Guest Reviews
- Catew4321 (10/5): Large hen party group - Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were so accomadating about a large group. 25 people stayed and there was no issues with check in, very friendly staff. They went out of their way to be helpful with baggage and check in. Prior to our stay communication from reception and management was excellent. Had afternoon tea in the old house, wonderful and relaxed. Would stay again and the apartments were perfect. Clean with all the facilities of an apartment with the luxury of a hotel. Lovely view over the lake. Will happily come back in the future as everything was within walking distance. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
- TarmacTadpole (8/5): Overnight stay - Good hotel with hotel with very helpful staff. If there was an item to flag it's the heat in the bedroom at time. I didn't see a way to regulate it in the room so don't forget the open the bedroom window if required.
- uemcnulty (10/5): Birthday celebration - Stayed at hotel for one night.,The service was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and cooperative. Our meal in the restaurant was also excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel which is in the centre of the town
- Navigator44627951504 (8/5): Laois - Lovely hotel. Spacious bedroom very comfortable and warm. Very good food staff very friendly and helpful. Will be back.
- Aoife024 (10/5): Great apt - Lovely clean apartments and delicious breakfast, highly recommend! It’s in the centre of town and beside the park, ideal for families
- gracedO5667RA (8/5): Nice location - We enjoyed our stay breakfast was very nice and good location . Just an observation, we found the reception area very uninviting and weren’t inclined to sit there. We felt it lacked some atmosphere and ambience 🤔💐
- I2276LTmarkf (10/5): Local hotel Annebrook House Mullingar. - From start to finish this hotel didn’t fail to deliver on all aspects for me.
I will definitely stay here again when I’m in the area in business or pleasure.
- vontrapp66 (10/5): Annebrook is Amazing - We stayed last night Annebrook is in a brilliant location. The room was so spacious and we had a bath! I love baths and in many modern hotels only showers are available. Our room was so quiet. Central location and so incredibly peaceful. I slept like a baby on a very comfortable bed. Sheets and pillows were glowing white, really spotlessly clean. The staff are so friendly. Food looks gorgeous but we went out to Oscar's for dinner. I loved Mullingar and a really lovely hotel. Well done Annebrook! We are on our way to Belmullet otherwise we would have stayed another night.
- 760seamusp (10/5): Gem of.place In Mullingar, will stay again for sure - 10/10, nothing is too much trouble, if you do stay, go for evening roast dinner, I was in area, on business and needed somewhere to stay in middle of Ireland, what a find,
- dmcelh926519 (10/5): Very well appointed apartment in a great hotel. - I stayed in the two bedroom apartment. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff on the whole friendly and helpful.
- Global32581926349 (2/5): Unacceptable Disturbance During an Already Difficult Stay - Absolutely unacceptable experience. We were staying due to attending a funeral and experienced horrific, extremely loud shouting around half midnight on New Year’s Eve, making it impossible to rest or sleep. While the apartment itself was lovely, that counts for very little when you’re subjected to such disturbance at an already difficult time. What made it worse was the hotel’s response - they were unwilling to issue a full refund and only eventually offered 50% back. This shows very poor standards and a complete lack of understanding or compassion. Extremely disappointing and would not recommend.
- lauragibbons2026 (10/5): Excellent as usual - This was our second New Years eve to stay, we stayed for two nights a big group of us adults and kids, the apartments are perfect for us and the staff couldn't have been more helpful
Special shout out to Shane and James in the bar (thanks for looking after us)
We cant wait to book in again for next year
- 822jeank (4/5): Disappointed - The staff were polite and friendly. However, the food was not as nice as I had hoped for. The vegetables looked like leftovers from the day before.
- ltaylo375011 (8/5): Great stay! - Lovely staff, comfy bed, great breakfast. Overall great value. Right in town centre. Only request would be to have a fridge in the room and water
- leinstereire (10/5): As usual, an excellent stay - Never lets us down, everything is top notch. Hotel is spotless, food and staff are excellent. Location is so central and everything is within walking distance. The apartments are comfy and spacious.
- stevebG4410WN (10/5): Amazing stay - I can't recommend this hotel enough, it was one of the best breaks I have had in a long time, the rooms are big and spotless, the staff are always happy and very helpful, we ate in the bar on two nights and the food was excellent as was all the waiting staff, the location is great only a short walk to the all bars and restaurants, we will be going back as it is great value and comfortable
- catd12 (10/5): Great hotel and rooms. - Stayed for a family wedding. Very welcoming staff and quick check-in. Room was big with a double and single bed. Tea and coffee making facilities. Really lovely hotel.
- Climber799776 (10/5): Mulingar Diamond. - This is a hidden gem of a hotel , set back off the main street, with free parking. We stayed in the apartments and and the view from the Balcony with the sound of the stream flowing pass was really something 👌.
- greeneire (10/5): I love staying at Annebrook House Hotel! - Spectacular hospitality! Fantastic location; love it is next door to the town park and the bus stop is practically on it's doorstep. All manner of shops are less than a block away.
- gerardkearney2025 (10/5): One-night Stay - The hotel is in an excellent location near the town centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful, accommodation was of a high standard and the bar menu food offering was varied and well priced.
- bronnie82 (10/5): Comfortable and in a central location - The hotel bar and restaurant are quite busy and had plenty on for guests. The rooms were comfortable and we were not disturbed by noise. There was a slight menu change when we arrived from the one given to our group on booking, but the waiter was very accommodating. There was a mix-up with the waitress handling the desserts, but it didn't put a dampener on the evening
- benmI2753EX (6/5): Crip-off Ireland - Don't be fooled by the friendly service, thoughtfully curated boutique decor, or silky smooth pints of stout beer. All of this is a ruse designed to soothe you into dropping your guard so they can charge you 6 euro for a bowl of crisps.
Shame.
- 368oonaghm (6/5): Good location & good price for a quick overnight stay - The hotel is 3* quality, the room was concrete enough and I slept well. Facilities are basic. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was very ordinary.
- 942margo (10/5): Recommend. - First time to stay in Mullingar and Annebrrok House Hotel. Will definitely be back. Enjoyed carvery lunch and evening meal in Berties Bar. Plenty of choices, great portions , good value and very tasty. Breakfast was just as good. Car parking free for guests .The staff were extremely pleasant and attentive. Location excellent, walking distance to shops and Main Street.
- noeloneill3 (10/5): 30th anniversary - We booked the hotel for our anniversary when we arrived we got upgraded to the bridal sweet also had a meal booked and breakfast staff lovely food excellent room class double jacuzzi bath perfect stay will definitely stay again
- Lisa (10/5): - Very bike friendly!
- Juergen (10/5): - Very nice hotel. There is construction work right beside the hotel, which might create some noise (we stayed over the weekend). Staff is friendly, rooms are good and clean, bar and restaurant in the hotel add to convenience.
- celticsf2025 (10/5): Love this hotel! - Great location. Fair price. Lovely staff. Easy free parking. Exceptional breakfast. What’s not to love? I have stayed here a few times in business trips and will certainly return.
- Sc0ttie30 (10/5): great spot to stay - got upgraded room it was fab room amazing had an ensuite with jacuzzi bath beds super comfy . food in bar was great . breakfast was the best we had in a long time was great staff a++
- William (8/5): - Property appears to be more of a convention centre, efficient but not special.
- cricha550117 (10/5): Fantastic hotel - This hotel is absolutely brilliant from the quality of the staff to the amazing quality of the apartment and general area . Would stay again
- takhta882459 (10/5): The best experienced in Mullingar. - We came as a family of 5 adults to visit extended family. The hotel was very convenient and central to our movements and that was great.
- Dermot (8/5): Lovely stay in Mullingar - A two night stay. Room wa very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - great choice and attentive service. The only downside was that our room backed on to a car park. Early morning deliveries was understandable, but unfortunately we were awoken at about 2:15am with conversation below us and this continued until about 3:30am. Very difficult to have a good sleep when the trucks arrive at 7am. First night was very peaceful.
- cody802 (10/5): Birthday treat - Lovely hotel, great location, staff very good, food and drink very reasonably priced, rooms clean and tidy, we had lovely weather so could sit outside on the terrace, we'll definitely stay in this hotel again
- john4burns (10/5): Family Get Together - Eleven of us stayed in Annebrook House Hotel. We were delighted with everything. Our family meal on the Friday night was wonderful. Firstly, Pat, the restaurant manager made sure we were happy with everything before the meal. The food was excellent. Three of us are vegetarain and we were well catered for. The private room in the restaurant meant we could converse and make a few private speeches at the end. Pat continued to visit the room and help to make the occaasion spcial. The Chef made my favourite dessert: sherry trifle.
- 666luce (8/5): Excellent Service - A arrival, I was welcomed by very friendly personnel. Rooms are OK, very good location. Breakfast is always very good. Breakfast as of 7 is always good for Business travel.
- Tom (10/5): Location, Location, Location - The Annebrook House Hotel is situated in the center of Mullingar Town which means that shops, pubs and restaurants are all within a couple of minutes walk.
The staff were excellent - kind and helpful. My room had a balcony which was a huge bonus given that the outside temperature was in the mid 20's. The room itself was very comfortable. I slept with the balcony door open as there is no a/c in the room. The only issue I had (which to be fair was a minor one) was that as I had the balcony door open all night I couldn't close the curtains so had the balcony light on all night.
Breakfast was excellent.
Overall I was very impressed with the Annebrook House Hotel and will stay there on my next visit to Mullingar.
- kayleighr884 (6/5): Usually a good stay - Lovely hotel, reception and food service staff lovely, however I was not happy that the cleaning staff were hoovering the room beside us at 9:30 in the morning and standing outside our room on a phone call, being loud and chatting for about 30mins,given the price of the hotel stay it was not exceptable
- Michael (10/5): Very welcoming - From the time we arrived to the time we left was made very welcome by all the staff.
- TomO2182 (10/5): Location, Location, Location - The location of this hotel is excellent - in the centre of Mullingar with plenty of parking. I really enjoyed my visit to the Annebrook House Hotel. I had a one night stay and was very happy with the property. I was very lucky to have a balcony which was much appreciaed as the weather was unusually very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. I would happily stay here again if I find myself in Mullingar.
- 1jdplumb (10/5): Pit Stop - Service & facilities 100%
Great location with centre of town & easy to exit to main roads.
Parking very good
Food was superb
- Adventure662289 (10/5): Amazing hotel - I have stayed in this hotel a few times I actually got married in it 8 years ago. So haven't been back to stay for a while, but are stay overall was 10/10 from arrival to our apartment which was amazing. The food is delicious and breakfast was even better. All the staff couldn't help us enough. I enjoyed it that mush before I left I booked to come back over for our anniversary in November and we can't wait
- croger532286 (8/5): Brilliant location lovely staff - we have stayed hear a number of times always go back.
Great location breakfast is fab.
Lovely staff we will be back
- catherine979 (10/5): Excellent stay - Have stayed at this hotel quite a few times over the years and each time was very heppy with our experience. Lovely staff, comfortable rooms, great breakfast, and if wanted a lovely carvery lunch served every day. Also location right in town.
- alann501 (10/5): - Excellent establishment just off the main street. We stayed in an end double ensuit apartment. It was immaculately clean. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were 2nd to none. The breakfast was excellent with fantastic options and plenty to choose from! Staff were also extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend apartment if staying with a family for a few nights.
- Eileen (10/5): - The property eas great staff were great breakfast was amazing definitely stay again
- 425dervaly (10/5): Apartments - Excellent location, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. No delays with breakfast, which was very tasty.
- 845bridgetb (10/5): Fantastic Stay - Beautiful hotel in the heart of Mullingar, fantastic location for everything! We attended the Greyhound Races which was only an 8 minute walk from the hotel! Staff were amazing, we had requested an early check in but wasn’t sure if it would be available, but the lady on reception managed to get it for us which was a great help! Breakfast was fantastic, everything on offer, very quick service to getting you a table and tea and toast immediately! Rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, bed was so comfortable, just couldn’t fault anything!
- 231grainnem (10/5): Lovely relaxing one night stay - Stayed here last Saturday night for one night. Lady on reception was so friendly. When we were checking in, she said that we had booked an apartment and I said yes, that was all that was left when I was booking (didn't bother us). She said that rooms had become available due to cancellations and we could have one if we wanted so we changed to a room. Room was lovely, spotlessly clean. Only gripe was that there was no air-con (very warm and muggy weekend) but when I asked for a fan, one was sent up to the room. Very much appreciated. We ate in the bar that evening, food was lovely, plenty of choice. Breakfast the next morning was lovely. We will be back. The lady on reception is a great asset to this hotel!
- Robert (10/5): - Beautiful picket in the mittle of cute town
- 3annes3 (4/5): Disappointing: Beautiful old hotel... not all rooms in the buildings pictured - All the pictures online show an old, charming hotel. When we arrived and checked in, we were told our room/suite was in a former apartment building next door that the hotel now owns. Very disappointing. The room felt like we were in someone's bare apartment with no character or charm. On the bright side, it was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
- kevino153 (10/5): Stop-Over after visiting Dublin Zoo - We visited Dublin Zoo & stayed at the hotel overnight to break-up the journey home. We have three small children and the staff could not have done more to accommodate us. The service at breakfast exceeded expectations and the staff could not have been nicer over the duration of our stay. Would definitely revisit!
- celtcj42 (10/5): family trip - Annebrook house was well worth the stay. Clean hotel and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again when in town
- janewilton (8/5): Visiting family in Mullingar - Great location and staff extremely friendly. Great value for money but having stayed there a few times before was disappointed on this occasion with the breakfast on offer. Used to be a better selection with table service.
- Berger181 (10/5): Excellent venue and bass for us competing at amulingar equestrian centre - We always stay at the Annebrook. It is part of our whole weekend experience. We stay over thev2nd weekend of June every year for the annual Riding Club Festival and have already booked for next year
- shanehoare (10/5): Excellent value - Great little gem in the centre of Mullingar, room very comfortable and modern with everything and more than you need including a balcony! Very tasty breakfast in comfortable surroundings.
- Michael (10/5): - We had a good, albeit short, visit at Annebrook House. We were only there one night. The room was very comfortable and our view of the church was unlike any on the ground!! The restaurant was ok, but it wasn't very welcoming. We felt they were pushing us out the door. LOL
- kevinC2389SJ (10/5): Kevin - Great stay at the hotel, was there to celebrate my wife's birthday. The service from the staff was brilliant
- annemI7301JX (10/5): Great overnight stay - We both enjoyed a lovely overnight stay. We received a lovely welcome and all staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
- ahoski269821 (10/5): One of the very best - Having stayed in hotels for many years and in many places, the Annebrook House Hotel is right up at the top in so many ways. This is in no small part due to the people working there.
Without exception - from check in to checking out - everyone I encountered wanted to help.
Special shout out to Leanne on Reception, Emily serving in the breakfast room - excellent breakfast too - and Pat Byrne their manager. The people here are exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. A great team. Well done & thank you.
Hotel is comfortable, very clean and my room was excellent; quiet and with a great bed.
Well located too with easy access.
I will be back again.
People are quick to complain but I can honestly say, nothing at all to complain about here.
- raychelco (10/5): Family weekend - Perfect family weekend. Great hotel in the centre of Mullingar town but still quiet and relaxing. Right next to beautiful park with playground and swimming pool. Apartments are spacious and well equipped. Restaurant and bar are top class. Lovely breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful
- rwiggins064 (10/5): Outstanding - The best hotel we have stayed in, in Ireland. To see the owner Bertie hands on dealing with issues that may occur coupled with his special connection with his team is second to none.
- laurasF9391VD (6/5): Satisfactory - Clean apartments, but no hot water in the mornings! We stayed 3 nights and we only got a hot shower the morning we were leaving. There was no hot water in the mornings, resulting in freezing showers. The bar was comfortable and nice to sit in, however service was slow to get drinks, there seemed to be only one bar staff and one waiting staff on shift.
- kevinsV9934BG (10/5): What no peanuts - Fantastic hotel, probably one of the best included breakfast of any stay. The room was clean and warm, the reception welcome as helpful and welcoming. The only let down was arriving at the bar a fantastic pint of Guinness waiting but no peanuts sadly never mind.. all round 10/10…❤️👌
- paddy2025 (10/5): Excellent staff - Everything about this hotel is excellent, the staff deserve a special mention as they were friendly and helpful
- TassieAusssie (4/5): Disappointing - From previous reviews I was expecting much better, our apartment was in a very tired condition. A cracked toilet seat is unexceptable and unhygienic, cracked tiles in the same bathroom. The bathroom fan was extremely loud as was the boiler room when anyone turned water on. These issues were existing before our stay and a property of this perceived quality should have addressed them before placing guests in this room.
On a bright note the breakfast staff were very nice and the offerings good.
- I798KDbenjaming (8/5): Two Nights in Mullingar - I stayed two nights at this lovely hotel in the heart of Mullingar. An extremely convenient location close to where I was working and perfect for a stroll in the park or into the town itself.
When I return to Mullingar I hope there is a room available at this hotel.
- Tina (10/5): - Excellent stay fantastic staff and food
- Caroline (10/5): Will stay there again - Beautiful hotel , bedroom was nearly too warm at times . Amazing fresh breakfast and dinner was delicious. Really central lovely walk up the town .
- grainnecliff2023 (10/5): An incredible and enjoyable stay - Had an absolutely amazing time with friends on an early Christmas night out! The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating once we arrived! The rooms were absolutely amazing, really spacious and extremely comfortable. The service was second to none, with bar staff making up delicious cocktails of our choice! Breakfast the next morning was delicious with an excellent variety, catering for all our needs. The staff were so welcoming and looked after us all so well. I would highly recommend this hotel and will most certainly be staying there again.
- Barbara (10/5): - The staff were excellent. Very polite and friendly.
- Millie (8/5): Great location - Enjoyed our stay, all positive.
- Isabelle (8/5): - Great breakfast. Hotel is older but well taken care of. Walk direct into town.
- Brenda (10/5): - Great hotel & very central. Staff are pleasant & the breakfast was good .
- John (10/5): - All good
- chloelou13 (8/5): . - Bed wasn’t too comfortable to be honest I ended up sleeping in the single bed in our room. Service and staff in the bar is brilliant they can’t do enough for you, lunch in the bar aswell was lovely from the bar food menu we didn’t experience the carvery.
- Eileen5155 (10/5): Fantastic managers and staff 🍀 - Our pipeband (over 50 in total), stayed in the Annebrook on the 16th/17th March. The Managers and staff could not have before accommodating. A special mention for Pat who went above and beyond for our group. This was our second staying in the hotel and I'm sure it won't be the last!
- Dominic (10/5): Regular guest - Its a great hotel ,inan excellent location and the staff are all very welcoming
.I woukd say though that the hotel is showing a lot of wear and tear amd the decor is very dated and a renovation would really bring it t another level.
- cahill2025 (10/5): An amazing hotel with a great team of staff! - I stay here regularly and always receive a friendly welcome and am always made feel comfortable at all times. Love this place!
- Journey676971 (8/5): Good location, free car parking nice rooms. - Good location in centre of Mullingar. Rooms are nice and reasonable size. Social Dancing on Sunday nights is very good. Evening Dining is only available in bar area during week but food was quite good. Breakfast is buffet style and like most hotels with this type of breakfast the quality is not good, food sitting tooong in containers. Overall enjoyed out stay.
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Central to everything lovely rooms
Breakfast is excellent and food in the bar is very good
- louiselZ2996OE (6/5): Abrupt and unwelcoming receptionist tarnished experience - Stayed here recently on business. The staff and the food in the bar was really great. The streak outside the hotel is so calming after a long day however that is where the positives end. I found the receptionist at check in abrupt and unfriendly and when you are away from home, travelling with work, it makes such a difference to see a welcoming smile when staying in a hotel, and this was missing. Limited conversation, even though I tried to engage in conversation. I had asked for a quiet room and to my disappointment, my room was directly over the kitchen fan. It was so loud so I went to reception to ask what time it would be turned off, after an abrupt response from same receptionist so said, do you just want to move rooms. Again, I was trying to be polite and not make a big deal but felt very uncomfortable from her body language and tone and honestly, felt very low the rest of the evening and just wanted to be at home. I was moved to another room and this was fine...the bed was uncomfortable and decor a bit dated but was much quieter. Again at breakfast I was met with an abrupt welcome from the young man. Breakfast was OK, not a great selection for someone looking for healthy options. From these interactions I was happy to get in my car and get to work early. I understand working in hospitality and dealing with public can be challenging but when a customer is genuinely trying to be nice, there is no excuse for making someone feel like an inconvenience.
- Declan (8/5): - Very nice hotel and staff were very pleasant and helpful
- Debi (10/5): - The property was conveniently located within walking distance of lots of shopping and restaurants in the city of Mullingar. The staff was extremely warm and helpful. I would highly recommend this as your stay, next time traveling to Mullingar. The food in the bar/pub was absolutely delicious and I enjoyed listening to the live music later in the evening.
- John (10/5): - All good
- shane (10/5): - Great place for family
- graham (10/5): One night stay - First time in this hotel, we were in room 307 a family room. It overlooked the back of the main street. The room was a good size and had a lot of storage if required. The room was very clean. I had a few drinks in the bar of the hotel, it was €6 euro for a pint of guinness. The breakfast was ok we had a fry up, and some cereal. The hotel is in the centre of the town and offers free parking.
- Mary (10/5): - The hotel from the reception to cleaners dining staff and bar staff was just lovely nothing was to much trouble and will most definitely go there again if visiting mullingar first rate special mention to Freya and Eddie
- Sharon (10/5): - The location is excellent as is the available parking.
- Arlene (10/5): - Amazing location & wonderful experience throughout I will definitely be a returning customer.
- lIAM (10/5): Totally satisfied - Excellent service and food selection.
- Megan (4/5): - Check in was great. There was a small issue with the window but someone came up bs helped us close it quickly. We went to dinner and when we came back, it was very noisy. People were loud below us and outside our room until after midnight. Then at about 5 am someone started moving beer kegs outside and making a lot of noise. It was pretty warm in our room but we kept the window shut because it was so loud. When we were asked how everything was, we mentioned how loud it was and the front desk said that there was a dance until 11:30 last night. We did say that it went on much later than that, she was not receptive to that feedback. She did say she would tell someone about the noise from the morning. The room was nice. I would make sure to ask about events going on at the hotel when you check in.
- PATRICK (10/5): - It really ticked all the boxes for our 3 day stay. I must say that the breakfast was the freshest and best we have experienced in other hotels we have rated as very good.
We also enjoyed the bar menus on each of our three evenings in the Old Bar (part of the hotel provision).
- Janet (10/5): - Well situated hotel

- Theresa (10/5): An excellent hotel - We really enjoyed our two jights stay in this great hotel.
Check-in was easy. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful.
The hotel is well situated, within easy walking distance to the town and the Royal Canal walk.
The room was great. We'd asked for a twin room and we got a kingsize and a single bed!
Everything was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was very good.
We would certainly return.
