- Ronald (10/5): Excellent value . Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. - The staff were so friendly and welcoming
- Bev (10/5): Cheryl went above and beyond for us!! Can’t thank her enough! Excellent employee!! - Location was just off the highway. Very easy to find. N/A
- Triple AAA Packing Services ltd (8/5): -
- Carolyn (9/5): Loved the breakfast at Justimere’s - Room was nice - fridge and microwave- large room. Bathroom a bit dated but clean.
- Abrianna (10/5): -
- Michelle (5/5): -
- Denise (6/5): Decent - It was decent. Check in only until 10pm. Shower grout not the cleanest. Unable to eat breakfast as it was not until 8 am (after start of first meeting). Perhaps better for a family than for a business traveller.
- Heather (10/5): It was clean, comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. - The breakfast was good. The location was accessible. The facility needs upgrading. It's being maintained well by staff but needs to be updated. The bathroom shower needs replacement. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was cozy, and clean. The smart television/wifi system is a bit too much to navigate after a long drive.
- Suzanne (10/5): - Breakfast was excellent! I would prefer regular tv instead of going thru my personal apps!
- Jeff (10/5): -
- Monique (8/5): -
- Dan (10/5): Great value, even greater service friendly service so glad we stay - Very friendly staff, loved the Madonna in the garden and the Crucifix on the wall as well as the Claymore sword . Very friendly waitress at breakfast. Clean room and great access off the highway and back on.
Thank You very much

- Allison (8/5): - I appreciate there were no carpets in the halls or room. Room was comfortable. Streaming TV was convenient. Breakfast in the attached restaurant was excellent, but the voucher could have been communicated better.
- Donald (7/5): -
- Susan (8/5): -
- Lesley (8/5): - Good food, great coffee, very friedly
- Emily (9/5): My daughter and I love staying here and we'll definitely be back! - The hotel is mostly renovated and looks really nice. The beds are comfy but what sold me when I was booking was the vouchers for the restaurant. After staying two nights I decided to always book Claymore Inn. I have since stayed another 2 nights. My daughter and I have girls weekends and she loves it for the pool and the restaurant. It is close to everything, just across the parking lot is Boston Pizza. I found everything else we needed was less than 10 mins. away. The pool facilities need work. The size of the pool is great, it's not freezing and having the access to a hot tub was nice too. The sealing around the hot tub looks kind of gross, the wood steps seem to be peeling. The water seemed cloudy and I wasn't sure how often it was being changed/how well the filters were working. We still enjoyed using the pool but I expected more.
- Brian (9/5): Only one night, but loved the stay, shopping area close by - Location, friendly
- Dena (8/5): -
- Nancy (7/5): Fit the bill for us. - Voucher for breakfast was a nice touch, as was the Justamere Cafe. A nice surprise. The area around the property was not the most inviting. That being said, for our purposes, a one night stay en route elsewhere, there was everything we needed. Easy on/off the highway. A grocery store, liquor store, restaurant all within yards of the hotel. Desk staff were friendly and engaging.
- John David (7/5): -
- Roy (7/5): Comfortable . Good for one night stay. - Breakfast was ok but expensive. Toilet bowl was very low. Towel missing. Heating system very noisy. Tv worked intermittently (streamed in and out).
- L6010NIsaraha (10/5): Warm and sweet - Warm welcome from the community, as per usual in Nova Scotia 💪💪💪 🍁🍁🍁
Beautiful Christmas decorations and warm spirit 🎄🎄🎄🎅🎅🎅🧑🎄🧑🎄🧑🎄🤶🤶🤶
Danke!
- islandgirld2023 (10/5): Great stay - We had a girls trip over from PEI and had a crazy drive in the snow to get to the inn. There was a mixup with the reservation (not the fault of the hotel) and the front deck person - Nannish I think - was super wonderful to us. So kind and helped us for over an hour to get it right. The beds were wonderful - shower was great and the breakfast in the restaurant attached to the hotel was wonderful. I wish we had more time to explore the area as the hotel is attached to a mall. I imagine it is lovely in the summer. highly recommend this place for the service and value for money.
- Ellen (7/5): -
- Leslie (3/5): - The area Pool was way to cold hot tub not hot and it smells like mould in the pool room
- Judi (8/5): Great place to stop for a good sleep , breakfast and bakery. - Outstanding breakfast with lots of options. Great coffee. It’s an older property so it doesn’t have the pizazz of a modern facility, but it’s totally fine
- Daniel (7/5): -
Merci
- jean (9/5): We went to antigonish to stay for the night as we had an early dr appointment. We stay here every y. - Breakfast was very tasty, served hot with a very pleasant waitress. Didn’t like waiting for room to be ready so late in the day. But I guess that’s the norm (4pm) for most establishments these days.
- Judi (8/5): Lovely old hotel with a great restaurant and bakery on site. Close to the highway for easy access. - The food is marvellous. Super fresh , great quality and served hot. Service staff friendly . Great coffee too! Floor in the bathroom looked like te staff forgot to clean it.
- Keating (8/5): - Location

- Relax306364 (10/5): Great hotel for the money, would stay there again! - Very quiet and clean hotel. Good price for the value. The breakfast was included up to a certain price that was fine with us. I an vegan and they really went out of their way to bring me a delicious vegan breakfast. The management was available and helpful to us at all hours.
- Emma (8/5): -
- Betty (10/5): -
- Dorajean (10/5): -
- Pamela (5/5): - Very dated. And there are apartments in the building as well. So there was alot of noise of people coming back and fourth
- Laura (7/5): - Staff we very friendly Building is old and in need of updating
- Alex (10/5): - Restaurant was absolutely fantastic. Nice to have the hot tub and sauna too!
- Alan (7/5): -
- Mark (6/5): - Average hotel. A bit dated, but had everything you would need in the room. Front staff was friendly, $15 voucher for pick-from-menu breakfast at attached restaurant, 4 minute drive to downtown. I have no complaints.
- Kim (8/5): - The property was in a great location close to some shopping and dining. It was a 15 minute walk to main street. The staff were friendly and helpful. Responded quickly when I let them know the tub did not drain properly. The $15 credit for the onsite restraurant was nice. The restaurant, however, was not the greatest.
- Maurice (8/5): - Great proximity it everything
- Penny (8/5): -
- Robert (8/5): - 👍
- Janet (7/5): - Breakfast onsite
- Gregory (4/5): - Room was probably the noisiest room ever in 50 years of international travel. An ice machine, a vending machine and a stairway access door were literally right outside our door. The ice machine was not enclosed and was located right in the hallway. The ice machine in particular was just ridiculously loud, humming all night with loud bangs every time it was used which was frequently. Combined with a loose fitting door with a large gap at the bottom (that I attempted to fill with a bath mat) created a very lousy sleeping experience. Attached restaurant next door was quite good but $15 “free breakfast” voucher was pretty skimpy and didn’t cover the full cost of the least expensive hot breakfast. Not a good experience to say the least!
- Susan (6/5): - Front desk wa excellent.
- Rachel (10/5): - Place was clean and comfortable and well situated near many amneties.
- Brian (10/5): - Fantastic stay,great hotel,wonderful breakfast in a pretty town.
- Kevin (10/5): - Great view from the back patio! Clean and quiet.
- Andrea (7/5): Buono, ma peccato per la colazione. - Buona posizione.
- Heather (8/5): - Hotel is a bit dated, but rooms are clean. Soap dispensers at sink and in shower - so if you like a bar of soap, bring your own.
Check in was slow, so bring your patience.
Restaurant and free breakfast were nice.
- Kevin (6/5): The restaurant next door was very nice - The location was fine., That we couldn’t get into room until 4pm, 3pm would have been better
- josephine (10/5): - I love everything about this property
- David (8/5): -
- Roger and Joni (8/5): -
- Kim (10/5): - Rooms were neat and tidy and they offered a great breakfast deal. We would stay again.
- Gil and Margaret (10/5): - Tv did not work well staff tried many times to help get it going but the tv service was aweful.
Our only complaint
- Edgar (10/5): - The room was neet and clean
- Raymond (10/5): - Room was amazing and the staff were so nice. Breakfast and service was excellent
- STEFAN (10/5): - Very clean efficient run property. Everyone is in full attendance, knowledgeable and helpful, I very much enjoyed the night there!
Thank you all , be well Stefan
- SHEILA (8/5): - Everything was acceptable, just dated.
- Andrew (10/5): - Great location and very nice staff. Rooms are pretty good :-)
- Gregory (2/5): Not A 4 Star Hotel , More Like A Zero. - Atrocious. Dirty, rundown, smelly, gross room with a bathtub that didn’t drain. The bed was disguising & uncomfortable Slumlords treat their guests better . Not A 4 Star hotel , more like a Zero.
- David (8/5): - Front desk clerk was very helpful answering questions we had for local stores and closing times. Breakfast was very good but restaurant did not open until 8 am on a Saturday
- Wei BIn (7/5): -
- Dyanne (6/5): - Our room was located at the end of the hall, furthest from the elevator and beside the ice and drink machine.
Overall, the hotel needed a good scrubbing and a facelift. The furniture was worn, stained and out of date.
Breakfast in the restaurant was very good and the serving staff were friendly and accommodating.
The first 2 floors of the hotel housed permanent residents. They had assigned laundry times. The laundry room was not available the night we stayed there.
- mary lou (8/5): -
- Ernesto (5/5): -
- Donna (5/5): -
- Shelley (6/5): Decent for 1 night - Staff was excellent! The hotel and rooms could use some upgrades, but it was ok for 1 night passing through. Breakfast was also excellent.
- Karen (6/5): - The staff at the reception desk was very friendly. The bed linens were stained, I’m sure from over use. The bathroom had clean towels, however the corners by the tub was dirty as well as the fixtures on the sink.
- Rosanne (8/5): - Did a quick overnighter here. There was a pizza place within walking distance. The hotel was clean and the staff was great. Bathroom in the room could have been cleaned better. A little mold in the tub area. Probably needs an update. Beds were clean and comfortable. Bonus was the breakfast. We got a 15 voucher for the attached restaurant/bakery. Great food choices. Extra bonus. You could buy farm eggs, breads, cookies and numerous amazing desserts.
- Brain (10/5): - Floor in bathroom could be a bit cleaner
- Amanda (7/5): -
- Jean (10/5): - Great room, nice size and comfy becs. Quiet. Just a little négative here, the serve breakfast from 08:00…couldn’t use it (already left)
- Jeannette M (6/5): Nope - Room seemed like it had not been cleaned. The bedding was full of black lint… floor needed sweeping, the bathroom had three large spiders that we had to kill. Bathroom quite dated and didn’t seem very clean. The front doors of the hotel needed a deep clean on the outside.
- Céline (10/5): Très bien - Propre, facile d'accès, personnel professionnel Tout s'est bien déroulé
- Boyd (10/5): -
- sherry (8/5): - Check in easy. Staff pleasant and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast voucher provided from an attached café. Very tasty treats. I would recommend to others.
- LEE (9/5): It was just for one night - an enjoyable stay. - You get breakfast vouchers for the restaurant. Food as good The hotel isn’t visible from the street. You have to go through a shopping centre parking lot to see it on the right. Easy to miss.
- John (6/5): - No cable tv,had to goBiston pizza fir ball game.
Beds are very sqeeky and doors are very loud closing in early morning.
- marilyn (6/5): - Bathroom was not 100% clean in the corners
- Kelly (8/5): - I wasn’t expecting the hotel to be situated in a parking lot next to the town mall.
- Carolyn Tania (6/5): - Could really use updating.
Especially the bathroom.
The linen was yellowed with age mixed in with newer white.
Fabric Chairs could use to be changed as were well worn, and faded.
Overall very tired looking.
- Rick (6/5): - Very tired older hotel in need of major updates. Electrical outlet hanging out of the wall and only half of it working.
Staff were pleasant.
Would expect more for over $200 a night in off season.
Would not rebook here on our return trip home.
- Perry (6/5): - Not maintained
