- Wayne (10/5): - Its very close to the center of the Mariscal Sucre, and the property is lovely with a beautiful courtyard that gives it a rustic feel in the city.

The light above the bed flickered most of the night when raining so had to wrap my jacket around it to get sleep. Fixture was too complicated to take out light bulb. We had early departure before the breakfast was being served and were supposed to get some fruit and snacks but never happened.

This was an inexpensive place for us to crash for the night with a full breakfast in the morning. The woman at the desk did not speak English, so be sure to know enough Spanish to get checked in.

Our room was further away from the street with a lovely view of an internal garden, but still it was noisy due to being near Plaza Foch which is a party/bar neighborhood. We found the staff helpful with giving us walking or public transportation directions, and they were pleasant enough as they served us our breakfast.

- Pablo (6/5): Mal servicio desayuno - Fue bueno el hotel, tiene buenas camas, buen baño, y en general siempre estuvo limpio. Tuvimos problemas con el desayuno, ya que como ibamos de negocios, necesitabamos estar en reuniones a las 7am, es decir necesitabamos desayunar a las 6am a mas tardar y el desayuno lo sirven a las 7:30am. Perdimos muchos desayunos por causa de ese horario. No nos era flexible y teníamos que irnos sin desayunar.

Bad points hostel is in a very noisy area and opposite a bar which plays loud music every night till 02:00am. Room was much smaller than the photos and it gets very cod at night so bring extra layers. I had a shared bathroom and the toilet leaked and I only had hot water twice during 6 nights.

We arrive back at the hotel Wednesday and stay there the rest of our trip coziness clean and very pleasant and helpful staff members..

- Kevin (10/5): Great hotel, perfect location in La Marsical - We loved the Arupo and will return to it on our next trip back to Quito. The room was spacious, the bed was super comfy and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The owner let us stay in the room until 8pm when we had to leave for the airport for a very low fee. Highly recommend this hotel for the La Marsical area.
- Mina (10/5): Charming hostel in a great location - Great hostel. The room as clean and comfortable. The breakfast was different everyday (eggs, fresh fruit, freshly squeezed juice) and the staff was incredible. The common area is comfortable and they have beer for sale ($2). The backyard was great for morning coffee. The local area is full of restaurants and bars and close to metro bus stations. I would stay here again.

The room was very clean and comfortable. However, for one time the towel was not changed and toilet papers were not added.When I addressed it, the staff was apologetic and provided the new ones immediately. There are many bars and clubs in the area with loud music on till very late at night. Ear plugs needed for those who want to sleep well. Overall, the stay was good, but not sure if it was worth 80USD per night.
