Harry (9/5): Beautiful hotel with wonderful rooms. - Wonderful property with beautiful rooms. We stayed in aroom with twin tower views giving a great light show in the evenings. Reception is on the 50th floor. All the staff are so helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was reasonable but did expect more from such a prestigous property. The only other issue is that it is a l5 minute walk from the nearest metro, so better to travel by taxi

Timothy (10/5): PERFECT HOTEL THAT LEAD TO A TRULY ENJOYABLE HOLIDAY - The staff at WA-Chengdu were exceptional, professional and very friendly and kind. Apart from the amazing hospitality, the room that we booked for was spotlessly clean - arguably the best hotel we've stayed in. Also, the team went above and beyond to making our honeymoon trip in Chengdu a great memorable one. We were greeted by a beautiful set up of swans with roses on the bed, a lovely fruit platter and a lovely welcome note. I cannot fault anything with this hotel and will definitely be coming back to Chengdu and only staying at the Waldorf Astoria. Thank you I could not fault a single thing. - nothing that we did not enjoy at this hotel so not applicable.

Мы приехали в 12 часов ночи и были встречены у входа, после чего без лишних формальностей нас сразу проводили в номер. Регистрация произошла за 1 минуту. Багаж подняли сразу. Keshan (8/5): This hotel does not offer waldorf standards. - the rooms are spacious. "While the Waldorf Astoria brand carries a reputation for seamless service, my recent experience regarding breakfast was disappointing. Due to an early flight, the night prior to check out, I requested a simple breakfast (eggs Benedict and fruit for my baby) to be sent to the room at 5:45 AM the following morning (ass the buffet breakfast wasn't opened at that time) Despite my stay including breakfast, the staff initially insisted on charging a room service fee and were reluctant to accommodate the timing. Given that the kitchen was already staffed and preparing for the day, the 'convincing' required to get a basic meal for my child was unnecessary. At the time the manager called to discuss, my baby was crying. i explained that i cannot take the call as my child needed my attention, yet he still wanted to discuss it. i was very frustrated, that i had to beg for food, and ignore a crying child because the manager was unable to understand that my request was easy to attend to, yet he made my feel like i was begging for a meal. A bit more flexibility for traveling families would go a long way in truely delivering a 5 star service.

EUNJU (10/5): - 1층에 로비가 없고 50층에 있어서 좀 특별했습니다. 짐이 있으면 1층 직원에게 맡기고 엘리베이터로 50층에 가서 체크인하는 시스템입니다. 방이 정해지면 직원분들이 방으로 짐을 옮겨주십니다. 직원분들은 친절했고, 침대는 편했습니다. 성도 금융센터(IFS)가 성도의 중심지라면 이 호텔은 좀 외진곳 같아요. 그래서 조용해서 좋았습니다. 49층 레스토랑은 뷰가 끝내줬어요... 아주 낭만이 있는 아침 식사였습니다. 좀 고급스러운 낭만을 원하신다면 이곳을 추천합니다~~

The hotel successfully blends classic Waldorf charm with the modernity of China. Location: The location in the vibrant High-Tech Zone and the in99 complex is excellent for those seeking a modern environment. There is direct access to the luxury shopping mall, and the proximity to Jiaozi Park and the subway station ensures easy exploration of the city. The view from the high floors of the Financial City Skyline (with its illuminated towers) is stunning, especially at night. Comfort: The comfort was superior. The room, with its Art Deco design featuring touches of brass and walnut, was a sanctuary of elegance. The exclusive Waldorf Beds, the pillow menu, and the marble bathrooms with a soaking tub and branded amenities (like Aesop or similar) guaranteed an extremely relaxing stay. The automated curtains and blinds were a highlight! Services: The service is what truly sets the Waldorf apart. I was treated to the True Waldorf Service, which includes personal attention and discretion. The check-in on the 50th floor is dramatic and efficient. The staff was impeccable and proactive, always addressing requests with the utmost courtesy. A little bit far from the center, but it’s in a very good area. Can access to subway easily if one knows how to rent a bicycle.

Jing (10/5): - Very pleasant stay at the Waldorf hotel in Chengdu, extraordinary experience before check-in already: I contacted the hotel requesting a high-floor room with nice view as I am celebrating 80-th birthday with mom. The booking staff replied swiftly and arranged everthing as requested with even a nice surprise: a birthday cake and warm decoration in the room. In general, all staffs are very friendly all the time. Breakfast offers various cuisine. Definitely my choice for next time in Chengdu again!
daifons (9/5): Fantastic experience - Great view of the Tianfu Twin Towers - both from the room and from the Brasserie 99. Our personal concierge, 周子浩 (Ansel) went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We must say that his service was half the reasons that made our stay one of a kind. Please forward our gratitude to him. Experience at the Infinite Luck was also superb. Again, the view was fantastic as we were able to see a sunset, then a night view of Chengdu with the Twin Tower in our sight. Food was great, and were explained well in an informative and entertaining manner by the wait staff. I actually later visited some of the regions introduced, which reminded me of the dining experience. Lastly but not the least, the live cooking of the pork bao was very entertaining (and mouth watering). A female wait staff (floor manager?) at Brasserie 99 who is proficient in English went above and beyond in serving us as well, making sure we had all we needed in a timely manner. When my partner was struggling to communicate with the chef who were cooking the tang tang mian, she promptly came in aid to translate the request. Also another young male wait staff frequently checked up on our table with a great smile every time too. In general, we had a fantastic experience. Thanks to the Waldorf Astoria Chengdu team. If we are to say a couple of things, then one is the English proficiency especially with the doormen downstairs. They bridge the hotel premise with the outside world, so if you are to welcome overseas guests, then the impression would change greatly if at least one of them can confidently welcome you in and out in another global language other than Mandarin. Also, we had the impression that the eggs benedicts at Hilton franchise is quite outstanding, but we the one we had at Waldorf Astoria Chengdu was average.
Bärbel (9/5): Great Hotel with wonderful view - Great view from the breakfast area floor 49 and the Lobby in floor 50. The breakfast was really wonderful, a broad variety and very good quality. The Concierge was very helpful. We loved having breakfast and enjoying the wonderful view. The bed. was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Due to a very good offer in Booking the Price for the hotel was very reasonable. The Pool would need some renovation, this was not a place where we wanted to enjoy swimming as we expected a much nicer pool area for this kind of hotel. But this is complaining on high Level, Pool is ok but very Standard. Also the carpet in the hotel room is quite old.

Che ho dovuto aspettare che pulissero la mia stanza per entrarci perché all'orario di check in non era ancora pronta ed anche il giorno dopo, ho dovuto chiamare la reception per farmela pulire il pomeriggio perché era ancora come l'avevo lasciata la mattina! Per un livello così alto di questa catena non me lo sarei mai aspettato!

Eleanor (5/5): Stay on the 44th Floor! - Despite the fact that this is an American-branded 5* hotel, it's very difficult to get in touch with them from outside China. There is a 'concierge' and tour group helper called Echo Zhang on their site and here on booking.com.....Echo has not worked there for over a year and is not responding to calls or messages. If you call the hotel, you will prob be sent to a phone tree (no immediate pick up). There were some problems with: spit on sidewalk in front of front door. poor quality Chinese wine in the hotel bar (tasted like it had liquor added to it to bolster it). house-keeping bothering us (assuming we had checked out but we were a weekend stay). door man snoozing half the time. No one speaks English
