• Elindi (10/5): Amazing sunrises and beach walks - It's on the beach, and you can watch sunrises over the ocean. The room is beautifully set up and very clean. The top unit has very steep stairs so be aware of this if you book and struggle with stairs. But otherwise no complaints.

• Kerry-Lee (10/5): - The Cabanas was homely and comfortable... It had all the necessary equipment needed and such a beautiful view... We had the privacy we needed as a couple and the host was warm and welcoming. Parking is safe and secure and we were so close to the beach and shops plus a beautiful private pool within the Cabanas. Will definitely be back.

The host was friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back It's a bit of a tight squeeze to get in and out of the driveway, especially with a bakkie. Better to use a car.

• Gary (9/5): Really good ! - We had an excellent stay at the Cabanas, just the relaxing break we needed. Very comfortable as well. Thnak-you to our host for accomodaing us. Few wifi issues, but nothing serious.
• R (4/5): Disappointing - The location At 6:30pm we used the braai facilities, the owner came out screaming and said I could leave because she wants no noise. I told her there's a better way to address me if we are to loud. Anys we decided to cancel the braai. It was a bad experience were spent more time out of the property because of the owners bad attitude. The property is for sale and rooms are not well maintained. Also there's no shop on the premises has stated on the website.

• Kunene (8/5): Great!!! - Beautiful place. Excellent location. I can’t even remember how many times we walked to the beach because it was so close. Betty was also a good host. Our stay was everything we had hoped for and more. Also very quiet and peaceful. Absolutely beautiful! Everything was great, the tiniest thing I didn’t like was that all the towels were navy. Good thing I had brought my own big towels. So if you’re fussy about how clean your towels are, like me,I suggest bringing your own.

• Charne (10/5): A beautiful tranquil please - This is such a beautiful sanctuary with amazing hosts Betty & Neil and including Panjoh the furbaby! It was an honour getting to know them all! A beautiful family! The beachfront Cabanas is an absolute peaceful sanctuary! Right opposite a beautiful beach, with spectacular views! I got too see whales, sharks and dolphins from the patio view! Beautiful sunsets and sunrises! Shopping is no problem if you use the app pick60, they deliver your groceries within an hour or 2! The location is also right behind the mall which is a short walk! The rooms are stunning & clean, when you're sitting on the veranda you get to meet Panjoh too who is so beautiful and and an absolute sweetheart like his parents! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! Everyone is so beautifully kind and friendly! There is not 1 fault you can pick out! The apartments are spacious and luxurious but what makes it special are the hosts and the care they put into it! I will deffo be returning at some point on my trips back to africa and as a whole i wish i stayed here longer! It was so peaceful and just chilled. There's a beautiful pool, and bbq(braai) area! So much peace and beauty! It woulsnt be the same without Betty and Neil, their care is top class! Its also a peaceful area and vibe, truly stunning i cannot articulate how amazing it was! I absolutely loved my stay here and cant thank Betty & Neil enough for their welcome and warmth 💙 You both have built an incredible sanctuary! If i lived in SA id come and stay there just for a rest and break! There's no way you can be bored even, with having the beach right across from you, it was lovely going and watching the sun rise and just having natures beauty all around you! I also got to see the sardine run, thanks to Betty telling me to go see it! What an experience it was that i will cherish but also meeting them, the best souls on earth! Beautiful souls with a beautiful tranquil place to unwind! Having to leave to fly back to the UK! I cried, i loved this place so much it brought me so much peace & joy i was genuine so emotional and sad to leave, i could happily live in the apartment and be around such beautiful souls! This was what i didn't like, having to leave!!

The pool area was nice on the warmer days It was Xmas time that we came but I cant justify 1250 p/n since the wifi didn't really reach our room, the DSTV is an old decoder (no catch up) the balcony is very narrow so when it rains, you can't sit on it - your only option is a small couch or a hard bed. The area was not all that great either. We certainly were not coming with Balito expectations, and I'm sure back in the day, this place was great. I personally would pay R700 off peak and maybe R900 peak. I can't speak for the other rooms but the smaller one (no 4) was just not all that comfortable so we left half way through our stay. It's unfortunate we chose that room, perhaps the other rooms are better?

Unlike most self catering accommodation, our host Betty was very organized and we had an iron & ironing board in our room. This goes for everything else that we needed from cutlery to utensils etc. Betty and her husband were both very welcoming and always willing to help. In a nutshell they're excellent hosts. Except from the WiFi being down for 2 days there's nothing else we didn't like
