Good breakfast with attentiin to detail.9 I hate to say it because it was a great stay but the mattress was soft although that is personal preference & the duvet was very heavy. A bath mat in the shower would help, that is meant as constructive criticism not a complaint

- Stephen (9/5): Special view. Warm welcome. - Awesome view of the sea from the room we had. Very comfy bed. Huge bathroom and proper bath, great after our long want. The host grabbed my big backpack on entry and carried it for me! Very friendly! Vegan milk very available, and interesting herbal teas. Slightly rough and ready but we loved that, cool room, but it was a cold and windy time outside. Impressive small but versatile local shop... It might have that thing you want . There were handwritten notes at the entrance in case we were early to sort us out ... But we weren't early so didn't read. But again, thoughtful and welcoming. Attentive breakfast, we were asked if we'd had all we needed rather than how the food was... Kind of checking on how we felt, which was homely! Good food. In town, plan ahead for evening meal if not in a car. When we went there was one pub running, which stopped serving food at an unpublished time . Good food in pub, though, and again, the sea impressively close!

They helped us plan our visits magnificently. They introduced us very deftly to Damien Hirst’s statue in Ifracombe, packhorse bridges, stunning hikes in the area and many other things.

Christopher was so accommodating and helpful - we really appreciated a lift up the road to our car (at the wedding venue) in the morning. The hotel is a beautiful beach house with stunning views across the coast. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning. We couldn't recommend Newberry Beach Lodge enough! Nothing

Giving us help and tips of where to go things to see. And tea coffee as much as you like. If I had to find something it was the bed is a bit squeaky. But very comfortable and good quality bedding.

We met Chris, our other host, who was most friendly, helpful and made the most delicious breakfasts which set you up for the day!We had a lovely sea view from our bedroom and saw a beautiful sunset on our first evening. Nothing !

The room was spacious like our own apartment with a hall and two separate bedrooms which was ideal for the kids. The breakfast was delicious and included a full English and continental. It was in an ideal location in the centre and near to Watermouth Castle. There was nothing to dislike.

Words won't be enough of the wonderful atmosphere as soon as you walk in! The most comfiest beds! (Even better than home). Our 7 & 8 year old were over the moon with everything! Especially the lovely dogs! Food was really nice! And the table was set out so perfectly! We would of stayed longer if we could! I have promised my children we will return! This beautiful stay included the most amazing location! We couldn't stay longer! :D

We were lucky enough to stay in the family suite which has 2 bedrooms & a bathroom - much nicer than all squeezing into one hotel room! Delicious & very generous breakfast. - Laws (9/5): - Friendly welcome from Chris. Lovely room with a Seaview. Ensuite with rolltop bath with shower gel and shampoo supplied. Comfortable mattress. Adjoining room has tea and coffee making facilities with milk in the fridge. Choice of Breakfast- we had a lovely Full English, toast, orange juice and coffee. Quirky, homely, quiet location. We stayed in room 4 at the top. Google maps directed us down a very narrow lane, coming from Woolacombe direction. Ignore instruction keep going there is a better way in.

- Vicsjbs (9/5): - Absolutely brilliant location, lovely owners and great food. The "library" with milk for tea & coffee was a great touch too. Loved the decor! Very relaxed and the family suite was brilliant for us and our little one - she especially loved the shell wallpaper in "her room" ❤️ Can't fault it! If I was being super picky I'd say it would have been handy to have a shower head in the bath, as it would make washing my hair easier, but that was a tiny thing!

Très bon petit déjeuner Excellent rapport qualité prix ! Nous recommandons vivement. Tout petit bémol dans la salle de bain: pas de pommeau de douche au niveau de la baignoire !

- Teres (10/5): Special, magical & the most loveliest hosts. - It was such a beautiful yet quirky property! The room was stunning with the most gorgeous views over the cove. The bay windows were exquisite. It was truly mesmerising. The room was beautiful & fully equipped with, tea, coffee, cookies. There were lots of lovely toiletries & towels. The shower had fabulous pressure, really roomy and felt great. The bed was enormous & one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. The hosts, Christopher and his wife Jayne were the most hospitable people ever. Gave us lots of advice about walking in the area and a little bit of history also. They were lovely people, warm and friendly. The breakfast was amazing! A large big hearty English breakfast with lovely big cafetière of delicious filtered coffee. The hosts kindly left complimentary water in the hallway which was really appreciated as it was a particularly hot weekend. There was a bench just across the path from the guest house which looked onto the cove. We even had the pleasure of watching the sunset. The location is simply perfect. I would highly recommend this guest house and we will definitely stay again. Thank you so much Christopher and Jayne for making our stay so special & enjoyable & magical. Absolutely fantastic.
