Guest Reviews
- Masataka (10/5): Clean, Comfortable, and Perfectly Located! - I had a great stay at this hotel! The room was very clean and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of sightseeing. The location was also excellent, it was convenient to get anywhere in the city. I recommend it to others looking for a well-located and spotless place to stay.
- W4750AXdebrab (2/5): Terrible service - Really disappointed with this hotel. The staff were unhelpful and unfriendly.
We booked a trip through the hotel and they tried to scam us into paying twice. I was phoned by reception at 11.30pm demanding I go down to pay immediately in cash for a trip already paid for. This was sorted out by phoning our travel agents, Wendy Woo travel, who sorted this out for us.
Rooms were basic and food was substandard.
- Jackie (10/5): - The pool was nice, but not the same in pictures. Does get very slippery when wearing sandals. The buffet was good, not a lot of variety, but liked how it had viet food, ask to order pho and some western food. The AC did turn off and is set on a timer to turn off which was a little annoying. But overall, great stay!
- Trip54541200653 (4/5): Excellent location - Excellent location!
We stayed for three nights. Not expensive and not particularly cheap. The location of the hotel is excellent! Everything goes downhill from here. Average breakfast, one day we arrived half an hour before closing and almost everything was empty, they didn't replenish the stock. Apparently, in other hotels we were not used to it well. Getting into the shower is a feat, you have to climb about 60 centimeters to get in and then get through the bathtub, which is about 20 centimeters thick (photo attached but can't upload video) which is difficult. But getting out the same way and wet is already life-threatening. Not to mention the shampoo and soap, they smell like rat poison, just disgusting. The walls between the rooms are like cardboard, you can hear everything. Oh, sorry, I almost forgot to say that the mattress was very good. I don't think I'll return to this hotel.
- robinrT4067FD (2/5): ZERO communication!!! - We haven't stayed yet, but we leave in two days and they have not returned any of my email's nor have they answered their phone. I've tried 5 different times. I was trying to get information about the airport tranfer (they say the provide). they haven't returned any messages even the ones I sent with my initial booking. I'm beginning to think they don't exsist!
- 548rcs (6/5): Good if the Air Conditioning is working. - The hotel is ok. Location is good. But stayed there twice (going to and from Cambodia) and both times the air conditioning was sub-standard. Finally convinced them that the AC wasn't working and moved to a different room.
It does have a nice pool area overlooking the city.
- ali1950 (10/5): Best hotel in Saigon - Wow wow , we love this hotel , it has been our home for 6 holidays over the last 7 years , the staff are wonderful & so friendly , we have made friends with many of them especially Thao, management upgraded us for this trip & we love our room. Beds are very comfy , good pillows, great Brekky , rooms clean & spacious , great location two blocks to Ben Thanh market , Independence palace & postoffice . Plenty of eating choices nearby
- Travellots2910 (10/5): Good experience - The hotel is in a great location within walking distance of many sights, good restaurants and the market. The staff was great, breakfast adequate and the room simple, clean and spacious. The pool was quite nice with good views from the rooftop.
- Tommy599 (10/5): Very comfortable hotel - We are on a 23 day OAT tour of all of Vietnam.
Stayed in this hotel for three nights and organized all our touring out of this central location.
There is a nice pool up on the roof.
The hotel has 86 rooms, and was built in 2017. Giving this hotel a 4.4 Hinge rating (scale of 0-5)
- Steven (10/5): - Brilliant hotel next door to the Palace of Independence. Modern and very clean with very helpful staff. Lovely roof top pool with great views across Ho Chi Minh. Loads of good restaurants nearby. Central Ho Chi Minh walkable from the hotel.
- 536kient (4/5): Noisy karaoke party on the top floor hotel ruin our stay - After the long flight, we expect a peaceful rest in the 11th floor in this hotel, instead we were suffering a constant noisy from the karaoke Party on the 14th floor. The 14th floor is open to the atmosphere and extremely noisy to the neighborhood and impact our room with full blast of music and screaming from the party goers! As customers, we feel the hotel Management completely ignore the customers choose to stay in this hotel for peaceful environment for a good rest! The bright spot: one of the Front desk clerk (Tâm) finally offered some concrete step to resolve this problem by offer us to relocate to the more quiet room after complaining the noises! Other than that the room is clean, good location! The karaoke’s in the open air with a full blast of music right above the hotel rooms is a very poor decision !!! Note all the windows is single layer, very poor noise insulation!
- toeknee17 (8/5): Great Hotel, excellent Location - The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to all main attractions. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, great variety. The swimming pool was lovely after a day of exploring. Many restaurants and cafes are nearby. Ben Thanh markets 5 minutes walk. Street food market around the corner had lots of options.
- chocolatechaos (2/5): Worst hotel I’ve stayed - The staff need a complete overhaul or some serious training on hospitality and the fact they’re supposed to welcome tourists not find them an inconvenience. The woman at the pool bar if you can find her since she does her best to hide in the back room and play on her phone the entire shift is one of the rudest people I’ve come across on any trip. Higgs and rolls her eyes when you ask for a drink takes an hour to make a simple drink because she’d rather be on her phone and generally hostile to us all. Appalling service she needs a job in another industry where she doesn’t need to be near people.
- Gary (10/5): - Nice people.
- minwayne (6/5): Ho Chi Minh City - Saigon - Central Palace Saigon Hotel – Ho Chi Minh City - one of the worst hotels ever, as far as service goes. Reception staff, were OK. Staff everywhere else looked like they really didn’t want to be there. We were sent from reception to three different floors looking for pool towels – by the time we arrived back at the pool it was closed. Often there were no bar staff at the rooftop pool, we used the phone behind the bar to call for service. It is a shame because the views of HCM city from here are to die for, especially in the evening. This hotel could be so much better.
great things about the hotel: excellent location, close to some really good restaurants, market and shopping. Pool was fantastic. Rooms were very nice and clean.
We loved Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) stayed 4 nights and had an unforgettable time. We enjoyed a very special day trip to Long Tan (recommend to everyone, but especially Aussie travelers).
- Stuart (8/5): - Great place, everything is very close. Pool is great to cool down
- William (4/5): - Very near an excellent tennis and sports facility. Great location over all.
Wouldn’t give me a half hour extended checkout so I could enjoy the pool after a four day stay when it was far from full!
- Discover03690431637 (8/5): Great holiday experience - The hotel is spacious and in a wonderful location in Ho Chi Minh.
Bit it is the staff that shine. They went out of their way to assist us with a friendly and lovely demeanor. And the buffet breakfast kept us going until dinner time.
- lorrainesara (6/5): Average hotel - Just average is all I can say about this hotel, nothing special. Staff were ok but did not really engage with us. We did not like the 3in1 coffee in room, when asked if they just had coffee sachets told no. Room average as well nothing special but then we were split at Hoi An and the Lasenta Boutique Hotel
- U1359MRmarkl (10/5): Amazing hotel!!! - Excellent hotel in great location fantastic breakfast .Stayed last year and heading back again in April.Rooms are clean very very comfy beds opening windows to allow fresh air noce park view clean bathrooms happy helpful staff close to everything in Saigon! To those who complain don’t expect five star accommodation on a beer budget if it’s not up to your high standards spend the money and stay at the Majestic or Caravelle and stop complaining your on holidays so cheer up for a change. Thanks again Central Palace highly recommended 👍👍👍
- denise (10/5): - Would stay again if in town.
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Shavonn (10/5): - Close to eveything. Easy to walk to Ben Thanh Market
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location of the hotel is excellent and close coffees and shopping mall just 10 minutes to Saigon mall , and night market
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Très bon établissement.
A proximité de tout.
On peut presque tout faire à pieds.
- Ester (8/5): - I like the architectural design, the room was spacious, the lift was fast, air conditioning system was great.
Opportunity for improvements: soundproofing, installation of grip bars at the bathroom
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Sijainti oli hyvä. Samoin aamupala.
Uima-allas oli ihana.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a beautiful hotel within walking distance from all the sights in Ho Chi Minh. Nothing is to much bother for the staff. Breakfast caters for everyone. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
- brett (8/5): - 4 day stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Staff were very helpful, breakfast a good variety. Very central area. Room was good, but could do with a freshen up.
- Yue Shing (8/5): - Good location and clean hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- carole (6/5): - Great location opposite a park, quiet and safe area and only 4 blocks to the market. Beds and pillows very good, rooms nice. Breakfast good but not great.
- Mattias (4/5): Dålig mat. Nära centrum - Riktigt dålig mat. Betalde 750000dong för en tet-buffé. Gick knappt äta
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was excellent, and the rooftop pool and bar was very nice. We also enjoyed the lounge area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location just next to imperial palace! Elegant hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Central HCMC - Nice hotel with a tasty brekfast.
- Benjie (8/5): Value for money. Short yet a good stay - One block away from Ben Thahn Market. Great location nearby shopping malls and restaurants. Buffet breakfast with varuety of choices.
They should put blinds and good Air conditioning in the fitness room
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great location - Great location, feels new, very clean. Wifi horrible, shower not enough partition allowing water overspray
- Patrick (8/5): Good location - Walking distance to Takashimaya, Ben Thanh Market, Saigon Square, Cafe Apartment and pubs around Backpacker Street. Many local food outlets located near hotel. Friendly and helpful staff.
- Anthony (6/5): Great Location - Hotel is in the best location, for markets and shopping. Although the hotel is a little dated but by no means is it not comfortable, the pool area and lounges are lacking refurbishment.
- Allan (8/5): Nice hotel close to tourist attractions in central - Modern clean hotel. Found it quiet, although on the 11th floor. Staff very attentive and service quick when needed. Pool floor with bar great, although some pool chairs need maintenance. Very central in district 1 so close to most things you would want to see and within walking distance .
- DeAnne (8/5): Great location - My friend and I stayed here twice because of the location. Everything was within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished and the rooftop bar should be visited at least once. This is where the pool is located and the view is great.
- Morgan (10/5): - Enjoyed location
- AL (8/5): Great hotel and good location - Near tourist point, very convenient and nice breakfast. Love the rooftop swimming pool. Book city view room for 4 nights. Unfortunately I thought my room have bath tub from the photos, need for my baby to bathe. Checked in without bath tub, so we requested to change immediately but after 2 nights just get the room with bath tub. A bit disappointed on their arrangement. Overall it's nice hotel.
- Kang&Group (8/5): Nice stay and good breakfast - We came for the first trip in Vietnam (8 persons) and everybody is happy with the hotel conditions and food but not staff. They should consider more for quests and treat them equally. We came for check in on 2 pm but the room will be ready by 3 pm without caring of guest's feeling. The group coming after us are welcome with drinks but we are treat coldly not even having cold drink of water. Anyway, the hotel is very nice to stay for a couple of days and facilities are very good in deed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Best sleep of my life! - Decent hotel that is close to the main attractions. The bed is very comfortable and room is big for 2 persons. The gym is small but it is ok since it was empty when i was there. Buffet breakfast was ok, nothing special. Terrible staff who kept moving my bike without informing us. Once, they moved our bike from one level to another and we wasted a good 30 mins trying to find it. When we confronted them, they weren't apologetic at all and just simply mentioned there was a meeting so they are making space for other vehicles. Zero apologies. Other than that, all was good.
- Srinivas (10/5): Excellent location - we had a comfortable stay. Lucky to get nice view room. The room is reasonably spacious. It has nice restaurantIf they add more vegetarian items to the menu it will be very nice. The WI-FI is good.
- Song Wei (4/5): Great location but thats about it. - Good location with great view on the 11th floor. However, one of the 3 rooms we booked had a faulty safe and hotel willing to move us to a new room. Another room has got a faulty air conditioning. Despite engineer came and left promised to return in 5 mins (waited till late evening still no show) twice informed the receptions it was then being repaired to bearable climate control for the final 2 days stay.
Front desk service can be improved as feels not friendly. Wi-Fi could be weak in room, as well as at the lobby. Poor breakfast selection. Can't even compete with a 3 stars hotel we have stayed during our Vietnam trip. Not refilling the breakfast until one pointed it out to staffs. Run out of coffee during breakfast! Nice pool and jacuzzi but food and drinks taken more than 45 mins when there's clearly no one except us on the 14th floor.
- Andy (8/5): - The hotel was great and clean.
- Alyxx (6/5): Close to the Markets - The hotel was ok, it is little pricey for what you get to be honest. Granted the location is very close to the markets and everywhere else, but the facilities need a little bit of a face lift. The pool area could do with a spruce, the front of house desk was a right mess, there was food , drinking bottle from the staff just piled up behind the desk and paper strewn everywhere, it needed a good tidy up and completely removed. Having come from Hoi An at a hotel called Lasenta Boutique Hotel, where the staff took pride in their hotel and coming to this was lacking lustre.
- Sunil (8/5): Stay at Central Palace. - I stayed in this property for more than a week and enjoyed it's central location. The property is fairly new, well furnished for a centrally located 4 star business hotel. While breakfast spread is decent, it finishes at 9.30 AM and I think the hotel management should be a little more generous with their supply of complementary drinking water, given the hot weather.
- Thong (10/5): Excellent Hotel for the Value !!! - The Central Palace Hotel is one of the best hotel I've ever stay at in Saigon for the value . Once arrived the staff was very welcoming and accommodating with my requests for a late checkout also they info me of the amenities...such as breakfast buffet time and location, pool floor and hrs etc. The room was very clean, comfortable and overall just perfect. Location was excellent for walking across the street to Independence Palace, and a few block from Notre Dame Cathedral , Central Post Offfice, Ben Thanh Market , War Remant, and your modern shopping malls such as Vincom, Diamond , Saigon Square and Takashimaya. The only thing bad I've really have to say was the bar was really steep in price on the drinks...as for everything with Central Palace...It was amazing!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff very helpful, relaxing hotel, very clean and impressed with stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location, great bed for a comfy sleep - Very comfortable bed, nice location closer to shopping and food. Good breakfast n nice pool on the roof top.
- Christine (10/5): Great location - Hotel is in a great central location and the views from the pool and bar are awesome. Reception staff could be a bit more helpful when inquiring about a late checkout instead of giving conflicting information.
- veronica (8/5): Nice hotel close to everything - Nice, got a lot to offer like masssge, pool, restaurant
- Colin (10/5): Definately recommend - Excellent location, very quiet at night so great sleeps. friendly staff, fantastic evening & meal on Roof-top restaurant/bar.
- Paul (8/5): Good location - Good location, close to city centre, Ben Thanh markets and with a park view over Reunification Palace.
Breakfast very good. Customer service a bit lacking.
Bathroom had a ridiculous design with shower over the bath but water splashed around bath then flowed across floor. Getting in and out of bath quite difficult with my wife slipping and injuring herself.
Hotel is fairly modern and pool is good.
- Mandz (8/5): Perfect location - Perfect location right near market and walking distance to all land marks but in quiet street across from park away from noise.
- Elesha (8/5): - Good location, nice pool, friendly staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): Grand hotel - Good location with close to major attraction. The room n hotel facilities is good.
- Peter (8/5): Nice place - The hotel room was nice and comfy. Breakfast buffet had a fair bit and basically catered for most tastes. Rooftop bars was nice.
- Elvin (10/5): Awesome stay! - This is a new hotel with modern design. The location is excellent. I love the roof top restaurant, it has an excellent view and the price is affordable.
I really enjoyed my stay here and if i have the chance, i will definitely come back again!
Kindly note that minor renovation is in process in this hotel now.
Thank you for the great stay!
- Sing Kok (6/5): New hotel, but poor sound proof - Poor sound proof, voice from corridor clearly hear in the room.
- Van (8/5): Good morning Vietnam - Hotel service people are nice and available to help, most speak good English.
- Tay (6/5): Nice hotel but check the mini bar when check in - We choose this hotel because the rooms look nice modern in picture and spacious also the location near market and local attraction.
Booked under park view and the rooms in 11th floor. There's renovation in 12th floor when we stayed so quite noisy during day time.
The bathtub is big & high, but when u shower the water will spill over and dripping to the floor as no curtain.
The bad experience is when check out, the receptionist said we drink the water bottle in the refrigerator which we did not do. So I went up and take a look but none in the room and I check myself. At first did not know what is missing but then saw that the seal of one water bottle was open & drink up very little not even quarter. So I call back receptionist and said we did not drink it. The receptionist replied its settle already and when I back to lobby found out that my husband settled it as the amount is not much & we actually in rush to airport. I very upset and told them is very ridiculous, then one of the receptionist said want to refund it. It's not the amount matter but instead they check it properly just throw the responsibility to guest. My guessing that the previous guest open it and the staff did not clear it as when I go up checking it's still inside the fridge. And the next guest, who never open the mini bar or fridge like us, also did not check and get charged again.
Overall the hotel room is not bad, spacious, cozy and nearby local attraction.
- oleg (6/5): new hotel looks like old inside the room - new hotel but rooms and hallways looks like 10 years old nice stuff nice entrance close to everything breakfast was ok rooftop terrace very good aircon and wifi working ok
- Diane (10/5): Loved - Big panoramic windows, beautiful view from my 9th floor room, very comfortable bed, big bathroom, beautiful views from pool area and rooftop bar. Loved staying here, short walk to Ben tah market and sights. Big room, small seating area. Friendly staff great stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Overall, the hotel was good but the room size was a bit same compared to was display on the site
- Frances and Ike (10/5): Nice new hotel - The bell men, the front desk and the hostess in the breakfast buffet were genuinely friendly and helpful. The location was convenient.
- Adel (4/5): Nice hotel with good location. - Stay was good except that daily showering is a chores. During shower, the water will flood the whole toilet. We have to keep using our legs to sweep the water to the draining area. End up we have to use the hotel towel to prevent the water from flowing out of the showering area. I hope the hotel management / maintenance department will look into this problem.
Both room that we book have this problem.
- Jasna (6/5): New hotel but not well kept - The hot tube not easy to get in and out, the pool looks old
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel - This hotel is within walking distance of most of the"must see" places in HCMC.
- Soobee (2/5): HORRIBLE experience - Stayed at this hotel on 24 Nov for 2 nights.
Pros: Close to the 'street food market', new building.
Cons: DIRTY, as soon as I entered the bathroom, floor was oily so I nearly slipped over. In addition, the 'new' bathroom towel had some stains on it, which looked as if the towel was used to wipe the food. SERVICE, was bad. I kindly asked for a cutlery and the reception told me to go get it myself... NOISY NOISY NOISY! no sound proof. The nights we stayed was thursday and friday. First, Friday morning, someone knocked the room next door and hotel staffs were talking in the corridor at 6am in the morning. I thought people were knocking our room so I went out and realized it wasn't our room. Could hear cars and motorcycle outside early in the morning. My flight was early Saturday morning so I went bed around 11pm. There is a club/bar around the hotel and I could clearly hear the base and even the lyrics of the song! (stayed at level 6) Couldn't sleep till 3am. I do not recommend this hotel if you are planning to have some relaxing time. Also avoid weekends!
- hn (8/5): Nice hotel - It is a new hotel, still under construction so the sewage system needed look after (smell), new staffs but overall, it is comfortable. We were checking out late due to our flight schedule, one of the staff was very helpful arranging for us to take shower at the top floor swimming pool as other hotels will do anyway, PR is important if hotel want us to come back and recommend to other travelers. Next time in few months, hopefully we will come back, all will be corrected.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Delayed Check in and problems - I had a late check in the hotel and still the room was not ready when I arrived. Had to wait for at more than half an hour so went to have dinner first and had my luggage kept in a friend's room. When I finally got my room, I had my shower but the whole toilet area was wet as the water from the shower seeped into the dry toilet area. The whole bathroom floor had soap residue, bubbles and water from the shower cubicle. Next, my room phone wasn't working and wasn't attended immediately and hence had to go up and down around 8 times to communicate with the hotel staff. Another challenge was trying to get an iron, as the hotel only has 3 handheld steamers for the whole hotel...ended up with some unironed clothes. On top of that hotel staffs struggled trying to communicate and understand English. Despite all the problems, I appreciate the effort made by the hotel to overcome the problems at the end but wished didn't have to go through all the above as these are basic facilities/services provided by any good rated hotel. Lastly, the hotel satff asked us to return the laundry bag where we kept our dirty laundry separately.
- Monique & Paul (10/5): Brilliant staff, Great hotel! - Staff are so friendly and helpful. Great hotel once it is finished, which is not far away will be even better. Perfect location to everything in HCM. Will definitely be coming back.
- Verified traveler (6/5): New hotel but not in full operation yet! - Hotel is still in pre-opening stage although stated should be ready by 15Oct. Swimming pool & Dining area is semi-ready only. We choose option to have in-room breakfast as they is no buffet breakfast. A pity 'coz the dining area is lovely. Breakfast is filling but wish they have a menu to choose from.
Rooftop Pool area still in some construction stage with workers walking about. Nice view of the surroundings.
Hotel website states 25sqm for a deluxe room but why is it stated here as 36sqm? Bed is comfy but a bit hard in my opinion and pillow is small. Room is spacious with clean and fresh-smelling sheets and linens. Our bathtub had a open window to the bedroom. Housekeeping is excellent. Could not find any fault with cleanliness except for a small flaw where housekeeping did not make-up our room on the 2nd day 'tho we requested twice through the hotel room make-up sign. Weird enough is they cleaned our room on the day of check-out!
Apart from the fact that facilities are not ready, we had a comfortable stay. Good cable channels, strong WIFI, clean rooms, minimum noise from the streets and the hotel construction! I've little doubt that it would be great when they finally completed.
- erin (4/5): Ugh - The hotel didn't have the type of room I reserved, and the pool wasn't open.
