Guest Reviews
- Alison (6/5): - We stayed at the Hotel Beach House/ Commercial Hotel in Nambour for 2 nights. The room was relatively comfortable and satisfied our requirements as we were attending a music festival on the Sunny Coast. Positives - reasonable price, close to Nambour amenities, on-site bar and bistro, friendly staff. Room for improvement - no on- site parking (only street parking close by), no kettle in our room, but tea and coffee provided! Unable to watch wall mounted TV unless you stood in front of it and if you like stains, then you'd love the room we had!
- Jithu (2/5): - Everything
- Inna (4/5): - Taps are liking, aircon covered by bed, nowhere to put your stuff.
- Sharon (4/5): - Room looked nothing like photos online. Hotel is not in a good area of town. Too many undesirables hanging around the street drunk, fighting etc.
- Anita (8/5): - Great price, comfortable beds, clean. Manager was very attentive. Close to shops, restaurants and local pool.
- Freeman (2/5): - Cockroaches
- Chris (6/5): - Basic Room and bathroom. If your looking for a roof over your head for the night. It will do the job. Restaurant food was good.
- Annette (4/5): - Didn't like no appropriate parking for clients. The amount of steps to get to accommodation as I am disabled. No mention of the stairs when booking in event of people been disabled. Could bearly read in room as light was so dull. Lights above bed not working. No power point in bathroom. Not recommending accommodation
- David (8/5): - cafes close walk away
- Sandra (4/5): - No restaurant open which stated open no milk in room noisey took card fees on debit card no glasses in room
- Ward (6/5): - had noisey air conditioner
- Christina (8/5): - Staff and food were wonderful
- IAN (8/5): - Basic & affordable accomodation, right in the centre of town. Great pub meal.
- Bal (6/5): - Staffs were friendly. You get what you pay for. Its basic.
- Tim (10/5): - Well, there are so many things that could be upgraded in the room for a total cost of perhaps $80 or less per room! I would be happy to give my suggestions to management, for free! The rooms could be SO improved SO easily!!!
- Gary (2/5): - The worst, most disgusting room we have ever seen. Looked at it, stayed 15 minutes & handed back the keys...waste of petrol & time. DO NOT GO!
- Mark (6/5): - Great meals but rooms are abit old and so are the bed mattress
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a year, bed was dreadfully uncomfortable, drunk & loud people both in the corridors & outside. I’ve stayed in far better for far less. I’ll sleep in my car before I stay there again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location is great.. staff are friendly despite the disruptions of major renovations that were underway.
- Paul (6/5): - Property was Central and handy to everything. Property was old and a little run down but kept nice and clean. Motel is attached to pub and bistro so can be a bit rough at times.
- Tracy (4/5): - We picked Nambour as a base for hiking in surrounding areas.
Hotel Beach House Nambour staff were great
Britney was so lovely & very helpful, central location & down stairs eating area looked nice.
I would not recommend staying here with children though it’s definitely not for family or kids.
Our room was very old and worn it could definitely be painted & renovated.
Perfect for a weekend away with the boys on the booze.
- Sal (6/5): - Good meals
Rooms need a bit of an upgrade
Rust in the water pipes
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room they had for us lost key then gave us room with bathroom sink blocked. Room was dirty, jug still had water in it. Test tag on jug well over due 2016. People running up and down isle ways slamming doors. Needs to be refurbished big time fridge still dirty. Overall not worth $105 a night. Who ever cleans sack them or pay them more!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Ibhate everything except they have a bar downstairs
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very friendly staff, helpful in every way. You can't expect luxury at that low cost
- Debra (2/5): - Staff were friendly. However, our room still had a dirty towel in the shower tray which we didn't discover until we had a shower. Also the fridge had food left in it from the previous occupant. We didn't realise we had a air conditioner as it was behind the single bed. We had no sleep because it was extremely hot and we had to have the window and curtain open which allowed a very noisy industrial air conditioning unit to be heard as well as street lights into our room. We were there for 1 night stop over in front of a long journey and had very little sleep.
- Helen (8/5): - The hotel was close to most things n only 20 minutes away from the beach
- PB (6/5): Bed comfortable but rest of place is old - Place is old, needs major overhaul, running tap could not turn off,
slide door difficult to move,
Bed was very comfortable but the rest very ordinary
- Alan (8/5): Great place to stay. - I found it clean ,friendly the food was great. I would stay again.gre
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not a great experience. - While the people are lovely, the room is very run down - no working lights in the bathroom, lots of broken tiles, extremely loud and very old air con. The noise from the cold room from the bottle shop below kept us awake all night. I very nearly asked for my money back.
- bernardd (2/5): - We try to find car parking - none
We had paid for the accomodation prior based on the photo
We arrived ,asked to see the rooms and left and got accomodation else where.
Be great to get our money back
- Jody (10/5): Awesome stay - Checked in by friendly staff whom showed us around and eventually our room which was tidy and spacious. Nice view of the hills close by. Surprisingly quiet being in the middle of town and just off main street.
- Pam (8/5): Average - It needs a good revamp for $95.00 a night
Staff very helpful and friendly
Food good value
- jack (6/5): Very small room needs up dating - Needs up dating on the rooms nice staff good food
- Alan (10/5): - the room was plain but comfortable. The restaurant served the best squid I have ever tasted.WeI will be back
- dot87 (4/5): Won't be going back there - Staff member was friendly,!The air con wasn't working at all in our room and when we left the next day the code given to us to get through locked doors weren't working
- simmo (8/5): Great vibes great friendly staff close to everythi - Work related accommodation very helpful staff clean room
- Brett (6/5): Extraordinarily Ordinary - Very ordinary condition of rooms and also attitude of on shift management. Two stars at best.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Suitable - Well located. Slight difficulty booking in due to no photo id. Only had interim licence with me.
- hard yakkers (4/5): accommodation - rooms were poor condition, meals were small but great, staff friendly
reasonable rates, (short stay only)
- Eddie (4/5): Centrally located in Nambour, Queensland - First room offered was No.8, hot from western afternoon sun. Refrigerator and TV did not work. Changed room to No.11, the air-conditioner was not cooling but after resetting it started to cool. None of the bedlamps worked. No wifi available in the accommodation but was available in the lounge of the hotel. Very basic facilities in the rooms.
- Sue (4/5): Not so cheap and nasty accommodation. - Would suggest anyone looking for accommodation in Nambour to spend the extra $20 a night and get modern conveniences. One light didn't work at all. Ants all over the place. No internet. Food was only so so. Air-conditioning on the floor with bed blocking it. Shower rose needed replacing. Generally the accommodation is not in good repair.
- Mathew (4/5): Hotel in urgent need of deep clean - Upon arriving there was a massive dead cockroach under the desk. The bathroom is in desperate need of a deep clean, bleach the toilet and remove mould from skylight above shower.
The hotel offered limited housekeeping. This was so limited it was non existent - several times we saw the housekeeper during our stay (not xmas or boxing day) and not even offer us clean towels.
The room with two beds are configured poorly. The single bed is along the wall where the airconditioner is, near the bottom of the wall near the floor. this greatly reduced the effectiveness of the airconditioner which you need during the summer months.
Under the lip of the bedside table on both sides was used chewing gum. The wall picture was not mounted but resting on the bedside table.
- Alfredo (6/5): affordable comfort - I had a comfortable stay for the price. will go back here if again if I need a transit through sunshine coast.
- John (2/5): No Communication - I notified the hotel on their website email that I was cancelling my stay two weeks prior to my stay.
they still charged me for a no show .
I again emailed them and requested a refund and they again ignored me and my request .
I even sent their acknowledgement of my original email.
I recommend not to go near this hotel.
- Algernon (6/5): - We needed a room in a hurry over the long weekend and this was the only room available in the Sunshine Coast area.
Usually wary about Hotel accomodation, as a lot tend to be noisy due to discos ,nite clubs etc. This was perfect,no noise and as the room was at the back away from the highway through Nambour we didn't hear any traffic noises.
- jacki (4/5): This hotel was nowhere near a beach - No milk for coffee
No blanket on the bed
Window hard to open no screen
Badlt stained sink in bathroom
Noisy air conditioner
Hot water tap wrongly marked in shower
Steak meal poorly cooked & sauce too runny
Chair broken in room
Had to park on the street
Very nice staff
Sunny room
- Kym (6/5): Budget Hotel - Not to bad if you just want a budget room. Parking is on the street, so a bit of a walk with your luggage to get to your room. This is a pub room, but for one night and for the price, a cheap get away.
