Guest Reviews
- Beverley (10/5): - Everything, friendly welcome, beautiful room and we were very well looked after.
Location is very quiet and relaxing.
Breakfast perfect and the evening meals were delicious and beautifully presented đ
Lots of dietary food options Nothing not to like
- Bridget (8/5): Good location. Friendly welcome from the hosts. Lovely breakfast. - The location. secure cycle store. Breakfast. The "kettle" device did not regulate the amount of boiling water that came out efficiently. had to whip the cup away to avoid overflowing.
- Christopher (10/5): Excellent location, great facilities. - We loved everything about the Crown Lodge. The food was excellent and the location, in a quiet village, is just perfect.
We will stay there again on future visits to that area.
- Jacqueline (9/5): An oasis of calm with a warm and friendly welcome - Very friendly, clean and well appointed. Great value for money. We can recommend the breakfast - best poached eggs and bacon rolls. đ
- thomas (8/5): Very good for short overnight visit. - Welcoming, friendly, clean and tidy. Food was excellent good pub grub. Personally the bed was too low and the shower small.
- Katie (10/5): - The family room was very spacious, the beds were very comfortable and the owners are lovely! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to the area. Nothing.
- C J (9/5): A short stay but welcoming, friendly, good no nonsense meals -

- Courtney (10/5): - Lovely rooms with extremely comfortable beds for the perfect nights sleep, the hosts couldn't do enough for you and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
- Steve (8/5): Bayliss family visit - The food was good value for money. The staff were friendly. Over all a good visit We didn't like the bathroom light going off every few minutes in the bathroom in room 7.. It's not a good experience showing in the dark.

- Janet (7/5): - The hosts Barry and his wife were very friendly & helpful, with Barry carrying our bag up the stairs which was very much appreciated. Our room which was a twin, was a good size and clean.
The breakfast was good and there was parking in an attached carpark Unfortunately the beds which were metal framed were very low and had thin mattresses on them, perfect for children but not for us older adults.
The bedside light and kettle didn't work. We didn't report it until the morning as we were both tired. A shelf under the TV became loose. The proprietors were very apologetic.
- Ian (10/5): -
- Sasha (8/5): A wonderful stay, great staff, lovely food, fab feel! - Lovely little b&b. The owners were lovely! The decor is beautiful. Room was great. Very clean. The breakfast was amazing! The matress was a little thin and the bed was squeaky.
- LadyRaken92 (6/5): Good location and friendly hosts - Location was good.
Very friendly.
We arrived fairly late and we were able to get a main meal. Cooked breakfast - it came with chopped tinned tomatoes, bacon that had a freezer twang, sausages, beans & toast.
Sauce - only a teaspoon each provided.
Tea, coffee & juice was one cup & small glass each.
Small jug of milk on table for both cereal and hot drinks.
Shower - no power.
Toiletries advertised as being provided consisted of hand soap and shower gel only.
- Barry (10/5): -
- ben (10/5): - Lovely quiet location, excellent hosts & excellent food
- Lynn (10/5): - Hosts really friendly, food was fantastic, room comfy.
Road to village from south very rough lot of potholes, recommended by owner to come in from north definitely better

All in all a delightful stay.
- Helen (8/5): - Great a lot of choice
- Stewart (4/5): -
- clare (7/5): - Nice bar downstairs freindly owners No proper window only velux roof one and cricky floorboards and can hear everything the room next door
- Kim (6/5): - The room was lovely, very comfy and clean, very quiet through the stay. There's nothing around but we found a few walks to kill time...
The 3 stars I gave because, they didn't cater for vegan or celiac. I did mention it to them way before we arrived and they did mention I could bring my own food and they would cook it but I paid (full)for bed and breakfast, I couldn't have cereal as no milk,if the weather wasn't so warm I may have brought my things but I wouldn't of paid full payment.
My breakfast that I got was ok, my sister had the last 2 slice of Freefrom bread as she couldn't have a it at teatime otherwise she wouldn't be able to have the bacon sandwich.
Please be mindful of allergies, being lactose intolerant and celiac wasn't a choice.
- Donna (10/5): -
- Debs (10/5): -
- Lee (10/5): Hidden gem - Great B+B, lovely food in the evening and lovely brekkie. Nice clean room overlooking the rear garden.
- Richard (8/5): - one of the best breakfasts i ever had
- David (7/5): Reminiscing with my in-laws - Located well close to Boston No sockets above tables in the room , I had to plug my phone in knelt on the floor
- Mick (10/5): Clean comfortable and friendly - The food was lovely Nothing everything was lovely for a weekend break
- Philip (9/5): - The peace and quiet of such a lovely location. The food and drink was great and the owners were such nice people. A great place to stay. Nothing I can think of.
- Eric (10/5): The Crown Lodge was a fantastic place to stay in a very quiet and rural location. - Breakfast was excellent superb, the owners were outstanding, lovely place to stay, very clean and comfortable, it had everything you needed for a fantastic stay. There was nothing to dislike.
- David (7/5): -
- Helen (10/5): - Very welcoming and friendly
We found the bed comfortable and had a good night sleep
Nice breakfast which set us up for the day ahead The shower was a bit underwhelming but didn't distract from a great place
- Clive (8/5): Comfortable - Friendly staff, great location Vibrant decor
- Andrew (8/5): Great short stay venue. Good value for money. - Nice quiet pub with great food and breakfast. Lovely staff. Room was a little tired. Had problems with the toilet not working properly.
- Karen (10/5): - The hosts were so accommodating and friendly. Food options for breakfast and in the restaurant consisted of a good choice and were perfectly cooked by Barry. Advertised as a B&B, they have a licensed bar and evening restaurant which elevated it's level of amenities. Would definitely book again.
- Andrew (9/5): - Great breakfast. Plenty of options provided.
Room was good value and in a nice location.
- Keith (10/5): Great place for airplane spotting and cycling - Great service lovely pub/restaurant
Friendly staff great location, best breakfast I've had in a long time family room has double bed and 3 singles and Aspel cider on draught,
I'm in heaven đ Nothing
- George (10/5): Fabulous - We loved every single second of our time at this fantastic B and B. Going home. To be honest, there was nothing to complain about .
- Peter (10/5): Cosy B & B with good food, drink and facilities - The hosts! Lovely helpful couple.
Breakfast, evening meal, drinks - perfect.
- Richard (9/5): Very enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend đ - Very clean and very nice Nothing
- Robert (9/5): A welcoming, warm, and comfortable stay, with a good breakfast in the morning. - The location was lovely - wish we had time to dine and have a drink in the evening. Loved the family room, with lots of space, and that added to what was a very welcoming atmosphere for adults and children. The bathroom light turns on automatically, which is great, but it also turns off automatically, so I had to open the shower door to trigger the sensor a few times. Not a big issue!
- Graham (8/5): A lovely stay at a nice place, beautiful surrounding countryside. - A lovely stay, only one night but would like to return for a weekend stay. Very attentive hosts, nice atmosphere. Very nice breakfast and a comfy bed. Nice and clean too. Nothing for us.
- wendy (10/5): A very pleasant stay and if we're ever in the area again we'll definitely book up here sgai - Barry and Corrine were perfect hosts, very friendly, fun, yet professional too. Meals were very tasty and there was a good menu choice.
The bedroom was cosy and the bed really comfortable.
- Elaine (8/5): -
- Gary (10/5): A little gem - We had a great stay here, lovely quiet area, we found on a last minute stay and itâs a little gem, itâs a short drive to Skegness as that was our intention for the stay however we didnât mind that, itâs nice that they accommodated for more than 2 children in the room share as we have 3, the owners are lovely and made us feel comfortable from the get go, the only issue we had was the shower, we found the water was far to hot to shower the kids even on the lowest setting which would have been difficult if we had decided to stay longer than a night, breakfast was nice and was asked what time we preferred to have it which with 3 children itâs chaotic in the morning so it made it easier not to have to rush down
- Barrie (8/5): - Great location. Nothing
- Dominic (10/5): -
- LORRAINE (6/5): More of a B&B than a hotel, would not return. - Parking Bar didnât open till 6pm.
Sensor light in bathroom goes off when you are in the shower, leaving you in total darkness.
Very old fashioned property and rooms.
- Michael (7/5): Decent, clean accomodation on the NCN1 - Decent accommodation right on the NCN 1. Clean. Quiet. Happily accommodated my touring bicycle.
- Colin Elrick (8/5): -
- Dylan (10/5): Hotel was suitable for my needs for my trip - Nice quiet location N/a
- Elizabeth (9/5): -
- kerry (10/5): -
- oliver (10/5): - Friendly and welcoming, good breakfast
- Stephen (10/5): Excellent place to stay - Excellent place to stay. Clean, comfortable, excellent food, good value for money and friendly hosts. Would recommend it without hesitation.
- Tessa (8/5): Diversion! - I was made to feel very welcome - though it was apparent that The Crown Lodge is much more a B&B and less an hotel.
It was rather further from my trip destination - RAF Coningsby - than was comfortable BUT this was largely because there were three or four road diversions every time I went to or returned from anywhere!
- TARA (10/5): Staff were really friendly, room was decorated lovely and the food was excellent - Everything Nothing
- MARY (8/5): Comfortable B&B with welcoming hosts - We enjoyed the breakfasts and the hosts were friendly and helpful. We didnât like the creaky floors and thin walls.
- William (6/5): -

- Debbie (10/5): Enjoyable stay! - Stayed here a few times as convenient for our needs, comfortable, peaceful, and friendly owners.
- Tracy (5/5): Too long - Secure parking
Outside space Toilet just about flushed
Bed wasnât made up on 2nd day
Hot water boiler couldnât be filled under the tap
Only 1 tv channel to be had
Heard owners arguing in the kitchen and for the record.. she did ask for well done bacon, I heard her
- David (10/5): - Perfect food very good Nothing bad to say
- Patricia (9/5): Lovely place, very welcoming and great value for money. - The location was lovely. We were made very welcome by the hosts and the room and facilities were of a high standard. - Steve (10/5): - Really friendly host's and atmosphere with great food, the mixed grill was amazing, the breakfast was freshly cooked really set me up for the day. Will definitely be staying here again.
- Viv (3/5): We wonât be back - ? Small room, wobbly wardrobes, âgarden viewâ only if you craned your neck, potholed-single track roads to access hotel (nightmare in the dark)
- Matthew (8/5): -
- Leslie (8/5): - Barry and Corrine made us feel very welcome on arrival. The property was very well laid out and the decor and furnishings were pleasant. Our room was nice and cosy. Our cooked breakfast was delicious. We will be returning.
- Michael (9/5): An very enjoyable stay in a lovely peaceful and quiet setting - with great hosts! - A very nice clean and comfortable room in an equally clean and pleasant Lodge. Our hosts were lovely and every need was met - with excellent, good value evening meals freshly cooked to order in the restaurant; likewise the breakfasts. Highly recommended. We were quite happy to stay in this small and quaint hamlet but some may find themselves a bit isolated - especially if you don't have your own transport.
- Stuart (5/5): Fulfilled our need for a one-night nstay - Suitable for one night
- david (8/5): - Very friendly, was clean and tidy.
