• Elise (9/5): - Beautiful spot! Beautiful little space. I would have loved a quilt cover on the doona. There was just a sheet and then the naked doona, i kept having to adjust the sheet so i didnt sleep with the naked doona.
• Eva (9/5): Lovely bed and breakfast near town - Location is great, Kimberley and George are fabulous hosts. The breakfasts also were good and the hot breakfast was also included. They make a great cappuccino coffee, also included. Plus, its a lovely historical house.I would stay there again. Unfortunately our room seemed to be hot, maybe because it was upstairs. We had to turn the air con to cool it down. Other than that, the room was clean and very quaint.

• Annette (8/5): Eine durchaus empfehlenswerte Unterkunft. - Die Lage war super. In 10- 15 Minuten ist man zu Fuß in der Stadt. Die Matratzen haben unserem Rücken nicht so besonders gut gefallen.

• Stefan (8/5): Zentrale Lage und viel Platz - Das Zimmer war ein normales Motel-Zimmer, also zweckmäßig ausgestattet, groß und relativ dunkel. Das ist nicht so schlimm, da man sich tagsüber wenig dort aufhält. Super ist die zentrale Lage in der Nähe der Artgalerie und beim Botanischen Garten und dass man dort auch sein Auto parken kann. Das Badezimmer ist sehr groß und in der Dusche viel Platz. Der Geruch (eher Gestank) im Hof.

Ruim genoeg allemaal en een kleine patio/zitje. Rustige omgeving en op loopafstand van centrum Christchurch. Hop on - hop off tram in de straat, ook makkelijk.

Very spacious and comfortable Parking was a bit limited - not quite enough spaces if all guests have cars. We had to park in the street one night and get out and pay parking fees at 9am.

• Johannes (8/5): Een mooi afscheid van de stad waar ik eerder heb gewoond. De stad is enorm veel veranderd na de aardbevingen van 15 jaar - Mooie kamer, prima bed en badkamer. Centrale ligging in de stad, minder dan 10 minuten lopen naar het centrum. De ontbijt kamer is nogal klein voor het aantal tafels, werd een beetje claustrofobisch. Het ontbijt was overigens prima, al hangt er een prijslijst terwijl het inclusief was.

• Stefanie (6/5): Fantastic location with parking but property is somewhat run down - The motel is in an excellent location with nearly all the activities in the city within walking distance. The hop on tram stop is right outside which was nice. It was also quiet since the room was tucked away off the street. The kitchen was stocked well enough. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable too. The smell of the room was pretty bad. When we arrived, the windows and door were open but that did not help alleviate the smell in the room, which seemed most like dog urine. The other issue was because the windows and door had been left open, we ended up having to kill a few mosquitoes. The faucets in the kitchen and bathroom were loose and difficult to use. The plates in the cabinet were dirty. There was an overall feeling of the property being run down. I was surprised to find such conditions given the positive reviews.
• June (8/5): Would recommend this for a stay in central Christchurch - Even though it was in a great location in Central Christchurch, there was little outside noise in the room. Bed was large but not the most comfortable.

Parking in central Christchurch is an expensive pain, so after a lot of driving (touring NZ) it was nice to park inside the B&B gates and have a short walk (10-15 minutes) to shopping and restaurants. Location was only some 3-4 blocks from central Park, with botanical gardens, punting on river etc. No criticisms

• Ali NZ (10/5): Always a great time in Christchurch and it helps having a good base while there. - We have stayed here 6 times for Electric Avenue and once while travelling and the same people have been there for every visit. The hosts are fabulous, very friendly and have been more than accommodating with our large car that doesn't generally fit into the parks. So handy to Hagley Park which is a 10 min stroll or to the Remembrance Bridge, Riverside market and an awesome selection of bars and eateries. The rooms are clean, tidy and warm with upstairs having their own balconies to sit and enjoy a wine or the courtyard below where the downstairs rooms open out to. The main house is also available with some lovely rooms. Optional continental or cooked breakfast is available for a fantastic price as well. We highly recommend The Grange and will definitely be staying there again.

• Sharples (9/5): Great value, close to town, and quiet at night. - We were in Rm 10, an Executive studio on ground floor in motel units at rear of property, one in from the end. We loved the quietness of the location, the huge shower area, the location of the motel. Our room opened out onto a shared patio area. This was great for sun but if privacy is your thing maybe go for one of the upper units (smaller, but have a balcony that is yours alone). 2-hob cooker plus fridge and tiny microwave in room. Very helpful owners. Working out whether one was booking ground floor or first floor unit in the motel units wasn't easy. We ended up ground floor, but would have liked option of being first floor, or knowing if unit was one of the 4 in the middle or 4 on the ends. The parking got a little busy later in the day, so arrive early if with a car.

Vers fruit bij het ontbijt. De vloerbedekking in de kamer was goed gezogen, maar oogt zou een dieptereiniging kunnen gebruiken.
