- Wim (10/5): A slice of paradise. - Thai eco-resort, very original buildings in a well kept jungle park. We stayed at the Nakbud- bungalows with an astonishing view and terrace. The breakfast was extensive and gastronomic. We have had three times diner and it was 5-star with reasonable prices. The team is very friendly and discreet. A piece of paradise which we miss already. It is in the middle of nature and quite faraway from everything. No restaurants, bars, party life in the surroundings. Only quietness… and that was we were looking for.

I thought I saw a small branch by the net, turn up to be a snake 😝😝 was a close call. Just be extra careful , this is not the problem of the property but something to expect in such a forest area

- Karishma (9/5): serene getaway from the city. - serene environment 30-40mins away from hatyai city. staff was incredibly accommodating – truly made me feel like a part of their lovely family, if there’s anything you need simply ask them! lovely spacious room with breathtaking views and a very generous breakfast. tons of mosquitoes because you’re in the mountains but expected. will be a bit taxing walking uphill from the cafe to the airbnb at times. after evening it gets pitch dark so don’t expect to travel around hatyai to chestnut hill, though if you do you might wanna use the maxim or indrive app instead of grab!

- James (10/5): Perfect jungle retreat - All the food was amazing. And the potions are generous. Breakfast delivered to your room is a very nice touch because the view and surroundings are beautiful. The cafe area is a very nice area too. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. I was travelling onto Krabi and the staff organised my travel for me and gave me a lift into Hatyai, even helping get the ticket from the booth at the bus station and seeing me to the right bus🙏🙏🙏 Being immersed in the jungle. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet when I was there so I was upgraded to a detached cabin which came with air con and a fridge. It was also better sealed from the jungle so if you did want to shut it out you could. But I was also happy in the semi detached cabin I had the first night. If you want a detached jungle experience, with most mod cons, within 30mins taxi of central Hatyai then I don't think you could find a better spot. Last orders for dinner are at 5pm which is a touch early but as it was so quiet it wasn't a problem for me. You can also get room service or takeaway which you could save to eat a bit later.

- Kooiping (10/5): Great place for those who's like nature and quiet place to recharge - The room and all facilities are clean. They really taking good care of the hygiene. Foods is nice, especially the Signature Pizza. We are so greatfull to have June, the staff who waited and welcome us, giving all of her assistant during our stay. Khob Khun Kha June, Kor Hai Khun, suk khap pah di nak kha. The road to the hill is very country side, you will passing by the nice Rubber Estate, in between there would have houses. Do enjoy such a nature scenery. After tuning in to the road to the resort is only single car road, advice to check in after 2pm or not later by 5pm, otherwise you will loss the view and unable to enjoy yourself at such a quiet place. The bed are comfort, they had prepared sufficient drinking water, good comforter to keep you warm for such a cozy night. Encourage to have a morning walk to nature.

- Justin (10/5): Great off the beaten track place for complete solitude. - Unique experience. Geckos and bats. Forest style Thai food, fern leaf salad and chicken cooked in a bamboo stick, kaffir lime leaf and pineapple smoothies, all delivered to terrace of bungalow for private dining.
- Thines (10/5): Wonderful stay - Having a calm and beautiful scenery. Wonderful hospitality. Prior to our arrival, the resort messaged and ask us if we will be arriving late since the kitchen will be closing at 6pm. We arrived late evening, the staff/manager? Still assisted us well, and we did cash payment but since its already late she adviced us to pay next day and its not an issue. Our barn, was pretty well prepared, there is no complains totally. A kampung style cottage. There is no mosquito issues at night. We had a pretty good sleep Breakfast was great and was huge for us. Its not buffet style , its ala carte and its alot for both of us. Totally it was pretty good stay outside the busy hatyai city The roads to the resort is pretty dark to drive at night, it will be great if they hv a street nights. The road to resort is surrouded by rubber trees.

- Nidanaded (10/5): RECOMMENDED, THE PLACE, THE HOSPITALITY AT ITS BEST, BEST PLACE FOR HEALING... - Was staying there for 1 night but it's so comfy, the location is quite secluded but its fair with the name of the place, i recommend everyone to come here once, for healing and to experience the nature, the hospitality, the staff is very helpful even though they don't speak fluent english/malay, the cafe is halal, the pizza is quite delicious. i stay at the hut, it was comfy and far from others, the room is clean and no bugs. Will come again in future and recommend it to my friend. Everything was perfect during my stay. i have no comment.

- Keith (10/5): Hidden Natural Paradise in Hat Yai - It was amazing stay for 2 nights in this resort. Simple accommodation with the surroundings with green nature, the staffs are friendly and helpful, the foods serve in the restaurant are truly Thai food and they do have western menu also. It’s a relaxing place and I definitely will come and visit again. 2 points I would like to highlight: 1. I booked for 2 nights (Superior Twin 1 night and Single Room Wooden Cottage 1). My bookings were stated clearly with breakfast included, but Chestnut Hill Eco Resort’s information gets from Hotels.com stated room only, without breakfast. After I clarified with the resort manager, I manage to get my breakfast without additional charge. But I think some error in your system to deal with Chestnut Hill Eco Resort. Please check on it. 2. There was the river water level was overflowing on the day I checked out. We were stuck in the Resort, because all the cars can't cross one of the bridge outside of the resort to Hatyai town. While waiting the water level down, Resort served some refreshments, coffee/tea to the customers, offer to extend room check out time that we can rest in the room while waiting and even offer an additional 1 night stay FOC. BIG Thumb up to the resort manager and the staffs taking these actions to resolve this unexpected incident.
