- Isabella (1/5): Keine Empfehlung.Keine Ruhe, ungepflegt.

- rr (8/5): Good and convenient place to stay for a holiday - Breakfast was not an option at the hotel the Bidet shower in the bathroom needs to be fixed
- ThivankaV (8/5): Antique Bungalow stay in Nuwaraeliya - There was a nice young gentleman who was looking after the property who was very attentive and available when we needed him. The place had an antique vibe with some history about its roots. Room was very spacious with two twin beds and two floors within a single room. It also had a mini fridge so we could easily store our beverages without much trouble. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. The rooms could benefit from heaters and more blankets to reduce the discomfort from the cold weather. The property could have provided an option to buy in house meals at an extra cost so we could order something and eat if we were not able to travel outside due to bad weather.
There was a little complication with the fee but it was discussed and resolved asap with the owner of the property.
- Kaustav (6/5): Pleasant -
- Saif (7/5): Overall, good place to stay when making a quick stopover in Nuwara Eliya. - Very classic and rustic feel to the property! Bedroom was very spacious and had 2 beds and a small lounge area which was very cosy. There was quite a few stains on the bed but thankfully it was on the other bed! Still made the room feel less clean. The bathtub was also very dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. They have a separate shower so not a massive issue but again makes it overall feel less clean.
- Chaminda (10/5): A nice calm clean place. - It was a great calm place. It was very clean and the staff were also very supportive and kind. Really worth the price.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Vishmitha (9/5): Superb -
- Vishmitha (9/5): 3500LKR was way too expensive for a cooking chargers for a meal. ( Without ingredients) - Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable Rooms.
- Shraddha (1/5): Bad - Terrible, no food at the property or arrangements to order food. When you come out of your room there is no caretaker also to assist with kettle, towel anything. We left the room in few hours and went to another hotel
- Robert (5/5): Could have been better - The property and room looked nice, and the staff was eager to help. The location is rather central. The experience could have been much better with some fine tuning. We did not receive keys to the exterior doors so the staff called us every night to ask what time we would return. It was a little disruptive. Also, some towels and bedding were stained. Breakfast is not available so we had to go out on a holiday to search for it ourselves. We brought it back to the property, and the staff made us a pot of tea upon our request (since no one was selling any due to the holiday). We assumed it was included in our stay, but as we were leaving the following day the staff came chasing after us for the 570 lkr we apparently owed. Not a big deal, but a fitting end to our mediocre experience.
- Brage (6/5): Cheap for wallet, bad for sleep. - Sentral location There was only a normal door separating the rooms, making the isolation between the rooms almost nonexistent. Couple next to us went to bed at around 2Am. Right between a moské and a Church, competing between waking us up at 4.45 and 6 in the morning, so we had about 2 hours of good sleep.
- Denis (9/5): if you really want to enjoy colonialist vibes 🔥 -
- Andrei (8/5): Very good -
- Pedram (6/5): Not safe... - Well let me start with this, unfortunately weve got robbed in there... we dint come to know till we get to ella, the reason was that whom ever who robbed us took small portion of our cash but from everyone... i dont know it was their staff or someone from outside but even if it was from outside! Means they are soooo careless and they need to be more precise about their place and its safety, this was my second time in this place and first time place was way more maintained and clean but this time it wasnt as much... anyway be carefull if u wanna go there
Beside that... place is beautifulĺll, rooms are spacious and house is heart warming, management not at all
- Emily (9/5): Superb - Best place to stay in Nuwara Eliya! Amazing rooms in a very cool old building for a great price. We loved our stay there.
- Malinda (9/5): Splendid 👌 - Cozy and very calm place. Walking distance to the town. Comfortable beds and plenty of space. Having a billiard table is definitely amazing. Really enjoyed staying at here and will be definitely back again. Loved it ❤️👌 I would suggest to add a suitable multi-plug connector in the room.
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nitin (8/5): Very good - Location, interior should have doors for upper room so other couple can use in twin bedroom
- Jayan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (10/5): Fantastic stay, highly recommend - Super clean , comfy and relaxing room. Staff was lovely ! Maybe to provide breakfast at an additional cost but that’s not major , I wouldn’t change anything about the property!
- Edirisinghe (9/5): Superb -
- Sarabjit (8/5): Bungalow Nuwara Eliya - The property is well maintained and very nice. The stairs in the room are a bit uncomfortable.
- John (7/5): Good - Location good. Manager helpful. Spacious. Promised toiletries, coffee weren't there and not supplied even when mentioned.
Stair treads were not flat. On an angle which made them awkward to navigate.
- Asanga_s (8/5): Very good -
- Jeyan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thangamuthu (8/5): It’s a nice and elegant English styled property and all furniture are antique - English styled and Location with loft bedrooms Nil
- Thangamuthu (8/5): It’s a nice property with good location (City just a minute walking) - It’s a well maintained English style property They are charging for kitchen uses for self cookings
- Fazeel (7/5): Good -
- Ariyawansha (9/5): Superb - Rooms were so clean, comfy and with proper ventilation. Thomas was a really nice guy. He helped us a lot to make our stay so good. Parking is available for one vehicle only but luckily we were able to use it. There's no facility to make BBQ, The heaters are not working.
- Anine (10/5): Beautiful, historic hotel with great location! - Amazing location and beautiful house! It felt like stepping into a museum! The beds had duvets which is a huge bonus in the colder mountain climate! Wifi worked really well in our room as well! The owner also left his number for us when he had to make short trips out of the hotel so that we could reach him if we needed anything. Nothing.
- Hedda (8/5): Very good -
- Nickolas059 (10/5): Exceptional - Family room is amazing 😍 spent time like an English Lord :) Unbelievable experience Didn't find any good restaurant nearby so think in advance and order food while you are away.
- Robert2u (9/5): Superb -
- Praveen (9/5): Nice luxury stay - Good colonial style bungalow. Luxurious. Washroom could have been cleaner
- Gamini (8/5): Very good -
- Mircea (9/5): Superb - Nice cozy place, old bungalow very nice maintained
- Emily (8/5): Loved the property and location. We ate out in the local food cafes near the bungalow - cheap and cheerful! - Great family room and superb location for exploring Nur Eliya. Lots of character in the property. It felt a little bit like we were under a curfew as the guard went home once we were in each night.
- Georgi (7/5): you get what you pay for - Good value for money. The property is very close to the mosque and chances are one may wake up when they start broadcasting the morning prayer.
- Philippe (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (10/5): Everything was perfect, the place is very nice, clean and authentic. -
- Manon (3/5): Poor - The guy who was taking care of us was nice and super available The room was so humid, some water was pouring from the floor
- Fiona (7/5): Good -
- Thanigasalam (9/5): It was very nice experience - They were very nice and helpful Nothing
- Andrew (5/5): Passable -
- Pei (10/5): Really enjoy - Beautiful inside and comfortable. Good location! Love it!
- Emiliano (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): A lovely bungalow that takes you back to the colonial days. - Fabulous old restored bungalow, beautiful antiques and period photographs. Very friendly and helpful staff. No restaurant or bar. The care take was super nice and would be happy to make breakfast, but not a traditional restaurant. More a fancy guesthouse.
- Malaka (8/5): Very good -
- Nikita (8/5): Very good - Such a nice place, it looks very beautiful. Enjoying the hot bathtub was awesome. There's a hot eater dispenser in the room, it was great too. The heater plug doesn't match to any sockets in the room so it was quite cold outside the hot bathtub.
- Phy (1/5): Horrible - Promod is a very friendly guy manager gave us wrong room. We booked 2.5 floor room but it was occupied by other guests. A switch the day after would have been possible, but senseless for a stay with 2 nights...
WiFi: terrible and NOT available in the rooms, only in the lobby.
Lights: more then 50% without function
Cleanliness: horrible - See pictures
- Terence (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly staff with high quality of service.
Clean and well maintained room.
- Sergei (9/5): Superb - It is a very beautiful colonial-style house in the heart of the city. The room was very comfortable and pleasant. It was a pleasure to spend time here. Also, there is an excellent pub very close by where you can drink fresh draft beer and have a nice meal. The house has a patio and space next to the entrance, but they are now empty. It would be cool if the owners would put tables and sofas and things like that there so you could hang out there, smoke, drink coffee, etc.
- Nina (10/5): Colonial hotel with a nice atmosphere of a bygone era. - Colonial hotel with a nice atmosphere of a bygone era. Rooms are huge, fitted with lovely traditional timber furniture, beds are big and super comfortable. Shower with hot water and good pressure, there is even a bath. Towels and bath robes provided. The staff is very professional. They set the little heater in our room that was adequate to keep the big double level room very cosy. Great Sri lankan breakfast. There is a billiard table that was a huge hit with our family!
- Daria (10/5): Exceptional - So many good things about the property was a very pleasant stay! Staff were lovely and always happy to help us, quickly. The breakfast was good and always a safe bet for lunches or a quick dinner. The location is the old city centre so you might need some sort of vehicle
- Lakmali (6/5): Pleasant - Location is central and value for money. The caretaker was very helpful. Very large rooms. Generally well maintained. The room was too large (perhaps as they have family rooms) and the one we stayed was the first room that had a long large area with TV, cupboard mirror etc and 2 large beds in another area. Will be good to have some kind of separation/partition so the heaters will be more effective in the bed area.
- Shashini (8/5): Very good -
- Jess (10/5): Great stay! - Everything was great!
Huge rooms that were very clean
Nice to have a bath
Pool table to use
All the facilities we needed in a great location
Host was very helpful and friendly. Wifi could be improved
- Vigneswaran (9/5): Superb -
Mycket bra service i övrigt!
- Kirsty (10/5): Lovely authentic bungalow. - We stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 4 in the middle of January 2017. The family room is extremely spacious, the upstairs area has a queen bed and a very quaint sitting area-the downstairs area has another queen bed and a large clean bathroom. The stand out feature of this hotel is the manager Raja, he is extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. He helped us organise a day trip to Horton's Plains with only one days notice and he packed a delicious breakfast for us to take on the tour. He cooked a magnificent breakfast for us on our last day-included in the price of the room. It is only a short walk to the town centre or a $2 tuk tuk ride to the Grand Hotel area. We would highly recommend this hotel.
- Chuay Sia (8/5): New, clean room - Nice colonial building with a touch of luxury. Great Sri Lankan dinner prepared by in-house Chef.
