Guest Reviews
- Jacque (2/5): - The worst part is when your neighbors are throwing things and are screaming
- KL (4/5): - The room was clean. NO microwave or coffee pot, Nothing to take a shower with. Heating was not good. It had a space heater for heat.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I had to cancel my stay there the day I was supposed to arrive and called up to cancel the room. They were very friendly and helpful with it. I've stayed there a few times now and like it. Close to town, friendly staff, family owned and run. Rooms are clean and it's close to town, nothing fancy but a nice place to stay.
- E (10/5): - It was a clean room, and for the price it was perfect. A mini fridge provided and not a lot of amenities but suitable for what was needed. Also within walking distance of our new favorite place the RBar!
- Tim (8/5): - It’s just a pretty nice place. Well pleased with everything.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - First room had fleas !! Beds were super small and microwave is dirty and old !! Tv is old and no remote !!
- Kenny (6/5): 2 1/2star - If your looking for inexpensive, place to crash your at the right place. Nothing fancy. They need to update the beds
- Vinson (6/5): - Everything you need to get some rest. Clean, quiet, everything worked as it should, and affordable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I liked it here. Sure it is an older property and it is not as pretty as some of the other motels but eh price is $45 instead of $79 I just wanted a room to spend the night and take a shower. It fit the bill for this and it was clean. They even have a fish cleaning station in the back and boat charging receptacles out front. Not a bad place for the money.
- steve (4/5): Don’t stay here. - Well for starters when i get there then have no record of my reservation. I had to show an email saying i made one. They had one room available. Sort of. Told me someone reserved it but wouldn’t be there until the next morning. So as long as i left early enough......like 6 am.....i could have the room. Also i reserved a room with 2 beds. I had my kids with me. The room i got was a one bed. Worst hotel experience I’ve had.
- Laura (10/5): Very nice place - Very nice place. Low price. We were given the cabin on the end which is nicely decorated with a (fake) fireplace and camo everything. Great little place. The decor really matched the small fishing/camping/hunting town. I would stay again and definately recommend to friends/family visiting.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Like taking a trip back in time. Everything was outdated including the 19" Sanyo tv. Heat was not working (had 2 space heaters in our room) to compensate. Smoke detector was missing and wires just hanging from the ceiling. No bathroom counter space at all. Shower was pitiful and the paint was peeling from the tub itself. Large hand soap dispenser mounted to the wall in the shower, literally no room to actually shower. Very small room, barely had room to open the bathroom door. Room was adjacent to another and believe me the walls are paper thin. They came in around 10:30 and loud as can be from the kids making noise to the baby crying. Cannot completely describe how bad this experience truly was.
- eric (2/5): Not a pleasant experience - The room itself was bare bones but clean. The trouble was, you could hear every noise outside. People talking, plumbing, dogs barking and the worst part was cigarette smoke drifting into the room! Horrid.
I won't stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Please Read Thoroughly & Know The Owner Is On Top Of This:
The only reason why I gave low marks was the previous occupant disabled the smoke alarm in this Non-Smoking room and smoked so heavily not airing out the room or spraying everything down with 2-cans of Febreze could get the smoke out. But the owner IS on top of this and has gone out of his way to make things right - We Will Be Back ! ! !
The room had a rustic old cabin feel to it which took me back to Wisconsin cabins by the lake, small but quaint and rustic. Had Cable TV, mini fridge, microwave, closet and bathroom with smallish shower stall (sorry, I'm 6'2" & ALL shower stalls are small). No phone, but in today's climate, everyone has a cell phone so we didn't miss it at all.
The room was PERFECT for just needing a place to sleep while taking advantage of what the Lake of the Ozarks has to offer.
WE Will Definitely Be Back ! ! !
- BARB (10/5): - Always nice for the price. Clean. Owner even brought Thanksgiving dinner for my husband!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Rustic - Loved the rustic look of the motel - will be back!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice place I would recommend it to my family and friends
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Liked the rustic country setting, there was a coffee pot but no coffee or filters, no soap or shampoo in bathroom, water in shower came out slow. Couple spiders. Air conditioning worked well
- Bev (8/5): - Did not smell bed was comfortable
Shower needs light
- Greg (8/5): - For the price it was nice. The rooms were clean with no bugs to be seen. The AC wasn't very cold. But I didn't see any mold. The TV was older than me, but there wasn't much on there to see. Once again the price was definitely right and the service was outta sight.
- Michael (8/5): - Just perfect If u are fishing out of Osage bluff clean and quiet
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice motel for the price
- Tammy (8/5): - Awesome friendly people, comfy, cozy & very quiet
- Stefanie (8/5): No complaints - For the price you just can't beat it. Clean, comfortable beds, cold ac, great location. We come here often for our fishing trips.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great for a night - The hotel was good, we just needed it to sleep one night. It was recently renovated. It was clean too. The only complaint is that they were partying late and the walls are very thin.
- Juan (10/5): Great Service!! - Excellent service. They gave us our rooms at 11am even though check in was not till 2pm... When there was a problem the problem was fixed immediately... rooms were clean, and comfortable.
- Peggy (8/5): - Cozy, quaint, clean, cabin-like decor, only thing missing was a coffee pot
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Wi-Fi included, but no password. TV included, but no sound (except next door). No chair, anywhere to sit down. Bed was unven, not too supportive., sitting up on plywood that stuck out. No white sheets, but had camo sheets. The price was very low, which was nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Older motel, alot of effort in making rustic upgrades. Probably not for "yuppies". Very quiet. Good value
- Nick (10/5): - The place was really nice. The room was clean and had everything we needed. I really liked the way the room was decorated. It's the perfect overnight place to stay when fishing around Truman Lake.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This was a good value for the price. It was very close to main highway and we could even get pizza delivered! Stayed here for a weekend of fishing. Perfect for meeting our needs!
- Michelle (10/5): - They need to do two things to make it better
Washing machine & dryer
Real Ice machine
Dounuts & coffee
So everyone can meet each other I went the to
Meet someone special but did not find him there
So came home Celebrated St Pat’s. I proved I was Real.
- Eileen (6/5): Little fishing cabin in the woods - The staff was very sweet and accommodating. The room was much smaller than expected so we upgraded to a cabin. Very quaint and close to Elks lodge and great restaurant with fantastic band. The bathroom was very cold so we didn’t use the shower. Would have liked coffee so bring your own pot!
- Layne (8/5): Buggy! - Stay was ok except for the cockroaches.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was excellent, people are so helpful and nice. The hotel so close to downtown.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Better than we expected for 45$ a day was in walking distance to restaurant we had wanted to try for years
- Midge (2/5): BAD BAD BAD - OLD NOISY AIR CONDITIONER OLD TV ROOM SMELLED LIKE SPRAY OWNER HAD PETS ROAMING AROUND ETC. CANT LIST ALL THEM.
- Christopher (8/5): Simple but clean, homey, and fairly priced - Excellent value for the price (especially as most motels just to the north were gouging guests due to the total eclipse on the following day). Spartan, but clean, with some homey regional touches. Also in a very scenic area at the northeast end of Lake of the Ozarks.
- Don (6/5): Two night stay--hardly in my room. - This motel is quite old and not in the greatest shape. It could use some spiffying up. The staff was friendly and my room was clean and the locale was perfect for my purposes but this wouldn't be the case for everyone.
- carroll (10/5): headwaters inn - good bang for the buck
- Sherri (10/5): Love this place. - I love older road side motels. I adored this one. The bed was so comfortable I slept for hours. We will only stay here when we pass through here again. The nearby restaurant was good and fun.
- Joseph Walter (8/5): ok - good
- Kermit (10/5): - It was a great little motel. Rooms are small but very good and very clean. Older motel but fixed up cute. Staff was super. Will definitely stay there again
- larry (6/5): once a year - clean everything worked except tv poor choice of programs..staff verynice people. will stay again.
- Todd (8/5): Great Old Style Motel - Great little out of the way vintage motel, very friendly and helpful staff, nice clean room that had all the essentials and was decorated nicely, and a quiet location. I spent a couple days there and was very pleased with it. Nice quiet location but not far off the highway, nothing fancy but a great room for a great price.
- Jack (10/5): Nice place to stay! - Clean and comfortable rooms, close to everything in Warsaw. Nice and quiet atmosphere, close to the water.
- Jack (6/5): "VERY" basic - Clean rooms with hardwood floors, but VERY small and nothing but two beds and a TV. No chairs, no table or desk. No phone. Not enough space for them. Small bathroom too, don't drop the soap in the shower, not enough room to bend over and pick it up! Very basic room, you get what you pay for. Nice people that run it, but won't be staying there again.
- Cierra (8/5): Rustic Motel - The owners are very nice. We stayes in the 2 cabins which is really one big building split in half. The rooms are connected but can be locked. Super thin walls though. Everything is very rustic, camouflage bed sheets and curtains, bottle opener in the bathroom. But everything was clean and well kept. There was a fridge and microwave. Coffee maker but no coffee. No toiletries at all except for hand soap. Large closet but no coat hangers. No ice maker, pool, or vending machines. Parking lot is unpaved and full of potholes. Would I stay there again? Absolutely. Is it 5 star? No. Area seemed safe. Local bar right down the street. Excellent bbq place up around the corner.
- Ellen (8/5): Relaxing motel in a good location - This simply decorated, rustic-looking motel had all the basic amenities like air conditioning and TV for a very good price and is very near downtown Warsaw, a charming small town in a scenic area. The beds were very comfortable and the staff cheerfully brought in a microwave and refrigerator upon request. We made good use of the picnic table outside to eat breakfast although there were at least a couple of restaurants in nearby Warsaw that also seemed to be good.
