• Michael (5/5): Kingston and the surrounding areas are very pleasant and well worth a visit, but we probably won’t be staying at this ho - The location is good and the staff helpful and polite. Far too expensive for what you get. The breakfast was adequate but with only a small selection of healthy options. There was also a broken floor tile in our bathroom.

• Margarita (8/5): Returning customers - Decoration of corridors and room, nice exterior design, friendly staff, quiet hotel, very warm, feels very safe, great location. Clean everywhere, nice breakfast/restaurant room. Breakfast poor and only until 09:30 on weekdays. Should be open for longer. I am a returning customer, breakfast is poorer, used to be better. No individual yogurts, no nutella spread, less variety of sweets, of cheeses and cold cuts, no pancakes, poor variety of eggs. Double Tree should have better and richer breakfast buffet. Room service only if you ask in advance. We didnt want to be disturbed before noon so we had no cleaning service which is restricting.

• Susan (9/5): Excellent hotel in an ideal location, definitely stay again. - Loved the location of hotel, minutes from the centre of Kingston and close to the bus stop for Heathrow. Very quiet and a lovely breakfast. Also the cookie on arrival was so good. As we were only staying two nights there wasn’t housekeeping and so coffee and milk was not replenished.

Buffet breakfast was most enjoyable. All things considered it was an enjoyable stay. Having to actively opt in for room service doesn't really go with the standard of hotel - it should be actively opt out. Bed mattress a little hard for us both

• Selvambikai (4/5): Other than the location, it was not good. - Location * The room size is too small. * No fridge * Very small cupboard for a twin room. * Construction work for the whole day - was so disruptive to work from the hotel room. * Construction workers right outside our window all day. So we had to keep the curtains closed at all times with no day light. * I requested room cleaning on daily basis - but this was not done. We have to take the rubbish out to the street bins. * We requested for clean coffee mugs, but this was also not given for coouple of days, so we had to go down to get it from the restaurant to make coffee. * It's definitely not value for money.

• Lorna (4/5): Below average - Hotel was clean. Disappointed by scaffolding being outside the windows and windows were covered by plastic sheeting. Pillows were too soft.
• Anna (7/5): - Noise level: we stayed on the 4th floor in a family room. It felt like we were opposite a nightclub. On asking staff about this the following morning we were told it related to a party in the hotel function room and that guests were meant to be allocated to higher floors. Due to our later check in, level 4 was the lowest they could allocate us.
• Tasha (6/5): It wa wa birthday treat, I wouldn’t stay again unless the facilities improved to be honest even though the location was - Very convenient for town centre such a short walk to shops and river It wasn’t as clean as I had hoped, when we got there we went up to our room, there were lots of piles of dirty laundry in the corridor on the way to the room as well as dirty plates and cups outside doors. It looked like they were still tidying up the rooms however we arrived at 15:30 and I would have hoped by then considering check out was 11 that the corridors were clean, or alternatively we weren’t allocated a room on the floor where they were still cleaning. We also did not have enough towels in our room for 2 people. We used the shower in the evening and morning and both times the shower floor overfilled and water was running into the bathroom floor - it appeared the water didn’t drain fast enough which was a shame because the shower was lovely just wasn’t able to stay in longer than a couple of minutes before the water flooded the floor. It also got really hot in room even at the temperature they had set as standard, we turned it down but were really relieved when we left for some fresh air as it felt really stuffy !
