- Kamil (7/5): Ubytování à la béguinages - Snídaně byla bohatá, ale zase ne přemrštěná. Lokalita je velice zajímavá, připomíná to belgická béguinages. Nějak mi nevyhovovala matrace, ale nic strašného to nebylo.

- Aqua_Uomo (8/5): Expensive and small - If it wasn't for the large window I would have felt pretty claustrophobic.
Room are minimalistic, can't tell by the pictures. Not proportional with the price for a night. I paid 115 Euros for this tiny room and bed.
Clean and well maintained, the grounds are awesome, in the middle of an old and quiet upscale gated residential complex in the middle of the forest. Beautiful setting.
Breakfast is very good too. All that you need, clean and quiet restaurant with an amazing terrace.
My only comment is the price compared to the size of room and bed but I guess you pay more for the location than the mini bed and room.
- Jana (9/5): Great value for money, overnight stays and for travelers with dogs. - Simple clean comfortable single rooms offering all one may need, very good breakfast, quiet area, great for travellers with dogs, value for money, friendly and helpfu staff. Lack of dinner opportunities in the immediate vicinity, the windows don’t have fly screens, some rooms located on third floor with elevator only reaching the second floor.
- Monica (8/5): Nice location, 30 minutes from Berlin. - Dog-friendly, garden and surroundings Carpet in the room
- Hans-dieter (8/5): Clean and quiet hotel kn Spanday, - The cleanliness and the quiet situation., I could not pay with my American Express Credit card.
- Gajanand (4/5): Disappointing -
- Agata (5/5): It could be a very good stay if hotel's communication was better - Nicely located, clean and specious rooms, all necessary facilities available. We did not have opportunity to try breakfast. We would give the hotel much higher score but we had an unpleasant situation following lack of communication from the hotel. On 31st Dec when we arrived the hotel was closed due to a change in the reception hours. Unfortunately we were not informed about this in advance. It took us approx 30 min to figure out where to get the keys from. There was nobody at the hotel or available on the phone to help us. We were travelling with our dog which was scared of fireworks outside. The following day the breakfast hours were amended as well and we were not informed about this in advance. We left without having breakfast. Once the hotel staff arrived on 1st Jan they were very nice, apologised about inconvenience, even reduced the bill by 33% which was nice.
- babapapa2017 (4/5): remaote location, overprized - Has been a great location, but is now overprized for the service rendered and considered the remote location, ways out of town. Is at the outskirts of Berlin; expect to travel 90 minutes to the city center (one way).
- Dorothy (10/5): Great location for airport stay - Off the main road in an area of multiple buildings. Lovely place for a stroll. Great room overlooking greenery. No meals on weekend but plenty of places within short driving distance. Great access to airport. 20 minutes in traffic.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No Internet connection the shower is too small And no View
- D8791BNahmedm (8/5): Clean and Quiet Place - clean and Quiet place, friendly staff, nice breakfast near by Tegel airport,so far from Shoniefield airport,15 mins away from Spandau only the bus you can use to reach the Metro or train station but the bus stop is near by , not enough sign boards to show you the way to the hotel
- Adyar1974 (6/5): A more upmarket alternative to a youth hostel - This is a pleasant location to stay on the outskirts of Berlin, close to Spandau, which has a charming pedestrianised old town with pleasant cafes and the possibility of interesting walks in the woods and by the lakes. The hotel itself is in the heart of an unusual development of buildings - including a hospital and health facilities, old people's homes and a church - run by an evangelical foundation. This includes the hotel, though this is not intrusive, even for non-believers. The hotel can be reached readily by public transport from central Berlin (train/metro + bus) pretty much 24 hours a day.
However, the facilities are tired and dated, and the hotel feels institutional and rather unwelcoming. I found some of the staff surly and even curt. The food is generally poor, reminding many of the guests of school dinners of the the 1970s. The rooms are small and plain. The biggest disadvantage is the appalling wifi, which is a major constraint on 21st century travel, particularly for business travellers.
I would think the hotel is best suited to short conferences and gatherings of family and friends, where the peaceful setting and open spaces will be an asset to set against the rather spartan levels of comfort and facilities.
- lionmit (8/5): The perfect place for a lovely team retreat - The staff was excellent.
The center has everything from a supermarket to a cafe to a forest you can walk in.
Conference rooms we're great with a very dedicated staff, Thank you Hubby!
The only thing that was missing was solid Wifi connection, but if you are going for that remote retreat I highly recommend this.
- dagmaraka (10/5): Oasis in reach of the city - Smaller sized hotel in a wonderful area with a very interesting background, surrounded by forests, yet easily accessible from downtown Berlin. Hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible and were always exceedingly friendly and flexible. Sauna and swimming provide for perfect respite after a day of sightseeing, or conference meetings. Highly recommended as for business trips, as well as for travellers who seek some rest after the hubbub of the big city.
- Muthannah88 (8/5): I loved it - Came for a conference. Location is quite far from the city centre but with great Berlin transportation, the hotel is accessible 24/7 by bus. Room was comfortable and staff were friendly. I heard there were sauna & small bar but I had no chance to use them. There were hospital, church & supermarket selling goods with low prices. No AC but it didn't bother me much because of the weather. Great food as well.
- kben (8/5): I went for a conference and found myself on a retreat. - Set in a beautiful and tranquil location, the hotel is secluded and well equipped with a great sauna and friendly staff who really did everything possible to meet our needs and requests. WiFi isn't the strongest asset, but that also allows you to escape and switch off.
- rdbenaim (6/5): Lovely ground, but what Wifi? - I spent 8 days at the hotel on a 150 person conference (/ retreat). The grounds were lovely and so peaceful. The staff was friendly and accommodating enough, no matter how many of us asked the the same question.
The rooms were a bit worn, but really comfortable and nice. Note that there is no AC (though personally it didn't bother me).
Also, the hotel was on church grounds which was fun, and there was a bakery and supermarket (with bizarrely arbitrary hours) on the premises.
It's also easily accessible by the M45 bus, though it is rather far from city center.
My one gripe was the wifi, or lack thereof. on a week long conference, where people were telecommuting to work and needed to be linked back to their employers, this was a pretty big faux pas. Sure, there was wifi, but not enough to load, well, anything at all. The staff said it's because the hotel was at capacity-- but what does that mean to be a hotel that can't actually accommodate it's guests at capacity!?
(In the end the conference sponsored data SIM cards to solve the problem).
- albertos459 (6/5): What does WiFi mean? - If you like bugs and poor/absent WiFi connection, this is the hotel for you. At least the breakfast was good, with a lot of variety. It's quite far from the city, but there is a bus stop 300m away from the hotel
- Macikalu (8/5): Off the beaten track - This hotel is located at the very outer edge of Berlin-Spandau and borders the Spandau forest. There is hardly any traffic at night but also during the day it is not a busy area. Many paths in the woods invite to a nice stroll while watching ducks or deer and wild boars behind fences. Similarly the hotel windows offer views of many trees or grassy areas. Especially the huge windows in the breakfast area make for a nice start into the day. The breakfast selection is good and offers also hot dishes. The rooms are rather small but very clean, well maintained and are equipped with flat-screen TVs.
From a nearby bus stop you can easily reach the center of Spandau in 10 minutes and the Berlin city in about 45 minutes without changing buses or train. This way you see parts of Berlin that the average tourist wouldn't see ;-)
I am looking forward to my next stay there!
- andyg9053 (8/5): Lovely wooded location - Stayed here twice now, it is on the outskirts of Spandau, Berlin. Situated within a church/hospital groundsit is very quiet and backs onto woods.
The staff have always been very friendly. The rooms are a little small and dated but the peace and quiet make up for this.
It is at the end of th M45 bus route and about a 10 minute bus ride to the Spandau over and underground rail station.
Right by the bus stop is a lovely restaurant "Heidis" that serves gorgeous food, another report to follow.
The hotel serves a lovely continental breakfast with a small hot food selection.
If you want an out of the way hotel for peace and quiet I recommend this, cost for 2 adults and 3 nights Bed and breakfast 250Euro.
- Olgitit (6/5): Basic, very clean, very quiet - I have stayed in this hotel for a conferense. The hotel had quite small but very clean rooms. The shower was also very very small but clean and nice.
There is a spacious dining-room where they serve breakfast. The breakfast itself has been good too. The disadvantages were:
1/ the swimming pool (which can be used by hotel guests) is in another building.
2/ there is nothing to do next to the hotel cause it's in a complex of buildings in the middle of the forest. Very fresh air, though.
I think that it's a nice hotel if you come by car (and can go to Spandau center whenever you wish).
- scopie100 (6/5): Quiet hotel.............very quiet! - I recently travelled to Berlin and attended a conference at this hotel. The hotel is situated in the middle of Spandau forest and as such its quite remote and very quiet. There is a bus terminus 2minutes walk away (the M45 service will take you back and forth from Spandau central every 5 minutes for 2 euros). The hotel is one of many buildings in an area that reminded me off an old convent?! I still don't know what was going on in them?
The rooms were ok but basic and met all of my needs. It does feel a bit like a dormitory. The staff are all very helpful and spoke good english. The breakfast is very nice and i chose to eat in the restaurant on an evening. the restaurant is about 2 minutes walk away and NOT in the hotel?! They did provide wireless internet but it was 2 euros an hour. They state there is a pool and gym but its hard to access and not within the hotel, hard to find and organise entry. They really shouldnt advertise it as facilities of the hotel.
The bar did NOT open until 8pm which i thought was poor considering there is nothing else in the area. But the bus is easy to get to Spandau and you can get the S-Bahn into Berlin central very easily.
Overall, a nice hotel but perhaps just a little quiet and basic for me.
