• Veronica (9/5): Always appraciate our atays at the BBH - Great Pub with awesome food - big servings. Has that kind of fifo feel about the accomodation but it is clean, airconditioned, has washer dryer and hot water, basic facilities for a cuppa or takeaway. For the area it is great.

Washing machine made all our clothes smell like diesel or engine oil, they should be cleaned prior to guests showing up, especially if there's been a mine site employee staying prior to a tourist guest, not fair that we smelt like we did for the next few days until we could rewash it all. Pillows were BS, replacing necessary and also, provide extra for those of us who prefer 2 each... not just 2 on the bed. Loved the dogs in the house yard, vew from balcony. Also, transparency on where you'll be staying could be better. I thought we were at the hotel, as pictured and stated, but we were in the temporary miners camp, not really what we had in mind.

• Pauline (7/5): A quick stopover - The location and having access to a washing machine in the room. The furnishings are definitely designed to suit FIFO workers and three flights of external stairs isn’t great. Unfortunately we had roadworks directly under our window as well and finding our way into the carpark was tricky as all the surrounding streets were closed off. We had dinner at the hotel but the flies (inside) made it impossible to enjoy the lovely food, we had to take it back to our room.
• Karen (7/5): Lively location with good food. - This is a very busy hotel with very simple accommodation. The staff were great and very helpful. Busy and noisy.
• Carola (8/5): Comoda e spaziosa - Stanza spaziosa e ben fornita di elettrodomestici: frigo, ferro da stiro, stoviglie, boiler, lava-asciuga e phon. Aria condizionata funzionante. Letto morbido. Doccia grande. Staff cordiale. Scrivania con sedia comoda. Balcone con sedie e tavolino. C’era anche il sapone per la lavatrice! Posizione ottima. Parcheggio al coperto e vicino alle stanze. Si vede che il parquet aveva subito qualche allagamento perché era leggermente sollevato accanto alla scrivania ed era un po’ segnato dall’acqua vicino alla finestra. Siccome stanno rifacendo tutte le vie centrali c’è polvere rossa ovunque, ma si vede che cercano di pulire al meglio. Forse le tende/persiane sarebbero da rivedere perché entra un po’ di luce dal parcheggio. Le lenzuola e gli asciugamani erano macchiati di candeggina, ma puliti.

• Keith (5/5): We probably had unreal expectations for this accommodation, but glad we visited Onslow. - Beadon Bay Hotel, Onslow, is close to everything one needs to do and see in this small seaside town. The pub meals are good. We chose Onslow as one of our "night stops" on the way from Perth to Broome. Previous stop was Exmouth, next stop was Karratha, so Onslow was to "break-up" an otherwise long drive. Our "anticipation" was that we would stay in an "Room above the Pub" and be able to look out from the balcony. However, the three story concrete (no ground floor) disappointed.

• Gerrit (7/5): Stay if you are on a budget - The food at the pub is great. Pretty much one of two options to stay at in Onslow. You stay here or the Onslow Beach resort. The hotel is going through renovations so everything is a bit dusty at the moment. I am sure it will be great once completed. For now though it is nothing flash.

• Kayleen (5/5): - Not much, actually. On arrival, the man who greeted me at the desk was quite nice he showed me to my room by pointing it out, which was ok. Then explained how to get into the car park as there was a lot of roadwork going on. I wasn't told about the dining facilities i wasn't sure if there even was one. I found the dining which of course was part of the hotel. Because it was dark and I was on my own in asked the girl at reception if I could go out the back door to my room as it was closer and as it was getting dark, she looked up at me and said no its locked now.

We could park our camper trailer and car underneath and felt that there was good security. The pub has great meals and the town is pleasant with a few activities to do including another restaurant, op shop and some great walks on the ocean. Brilliant sunrises and sunsets. A reasonable price and a lovely break from camping. Our ocean view room had a glimpse of the sea and the floors and bathroom could’ve probably needed a bit of a deep clean but it’s hard to get that red dust out of everything.

Place looks tired needs an uplift, however place seems more for people on mine sites. Reception was unattended, had to hang around for sometime to be able to register. Had to be in early for food as long waits.

• casey (1/5): Very dissatisfied - The location and cute town!! The room was filthy and the floor was covered in dust and sand. The pub also was filthy. All the staff downstairs were really rude particularly the manager. The meals at the bar have gone really downhill too. Such a shame it’s obvious the change in staff have a lot to do with it. Save yourself the disappointment and head to the beach club. Great food, great staff and great atmosphere.

The room - spartan, grimy and uninviting. The bed very uncomfortable, the pillows felt like they were stuffed with old socks. Worst sleep ever. No milk to make a cup of tea. Fridge turned off. No cold water. Shower screen water stained and floor of shower stained.
