• Shane (8/5): Decent budget stay - For a budget accommodation option Shooters is very good. I got an in room shower with toilets close by. Room was clean and relatively comfortable. The area around it is fairly bleak at night but it is close to the CBD. In an expensive city like Auckland this can help with budgeting a lot.

• Verified traveler (2/5): not good - after a long journey i arrived to be told that although i had booked a room with a shower, my "room" did not have one. the "room" ended up being a storage type unit with two beds crammed into it in a carpark. beside what appeared to be a brothel. I was also told there was going to be a party that night in the forecourt beside my room. within 10 minutes of seeing the room i cancelled it and was told by the hotel I would have to seek a refund through Wotif
• Tania (6/5): Nice room for a reasonable price - We had a nice room with a comfortable bed and nice shower, the toilet was shared with the bar. Poor lighting in the room. The toilet was a mess when we returned at 5am from our gig as and they'd had a Hen's Party in the bar.
• Mark (8/5): Close to where we wanted to go. Rock the park - The owner was very helpful. Facilities are clean and comfortable. The accommodation is cabins and with toilets separate as explained on website. The cabins are right next to the Shooters hotel and is a young travelers sort of place, so expect noise, as explained on the website.
• Disa (10/5): Nice hotel close to public transport and fast food - We've been apart for a year and that's why when he called me he's here for a short visit i thought i'll book a room for us to spend a night and catch up before he returns.It was our first time staying in a hotel together as well. We had a good time,our room was nice and comfy,clean and closer to the wash rooms.The location was easy to find. Closer to fast food take aways and kingsland train station. We just walked there to catch our train home. We enjoyed our stay there that night.If he's gonna come back,we will definitely pop in again.haha.All in all thank you so much, we really enjoyed our night at the shooters hotel.Till next time..thanks TM and D..

It is an older building undergoing renovations, so obviously not in perfect condition but priced accordingly. Great location, $6 taxi to town and easy access on and off motorway.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Really not fit for accommodation. - Although the owner is amenable, and the cabins are clean, they are totally not soundproof, and its as if you are on the road. and in the bar (at night= something needs to be done to make them habitable.

One of the electric sockets had an accumulation on dust on it and had come away from the wall with wires sticking out. Absolutely appalling.

• Verified traveler (10/5): A place to put your head - We went to Auckland with things to do, but needed somewhere to sleep. This is the place. Easy walk to the train & tonnes of places to eat & drink. The bed (& room) was more comfortable than most of places I have paid double this price for.
• Dave (6/5): Great location. Close to great facilies - The owner was professional and welcoming. I appreciated his service. All Rooms were clean and tidy. All facilies were accommodating. I just didn't feel the description on the net at wotif matched the actual and so I was a little disappointed. I would have appreciate more info. Like its very noisey. The facilies are a little walk away from the cabins if you need to go to the toilet often or need a shower. Rooms are very warm and if you open the window it's very noisey. It was a great cabin clean and tidy just not what I expected overall. The owner was very professional and nice about everything
• John (2/5): Tin sheds - These cabins have no bathroom nearby , you have to walk through a car park to adjoining building and use the 1 shower in ladies toilets. This bathroom is shared with the bar patrons so far from ideal. There is 1 toilet (which was gross) near the 15 or so tin shed cabins outside. I don't know how this set up is legal ?
• Saruul (6/5): Booked only one night - We had double bed and one single bed on top,the room was right beside the bar. Shared toilette with party guest. Very very noisy night due to the party reception until 1am. But the manager kindly warned us when we checked in, and told us that is usually the have party until 4am. Check-Out is at 11am which is a good thing. We noticed that they are trying to renovate and make things better and as much as comfortable for guests. So I ll recommend this hotel and cabin to a friend to give them chance.
• david & izzy (10/5): Nice cheap cabins and rooms - V good 4 people on a budget, backpackers & stag & hen do! Excellent staff, just ask 4 shayne! Nothing is 2 much trouble for him.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Close to the city, new and getting there. - Shooters had a great fell for the young adventurous type, new little cabins were very well appointed with comfy beds and great towels. Great proximity to public transport and the city and easy to find if you are driving your own vehicle with great off street parking. It is for the young and adventurous with shared bathroom facilities and lots of fun and noise around. This place is going to be a great place to stay when all the refurbishments are finished and we would recommend it again.

• Beatriz (4/5): Hotel con pinzasº - Este hotel tiene un problema. Tiene una habitación, la más barata que está dentro del bar propiedad de el mismo dueño, pero eso no te lo especifica el dueño y es un poco rollo si necesitas salir varias veces de la habitación, porque todos los clientes te miran mal y más si hay una fiesta privada. Además los fines de semana tienen fiestas con música en directo hasta las tantas de la mañana. Tengo que decir que el dueño me avisó de eso antes de seguir adelante con la reserva, pero se le olvidó decirme que la habitación estaba dentro del bar y al lado de la plataforma donde están los músicos. Así que no aconsejo este hotel para alguien que quiera pasar desapercibido y descansar. Además pone que hay parking privado en el establecimiento, si es verdad, pero hay 6 plazas disponible para todos los huéspedes y clientes del bar, por lo que tonto el último y si no te toca aparcar fuera pagando.
• Jade (6/5): Nice area but wouldn't stay again - Soft towels, comfy beds, bus stop out front to city, really nice restaurants/ cafes up the road, walking distance to Mt Eden, one communal shower you have to walk thro bar to access, room got hot in afternoons, internet wasn't that great which was really frustrating, on main road which is noisey, if there is a function on at night them it's hard to sleep for the noise

• Verified traveler (4/5): Bad advertising. - Nice cabin. Just a pity the advertisement state room equiped with shower. No shower or water supply in room. Just bed tv and small fridge. The owner said the site says it's shared shower facilities. I can't see this being mentioned on site. We were unable to use the shower and toilets after about 6 due to private functions. We had to go to the petrol station a few meters away. Couldn't even bath my baby. The party noise was extreme and we obviously didn't enjoy a good nights sleep. No proper parking . We will never go back or refer a friend. We paid for something that my ute could've supplied. The photos are misleading so i hope the owner rectifies this poor advertising for other peoples sake . This place is definitely not for someone looking for a place to stay. Definitely for party animals. Worst $210 spent ever.
• Honey Badgers (10/5): Plenty of Character - Perfect venue for a party, close to town. Pretty laid back atmosphere. More suited to people that aren't too fussy or can't handle a bit of fun. Would stay here every time im in auckland :)
• Giselle (10/5): Unexpected delight - Gorgeous old character building decorated with fun, saloon theme, this was a true urban escape. Fresh linen, proximity to great food and friendly, helpful host made this a night we will never forget.
• Bruce (6/5): Good for the bucks - first night was in the main complex and was a comfortable room, second night was in the cabins, very light and airy and clean and comfortable, really cozy. Considering the rate I think it is good value for money with a bus stop right out front and minutes to down town.
• couple stay (8/5): Party stay - Aimed at party people but we stayed mid week luckily it was quiet as there'd be no sleep otherwise. shayne the owner is lovely and helpful. very cool vibe. we stayed in room under stairs where there is a squeeky floorboard in hall and bit noisy but were comfortable.
