Guest Reviews
- Lisa (8/5): - Great
- Arthur (10/5): - I have lived there for 20 years. Nothing has changed. It was a great experience.
- Linda (10/5): - A very nice stay with a beautiful view of the ski area from our deck on the third floor. We had a frig, stove top, dishes and microwave.
There is a nice table and chairs but no sitting areas. We brought the deck chairs and table into the room.
- Alissa (10/5): Loved it - Really enjoyed our time here wish we'd had longer.
- Tracey (10/5): - We were there 1 night but if it had been a longer stay we would have used the kitchen. Kitchen was great but it was light on tools , pots and things to make preparing food easy. No paper towels sponge to scrub dishes. A full complement of in shower products… maybe a fixed to the wall? Blankets provided for pullout sofa were great! But didn’t feel fresh. Overall we loved our stay
- Roy (10/5): - The room was great (5th floor) overlooking Willoughby!
- Michael (10/5): - It was a good stay
- Gary (10/5): - Great
- Marianne (10/5): - Beautiful room! Only suggestion is for better signage to parking lot.
- ROBIN (10/5): Very relaxing - Our stay was very enjoyable, it was nice to stay at a resort that is so well taken care of with a great staff.
- Lisa (4/5): - Some of your staff are not friendly- management may want to remind them attitude matters. We had to drop our bikes off in your bike storage area as there was no parking available. We explained to someone seeing us at our car who was in a Burke truck we were leaving (in a space that wasn’t obstructing anyone to drop them quickly) he was rude . Then we tried to drive to the lower lot to park your wedding planner was the next one to give us a hard time. Two school busses blocked us in the circle and the first one was blocking everyone and idled there inappropriately with us stuck there for at least 5 min - we waited and realized they did’nt care about anyone they were blocking. we asked your wedding planner if they could move the bus so we could go… but she gave us a horrible attitude and said that was “the best she could do” and we’d have to wait. A pretty unbelievable way to handle that when we saw three other reasonable options where that bus could move to so we could finally go park our car (far away .. not exactly a prize for all of this). Eventually 10 min later the bus moved - it didn’t seem like that whole thing was necessary. Who thinks it’s ok to block off an entire driveway and idle there? She was unprofessional and nasty - not an acceptable way to treat other paying guests when you are running events here. Not a
Even an apology for blocking us in. I have been to this area many times before and stayed here but prefer nicer people at the The Wildflower Inn.
- hessam (10/5): - The Hotel is in a very serene and beautiful area . great for hiking. very quiet with amazing view
- Aimee (10/5): - Beautiful property! We would definitely return for a visit.
- Geovanna (10/5): - Great experience, loved our view!
- Vania (10/5): Nice hotel with amazing views - This hotel is located in a beautiful area with amazing views. There is a restaurant and a pub in the hotel which makes it easy to dine. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and it is very clean. It offers a separate space for storage of mountain bikes in the summer.
- Reid (8/5): - Very nice hotel, friendly staff, beautiful grounds, but your parking situation is a joke. Having to walk through the woods around the building unacceptable in my opinion. Would stay here again in the future!
- Thomas (10/5): - The hotel is beautiful! I'm sure it's very busy during ski season, but I was there for work in June, so it was very quiet. The building is gorgeous, the bar was nice with a very friendly bartender, and the room was great.
- Donna (10/5): - Hotel was very nice. The hot tub could use some servicing. Jets were not working properly.
- clarice (10/5): - the hotel is great but most hotel rooms have a CONFORTABLE CHAIR, the view is wonderful and the family was here to have a service for my son as we were Vermonters years ago'
- Vicky (8/5): - Beautiful place! The views are incredible. Very clean. Staff is nice. However, there didn’t seem to be a lot going on. Couldn’t find breakfast or coffee in the hotel. Only one restaurant was open ( we thought there was 2)
Not much else for food/drink options in the nearby town either.
- Shannon (8/5): - We had a nice stay
- Matthew (10/5): - Great room, on the mt
- Kylie (8/5): - Facility itself is very clean, staff is welcoming and friendly.
One issue is the showers, they're only half a pane of glass and then an opening with no door it makes for a messy showering experience and a soaking wet floor.
Also the parking can be very frustrating. There is only about 30-4 main parking spots in front of the main building which can be inconvenient in the rain or when moving luggage around as you have
- Gretchen (10/5): - Fun
- Danielle (10/5): - Family friendly and the staff was incredible
- Charlotte (8/5): - Friendly, welcoming staff, comfortable well equipped room.
- Charlotte (8/5): - Lovely hotel but sadly there were no house keeping services in our 5 day stay.
- Don (10/5): - It was great!
- Malinda (10/5): - staff nice.
- Adam (10/5): - Beautiful place
- Kim (10/5): - Beautiful, spacious room. Loved the fireplace. Nice pub on site. Enjoyed everything.
- Jim (8/5): - Great room and property. Puzzled that there were a couple of items like a broken bathroom light and a bad patch job on one part of the drywall in a place this nice because otherwise this is a really nice resort.
- joaquim (10/5): - Everything was great!
- Judy (10/5): - Beautiful views and wonderful rooms
- Lesley (10/5): - The hotel was a peaceful retreat. We loved the convenient secure bike storage. The suite offered plenty of room and the shower had really good pressure. The balcony was nice to enjoy the view for morning coffee. Dining options are limited if you don’t have transportation. Wish the fireplace was operational in the summer for the rainy cold day. The kitchen was great for a quick snack but no hot pads.
- William (10/5): - Beautiful views and very clean and bright rooms overlooking the ski lifts and mountains
- David (10/5): - .
- Annette (10/5): - T
- Peter (6/5): - The hotel is in a beautiful area and is at the base of a ski slope. The rooms were large but oddly designed; the space could have been much more comfortable and welcoming. The only real problem was the lack of cleanliness. The floor and shower had not been cleaned… the shower drain was almost clogged with long black hair when we arrived. I’ll stay elsewhere in the future.
- Suzanne (10/5): A quiet stay in the office season - My stay was great. Off season for a ski mountain, so the place was wonderfully quiet. The mattress was comfy, the lights in the room have a neat feature to keep you from forgetting to turn them off, internet is good (supported a conference call), dinner in the pub was excellent as were the views!
- Ron (6/5): - Place needs a new management company
- Paul (10/5): - Beautiful property and friendly staff.
- Lonn (10/5): - The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Amd it is a beutiful property.
- Brian (10/5): - Awesome place!
- EVA (8/5): Great fall get away. - Staff were kind and helpful. In room kitchenette was nicely appointed. Badly needed a new mattress. The king bed had two twin mattresses that both sunk to the middle . Ate one evening at the pub. The food and service were great! Everything you need, but nothing more.
- Lusine (10/5): Fall vacation - Very beautiful place to stay
- Jeremy (10/5): - Very unique setting was wonderful.
They need to have at least another chair and a luggage rack in the room.
- Anurag Sadanand (10/5): - It was agreat ski resort
- Robert A (8/5): - Nice place
- Courtney (8/5): - When we had a concern with our first room, they helped easily give us a different room without hesitation. We also checked in early since we arrived early and our room was ready. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well as the on property bar/grille. We were thankful for the kitchen in our room too so we could prepare our own meals. Very good stay!
- Dana (8/5): - The rooms are newly finished and clean, but lacks a comfortable sitting chair. The kitchenette with half
height refrigerator, 2-burner electric stove and microwave were a nice feature. Was disappointed the management did not inform us at the time of the reservation that all the hallways to the rooms would be under construction/renovation. Given that the hotel was full at this time of the season, was surprised there was only one small snackbar/limited menu dining option at the property.
- Liam (10/5): - Showers are poorly designed. Impossible to not get water on the floor.
Excellent staff and gorgeous resort.
- Chantale (4/5): - Low staff, poor servuce
- Richard (10/5): - Great looking building and property. You can tell it's well cared for. Seth checked us in, he was great. Polite, informative, and easy to talk to. Great stay so far!
- Blaine (6/5): - The parking situation was really bad. Get back at night and have to park a long distance away in the dark. Bar/Restaurant hours are terrible. The rooms were fabulous and very clean.
- Gregory J (8/5): - Property location and views are fantastic.
- betty (10/5): - The property was under construction so it was difficult to rate the property. Also, I'm a light sleeper and trying to get to sleep was a little difficult as there was a droning generator sound all night. Otherwise the room was great.
- Charles (4/5): - I have been going to Burke Mountain since I was a kid The Mountain itself is fantastic Great family resort. however this was our first time staying at the Burke Mountain Hotel I could not be more disappointed with the staff They were extremely rude at check in and check out When asked for towels are help in the gift shop the staff could not be bothered helping I have never been to a hotel with such a terrible staff They were just down right mean
I stayed with 4 other families who also had similar experiences with the staff it really was unfortunate
- Jaime-Faye (10/5): Beautiful and friendly resort - Beautiful, newly built hotel with great views on both sides—-you either face the spectacular Willoughby gap or you face uphill and get to watch the lifts and skiers in action! My kids loved the arcade and the convenience of the on-site restaurant and mini market off the lobby. The employees were welcoming and friendly. Our unit was lovely and so comfortable to come back to after a very cold day of skiiing. The only issue we had was that the parking does fill up when the hotel is busy. 10/10 recommend and will use this as my first choice of lodging when visiting the area in the future.
- Candy (10/5): - Relaxing and comfortable. Fireplace in the room, a view of the mountain ski slopes and comfortable bed. We enjoyed our short stay.
- Thomas (10/5): - Awesome hotel on the side of a mountain, immaculate all around, food at the pub was great, staff friendly.
- Bruno (8/5): - All was great except for the following:
1- I needed the room for an extra 1.5 hours for a Zoom meeting, and the cost was much too high (it was November low season, no justification in my opinion)
2- Wish the rooms did not have carpeting.
- Svitlana (10/5): - Beautiful view of mountains
- Carol (10/5): - Everything was fine.
- Kary (10/5): - Beautiful setting and amenities.
- Roger (8/5): - A used towel was hanging behind the door. There was still coffee in the pot. Wake-up call was 15 minutes late.
- Gordon (10/5): - Views and outdoor activites best around! Friendly and accommodating staff! Comfortable sleep! Eco-friendly beyond anything we have stayed with!
- Sarah (4/5): - The property itself is beautiful, but there were too many odd and disappointing things about our stay to rate highly. We stayed here for a wedding that was close by. The parking is awful, our room didn’t have curtains so we were up with the sun and the staff was just OK.
- Shelagh (10/5): - Our stay was fantastic!!! The room was awesome! Amenities perfect! Can’t say anything bad about our stay.
- Matthew (10/5): - Many ice machines were out of order. Had to search a few floors before I found one that worked. Otherwise all else was great.
- Linda (10/5): - beautiful setting. very clean. spacious rooms.
- Alan (10/5): - Room was very nice, bed was super comfortable, didn’t get a chance to use the pool… pub was also very good! Would definitely recommend!
- Martin-C (8/5): - Great place. Great vibe. But surprisingly no EV chargers available at all. None. And we were 6-7 EVs this week-end fighting for 3 x 110V regular wall outlet. Everything else was great.
- Catherine (10/5): Amazing as always - Amazing place to stay ! Clean and friendly always a pleasure to be there.
- William (10/5): - stayed for mountain biking. Rooms are decently spacious and all seem to have stove and fridge.
- Suzanne (10/5): - Gorgeous views of Willoughby Gap from our balcony! Excellent dinner service at the pub.
- Ismael (10/5): - Prime spot!
- John D. (10/5): NE Kingdom stay - Great location for biking. Like the fact our room gave us the option for simple meal prep if we wanted to.
- Jessica (10/5): Love it! - This resort was great. Stayed in the off season, each room is like a studio apartment.
- Vania (10/5): Had a nice stay - We had a wonderful time and the hotel added to our positive experience. All staff was accommodating and polite. There was a wedding during our stay and this did not interfere at all with how quiet orderly everything was. I wish the hotel had an indoor pool. It was a bit cold to be swimming outside.
- Julie (10/5): - I love this place. This was my second stay here. The front desk staff were so nice and the bar/restaurant was great. Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Look forward to going back!
- David (8/5): Off-season refuge - We wanted to to stary in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont in early May and it was just about the perfect spot. We had a fabulous room with a great view of the slopes and were among a handful of guests. Dinner in the Tavern was surprisingly delicious although we had to venture down the mountain for breakfast.
- Heather (8/5): - Excellent staff. Room missing drinking glasses.
- Andrew (10/5): Hidden gem of the NEK - This place is a hidden gem! All my girlfriend and I kept remarking all week was, "how are there not more people here? This place is phenomenal!"
- Michael (4/5): - The property was nice and the room was nice except that there was no couch in the room even though there was plenty of room for one. You had to sit on kitchen style chairs or on the bed while you were in the room. This is not why this property gets a less than stellar rating. When we arrived at 8 pm, we were informed that the onsite restaurant and bar were closed. I came to this hotel to enjoy the amenities. The outdoor hot tub was open, but the jets were not working. Needless to say, we were not happy with the lack of services and asked the manager for our $15 Resort Fee refunded. She lied to us and said that Expedia collected the fee and that we would have to contact them to get it back when actually, the fee was charged to my credit card by the resort. The manager also blamed the lack of service and broken hot tub on Covid and the difficulty of getting employees to work. She should have refunded our $15 because of the hotel's lack of services. I informed her that I would be leaving a poor review. I hope that they get this corrected before the ski season starts. As far as I can tell, they don't care much about their fall customers. I won't be back.
- Peter (6/5): Dirty, some bad customer service - A few of the staff were rude, others were great, room was not that clean, spots and stains on the fabric couch. Outdoor hottub was dirty with debris all through the water, no improvement over the three days we were there. Place has so much potential, wish i could report differently.
- Terry (10/5): - This 'shoulder" season was the perfect time to visit Burke Mtn. Fewer mountain bikers, and no snow yet, made for a quiet retreat.
On the downside, the restaurant was not open, which limited our dining options at the hotel to the Pub. However, the food there was deliscious.
- James (10/5): - Very nice property. Lovely rooms, nice decks.
Needs more building side parking.
- Andrew (8/5): - Rooms lacked comfortable chairs. What chairs were there were kitchen type.
- Martin (8/5): Hidden gem - Beautiful location, we were able to take our dog and slow charge the car in the garage, hopefully they will get some level 2 chargers in the future. Restaurant was closed after 5 PM so we could not get dinner but the store had plenty of snacks.
- Joseph (2/5): - I did not like to pay a resort fee for amenities as identified by the front desk manager to be 1) electricity to power the refrigerator 2) pool and hot tub (hot tub jets were not working and 3) WIFI (note website states WIFI is free) and parking (I rode with friends, I had no vehicle). Also the room had no ice bucket and no chair except for a metal kitchen chair. I never knew you had to pay for an upgraded room to have a decent place to sit. There was also a green price tag stuck ($6.99) to the shower drain and the room had no washcloths. Will never return.
- Paul (8/5): Sept. 27-28, 2021 visit… - Arrival day weather had occasional light rain shower and spotty fog. Departure day morning was mostly cloudy with spotty fog.
Comfortable room; shower design is a bit impractical in terms of shower head height (would be challenging for some shorter statures), and the immobile glass half-wall allows a bit of splash outside onto floor.
The large spigot at the bathroom vessel sink makes it a bit difficult for a simple task of washing one’s face, without making a bit of extra splash mess; aesthetically pleasing but impractical.
Unpleasant view of pool and ski buildings/structures.
Clean and quiet room and hallways.
Interesting eco-friendly key cards; OK, once familiar with it. Glad for the recyclables trash can under kitchen sink.
The vending machine on my floor was empty; I don’t know status of the others.
Access/roadway conditions and signage were fine, for this time of year.
Customer service was friendly.
Overall, a good experience.
Thank you. PL
- George (10/5): - Beautiful setting. Great amenities, if a bit expensive. It was difficult to navigate on the second floor with the cross area cut off for wedding receptions.
- Donald (10/5): - Great views. Far from town. No EV chargers was disappointing for a business in an industry with vested interest in global warning. Shame on you Burke Mt.
- Christopher (6/5): - Was checked into the wrong type of room - asked for a king bed, got two twins. On top of that, the shower didn't drain. Yuck.
- Samantha (10/5): First Time at Burke Mountain - The hotel is up to date, clean and has amazing views all around. The hotel is also (very) pet friendly, the staff loved my dog and she got a lot of pets. There were a few weddings going on and I overheard that it was sold out - the hotel is so big and organized that we didn’t even feel any crowdiness. We ate at the View both nights, delicious, caprese sandwich is a MUST get. We didn’t use the pool, hot tub or arcade but did hit up the gift shop, which was equipped with a lot of good finds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- David (10/5): - Overall great place, location and value. Food in the pub was very good. Map showing how you can bike from hotel to bike park would be helpful.
- Stephanie (10/5): - Beautiful hotel and environment
- Pandora (10/5): Beautiful Hotel - The Hotel is beautiful. The parking lot was full so we had to park on lot that was a 5 minute walk. Gorgeous area with biking trails, ski slopes for winter, hiking trails.
- Sean (10/5): Great all-season base for the Northeast Kingdom - The hotel is very comfortable and has lots of amenities. Our room was spacious and the view was amazing and changed with the time of day and the weather. Parking was great - even when crowded its a short walk. Amazing on slope accommodation for ski season and on trail for mountain biking but also great for a more relaxed visit to the beautiful Northeast Kingdom anytime.
