• John (10/5): A real find for a hotel in Florence! - Everything! From Daniel greeting us and making dinner reservations to a very large comfortable room. The location was perfect. Quiet but close to the city square. We would recommend this hotel to guests that want to enjoy Florence by foot. About 25US dollars to get to the hotel from the Florence main train station. No car necessary.

• Otto (8/5): Exkluzívny apartman pre špecifického klienta - Ubytovanie bolo vysoko nadštandardne ,vzhladom k tomu ze sa jedna o apartmánové ubytovanie v historickom mestskom dome,mozme ho z viacerych hľadisk hodnotiť ako takmer az luxusne .Apartmanu nič nechýbalo,nachádza sa v absolutnom centre Florencie ,ako mimoriadne problematické vsak vnimame parkovanie ktore je možné iba v niekoľko stovák metrov súkromnej garáži v ktorej auto necháte a sluzba vam ho zaparkuje a pri nahlásení odchodu pripraví .V prípade ak máte psov ktorých potrebujete vencit ,ubytovanie v centre Florencie rovnako ako pri tomto apartmáne neodporúčame vzhladom na absolutnu absenciu zelených ploch a parkov ktore nie su pri apartmáne v malej dochádzkovej vzdialenosti.Apartman nemusi byt vhodný pre špecifického mestského klienta ,nie pre dynamickú rodinu s malými deťmi ci cestovateľa so zvieratami . Parkovanie moze byt problem,rovnako sa treba nastaviť ze lokalita apartmánu je v absolútnej centrálnej mestskej zone
• Sonny (9/5): A comfortable stay in an elegant Art Deco property - This was an unusually attractive property, completely Art Deco in its interiors, that wonderful aesthetic movement that swept the world between roughly 1920-40. This is what makes La Maison du Sage stand out. That was a key reason why I chose it. For some strange reason, the staff we encountered never behaved in the way typical hospitality staff behave elsewhere - no smiles, no greetings. The staff need training in this area from the reception to the breakfast room staff to the cleaning staff. Strange.
• Laurent (10/5): Just one word, next time (as we will come back), your our stay! - It was a second time in firenze and the first time was catastrophic. This year it s started as same with a first rental of a BnB but a disaster (don t want to develop but 0/10). We had to chance from morning to evening. A room was available in THIS Hotel. We moved from Hell to Heaven! Truly, this hotel is so well located (piazza santa croce is perfect to be close to historical downtown but not crowded and CALM!!). The room was also perfect , huge, so amazing designed (art deco) and CALM!) A lot of thanks to the Team (special mention to Daniele which was so helpful, good adviser, welcoming, friendly, so goodwilling! Thanks you saved our holidays in Firenze). Nothing all is perfect and you have a private access so you can come and leave without disturbing the lobby.

It felt very luxurious compared to a regular hotel suite, more apartment than regular room. Also the staff was super accommodating and helpful, made the stay excellent.

We stayed for one night and, unfortunately, there was no water in the morning. VERY inconvenient. The explanation was rather general that it affected the entire building and probably block. Didn’t change anything. Apparently, the water was back 1 hour before checkout, but had not manifested in the second floor where our room was located. Bad luck for a long travel day.

Great spacious rooms. Bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds ever and shower was excellent. We didn’t book for breakfast but it looked good every morning and kind of wished we had. Super clean. Great facilities and complimentary drinks and snacks. We would 100% stay here again. Easy to find, easy to get to and from the airport. Friendly staff. 5/5 for sure.

The entire hotel is simply impeccably clean, elegant, and incredibly cozy. I felt completely at ease from the very first moment. • Ian (10/5): Wonderful again. - Our second stay at the Maison du Sage - although we probably preferred the Queen room we had before, mainly as it had a bath, the king-sized bed in this room was enormous and quite spectacular! Breakfast was a generous buffet, the whole place was spotless, and the staff were all exemplary.

Un altro grande punto a favore è la posizione: l’hotel si trova praticamente accanto alla Basilica di Santa Croce, perfetto per visitare tutto comodamente a piedi. La macedonia di frutta presente ma in quantità minima. Niente spremuta nonostante ci fossero arance.

• Melanie (8/5): Tolles B&B für ein verlängertes Wochenende - Gute Lage, grosszügige Zimmer, jeden Tag wurden Wasserflaschen aufgefüllt. Leider keine Minibar vorhanden. Ich denke, es wäre schön, wenn genau solche Unterkünfte eine Minibar mit lokalen Produkten anbieten sollten. Es wäre so einfach. Es gibt keine Bar in der „Lobby“ und nur Frühstück gegen Aufpreis. Bademäntel wären ein Plus und eine funktionierende Heizung. Wir haben die Klimaanlage auf 28 Grad gestellt, ging gut, ist aber nicht sehr sinnvoll. Im Familienzimmer das hintere Zimmer hat gleich beim Fenster einen lauten Ventilator. Unmöglich zu schlafen. Leider wurde am Haus renoviert und es war von Fr-So laut von den Arbeitern. Es wäre schon gewesen, hätte man das im Vornherein kommuniziert.

Several reviewers have mentioned noise. One of our rooms was overlooking the street where a bar is located but it really wasn’t very noisy and they closed by 11pm. If you stay in a central part of any city, you can’t expect silence.

• KATHRYN (10/5): Lovely big window looking on the square, friendly staff, buffet style breakfast. - Location is 10/10 and there was a little Christmas market happening in the square outside the church-which we could see from our room. Florence was easily walkable and we felt safe. Room came with water, coffee, tea, and it was refreshed each day with housekeeping. Complimentary slippers and a big shower. Breakfast was buffet style and someone was on hand to make whatever coffee/espresso drink you wanted. Shoutout to Mary who checked us in! Sink was shallow and wide.

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Sehr empfehlenswert, werde das Hotel beim nächsten Aufenthalt gerne wieder buchen.

• peter (6/5): Time to find an alternative place to stay whilst in beautiful Florence. - It’s in a great location, so everything more or less is in walking distance. The building has so much character and renovated to a high standard. This is our second stay, having stayed at the Maison Sante Croce twice. The breakfast area is too small. When the tables are occupied it’s difficult to access the buffet breakfast without squeezing pasts guests. The servicing of rooms is not good. Toilet paper, tissues, tea, milk ot provided or replenished. You then make a trip to the “reception area” which is up a small set of steps but roped off for some reason…..not to welcoming. No chairs in our room and no lounge area on our floor in which to sit, relax and chill.

• Donya (10/5): - The location was perfect. We wanted to be close to the Christmas market, and it was only a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Everything was very clean. The room view was amazing. The hotel was very clean and well organized. The room was spotless, the bathroom was very clean, and all the essentials like towels and bathroom amenities were provided. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room, and the breakfast was very good and fresh. Overall, I highly recommend this place. We could easily walk to all the attractions and had great access to everything. Really nothing to say

• Teli (7/5): - Location, bang in downtown. People who want to see/ experience the City by foot, this is perfect location. Applicable to people, who travel by their own vehicle. Parking - parking was mentioned as paid parking. Amount was not specified till you confirm the reservation and primarily pay for your stay. However, hotel does not have parking on their own, so does not control price. On confirmation of stay we realised the parking charge of 30 euro as extra per day. That was 30 euro per day, which added to the total cost. On top of it, parking facility charged more (42 euro per day of parking plus manoeuver charges) - which takes to total cost of stay to significantly higher.

• HoiAnPete (4/5): So disappointing to return. - We stayed here before 3 years ago, hence our return visit, prices have increased a lot and the standard has dropped. There’s lot of noise from the bar next door into the early hours and very little acoustic attenuation between rooms. Breakfast not great as you slide between other people to obtain food from the buffet. Servicing of our room leaves a lot to be desired, especially when basics should be replenished. Note - we’ve also stayed twice in the Maison Santa Croce before PH took it over and really enjoyed our stays. It looks like it’s to find somewhere else to stay in beautiful Florence. Don’t get complacent or greedy guys (PH).

• davidrW8379GF (10/5): A first class stay at a first class hotel!! - My wife and I stayed at La Maison du Sage from the 24th November until the 1st December2025. We have been to Florence many times over the years and this hotel has to be the best we have stayed at, the staff were great and so helpful, the decor was lovely and our room was clean and comfortable and quiet also the breakfast room was excellent with a good array of food on offer!! If we ever return to Florence we will definitely book this hotel again, as it is very close to the Church of Santa Croce and a short walk to the Piazza delta Signorina and the Uffizi Gallery and also the many Coffee shops and restaurants .

Although there was no availability at La Masion the staff made arrangements at their sister property, Aqa Palace for us. Extremely accommodating! Nothing
