Guest Reviews
- vijayakumar (8/5): - Breakfast and Dinner included plan and both of them were good.
Restaurant staff were very kind and caring.
Location is very close to Tomamu mountain view. insects were found inside the room.
Don`t know why but Hotel did not allow us to use A/C during our stay in April
Was bit expensive compared with other hotels in Muroran, Otaru, and Shin-Chitose areas.
- B (7/5): - Walking distance to great restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice window and view. Only one cup provided and no plates and bowls in our room.

The dinner was surprisingly good and free shuttle to Tomamu ski resort was great.

- Sam (7/5): This is an ideal place to stay when wanting to enjoy resort facilities on a budget with easy transportation from the tra - Chose this property due to its affordability and proximity to the Hishino Tomamu ski resort. It’s not luxurious by any stretch but very functional, clean, and with friendly staff that works hard to please. Meals were good (Japanese fare) and transportation was great. Temperatures were well below zero Celsius but room was warm with very comfortable bedding. Bathroom (private) was cramped but functional. Had to search for outlets to plug in devices for charging.
- nickson (9/5): - Cozy
- Kwan On (10/5): - Good location and have a short drive to Tomamu Resort for watching the cloud sea in early morning No
- kazuya (8/5): -
- thitikorn (9/5): gld to be here - good seveice and location none
- Belinda (6/5): Overall is OK except the room for 2. - OK We booked 4 rooms : three rooms are on different floor, the rooms has loft where you have to climb up the stairs and is not suitable for elderly; but the worse is the room for 2 is not on the main building (which was not stated on the booking details), it's on a different building across the road. According to the 2 who lived there, the condition is bad.

- takashi (5/5): -
- Celine (8/5): Very good - Older installations
- Mel (8/5): Very good -
- Pau (8/5): Very good - Big room.
Friendly staff.
Free shuttle bus service to Tomamu resort.
Nutritious breakfast available.
- Kathryn (9/5): Superb -
- Kristie (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (7/5): Cheap and property quality reflects this. Quite old, staff were good, OK stay for a pretty good $. -
- Yosina (8/5): Very good -
- Esther (8/5): We lived the staff, the Japanese style room was fantastic, and the sauna was exceptional. - We loved the Nepalese staff, Japanese style room, and sauna! The ripped shower curtain that was held together by tape, and the meat heavy dinner menu.
- Matthew (10/5): Thankyou - awesome breakfast !!! very kind helpful staff. nothing , it was great
- Craig (9/5): Lovely staff, great rooms, convenient shuttle bus. - The Sauna was absolutely amazing- recommend.
Staff were great. No complaints
- Andy (8/5): A nice accommodation alternative if visiting Tomamu ski resort. - A nice accommodation alternative if you are visiting Tomamu ski resort and want a more value for money stay. Not a lot of services in Tomamu town so we ended up eating at the hotel restaurant, which was Gengis Khan. The cabin was spacious enough for 5 people for our 1 night stay, but for a longer stay somewhere larger might be needed (especially with all of our snow gear).
- John (6/5): Handy to Tomamu. Ō - Just a few minutes to Tomamu slopes , parking on-site and shuttle bus. Breakfast was set menu and adequate. Close to a couple of local restaurants , train station and freeway exit . Cubicle bathroom was freezing cold. You could not enter without slippers. No drying room for ski gear. Whole place was a bit tired.
- David (8/5): Good location, warm & comfortable - Great location 5 minutes drive to resort, shuttle bus if you want. Clean & warm,
Friendly staff, good Japanese breakfast, plenty of parking. Also you can go to Club Med wave pool and Onsen if you wish. Meal choice very limited, no shops local but there is a microwave you can use plus you have a fridge in your room, drying room heating not always running.
- David (9/5): Great location & very comfortable - Great location, warm , comfortable, good Japanese breakfast. Limited meal choice, drying room
- Murray (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sergey (9/5): Superb -
- Brian (7/5): Good - Quiet neighbourhood Lack of convenience stores in the area
- Ping (8/5): Very good -
- Lip (6/5): Pleasant -
- Siew (7/5): Good -
- Kok (5/5): Just a good location - Location, easy to access Facilities
- Palepa (7/5): Good - Shuttle to and from ski field was great and ample time slots to pick. Breakfast was pretty good. Staff were great, very kind and helpful, picked us up from our bus on arrival. Main issue was the smell from the drains which permeated the hotel..
more facilities would have been appreciated - tea making facility/onsen/drying room.
- Huifang (7/5): Good - There's a shuttle bus to the ski field, the bus driver was very helpful 👍. The hotel doesn't offer luggage storage after check-out which causes some trouble for us.
- Brenton (10/5): A fantastic Japanese experience - Friendly staff, delicious meals, great location, comfortable Nothing-all round excellent
- Peter (8/5): Comfortable, friendly and good location. - Location not far from Tomamu station and not far from ski fields. Hotel shuttle transports back and forth. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Rooms were basic but comfortable. Initial communication with hotel was very poor, they appear not to check messages until day before. See attached shuttle timetable to assist with planning.
- Nichapun (9/5): Superb -
- Gary (10/5): They took great care of my family. Food was great, plentiful and loved our stay. Took care of everything for us. Wonderf - Staff and food and atmosphere
- Zhisen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Guit (7/5): Good -
- Mary (6/5): Pleasant -
- Samantha (7/5): Good -
- Soonkeow (1/5): Bad - Nothing Room is smelly
- Mohchye (8/5): Nice and clean accomodation which is close to Hosihno Resort and Unkai Terrace - We book this place it is probably the only place close to the gondola leading to the Unkai Terrace and could accomodate a family of 5 pax at that time. We have a house to ourselves and splitted into 2 levels. The 2nd level is actually an attic which doesn't have much head room. Everything is quite clean and there's only an aircon blowing the whole house. There is a small restaurant within walking distance called Shinta which serves pretty good Japanese BBQ. It's quite pricey for a place which provide basic amenities but we have no choice as that is the only place we could book. There is not much thing to do in that town. Basically the location only has a small restaurant and another hotel that offers Clamping.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Siew (4/5): Disappointing -
- Peck (7/5): Good for a short stay on our way to Tomamu. - Location No lift nor ramp access. Even the rooms on the ground floor are on the top of some stairs.
- Abby (9/5): Will stay here again - Staffs were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was cooked at your time of request and is more than what we expected in quality and quantity. The location is great in terms of getting to the unkai terrace, but there's only a few restaurants around You need to carry your luggage and take the stairs to your room.
- Mei (7/5): Good - The front desk desk wants to help, but not good at customer service commission skill.
Other Nepalese staffs are friendly and helpful.
- Ken (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (10/5): Fantastic, the staff was wonderful and extremely helpful - Clean , lovely atmosphere, good food . always on time with their booked buses. nil
- Alannah (3/5): If you're coming to ski, pay the money to stay somewhere else - The meal provided on-site at an extra charge was tasty and you can sit around a fireplace in the dining area. The room was spacious for the two of us and we had somewhere quite to lay our heads down at night. Hotel Gracey/Graysee unfortunately wasn't what we expected. With limited accommodation options left for our travels in Tomamu we now wish we paid a little extra and stayed somewhere else. We came to Tomamu to ski and picked this place for its free shuttle service. We messaged the property 3 days, 2 days and on the day we were due to arrive across multiple platforms and received no response. We ended up having to hire a car to get to the property. Our non-smoking room smelt, the beds in the loft had been used by previous guests and were unchanged, the heating was turned off leaving the room cold and the lights are off at 9 pm so you have to navigate the long corridors in the dark. The accommodation is overpriced considering they leave a bag on the door for fresh linen so be expected to change it yourself. Unfortunately, this property, for us, put more effort into selling a 10kg bag of potatoes than they did in responding to concerns about our room.
- Zahar (9/5): Near Tomamu Resort and Ungkai Gandola. Place is over priced. - Hotel is clean. Since there is not much option cheap option in Tomamu, this is the only hotel that we can afford. Location is good. View is nice. Staff is helpful This place is over priced. Maybe it is the only available motel in Tomamu other than Hoshino Resort and Club Med.
- Van (8/5): Very good -
- Foon (3/5): Poor - Room is clean
Lighting is good 1) No lift to carry our luggage to 2nd floor.
2) no aircon in the room only portable heater, humidifier and fan in Japanese language so i have to figure out how to operate.
3) being assigned to room which about 100m away from main building. No staff service onsite at night so unable to request for addition pillows to have proper support of our nech and shoulder.
4) pillow is too small then regular size and too low profile unable to support our nech and shoulder so couldn't sleep throughout the night due to aching.
5) bed frame is too small for two persons.
- Molly (5/5): Passable -
- Yoshi (4/5): - This is just an average hotel room - definitely nothing fancy or exceptional. What we did find extremely disappointing was someone else's food still in the refrigerator and someone else's hair on the walls of the shower. There was one pleasant surprise - a very nice Japanese breakfast the morning of our checkout. However, if we have the choice, we will not stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to restort - Not many good outlet around the accommodation. The breakfast was good.
- Mei Chu Brenda (4/5): -
- Lam Hock (8/5): Slightly overprice hotel. - The hotel was good and clean except it was a bit far from Tomamu Hoshino resort if you are not travelling by car. The rate was a bit on the high side for a 3 star hotel.
- irene (6/5): - very old hotel, everything inside the room is old.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Just nice for 3 person - We were here late at night and left early in the morning. Room was just nice for 3 person. However the linens at the loft area are dirty and don’t look like it had been changed. There’s no air conditioning in room and there will be bug flying in if we open the window. So it is quite stuffy in room at the middle of the night. The location is convenient for the unkai at clubmed. About 15mins drive.
- Edmund (4/5): A real Budget Hotel with no airconditioning - Very simple Budget Hotel. No airconditioning thought remembering it was stated as aircon. Asked fir extra pillow but was given a cushion. Only plus point, the dinner was acceptable
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Old and smelly hotel. No lift, u need lift up your laggue to upper floor. The breakfast is very simple.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Mountain villa style... - This place is specialized(?) for skiers, and It may be a bit awkward for others. It, however, is well-maintained and staffs are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5):
- Eugenia (4/5): Basic family style hotel - Tomamu is a place of concentrated development - all the activities in Hoshino, Tower, Alpha Village, Club med (all in same area of the ski, gondola activity
JR Train station is a secluded station with no JR ticket station n no heater.
Once u alighted from train, just take the so-called free shuttle (Guest only bus by Hoshino / Tower/ Alpha village ) to spend your day if u arrived before 3pm (unable to check in Petit hotel).
Breakfast at hotel is okay.
Dinner wise please have at Main activity area (Hoshino/tower area) . If not, please try to see if u can make eArlier reservation.
If not the dinner at hotel only have bbq (mainly lamb meat, n few little pieces of chicken) - not nice (poor marination).
Staff average quite friendly but does not feel the true sincerity nor service.
Realised many did not post in detail n hope this review allow no one to be stranded in a -9 degree celsius at the station.
- WAI LING (8/5): Save money choice - Staff is helpful. Restaurant BBQ food okay
- LIU (4/5): Noisy Room - Was given a room next to staircase and noisy throughout including night time. Not able to get good rest.
- CGB (8/5): If you not driving, train station is very far away - We arranged for pick up at the Tomamu station. The hotel is beautiful and looks at a hotel in Switzerland. There is facilities for rafting in a nearby river.
We stayed for a night and have a delicious table BBQ dinner.
Unless you drive, the Tomamu JR train station is about 20 minutes away. The place is quiet and cosy. The owner and staff are very friendly.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Old and smelly room, no elevator - Very old and smelly room - our clothes smelled like an old ashtray after staying there.
Also, there's no elevator and many stairs to go up to get to your room, so this is problematic for anyone with back issues.
- batty (2/5): Bad experience , lost money in the hotel room! - We lost 40 k JPY in the hotel room ! Ridiculous! We have to been to japan more than 20 times . It's never happened! Btw, this hotel owner isn't japanese!
