Lisa (9/5): - Loved the care of the staff. The ladies who supplied the breakfast and cleaned the rooms are real gems. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Pindi, became part of the family and was as excited as my daughter as we hunted wedding dresses. On the last morning she presented my daughter with a beautiful plate of food which she had decorated with a special message. Thank you for the Ubuntu and care you ladies showed.

As much as they embody the Victorian era and provides a very great place for escaping the city noise and technology, an upgrade in the TVs provided wouldn't be the worst thing, especially for the younger generation

Tanya (6/5): Disappointing - Lovely outside pool area, very friendly manageress who checked me in- and lovely to arrive to a warm room in winter. Nice breakfast. I arrived late and the sign for D&D is very hard to see. When I got to the room I discovered that neither of the bedside lights worked, because they weren’t plugged in- and no 2 prong adapters to do so. So I called the mangeress who kindly brought an adapter. But when I moved the bedside tables to plug in- looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, very dusty and old sweet wrappers. The shower head works very badly- a tiny spray of water. The Tv remotes didn’t work- so was stuck on one channel- that I eventually switched off at the wall in order to go to sleep. The bed base is half covered in fabric, curtains not hooked on rail properly, I don’t know about other rooms- but this one was very poorly maintained.

Tsametse (2/5): Inhospitable Duke & Duchess - Quiet area next to beautiful restaurants. It's dirty! The filthy walls and bathrooms made wonder how it made it to Booking.com and by extension renders Booking.com unreliable and misleading.

Pinky (9/5): Nastalgic, modern and fabulously comfortable. - The location is superb. The premises are clean and easy to navigate. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are gorgeous and play on the 'overall theme'. We enjoyed the gorgeous look of it all, and the comfort too. We even had a warm evening out, startgazing. Really loved the breakfast too - its got such a versatile menu! What a stay! The gate motor got stuck once or twice, making it hard to close the main entryway. This was fixed as soon as we reported it on WhatsApp though, so it didn't matter in the long run.
