- Hana (9/5): - Beautiful place in a quiet area. A little out of the way but worth the trip. Food was delicious and staff were so attentive and pleasant to interact with.

- Thanh Huyen (10/5): Wonderful Ryokan - A few weeks ago we stayed at this Ryokan. We stayed here for one night. We actually wanted to stay 2 nights but they were fully booked. After travelling alot, it was nice to have a day full of relaxation. We had 2 baths in our room and we truly enjoyed it.
The kaiseki was delicious as well! We were really full. The people at Yukimurasaki were so nice and kind as well. I sadly do not know the name of the elder lady, but Chiawei was really kind to us and she saw us off when we left for the bus station. Service was really on point! Would love to come back here someday!
- Rosalind (10/5): Unique and beautiful hot spring accommodation - We had a magical stay at this special accommodation. It’s a bus ride away from Takayama, but the bus ride had some of the most spectacular views of the countryside. When we arrived we had the warmest welcome from the lovely staff. Our room was immaculately clean, with a balcony overlooking the mountains and two of our very own hot spring baths! We booked to use the rooftop baths, in the evening and first thing in the morning, both were beautiful. Dinner was a traditional Japanese meal, served by friendly staff. A lot of the food was new to us, but we enjoyed trying it all, it had clearly been carefully prepared. Breakfast was the same again. I wish we had been able to stay for longer but our schedule was so busy. Don’t miss staying here! We loved chatting to the staff member who checked us in, I hope she sees this and knows how much we appreciated meeting her.
- Ostap (10/5): Idyllic onsen experience in Okuhida - One of the best experiences we had during the trip across Japan. Onsens were hot and refreshing, the dining experience is extraordinary. Everything was clean, with plenty of quiet given how remote the location is.
You get a great view of the mountains and access to main attractions via bus services. Some parts of the hotel could benefit from a renovation but it doesn’t ruin the experience.
- Stefano (9/5): WONDERFUL - Wonderful place , really authentic with a nice service and kind people! Room was giant Bit expensive for the type of building, a bit old

Nada
- Florian (9/5): -
- Gemma VH (8/5): Una bona experiència als banys privats exteriors!
- Yusef (10/5): - Yukimurasaki was very peaceful and a beautiful mountain get away. The food was amazing and well cooked. The onsen was clean and the water was amazing on the skin. It’s a bit far away from takayama city, but i guess that’s the point !
- Anselmi (9/5): -
- JUAN MANUEL (9/5): -
- Dilini (9/5): Highly recommended - We had a wonderful experience at Yukimurasaki. The service was excellent from start to finish and everything was handled professionally and efficiently. A special mention goes to Tangerine at reception, who was incredibly welcoming, friendly and attentive.
- DEIVIDAS (10/5): Calm and relaxing retreat - Breakfast was very good, you get to taste a wide variety of japanese dishes being presented to you in small batches. In my room there were one indoor and one outdoor onsens. Spring water was too hot for me as is so i had to leave some tap water running to make the temperature fine for me. The rooftop onsen was the highlight of my stay and the reason for my booking. Do note that you will have to make 2 reservations for the 2 different rooftop onsens (one with rocks around it and one with wood) and if you come late for the check-in, your options for choosing times that are good for you might be already taken by other guests. Nothing in particular
- Garo (10/5): Experience of a lifetime - Everything was just perfect. The private Onsen on the balcony, the Onsen on the rooftop, the food, the traditional room — all perfectly well orchestrated.
- Nino (4/5): - Receptionist made a good job. Long ago it was probably a nice hotel, but those times are gone. Everything is well used. No maintenance work is done. There was no hot water neither in a public bath, nor in a private room. Keiseki dinner was served by a person who doesn't care about client. Food itself although looked pretty, was a supermarket quality. Very disappointing experience
- Sandra (9/5): -
- Iuliia (10/5): Lovely stay. It totally worth money and time to get there! - Room private baths are awesome! Service is great. Evening and morning meal is delicious. Roof top baths are also great as you could reserve one or both for 40 minutes each. It was one of the best stays in my entire life! Such a chilly atmosphere, peaceful place and great hotel staff. Location. I mean it’s totally fine for the natural hot spring to be far away from big cities and so on. We arrived by bus. Although the hotel is placed right near the bus stop, it took 1.5 hours to get there from Takayama. It would be easier with a car or a taxi.

- Grace (10/5): -
- Brittany (10/5): - A great experience for our first stay at a Ryokan, extremely helpful staff, even helped us after our stay to get to Kyoto!
- Marciano Fabio (10/5): - Personally I liked the location, a short drive trough the Japanese Alps, arriving in a cosy traditional location really did it for us. From the private breakfast/diner booth, to our private open air hot spring bath, we liked it alot! The room was really clean, and the staff was so amazingly friendly! The only small negative thing we had was about our pillows. I like hard pillows but these were even to hard for me...
- Benedetta (10/5): -
- Wing Yee Pian (10/5): Wonderful ! - Quiet environment , very friendly and helpful receptionist, in door and out door onsen in room. There are 2 onsens available to book for private use as well. Nothing
- Suet Ching (9/5): -

- Riley :) (10/5): Excellent Ryokan Stay - Our stay at Yukimurasaki was delightful, the location is excellent and the private onsens (as well as the rooftop ones) were just incredible. We stayed for 2 nights and were able to eat 2 different breakfasts and dinners, all the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly despite us speaking very little japanese.
Tangerine (one of the receptionists) was incredible and we could not recommend her services more. Her English was fantastic and she was very kind and helpful for local recommendations.
12/10 No notes!
- Richard (10/5): We only stayed 1 night and regretted it. The onsens in the room (yes there are 2) were so convenient. The open air onse - The outdoor onsen on the roof were amazing in the snow.
- Ryan (10/5): Fantastic stay and value considering private and rooftop onsen and extravagant meals. - Views and onsen (both private and rooftop) were fantastic.
Meals were huge and a lot of effort was clearly put into preparation, although some dishes were challenging to my western palate.
Tangerine was an incredible host - very friendly and helpful! Wood around the private onsen showing age - but reasonable considering hot mineral water is splashing over the deck 24/7. Some slippery spots could be mitigated.
- Darren Fong (10/5): -
- ai (10/5): -
- Zahra (10/5): Both the location as well as the hotel were truly unforgettable and exceeded our expectations! - Incredible location with views that were simply stunning. There were some marks/stains on the floor in our room, however, the room still felt very clean.

- HUI YUAN (10/5): The staffs were amazing. The onsen & the dinning experience were excellent. -
- Deniz (8/5): - Our host was very helpful, kaiseki dinners were amazing. The private baths in the room and bookable shared rooftop baths were great. Overall a very peaceful hotel, recommended. Nothing major, but the hotel shows some signs of aging, needs a bit of maintenance and upkeep. The room air conditioning left the room very dry and not comfortable to sleep, I would recommend updating the A/C system or at least providing a humidifier.
- Samantha (10/5): Relaxing onsen and wonderful food - Very scenic bus ride from Takayama, takes about 1.5 hr. The hotel is older but still very comfortable. We had a private onsen with our room but you can also reserve the roof top onsen for 40 minutes for private use. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Felt like a very authentic Japanese experience. We stayed one night but would recommend two for exploring the gorgeous natural beauty of the area. AC didn’t work
- Mark (9/5): Relaxing, stress free, and warm - We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely love to come back. The staff and our host made the stay very enjoyable. Big shout out to our host Tangerine, who was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful during our stay, made the entire stay very worry free. We loved everything about our stay , however this is only a concern regarding the building itself. In our room there was a water leak in the wall towards the end of our stay. During this time a heavy storm had come in. The water dripping through definitely was from the storm. There was also a noticeable was spot above the beds. This is not a complaint but a concern. We’d love to be able to come back in the future
- Cole (10/5): Phenomenal trip, our host Tangerine was amazing and the balcony baths were gorgeous -
- Edoardo (8/5): - The staff is incredibly nice and I love the onsen on the terrace .. something you only see in a movie... Some areas could be more clean but I guess it was the middle of the winter...
- Thing Fang (9/5): Superb and I will definitely stay here again! - Everything, the private onsen, the food, the hospitality and the sceneries. Nothing.
- Anna (5/5): -
- Mee Keong (7/5): Food is great, room is big and comfort. - Onsen in the room is great The windows of indoor onsen in my room are spoiled and there are lots of mold
- Francesco (10/5): - Esperienza incredibile, cibo, struttura e personale attenti ai minimi dettagli.
Consigliatissimo.
- SAMIR (9/5): -
- Matthew (9/5): Excellent. Highly recommend for relaxing onsen experience - Very authentic onsen experience. Fantastic kaiseki food. Comfortable. Staff very helpful. Location is quiet which is nice but a little far from nearby attractions
- YouWei (10/5): -
- Yingyu (9/5): Tangerine, the hotel manager, provided excellent service and assistance during our stay. - We love the Japanese breakfast! The place is further from the city of Takayama than we expected, but the excellent facility made up for it. The location is quite far from the city itself. The bus ride to and from the city is about an hour and half from the train station.
- Sasha Daiana (10/5): Maravilloso - Todo.
- Chris (8/5): Very good traditional ryokan with relaxing onsen and great food - The location was far from town but that was actually nice. The onsen in and outside the room were very relaxing once I learned how to cool the near-boiling water. The breakfast and dinner were traditional Japanese and we’re on the minimal side but delicious and satisfying. The futon mats to sleep on were thin and fairly worn out. We ended up stacking 3 or 4 of them our second night which helped a lot. The pillows were terrible and felt like a bag of pebbles. I realize it was a traditional Japanese style ryokan room but it was much less comfortable than I thought for the price
- Joshua (1/5): Worst placd to stay in Japan. Please read my google review and see the reply and make your judgement -

- btscott12 (9/5): Breathing life back into a traveler’s bones !!! - Old Ryokan style that was perfect after a long 3 week journey of Japan. The onsen was revitalising and rejuvenating that I lost hours and hours in it while watching the mountain snow cap and autumn season I full bloom. The onsen was on the top floor was breath taking underneath the stars and I had it all to myself. Tangerine, the host was most welcoming and went over and above compared to my other stays in Japan. He provided excellent service and pro-tip for travel plan for my next part of the journey. The food was simple but yet amazing with full of flavors that simplistic. Excellent place to hide in the wilderness and experiencing what Japan was before its modernisation…
- Ida (10/5): We needed rest and that is what we got. I’m so happy that i chose this place! - The food was amazing, rooms were beautiful, service was flawless, every detail was as we wanted.
- Mihai (9/5): We wanted a special Onsen experience and it delivered. - Each room has it’s own onsen bath!
- Janet (7/5): A little too rustic and remote for us! - The meals were well prepared. The concierge was extremely helpful. The restaurant staff was unfriendly and not very accommodating.
No coffee provided.
Rooms were very sparse.
Shower was cold.
The hot springs were very good.
- Hemalatha (10/5): Amazing ryokan in the mountains - Absolutely loved everything about this ryokan. It is located in an absolutely exceptional location. The room was very spacious. Loved the tatami mats throughout. The food was some of the best we had in all of Japan. The private onsens in the room were wonderful. We also got to enjoy their roof top onsen. Last but not the least we had the best and friendliest hotel concierge Ms. Tangerine who was literally the best.
- Laura (10/5): Breath-taking & beauiful!! - Tangerine was an incredible host—her communication was excellent, and she continued to help us even after we had checked out.
The room itself was beautiful and breathtaking, and the rooftop onsen at night was truly unforgettable.
We absolutely loved our stay and only wish we had booked one more night.
- Monika (7/5): Great onsen with amazing view - Relaxing onsen with beautiful view at the mountains, good food, very friendly and helpful host who spoke English. Good location with the bus stop right next to the hotel - close from the Ropeway and convenient access to Kamikochi. We enjoyed our stay a lot! The facility is rather old and not renovated, also the amenities like towels, yukatas, hair driers etc could be replaced for the newer one. The onsen area could also be better taken care of. There was no room cleaning on the second day and we felt like there is not enough staff at the hotel to take care of all guests.
