Guest Reviews
- chrispgr (10/5): Nice and comfortable stay in Nagoya - I had a very nice and comfortable 5 night stay at the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable and had all the needed facilities/amenities. The bed was very comfortable and so where the pajamas offered. The staff was very friendly and always happy to assist.
Even though there was space to hang clothes and with several hangers (I asked for more and they hapilly provided me with additional hangers), the only thing I was missing in the room was to have some drawers for my clothes. I found a solution, but if there would be any possibility to add 1-2 drawers that would be rather helpful for the future guests.
The breakfast was good and with a lot of choices. As a westerner, though, I was missing some fresh fruits (there was just a litle pineaple on the buffet) and some cereals.
But in general I had a very nice stay and would surely consider to stay again in this hotel during my next trip to Nagoya.
- SHIHCHIN (6/5): - The property is kind of far from main station. Not many restaurants 😕 around. So hard to find!
- Riza (10/5): - Accesible to train station, close to Toyota museum.
- Lai Yee (10/5): - Excellent breakfast
- Fred (10/5): - This property is walkable from Nagoya station and has a lot of restaurants within the area. Very accessible and very clean. The staff are great and amenities are great. They also have a coin laundromat and they have bath amenities as well. Enjoyed our stay so much.
- Gloria (8/5): - This hotel is just a 5–8 minute walk from the train station, which made it easy to get around. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the concierge staff were friendly and helpful.
The room had a nice high-end Toto toilet, and there was plenty of space under the bed for storing luggage. We also appreciated the wide selection of free personal items in the lobby, along with complimentary drinks like coffee, tea, juice, and water.
The only downside was the washer/dryer combo—it takes 120 minutes to complete a cycle, and even then, the clothes came out damp.
Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay with great service and thoughtful extras—just be ready to air dry your laundry.
- ARI (10/5): - Great location
- Akiko (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable room. The staff were nice and courteous.
- Josephine (10/5): - good location and great facilities.
- Siti Liana (10/5): - Very clean and well kept
- AKIKO (10/5): - I'm so satisfied with cleanliness!
- Kathrina (10/5): - Bottled water would be nice in our room
- BockTho (8/5): Good choice of hotel… - Always my first choice for decent yet price friendly stay. Laudromat especially! Pretty new hotel from the quality of room. Close enough to the Central station and food and shopping. Must remember its an industrial city, hence not much of excitement.
- Goh (8/5): - The condition of the hotel is reasonable and level of services acceptable. The only setback is the distance to and from the station, and the noise of trains passing even late at night and early morning.
- Kim (10/5): - Much nicer than more expensive hotels I have stayed at. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Convenient location to Nagoya Station and local trains.
- Joy (10/5): - The breakfast was good. Around 10mins walking from the Nagoya station if crossing some red lights. Staff are nice and enough freedom.
- Yuko (10/5): - A little bit far from Nagoya Station, however, within walking distance. Very nice hotel for solo or a pair traveler.
- VladMI (10/5): Excellent stay - I stayed for 2 nights in so called single room. I stayed by myself, so the room was fine for me size wise. It was a bit larger than a typical Japanese business hotel's room size, I also stayed in another Richmond property and it seems to me that Richmond has larger rooms than comparable hotels. Just my observation.
I liked it. The use of room space was very efficient (a typical Japanese efficiency), and I appreciated that. The room was clean and everything worked properly, as expected in Japan. I heard some noise from the trains but it did not bother me. Wi-Fi worked fine.
Everyone I interacted with was super nice, welcoming and friendly.
The breakfast was very good, a buffet style served in sparkling clean restaurant with fresh dishes.
It was around 10 min easy walk to Nagoya station.
I enjoyed my stay and would certainly stay here again. I am giving it an excellent rating.
- Geoffrey (10/5): - Nice new sink separate from toilet and shower. Excellent toilet and shower.
- cc (10/5): - The staff is very helpful. Room is good size. The breakfast is excellent.
- D S (10/5): Another excellent Richmond Hotel - This was a good base for various day trips around the region - and like all Richmond Hotels I have stayed in a comfortable and pleasant stay with helpful staff and a reasonable-sized and well played out room. It was just a short walk to Nagoya Station
- Valerie (10/5): - The room was comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.
- Jared (6/5): - Had very little variation between days of selection for breakfast.
hotel policy states no-one is allowes in your room other than those booked with you, yet there was advertisements for an in room massage by an outside company, inside the room.
- Daniel (10/5): - Right near Nagoya station, very convenient for a good price, usual Japan excellence in every way.
- Lauren M (10/5): - Friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms, easy walk to the train stations ( < 8 min.)
- Jack (10/5): - Cleanliness, close to the nagoya station, close to many good restaurants
- Chiaki (10/5): - This is my second time staying at this hotel. We left our phone at the reception when we checked out. We didn’t know until the receptionist run after us and brought our phone. It had been more than 5 min after we left the hotel. She must have been looking for us quite a while in 95 Celsius hot weather. We were so touched by her kindness. The staff were all kind and friendly. The room was very clean and amenities were good. The location was close to the station and convenient. We are very pleased to stay at this hotel. Definitely coming back again.
- Darren (10/5): - Very clean and well located.
- Kanami (10/5): - Very clean, convenient area! Wasn’t expecting hotel room to be as clean and comfortable. Clean towels, spacious bathroom, comfortable pyjamas etc. staff was extremely hospitable as well. Didn’t get to use this time but restaurant becomes a lounge at night with free drinks! Would definitely try out the same hotel in different locations.
- TXwonderer (8/5): Clean hotel near the train station - The hotel is a 6-8 minute walk from the train station. There were a lot of constructions around the station, so my first impression of Nagoya wasn't great. However, the hotel is clean and new. The check-in process was easy and the staff was friendly.
Our double room was very small but clean and quiet. The breakfast had a good selection though leaning more toward Japanese food. There are convenient stores nearby and a lot of restaurants in the train station. The ramen restaurant, Menya Shishimaru, across the street from the hotel is outstanding. There is always a long queue in front of the restaurant.
- aileenm934 (10/5): Hotel is super tidy! - The room is organized and clean. I stayed for 5days and housekeeping staff reminded me that it is mandatory to change the sheets, linen and towels; asked for my most convenient time to complete this. Necessities and essentials are available in the reception area and it is your choice what to get: this is one of the best ways in addressing wastage. Breakfast is extremely superb where everything is available - soup, greens, bread, fish, curry, breads, coffee, fruits; what a complete meal for breakfast!
- Reissard (8/5): - It was convenient and affordable, only issue was we went to the wrong Richmond Hotel that was closer to rail station. It would be good if the two were easier to distinguish from each other.
- Anita (10/5): - It’s convenient and clean
- Crystal (10/5): - The staff are very polite, helpful and professional. The location of the hotel is very close by the JR subway station and good ramen restaurant. The room is clean.
- Wee Sin (8/5): - Clean room
- Nieves (10/5): - Highly recommend this place.
- Nieves (8/5): - Service is good.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Nagoya Richmond - Very clean and comfortable hotel. 5 minute walk from the shinkansen exit of Nagoya station. Staff was friendly and room was very comfortable and a decent size compared to a lot of other Japanese hotels.
- Sayuri (8/5): - Breakfast buffet was excellent!
- Dexter (8/5): - Comfortable, convenient and reasonably priced.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice, clean business hotel. Larger room than other hotels of the same type.
- NgocAnh (8/5): - I have trouble with the television to access the internet and watch on YouTube.
Maybe it’s not allowed to watch YouTube free in Japan ?
- Edwin (10/5): - Staff are all very helpful. Rooms are very very clean
- YJ (8/5): - The staff are very helpful and helped us a lot in our travel planning. The hotel is about 10mins walk to the main train station and big shopping malls. There is a yummy fried chicken wings eatery just opposite the nearby traffic junction and also a convenience shop. Like most business hotel in the city centre, the room could have been bigger so have more space for luggage.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Within few minutes walk to Nagoya station but hotel instructions were not clear after exit, ended we took a roundabout walk w luggages behind BIC. Hotel signage not clear, stood in front of the building need to look up before you can spot the hotel name.
Given a room facing the railway line n if u are used to quiet room, bypassing trains can be annoying.
Rooms cean n compact. Check out is efficient n fast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel was within walking distance (About 15mins) to Nagoya station with all the shopping and food.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Staff nice, hotel clean and new - The hotel reception staffs are nice, the hotel looks new and the room is clean.
The bathroom is big but the room is quite small and the pillows are uncomfortable. Hotel location is little far from Nagoya station.
- SY (10/5): - Very helpful and friendly staff in a convenient location.
It would have been good to have a few more vegetarian options at breakfast ... or a bit more fruit!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Easy, new, comfortable. Thumbs up!
- Yuki (10/5): - Lovely. It’s my second time here and I absolutely love the location: quiet and close to the station! Also, I loveeee their breakfast buffet. Probably the best one I’ve ever had!
- TomiChopper (10/5): - Good location, staffs are nice, worth for spendind
- ping kei (10/5): - One word is enough,,,, GOOD
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very convenient from Nagoya station, we stayed for 1 night as there were limited options near Toyota stadium
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Big room, new renovations and very clean as well. The bathroom was large by the normal Japan standard.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very close to central station in Nagoya - 10-12 minutes walk.
Restaurants and convenience stores at walkable distance.
Room was clean and well looked after - be prepared that you have to deal only with AC and no chance to open windows.
Will come back if in Nagoya and need to be close to the central station.
- bestteo (10/5): Super bad customer service. Avoid at all costs - Was booking on behalf of clients. Had supplied all credit information and received confirmation. There was a confirmed email sent and all was settled. Nothing was indicated in the email that the hotel only accept credit card from the clients on the spot.
When clients check in, the hotel insisted the clients to pay. Was on phone with them for the last 30 minutes and they refuse to budge, stating security laws and only accept payment from clients. The company offered credit card details and it was not negoitable. The ONLY WAY was to charge the clients. They have only ONE WAY to all problems and it had to be their way.
With a hotels that is so rigid, I would never every put my clients in the hotel for they are not problem solvers, but problem creators.
I can actually foresee what answers they will give. "Sorry madam, this is our standard procedure". This hotel does not serve from the heart and have no intention to take care of their clients. Avoid at all costs.l
- abdulr865 (10/5): Another modern and comfortable Richmond Hotel - Stayed for 2 nights during weekdays. It takes about 6mins walk from JR Nagoya station Shinkansen exit. There are a few convenient stores nearby. Our "Double" rooms 17.3 sqm are mostly smaller compared to other Richmond Hotels, but it is newer and remain high standard in quality. I would like to go back to this hotel in the future if I stay in Nagoya again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Online this hotel said my room could sleep 6 people. Sadly no. Only 3.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff and very clean facility. About a 6-7 minute walk from JR Nagoya station.
- ESTHER (10/5): - Super friendly and helpful staff. Polite and welcoming. Good location which is 10min walking distance to nagoya JR Station. A lots of eateries nearby the hotel
- BRIAN (10/5): Good business hotel near Nagoya Station. - A good business hotel 10 minutes walk from Nagoya Station.
- Benjamin (8/5): Reasonable business hotel for one - This is a relatively new hotel located less than 10 minutes walk from the Shinkansen side of Nagoya Station. While overall this is a nice hotel, for a couple with two suitcases, the room was small. There is one suitcase stand, but no place to open a second suitcase except on the end of the bed. The desk space is tiny. Otherwise the WiFi worked great, the TV had YouTube news in multiple languages, and the breakfast was okay (not great).
- Desmond (8/5): - They serve free drinks from 5pm but it’s just juice, not beer.
7pm onwards they have free noodles.
On check in they give some soaking salts.
Overall good business hotel and near to train station, just 10mins stroll.
- Fran (10/5): - The hotel is walking distance from the JR station. Lots of eaters around hotel. The reception staffs are brilliant with their check in speed and hospitality. The rooms are tiny which is normal in Japan. Clean, details and separate bathroom, toilet, basin make the day different. Highly recommended!!
- PUI SHAN CELESTE (8/5): - location is good and convenience, quite closed to either Nagoya station and Kamejima station, plenty of choices for foods and drinks.
Room clean, kind services, good experience on this hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall not bad - Just some unpleasant smell in the toilet.
- Ken (10/5): - We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Great location (10 minutes from Nagoya station), clean room, and GREAT breakfast. They have varieties of Nagoya special foods. We will be back.
- Kay (8/5): - the hotel located near Nagoya station, just cross thee street.
Breakfast was so good. The room was good s it's price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Fair price
- Nao (10/5): - Clean and quiet hotel. Morning buffet with local delicacies was a big plus.
- Hock joo (8/5): Fantastice Serevice! - Overall it was a pleasure stay.
- Joonseok (6/5): Good for a solo traveler - Might be good if I traveled alone. However, the room was small for two persons to stay. Options for larger rooms were quite limited.
- Alice (8/5): - Overall, it's in a convenient location. The internet can be improved.
- Antonio (10/5): Cute hotel in Nagoya - Place is so clean and easily accessible to the station via a 10-15 min walk. Safe location. Friendly staff. Checking in/out is a breeze!

- Ka Ian (10/5): Clean and great location - Great location which is very close to the train station. Very new and clean public space and room. Recommended
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Handy Smartphone is a plus. Not surprised the room is small, but surprised bathroom is comfortable size.
- K (10/5): Great hotel near Shinkansen Station - Stayed here for one night. We were very happy about our stay. Staff members are very courteous and helpful. Breakfast buffet is very nice including Nagoya special food selection. Rooms are small by the US standard, but the average city hotel size in Japan. Overall, highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A nice hotel - The hotel provide different varieties of food for breakfast, which is delicious. The hotel is within walking distance from Nagogya station.
- Verified traveler (8/5): New and clean - The hotel looks modern, new and very clean. The room is not big but sufficient for a couple or two persons. The area around is quiet and it is walking distance to the station. The restaurant in the ground floor serves welcome drink from 5pm to 10pm every day. The breakfast is buffet style providing local Japanese food.

It was a short walk to the train station and we will be happy to return here for our last night in Japan.
