The only minor issue was that the hallway had a slightly dusty/musty smell, which could be improved. Other than that, everything met my expectations very well.

• Fiona (4/5): Disappointing stay that did not justify the price paid. - Strategy Location, spacious parking. Poor check-in experience as they assigned a trainee to attend to me, and he was unable to answer my question regarding the location of the sky deck, which resulted in a long wait. The reception area was also very hot as the air conditioner was not functioning properly. When I raised this issue, the staff merely responded, “Is it?”. The room was also just average and did not justify the amount paid. Overall, the stay was not worth the money spent.

The breakfast offers a variety of choices from Western to local dishes. The gym is equipped with many weight training machines and a treadmill. The swimming pool was clean and nice. It could have been better if the breakfast had offered a greater selection of Japanese foods.

• Rohaida (9/5): Awesome - Had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton. The room was spacious, clean, and very nicely maintained, making it a comfortable place to relax throughout the stay. The bed was especially comfortable and provided a great night’s sleep, although the pillows could be improved for even better comfort. A special touch that made the experience even more memorable was the complimentary birthday cake and the lovely towel origami arrangement. It was a thoughtful gesture and truly enhanced our celebration. Overall, excellent hospitality and a pleasant stay — would gladly return again. Safely around the swimming pool could be improved by stationing a staff there (near the pool towel shelves) instead of both of them being inside (at the door leading to the pool). This will help in managing/getting help in case of emergency situation

Ολα ήταν υπέροχα απλά για το κέντρο της πόλης θέλει κανένα μισάωρο περπάτημα αλλά υπάρχουν και ταξί που είναι πολύ φτηνά.

• Hatiq (9/5): Exceptional service and comfort, though a little tucked away - We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka. The service was top-tier from the moment we arrived; the staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we felt welcome. The rooms are wonderful, featuring modern amenities and a high standard of cleanliness that made for a very relaxing environment. We particularly enjoyed the clean, well-maintained pool area and the breakfast spread. The breakfast options were fantastic, offering a great variety of high-quality dishes that catered to all tastes. The only slight drawback is the location. The hotel is situated quite far from the main tourist spots, so you will need to rely on taxis or ride-sharing apps to get into the heart of the city. Additionally, the mall located downstairs was almost entirely empty, which was a bit disappointing as we had hoped for more convenience right on our doorstep.

• Alex (10/5): Memorable stay at Double Tree Hilton, Melaka. - We booked a room on a higher floor in conjunction with our 40th wedding anniversary. Our room was decorated with two swans on the bed and we had a complimentary anniversary cake which was delicious. We were particularly impressed with their Care line concept. They responded promptly to our needs. We truly had a comfortable stay here. Taking the elevator to the lobby and yet another to access the rooms was rather cumbersome and confusing at times. The hotel is also quite a distance from the main attractions like the Stadhuys, A Famosa ,Bukit Melaka, Jonker Street and the River Cruise. We took a Grab so it wasn't really a problem.

• Jess (9/5): Pleasant stay - I had a pleasant stay at the hotel for 2 nights. The room was clean and spacious, which made it very comfortable. The breakfast offered a good variety of choices, catering to different tastes. The housekeeping staff was very attentive. He rang the bell to ask if we needed the room to be made up, and we mentioned we would prefer it after our swim; he came back about 3 hours later to check again. I would like to give him credit for his thoughtful and helpful service. I did not particularly like the carpet in the room. The car park is like a spiral ramp, and cars have to go round and round up about 5 levels to find parking. A bit dizzy for me.

I also love the buffet spread for breakfast and lunch - so much varieties. Location might be slightly inconvenient if you're looking to go anywhere on a walking distance. But as long as you have Grab app, you can easily travel anywhere within 5 minutes.

The room was spacious, albeit a bit too cold despite increasing the temperature (so we found ourselves switching off the A/C every now and then). Parking was free as well, but you need to validate your card at the reception. The breakfast spread was amazingly diverse and we went back for the roti canai so many times! While there was nothing wrong with the parking lot (which is shared with the Elements Mall), walking from there to the hotel lift did feel a bit dodgy. There was also a minor stain on one of the pillows, but we simply requested for a new one.

The carpet along the common area from the lift to the rooms had an unpleasant odour.
