Guest Reviews
- Mary (8/5): Christchurch - Very good location.
- Patti (10/5): Lovely short break. - Janet and Vincent were excellent hosts and breakfast was delicious. The property is located in easy walking distance to the town, Priory, castle ruins, river and mariner and plenty of restaurants. Lots of other beaches and walks are a short drive away. Hengistbury Head and Mudeford Quay are definitely worth a visit.
- Mr Andrew (10/5): Lovely find - We had a weekend break at Stour House recently. The entire place is clean and fresh. Jan and Vince are friendly, accommodating hosts and also were able to advise on days out in the local area.
We felt confident with their covid arrangements. The breakfast is wonderful with fresh ingredients including homemade muslie, fresh fruit salad and good coffee along with a generous portion of cooked full English. Our good sized room was at the back overlooking the garden & was very quiet, decent sized bathroom with a bath and strong, hot shower. We would recommend Stour House as a good base for exploring the area - the town and seaside are within walking distance & many other places to explore are within a short drive. All in all a very pleasant weekend.
- Sital (10/5): - Friendly hosts, very accommodating and approachable. Good
- Steve (10/5): First class accommodation. - Cannot recommend too highly. Would hope to be able stay there on my next visit. 5*
- Nicola (10/5): - Wonderfully attentive hosts
- Ian (10/5): Superb Guest House - Very comfortable guest house, spotlessly clean and very friendly and helpful hosts. Superb breakfast.Walking distance to town centre and other amenities. Will book again next year. Very highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly hosts, lovely food - Only staying for one night for a friends wedding, but really enjoyed the accommodation. The hosts were very friendly and polite, the breakfast in the morning was lovely (and much needed!) and have to compliment them on the homemade greenguage jam! The room itself had it's own tea and coffee facilities, large en suite and comfy double bed. I have given 4 stars rather than 5 for comfort only because it was very hot during the night and opening the window would have meant we got the noise from the traffic on the street. One thing to be aware of - the parking spaces at the front were also very tight and with 4 cars on the driveway it was quite difficult to get to the front door! However, I own an EV and, although we didn't take them up on it, the host was more than willing to accommodate us plugging the car in to a wall socket overnight to charge if we needed to - very nice to hear.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really friendly welcome, lovely room, great breakfast (the sign of a good hotel) Thanks
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and friendly close to town centre very close to bus stops
- Frances (8/5): A warm welcome and an excellent breakfast! - Visiting elderly relatives in the area. A warm and helpful welcome. An excellent breakfast and very pleasant surroundings. Convenient for the town & access elsewhere.
- Andrew (8/5): A very nice, comfy B&B - This was a B&B at its best; clean comfortable rooms, great breakfast and pleasant hosts. Sadly there was a problem with the hot water which I was told was being resolved. These things happen.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -

- robert (10/5): Easy
Central to all amenities - Good weekend took the ferry from tuckton bridge to muddeford quay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Walking distance from the town, very clean and comfortable. Above average breakfast. No complaints at all.
- Simon (10/5): A great find - Lovely little guest house with super friendly welcome, comfortable well appointed room and a very good breakfast.
- Rob (10/5): very nice place - nice people great rooms beautiful breakfast 5*
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent - Stayed in room at the back of the house on the first floor which was quiet and comfortable.
- Robert (10/5): great place to stay - Very nice people that great you and helpful were to eat and drink clean and tidy had a good night sleep and a great breakfast in the morning ....out of 5***** I'd give a 6
- PHILIP (10/5): 2 Night stopover for wedding - Pleasant stay whilst attending a wedding locally. Friendly and welcoming hosts, breakfast outstandingly good. Bedroom and public areas spotless. Would be good base for local sightseeing, with historic areas of Christchurch within walking distance. Certainly value for money. Would stay there again and happy to recommend.
