Guest Reviews
- Eric (8/5): - The room was small and clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower worked well. Water tasted fine. Internet was good; make sure to get login information for the different networks. Other than that, it's pretty basic. Worked for me.
- Pamela (6/5): - The cabin was pretty nice. The fact that the toilet wouldn't flush made the situation intolerable. We finally resorted to adding water by the cupful, 40 or so! (no cups provided) to the tank.
- Amelia (10/5): Absolutely beautiful - This was my first time to New York and this cozy little cottage was definitely one of the highlights of my trip!! And the price was very affordable
- Deborah (4/5): - The property was Nothing like the pictures showed AT ALL!! The cabin bathroom was small the floor was disgusting & the shower stall floor was just as bad. When i booked it the price was $108 by the time I got done it cost $165 & then there was a mix up with YOUR BOOKING Arrangements & it cost another $20 to get the cabin!? :(( Very disappointed & the bugs in the room & bed was to Much.
- Jim (4/5): - Cheap room
- Ortelio (4/5): - The staff person wasn’t even in the office when I arrived despite presumably being on duty, and needed to be called by phone. He came quickly enough, however. When I checked out, nobody was there and I called the phone number again, only he didn’t come. I requested a wake up call, but there was no phone in the room and neither did anyone call my cell phone.
There were large mosquitos in my room when I entered. There were little flying bugs in my sink that flew out of the drain when I turned the water on. The room was not oppressively humid, but was very dank and cool. There were no amenities for food (restaurant, bar, vending machine, etc.) except an empty fridge which could have been cleaner.
For a low priced place, it’s definitely not the worst I’ve seen. The location is nice. Not too far from anything if you’re driving, very far if you’re not. The staff person I met was nice. I was able to book a mere 2 hours before arriving with no trouble. I was surprised by the apparent availability before I arrived, but not now.
- Michael (10/5): - Very clean and quiet. It's a motel - not the Marriot. Smoke detector kept going off for some reason (i don't smoke). Brian took care of it inmediately. Ill be spending most of August (Saratoga season) there. Recommended the place to several friends
- Dewey (4/5): - Limited amenities. Limited television and such. Okay for an overnight stay but nothing more
- Verified traveler (6/5): A good stay - I enjoyed it. It is what it is. It’s a short stay motel and perfect for the single traveler. Don’t expect the best because that’s not what it is. The manager Bryan was great accommodating. It’s no frills but a good stay
- CINDY (2/5): - The room smelled awful, very musty. Shower was gross, sink was clogged. The room itself is tiny, old food left in the fridge. We stayed 2 nights and I couldn’t wait to leave. There was no one in office, the whole time we were there but owner did respond to txt. Air conditioning worked well. Overall, I paid too much for this old, run-down motel.
- Diane (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Sam the manager was very accommodating and helpful. We were in the area for a lax tournament. It rained a lot, Sam dried my sons dripping wet sweatshirt. Very kind of him. The bed was comfortable. Room was clean except for the floors, my only complaint. Need a rug inside the door to wipe feet off. I really liked that the room had all the amenities I personally need. I would go back
- Alexandra (10/5): - Wonderful staff & safe stay thank you again
- Alexandra (10/5): - So cozy thanks again!!
- Linda (10/5): - A one star motel. Clean but extremely basic.
- Jane (4/5): Worst place to stay - Toilet was disgusting, bed was VERY uncomfortable, no access to coffee unless you drive 4 miles to Stewart's. Walls are paper thin. Had to turn the television to Max to not hear the people next door having sex. They really need to pay more attention to the cleaning and at least offer access to coffee.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ok for a night - Older, very old actually, cabin, lacking a nightstand. I’m also not sure what the $20 resort fee is for, as this is certainly not a resort.
- Taekyu (10/5): - Have everything I need.
- Brian (2/5): - Nothing the room stunk carpet was dirty very small shower ! Didn’t not stay in the room because of the smell would not reimburse us even for the second night place is a dump
- Anne (10/5): - Happened upon your place during short visit back to the area. Generally nice-innkeeper pleasant-rooms in road-facing units were very small…we upgraded to back area cabin. Rustic for sure…could use some lamps (overhead fan only light). Spare blanket please. Nice deck area in back of our cabin. Relaxing.
- Nancy (10/5): - I stayed here with my sister as an alternative to staying in downtown Saratoga Springs and loved the price, and location. It's an easy 15-minute drive outside of Saratoga, and the cabin is knotty pine, comfortable, and simple. I'd stay here again for my next visit. The host checked in on us with a text asking if all was satisfactory - a nice touch.
- Leona (10/5): - What we need for our trip
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fine no Frills no Complaints - Convenient to the racetrack for the price and for being outside the immediate area. Small and dated rooms but serviceable for a quick trip for the races.
- Jennifer L (8/5): - Needs to be more dusted ceiling and floor areas
No space to use toilet if you are little heavy or disabled other than that very clean used blacklight to check for bed bugs and absolutely NONE will be back
- cynthia (10/5): - The person kept in touch with me concerning when I was checking in. My room was small but just me just one night. Can’t complain because of time of year it’s harder to get avroom
- PAUL R (6/5): - DIDN'T EXPECT MUCH FOR THE PRICE.
- Patricia (10/5): - Out dated
- Rosalie (10/5): - There is almost no cell service there but there are multiple wifi networks you can connect to. Very nice and safe place to stay when my daughter and I were attending a concert at SPAC
- boubker (4/5): - Very unsafe place to far for everything
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Served the purpose
- Lisa (8/5): - Cabins are cute.. small bathroom, but we didn’t spend much time at the hotel so it didn’t really matter.
- Melissa (10/5): - Very clean, perfect little spot for a weekend get away, nice and quiet
- Steve (8/5): - It is a well kept older property but well maintained. Room was small but a good comfortable bed and very clean.
- Fileve (8/5): Cute Cabin - Cute place. Great deal for the money. Nice location just off the road and a view of the forest. Birds chirp and peepers peep. Love the dog theme of the room. There is string wifi. only local TV, which is fine, since you should be enjoying the sites rather than in the room. Its near enough to saratoga spring and other sites. Everything was clean and the greeter was very accomodating. I'd stay here again. The bolt lock on the door was a bit askew and didnt line up. Otherwise, felt safe. There is a microwave, a fridge and a bbq stand outside. Cute porch.
- Kristy (6/5): - You get what you pay for
- James (4/5): - The shower was full of sand. Small room. Small 16 in tv. Unable to control the heater. Very dry and warm.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Television didn’t work, WiFi codes in room didn’t work, no hair dryer in room, couldn’t find an ice machine, bedding was clean but blanket was virtually nothing, rundown overll
- Marco (8/5): - Property is a no frills motel but it’s clean and close to Saratoga Race Track. Was only there one night and for the price you can’t beat it. Only complaint is that tv remote did not work. Other than it was a a good stay for the price.
- William (4/5): Shabby, but adequate: Over priced - Very small room, with only one overhead light. A reading light would have been nice. One window overlooked parking lot with very bright lights. Window with sheer curtains, so no darkness for sleeping. Clothes closet blocked by portable A/C with notice "DO NOT MOVE" so no access to hangers or for hanging items. TV would not turn on even after new batteries in remote.
- Reginald (8/5): - The property was clean, the manager was responsive, accommodating, and courteous. Anyone would enjoy their stay here, if they're looking for a quiet rustic cabin retreat.
- Julie (2/5): Bedbugs - Bedbugs bedbugs bedbugs
- Asa (10/5): Comfortable value hotel - Its a comfy place to lay your head. Small no frills but eveything you really need. Its a great value.
- Richard (10/5): - Good
- Katarina (4/5): Bring Shower Shoes and Allergy Meds - There was a roof. The bedding and towels were clean. The front desk people were friendly enough. They did call me while I was at work, though, and asked when I would be checking in - I said after I got out of work around 11pm. I got there and they had an envelope taped to the office door with my door key in it, which is fine, but it had my whole legal name spelled out in bold print and which room I was staying in. As a woman traveling alone, that’s more than enough information to get someone like me ax murdered. There was no water pressure - I can only imagine because all of their water was trapped in the floors, walls, ceilings, and black mold I could clearly smell the second I opened my door. I only stayed there two nights, but it took a lot of vinegar and hair washes to get that musty smell out of me and my stuff. The air there is THICK. They have a lot of audacity charging as much as they do for those biohazard rooms. Bright side, the bed was relatively comfortable and I didn’t die. Bring your shower shoes, though. Also those curtains are not blackout. You can see through them if your light is on.
- David (10/5): - Stayed there in the motel for 3 nights (Sept. 16th-19th) for concerts at SPAC. The bathroom was very small. Having a microwave amd mini fridge in the room was great for staying a few days. I have stayed in a few places in downtown Saratoga Springs, on Broadway street and the rooms were similiar in size and cleanliness, and saved alot of money staying here. Next year I'll book a cabin here and enjoy the yard and grill that the cabins have
- jody (10/5): - Nice and clean, beds where comfortable, and quit.
- MICHAEL (10/5): - great place to stay
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Rustic cabin, was clean. No water pressure, so forget about a shower. Unique decorations in the surrounding woods. Halloween in August. Thin walls between the 2 units in the cabin, heard the neighbor snoring all night. Would not stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It’s a room that gives you a place to sleep. No cabins. Better beds than chains. Odor was unique. For the price during racing season it suffices.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Property was unkept, room had black mold on ceiling, gap of almost 2 inces between floor and bottom of door. Steps were uneven and handrail was loose. I'm a double amputee who gets around pretty good, and those steps were horrible for people without a disability Extremely overpriced. Didn't even stay, left the same day.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Needed a stay near SPAC and this unique cabin was cheap and available. Cabins adjoin two rooms near uniquely decorated woods, knotty pine , picnic tables, grills available, shower had trickle only was a bummer. Staff was friendly and hands off. Did the job !
