• ANIRUDDHA (9/5): I have stayed at this property four times and I have liked it every time. - Cooperation, courtesy and hospitality at the front desk and the Manipura restaurant. A little bit of hygienic lapses during serving the food.
• Abdul (9/5): Nice hotel but hidden tax on check out. - Service provided by the bell boys was really good, all questions were answered to satisfaction, the options available for breakfast buffet, hot water for the shower, the hotel was nice and quiet. The walls in the room could do with a lick of paint. The price on this site didn't reflect the tax that I had to pay on top. I was charged $62.65 instead of $46.80!
• Aline (9/5): Comfortable hotel with excellent location to visit Central and Old Dhaka - Excellent location (near a metro station and walking distance from Ramna Park/National Museum/Old Dhaka), which is comfortable as the traffic can be horrendous. Very comfortable bed, excellent breakfast (variety and quantity), excellent restaurant ; very friendly and helpful staff. Reliable transfer from the airport. Very nice in season : outside rooftop café. Room a bit cold at night in winter (tiles flooring), but it also means the floor is spotless very clean!

I took a motorbike taxi from the airport (outside the airport on far left) to Uttara Metrostation (200 taka), the metro all the way to Secretariat. 100 metres from metro exit you find the hotel. By metro I visited Liberation Museum and Portugese church so easy to avoid the trafficjams. Motortaxi to Sadarghat 200 taka, allow 45 minutes. Food is excellent! Mango lassi favourite drink. Price on higher end.

My only issue was the mattress is hard. Maybe that’s normal in Bangladesh, I like a semi soft mattress. I just used Doona as an extra layer. I would recommend staying here

Also, the restaurant staff were following us around and checking what we had eaten to charge us. We also had to change rooms two times as there was a very nasty smell from the toilet system. I would never stay there again due to the very bad customer service we received. The descriptions and the pictures are false and are not true reflections of the rooms. This is not a resort. It is merely a back road hotel. Very poor and very disappointed.

• Aniruddha (9/5): I had some expectations from this property and those were aptly fulfilled. - Hospitality, Cleanliness, Spa, Front Desk efficiency. They provided me a big double bed room for single occupancy. Thanks to them. Wash basin height is very low. Bed is too soft for comfort. Need a ceiling fan in the room such that the AC could be put off when not needed.

The breakfast is the best I had in Bangladesh, lot of variety. The single room was good sized and clean, and most importantly very quiet! There is also a nice rooftop to relax. The window was a bit flimsy and didn't close properly.
• Jessae97 (4/5): Staff friendly but rooms need improvement - Chose this hotel because I wanted to stay closer to the historical center of Dhaka for my first time in Bangladesh. The room was not great. It was dated, lots of damage to the wall and it smelled like cigarette smoke in the first room I stayed in. When they changed it, the room didn’t have too much of cigarette smell.. but there was still traces of it. The WiFi did not work well. Positives of this hotel is that the staff are very friendly especially in the restaurant. The breakfast was amazing out of all the hotels I stayed in Bangladesh. Overall, I would not return to this hotel next time I’m in Dhaka. For those seeking accommodations with international standards, I recommend the Dhanmodi area as well as Gulshan and Banani.

We paid £45+ for one nights stay which is expensive for Bangladesh so I am disappointed with the hotel overall. My parents have stayed on this hotel several times and enjoyed their stay. • Theodore (9/5): Very nice stay - A lovely hotel with nice staff and comfortable cozy rooms. They gave me a complimentary free breakfast even though it doesn't come with the booking. In general I don't like to bother hotel staff too much but I felt as though if I asked them for any help they absolutely would have helped me. The room looked exactly as advertised which was nice. There was hot water in the shower, complementary mineral water and fruit, and the room service was swift and affordable. The location is in the busiest part of Dhaka so expect some noise and traffic. It's also not the most affordable option in Dhaka. But I was glad to have stayed here nonetheless.
