Our room was amazing, the service was excellent and the staff were so friendly and would do anything they could to assist. And that’s before the amazing wildlife we saw over 6 game drives. I am already plotting how I can make a return visit.

• Cian (10/5): Honestly amazing, but know what’s involved in “safari” holidays! - The room and lodge are exactly as you’d expect from information online. Very luxurious and comfortable. We really enjoyed the game drives and the little touches like “bush babies” (hot water bottles), blankets and snacks. We especially loved the romantic dinner set up for us on two of the nights. The staff are so, so nice and happy to assist. It is paradise in the wild. I would recommend doing your safari here and then picking a luxury hotel to relax in afterward, that’s not necessarily a safari resort. You will be tired after all the game drives! At one point, there were only 4 of us staying in the reserve and along with the game drives, we had to have breakfast, lunch and dinner all together with our park ranger, which was pleasant but social batteries can only go so far! Thankfully more guests arrived and joined us during our stay but I feel like it would have been nice to be consulted about whether we’d prefer to dine in a group or dine privately… there was one day where we barely got to have a private conversation together because we got no time alone! I guess this is probably the nature of a safari holiday, where a “group” element is important. We just didn’t know.

• Adam (10/5): Thank You for making our honeymoon Settlers Drift - We chose to stay at Settler’s Drift as part of our honeymoon, and we were treated like King and Queen from start to finish - it was amazing! Each suite was huge, monkeys were outside the glass-walled shower. The safaris morning and evening were incredible,each time we saw something new or rare but our safari ranger knew where to find them and each of our requests to see a certain creature was fulfilled within the 3 days we were there. Greeted back after each safari with a hot towel and a drink, and having the best trucks which held 6 people maximum complete with blankets and drinks was incredible and felt very exclusive. We even were treated as a surprise to a private meal in a private room one evening, and the other nights were spent with others and our ranger Louis who was great company and had amazing knowledge for someone of his age. The food and drink was amazing, and the service second to none. We’d recommend this to everyone, it was One of the best experiences of our lives!
