• Bilqees (10/5): A comfortable stay at a beautiful location - The space was clean, comfortable and had such an amazing atmosphere. You can really tell that a lot of care and attention goes into making guests feel welcome. The owner was also incredibly kind and accommodating throughout my stay, which made the experience even better. Communication was great and I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived. I genuinely wish I could have stayed longer! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone. Loved everything about this place!

• Trevor (10/5): Perfection in Boskloof Eco Estate - Everything about this property is first class -- the hosts, cleanliness, size, comfort, quality of finishing and furnishings. The bathroom was immaculate, and the shower pressure/temperature was exceptional. The couch and bed were supremely comfortable, and the kitchen (complete with all appliances, including washing machine) was very well laid out and functioned perfectly. There is literally nothing one could complain about. It exceeded our expectations on every level. Nothing.

• Deborah (10/5): Little piece of paradise - Nothing not to like. William was very attentive, the accommodation thoughtfully equipped and very comfortable. It was really great to be able to walk around and bird watch and enjoy the fynbos - it’s incredibly well situated and very peaceful.

The landscaping of the estate blends perfectly with the natural surroundings and this must be the best locational for one who loves nature but needs to be close to the business centre.

William send us a video explaining where to park our car and where to head inside that really made arriving so much easier. This place exceed all expectations. It is bigger than expected, has everything you need and more. Kitchen has all utilities for self catering. Coffee, tea and milk was ready on arrival and changed with room cleaning the next morning. Bed is comfortable with electric blanket that was very nice to have during the cold weather. Entire space is modern and elegant. Estate is safe. Beautiful and practical, I would stay here again. Not staying longer, will have to come back.

The accommodation exceeded all our expectations — everything was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and extremely comfortable. Our host William was outstanding: always reliable, responsive, and incredibly friendly. The security staff who granted us access to the gated community were consistently polite and professional, making us feel welcome and safe throughout our stay. Everything was simply first-class, and for that reason, I can only give the highest possible rating: a perfect 10 out of 10. We would definitely love to come back again!

Our room (upgraded to luxury apartment) was spacious, clean and the kitchen very well equipped for self catering purposes. Bed and linen was top notch. Thank you for true and not stingy hospitality, with extra drinking water and milk, a coffee filter machine, charcoal for the braai and books to read. 4 nights at Vrede was a treat! I had to work away during the day, whilst Vrede has a conveniently built-in office corner. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her stay while I was away.

• Manonyane (9/5): Vrede self catering is beautiful they could just improve on house keeping - The accommodation is situated in an estate that has beautiful views. There were flowers everywhere within the estate even proteas grew there, there was also a small pond or dam like structure that made the place extra beautiful when we took those morning walks or hikes. We could see the ocean from the house but also we enjoyed the hiking trails within the estate those were great for our morning workouts. We also didn’t struggle with anything if we needed anything for instance when we checked in we noticed that there was no oven but Craig the owner sent over someone with an airfryer to our rescue. Access to the estate was also not a hustle we just had a code that was generated for us and we only had to show my drivers license to the gate security on entry and exit. We felt safe as well being within an estate. The house keeping was not at the expected standard. From my observation the gentleman who welcomed us whom I thought was just the receptionist or general manager was the same guy who was cleaning the house and we didn’t find his house keeping to be his strong point. Where we here for seven days and he had not changed bedding or pillow cases once during the week so we had request for them to be changed on day 6 of our stay. On this particular day he was not at work because it was a Saturday so a lady was sent to do the house keeping and change our bedding, when we walked in on this particular day we were extremely satisfied with the cleanliness of our room and we could tell the difference from the two the lady did a good job.

Nestled within a peaceful ECO Estate, it perfectly combines tranquility, modern comfort, and top-tier security. The accommodation was spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotless, providing everything we needed for a relaxing retreat. The natural surroundings were stunning, offering a peaceful escape, yet it was conveniently located near local attractions and vineyards. What really stood out was the incredible value for money – we paid far more at other places during our trip and got much less. William, the manager, was fantastic, going above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay and offering great recommendations for the area. The check-in process was smooth and detailed, thanks to a thorough WhatsApp guide. If you’re looking for a hidden gem that offers peace, security, and a memorable stay in Somerset West, Vrede Self-Catering is the place to be. We can’t wait to return and highly recommend it. That we had to return home 😢

It was clean and everything worked. Safe to say we enjoyed everything it had to offer. The admin was also hassle free and everyone was helpful. There was nothing to dislike.

• Amadea (9/5): Comfortable and nothing short of beautiful - The location of the property is beautiful and serene. The overall look of the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. We didn’t feel we missed anything. The shower was great as well as the beds. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however, the exterior of the guest house feels a bit neglected. We appreciate its winter time and probably not ideal for renovations, but the wall paint is chipping off and the outside areas could be given a bit more attention. Nonetheless, this didn’t took away from our experience.
