- Tayosha (10/5): Definitely coming back! - Spacious rooms, great free breakfast, great location (even though I was thinking seaside was on the beach but you have to walk across a busy road and about 5 minutes to the actual water), super friendly staff, the room fit everything we could have wished. Check in was a bit long but it was due to a lack of staff that day to clean rooms and get guests into their room. Front desk was great to help us out here though.

- Joe (8/5): Nice place to stay, enjoyed the size of the room and kitchen. Not happy with paid parking. - Breakfast was really good, Location was very nice. Was not happy about paying for parking at this location. We travel a lot in Texas and the charge for parking in this location was a shock.
- Bryson (8/5): Oustanding Manager Cecily , Educate yourself about the 50 dolla a day deposit alongside parking fee - The front desk lady Cecily made this stay. She went over and beyond to provide exceptional service. Definitely would visit again. Great overrall ! The breakfast was good but the food lacked versatility and was very limited. I didn’t get to enjoy much breakfast on my trip due to heartburn caused from the breakfast served. Need more family friendly options.

- Karen (4/5): We will not return - The room was spacious and clean. We have a special needs Daughter that liked her area. We woke up in the middle of the night, smelling burnt wire or something. The amazing front desk lady came to our room and said that she smelled it as well. She let us know. There was no maintenance on staff that we could check it out.. We did not feel safe, staying in a hotel where it might catch on fire. And there was no staff on duty that could check on it. Not even a staff member on call. My special niece’s daughter and my sister and I had to find another hotel at 1 o’clock in the morning. The staff member on duty, tried her best, but her hands were tied with the policies of the hotel….. not having anyone that can check to see where the burnt wire smell is coming from. It’s not acceptable not to have someone on duty or either a contract with a company to come check in emergencies. That is bad business.

It was listed as beachfront. We had to cross a 4 lane highway and a large public access parking lot to get to the beach. In reality it is about a 15 min walk even though you can see the ocean.

It isn't in the most convenient spot on the island but there are a couple of places that are walkable. For an overnight pre cruise stay it is a good place. The ceiling fan in our room was a bit squeaky. I had to turn it off in the middle of the night because it was keeping me awake. But it was not a big deal.

Check-in was a breeze. Joe at the front desk is a gem! He obviously cares about people and about providing great customer service. Later on I realized I had forgoten to pack a toothbrush, and he cheerfully provided free toothpaste and a toothbrush. Our suite and the hotel in general were spotlessly clean and very quiet. We did not eat breakfast there because of our morning schedule, but it appeared to be more than adequate. Every employee we interacted with was cheerful and pleasant. We will probaby stay here again the next time we come to Galveston.

Right from the moment I arrived, everything felt welcoming, comfortable, and pleasant. The room was spacious, and I really liked the extra amenities like the refrigerator, microwave, and kitchenware. These touches made it feel like a home away from home. But what really stood out was the great service. From the start, I was greeted warmly. I want to give a special shoutout to Joe at the front desk. He gave us a personal welcome and checked in on my colleagues and me throughout our stay. His kindness and attention meant a lot to us. We all loved him! The kitchen staff was also great and very helpful, which made the whole experience even better. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Galveston.

- williamwW8160UX (8/5): One of the Better Homewoods with Two Disappointing Factor - This is one of your above average Homewood Suites: very clean, nice breakfast buffet and helpful Front Desk Staff. We had issues with our suite on the first day but they were immediately addressed and the General Manager contacted us to apologize. Here is what you should know if it's important to you! First, the suite pictures and description posted on Hilton's website are outdated. When my husband and I travel, we like to relax in the living room and find it awkward both sitting on the couch. I reserved a one bedroom suite because it shows a nice easy chair next to the couch and work desk area in addition to the kitchen table. Don't expect either as they have been eliminated, I guess, as part of their renovations. Second, the suite does not have Central A/C. There are window style units, mounted underneath the window, in both living room and bedroom. The bedroom is quite tight for space and the A/C blew onto the bed with no way of controlling it. When I have air hit me like that while sleeping, I end up with a bad cold / sinus infection. We were there for 3 nights and it happened to me so now I am spending the first 2 days of our cruise sick and in bed.

- 961colink (6/5): Awesome location - The main problem with these kind of hotels is the horrible maintenance. Things at the pool were in disrepair and the interiors were pretty beat at some parts. The staff experience as well was pretty mixed. The reception staff was always highly friendly - but rather inefficient. The breakfast staff was always… well not greetings no smiles - just standing there either on the phone - eating themselves or talking to each other… ridiculous. Food quality for the breakfast was the worst of my Texas round trip. Disgusting meat - everyday breakfast tacos … yeah definitely so much room for improvements. The Wednesday social hour on the other hand was outstanding! Fresh fruit - beer on the tab, wine and self made lemonade - cheese and sweets - soup and salad >> WOOOW! The best I had since before Covid in any Homewood! The room was spacious and very nice - we decided for ocean view which was definitely worth the extra. The room service situation was not clear to me as I was not directly informed about it - and the sign at the reception which I only briefly took a look at was not clear to me. After 2-3 days we had roomservice - rather quick and dirty imo. Especially at a hotel close to the beach, with towels this is an issue. Beach is like a short 6 min walk from the hotel and very beautiful. This is the best selling point for the hotel. Be aware that parking comes at a 15$ up charge per day! The pool is pretty nice - not a lot of space to sit - but a nice plash pad for kids as well.

Clean and comfortable rooms with a friendly staff. Breakfast was not anything special, but it filled the tummy.

I didn’t get them until the last time when I went to the front desk and the receptionist went and personally got them. Also Booking.com says your are directly on the beach. While there is beach access you must walk across a pretty busy road to get to it. Roughly 1/2 mile and not 300 feet like stated. The pool was not heated like they said either.

- RooibosDrinker (4/5): A Little Sloppy - It was refurbished recently and clean but not as good as other Homewood Suites. The staff seemed unhappy. This incident seemed indicative of the place. No one wiped up milk that sloshed out of a cereal bowl in front of the elevator. Instead, they put a caution sign over it for at least an hour which seemed like a hazard in and of itself. I saw multiple employees look at it and walk off. It would’ve taken a single napkin to sop up, but it was left to stick there. The pullout couch mattress was so thin you could feel the metal beams below. The kitchen /breakfast bar staff tried but it wasn’t as good as other Homewood Suites as their eggs and potatoes were wet but I liked their carnita breakfast taco. The food corporate supplied just isn’t as good as Hyatt and Marriotts. In general, Homewood Suites are great for their set up but in general don’t seem as good as Hyatt and Marriott properties.
