While it is not located near the center of town it is a 15 minute walk. The price is less than center so that’s nice. & it’s easy to drive & find parking in town in April & I understand there is a shuttle in season. Right on the ocean with a porch & chairs to sip wine & take in the ocean views and sweet air. Friendly helpful staff. I’d prefer to have breakfast availability on site tho there are nearby places & a lil kitchenette in the room

Shuttle bus with friendly driver took us to dinner and picked us up afterwards. This was a great perk! Thermostat was tricky. If adjusting temperature up more than 1°, the heat would come on automatically. If adjusting thermostat down more than 1°, air conditioning would come on.

- kdcogs52 (10/5): Switcheroo! - We originally booked the Icona Diamond Beach. However, the water main burst and the fire sprinklers in hotel were inoperable. We were informed to compensate us, we'd been booked at Icona Cape May in the exclusive oceanfront suite! What a wonderful treat for my husband and I! Such a gorgeous view and first class suite. The resort staff is at the top of their game making us feel welcomed and valued. We stay at Icona DB and Icona CM often over the years since their existence. And have always enjoyed our accommodations and the friendliness of the resorts' staff.

Bathrooms were clean, beds were comfortable, ample space for clothing. Water pressure in the showers was a little lacking. And could have used a bit more counter space in the bathrooms as well.
- yvetteg569 (10/5): Friendly and clean - From the friendly reservation experience to the more than accommidating check in experience Trish was so helpful. Being unfamiliar with the area, we actually called around to a few places and my husband partly chose this place because of how much more friendly Trish was on the phone to answer his questions. We had a last minute change, the trip was for our son's coast guard graduation and we needed a bed for him to stay with us a night. Trish accommidated our request with ease changing our room to a more spacious one that had a murphy bed. It is the down season so it felt like we were the only guests in the hotel but that didn't stop Trish or Jojo from getting up and greeting us at the desk each time we walked by. Housekeeping came by each day after we stepped out and they did an amazing job also. The room was very clean with plenty of towels and supplies. We would defientley stay again!

The weather was not the best when we were there but we were able to use the pool one day. The pool is very small but it was never busy. The property is pretty far down the beach from any retail, also it was the week before memorial day and we were surprised by how little was open in town.

- teepe54 (8/5): A Quiet and Relaxing Getaway at an Adorable Seaside Property in Cape May - We are frequent visitors to Cape May and planned a quiet long weekend between Christmas and New Years. To this end, we chose this property which wasn’t in the middle of the action, had views of the ocean, and was walkable to restaurants and the Washington Mall. We loved it! The bright decor, service, and amenities were wonderful. Spotlessly clean, lovely linens and plush towels which were plentiful. We had a deluxe king with a refrigerator and wet bar, and that was a plus. A small balcony with an ocean view was lovely. All requests were met with a friendly and accommodating response from staff. Professional and unobtrusive service, and the housekeepers were lovely and well-trained. I give 4 stars because I would have liked more counter space and storage in the bathroom, although the tiled and glass enclosed shower was very nice. An upgrade to the shower head fixture would also go a long way. We would return to The Icona for sure.

It’s a great smaller hotel with big hotel amenities. It’s in an absolutely fantastic location right across from the gorgeous beach. The rooms are fresh, spacious, beautifully decorated and spotless, with all the amenities you could think of, from a good-sized fridge to nicely appointed closet. The staff is always great- this time we met JoJo who was funny, welcoming, kind and helpful. We always love John, the super friendly shuttle driver who will take you anywhere in town in the evenings- what a fantastic perk so you can enjoy a beverage and not worry about driving. Staff like JoJo and John are the reason we always return to the Icona Cape May! Stay there, you’ll love it.

Good hair and body products. Jojo at the front desk seems to work 24/7 Amd was polite and helpful, offering recommendations for restaurants when asked. This is a 5 relative to their hotels of its type, not a luxury hotel at multiples of the price.

Service was top notch, room was beautiful and the extra touches for our 25th wedding anniversary were unexpected and heart-warming. We also appreciated the shuttle service as it was just one less thing to worry about.

- jackieF55 (10/5): Comfortable - This is a lovely hotel, on Beach Avenue. The rooms are very very clean and comfortable. Have stayed here 3 times and have never had any problems. Parking is underneath the building and getting to your room is very quick on the elevators.

The staff and their service was exceptional. Specifically, Kim, Trish, JoJo, the shuttle driver and our housekeeper were extremely helpful, kind and friendly. We would recommend this hotel any day!

- elizabethgV8663HF (10/5): Great stay at Icona Cape May! - My husband and I decided to book a quick weekend trip and stay at the Icona Cape May, everything about this hotel was lovely. From check in to check out, the hotel employees & ladies working the front desk were so sweet & gave us great information for our visit. The room was cozy & had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel is just a short walk from everything, although we were offered shuttle services as well. Everything in our room was very clean and we felt right at home. Honorable mention is the delicious Icona coffee pods! Perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee on our balcony. We hope to be back soon!

The location felt safe, very convenient to restaurants, and downtown attractions. We particularly appreciated the onsite, free parking that was available.
