely patchwork quilts and views of the countryside and sea!
Breakfast was delicious and very generous- Mary had baked scones in the morning- very yummy!
The surrounding area is quiet and very beautiful- highly recommend a visit.
- Anna (10/5): - Trevligt B&B i mysig lantlig och lugn miljö. Fantastiskt bemötande av Mary. Supergod frukost. Rummen något omoderna, men fräscha. Skulle gärna bo där igen.
- Chuck (10/5): - Mary, the owner, was delightful and very helpful. Our room looked out on the water and the family's cow pasture. We enjoyed tea and cake on the patio after returning from a drive to Loop Head Lighthouse. We enjoyed dinner at Long Dock in Carrigaholt and returned to sleep-off our jet lag. Breakfast was excellent and the company of other guests was as well. Our only regret is that our flight delayed our arrival and we could only spend one night at this outstanding B&B.
- Jonathan (10/5): Friendly place, stunning scenery - Absolutely loved my time at Glencarrig, I went down there to go on the dolphin trip (which is amazing) but was blown away by the hospitality, location and yummy good nearby. Would go back without a doubt.
- Katherine (10/5): - Our stay was great! They were very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Th owners also do fishing charters

- Kathy (10/5): For fishing - Just 1 night stay. Very comfortable room, nice breakfast, easy check-in.
- Kim (10/5): View of the ocean - Very friendly, recommended to us a community production show the night we arrived, absolutely wonderful Irish musical and dance experience for us!
- michele (10/5): A perfect stay - Very nice place to stay and very warm hospitality. Well equipped common space for have a nice evening with friend. Wonderful breakfast and delicious gooseberry's jam hand made!
- Shane (10/5): Perfect Getaway - Totally enjoyable trip , Mary was a wonderful host , sea view from room , the perfect combination of peace and quiet I was looking for ! 5 out of 5 !!
- Nanette (10/5): A quiet and perfect place to holiday - We choose and booked this hotel at the last minute while traveling through Ireland. It was a little off the path but in a sweet quiet area. Mary was so sweet and lively. She gave us some of her homemade pudding and made us feel at home.
We enjoyed playing pool before bed then waking up to a nice breakfast. She gave us great advice on some local places to visit that we would not have heard about otherwise.
