The staff was very accommodating br - The property was close to the venue that we needed to be at, the entire area was clean. The staff was very accommodating and nice. The rooms were comfortable and well kept to let off a little steam. They had a basketball court and even basketball if you could check out. Christine at the desk was super nice very professional very personable and super accommodating. She deserves five stars and a huge raise she is amazing. I would stay there again just because of her wonderful smile, demeanor, and professionalism. The property was perfect. There are no dislikes.

The hotel should have that posted and not have guest stay there .

• Charlie (9/5): Will keep booking here for future Tyler visits. - The room was clean and spacious, and the lobby staff were quite down to earth. Breakfast was basic but was not too bad. This is a simple, no-complaints, no-nonsense hotel, and made me feel nice and easy just like the rest of Tyler.

The pool was closed / disappointing for a holiday weekend in July. A sign on the front desk explained that the hotel had posted notice of the pool being closed in its ads, but that information was not on this website.

We were informed that they were going to be doing renovations soon, which is great as well. The thing I didn’t like is that the pool wasn’t accessible because it was closed due to an issue, so on those hot days we were unable to unwind in the pool.

• 418bobh (4/5): Horrible housekeeping! - My room had blood on the side of the bed, out of Kleenex, no conditioner in the bottle in the shower, remote control battery cover would not stay on remote. I told the front desk about all these issues the first morning and all that happened was house keeping came and made the bed and put a couple of new towels in. None of the other items or issues were addressed. This hotel is scheduled for a remake, but if they don’t do a better job with housekeeping, who cares? Very disappointing for a Hilton!

• Christina (6/5): - We spent a couple nights here while in town to visit family. The room was fine for our needs. Clean and seemingly well maintained. However, two of the main reasons I picked this property was for the basketball court and pool, both of which were advertised as being in operation according to the pictures and amenities list. The pool was in obvious disrepair and not cleaned in months and unusable. The Basketball court was severely damaged with no hoop, glass shattered and still on the court (safety hazard!?) and no fencing. This was a major disappointment for my 3 kids. Please, if major amenities are not available let people know that ahead of time.

Breakfast was okay but typical scrambled eggs and mystery sausage patty.

HOWEVER, the morning after our first night, we woke up to find that the ceiling in the bathroom was leaking, dripping down onto the edge of the tub and onto the floor. We threw down towels and started packing to leave, as we had to check out that day and drive to another location. And, I was afraid the ceiling would cave in on us. We were unable to use the shower and had to dodge dripping water to use the toilet. We also had an event to drive to in another city later that day, but decided to leave and hope we had time to shower elsewhere. We reported the leak at the front desk and asked for a refund or something for the inconvenience. We were told that we could have another room (useless because we had to leave) because said clerk (redheaded young man- can’t remember his name) said he had no authority to refund us told us to call the general manager. He acted completely uninterested that the CEILING WAS LEAKING in our room!!! We called KATHERINE STANTON-GENERAL MANAGER- TWICE -and never received a response!!!! Very lousy customer service! We won’t be staying here again, if this is how they DON’T respond to not only inconvenience, but unhealthy and possibly dangerous situations in their hotel! Rooms2.0Service1.0Location5.0

• Brittany (8/5): Overall, I enjoyed my stay and even rebooked for my next visit to town. - Great location with multiple entrances & exits to make the guest flow easy. The room was a really nice size and the bed was very comfortable. I don’t like the fact that housekeeping only comes every other day. If you’re staying more than one night, make sure you ask for extra towels depending on the size of your family.

• Brian (8/5): - I like the fact there was a fan in the room, something I sleep with at home. I do wish the beds where softer, maybe offer a topper for those of us that cannot handle the firm beds. Other than that the room was nice and I will stay here again.

• U9093DKjenniferl (4/5): Lacking in quality - The hotel has really gone down. It is really dirty. There are stains on the carpet and a weird smell in places. It seems as if they have been really trying to cut corners since new management has taken over. Everything from the quality of breakfast item and utensils to bedding has been downgraded. A simple example: Even though there is a sofa sleeper in the room, they don’t keep bedding in the room. You have to go downstairs to get it. When you do go downstairs to get it, the bag does not contain all the necessary bedding. The Marriott hotel chain is a better option in Tyler. Also remember that Homewood Suite at the time of this review charges an automatic $50 a night incidental charge even if you don’t use any incidentals.

• Jason (6/5): FALSE ADVERTISING FOR BREAKFAST - Kitchen ran out of food way before breakfast scheduled to end and lady was very rude & dismissive about it. If breakfast is until 10, it should be supplied til then. Others and i didn't receive the advertised FREE BREAKFAST & weren't compensated.
