Guest Reviews
- daniel looney (9/5): basic, clean, affordable -
- Darren (7/5): Room was fairly new and nice and clean. - Did not try the breakfast. Location was good. Room was pretty nice.
- Nix (8/5): Friendly and very supportive owner and wife. - Great staff and friendliness. Clean room. Only 1 of 4 reading lamps on night stands worked. No deadbolt or chain lock on the door.
- Marcia (3/5): - Manager had a nice smile. Bathroom fan loud. No heat in bathroom. Not a secure lock on entrance door. AC not strong enough. Drape over window broken.
Flies in room. Not all lights worked.
- Brendon (6/5): -
- Kelly (10/5): Great place for the price will stay again. - Great location, friendly staff, clean Beds were a little hard, no hot water after 930pm in our room but we managed.
- don (9/5): Generally we had a good stay - clean, efficient staff. near main events the heater was very loud and the room was very cold when we arrived,so it took a very long time to warm up.
- Rebolledo (9/5): -
- Danielle (9/5): Manager at front desk was very nice! - Very clean and easy check in. Beds weren’t very comfortable.
- Alicia (10/5): - Great beds
- Ressel (7/5): Average - Location of breakfast was good. Breakfast was a little lacking. Not much. The rooms needed some upkeep. Some new paint and bedding would be nice.
- Terri (4/5): If you just need a place to sleep that's convenient - it's ok. - Rooms need updating, smell was not great although rooms were clean, when turned heat on the smell was like something very hot and burning so turned it off (not smoky, just extremely hot smell).
- Angela (10/5): Very Clean and Pleasant Motel - The room was very clean and comfortable. The A/C worked well and kept us cool all night. Good water pressure in the shower. The motel is older but well kept. I wish the coffee was available later in the day.
- Blythe (8/5): - A rubber mat for the bathtub would have been nice.
- Roxanna (8/5): -
- Dyanne (10/5): - Very comfortable room. Hot water got hot! Staff were very accommodating of my request for late check in. Easy to get to, and charming! It was a little cold in the room, but the temp changed significantly during my stay. I got an extra blanket, so that was good.
- Tom (9/5): -
- Judy (8/5): - Very friendly service from owner!
- Fiona (7/5): -
- Beverly (6/5): -
- georgantas (9/5): A great place to stay in Lindsborg. Especially if you are visiting the college. - I loved the convenience of the location. It was right next to the main food locations and a gas station. Everything was in walking distance. The staff was so very kind and accommodating.
- Robbin (4/5): Wouldn’t stay here again. - Somewhere to sleep. It was old and ran down, felt dirty and wasn’t Viking looking .
- Connie (8/5): Suited our purpose and would most likely stay there again if needed! - Clean Bed not too comfortable and pillows flat
- Kenneth (9/5): -
- Niedermeyer (7/5): - It was quiet. The owners were nice Bed frame kept hurting our toes. Big stain on sheet and the other bed little stain. Didn't put a new roll of toilet paper. Breakfast was disappointing
- Anthony (10/5): - Everything was fine. Check-in was good, the room was good for my needs and I like the outdoor commons area to just hang and drink
a beer and smoke a cigar. The breakfast was continental basic fare with coffee. If I'm ever in the area again I would use the motel again.
- Ray (9/5): -
- Debra (9/5): Enjoyable - Friendly, clean, easy to find Sheets were not soft but I was fine
- Misty (10/5): - Easily accessible, quiet location
- Frank (8/5): -
- Anne (6/5): Needs an overhaul - This place is rundown. The room had a musty odor as if thy had had a flood. Air conditioning was loud.
- Nix (8/5): -
- Laci (6/5): Older motel - It is what you would expect with an older motel. If you are used to places like the Holiday Inn or something similar, this is not the place for you. We booked a 2 night stay and only stayed 1 night. The shower was great. Lots of hot water and water pressure.
- Mark (10/5): I would definitely stay at the Viking Motel again. - Cindy, the owner, was wonderful. We were pleasantly surprised that it had been recently updated with brand name lever furnishings.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Decent motel for the money - The only drawback would be that the ac/heating unit was trying to come on in the heating mode and was making a irritating clicking sound making it hard to sleep.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Absolutely fantastic. Super clean and obviously much loved by the friendly owner. Definitely a really good value option if you’re in the area. Highly recommended.
- Lauren (4/5): - I had high hopes for this hotel but it was dirty and shabby. The carpet in our room was very old and my allergies were bad all night. the window AC was musty and loud. The sheets were polyester. The shower tub was superficially clean but grimy. There was a dirty towel left behind by a previous guest on the door hook. The bed was not very comfortable, and the pillows were flat and lumpy.
It goes without saying that all hotels should replace their carpeting regularly and probably switch over to vinyl plank if they’re going to be bare bones. I like to stay in Lindsborg but I feel like I’m going to have to continue staying in Salina for affordable and tolerable options.
Also, I reserved the room on Expedia and the guy at the front desk didn’t have access to the computer to retrieve our registration
- David (8/5): - .
- Zack (10/5): Wonderful property with friendly staff and clean updated rooms - Clean, convenient, very friendly The outside stairs are a bit wonky
- Casey (10/5): Thank you for the stay - Nice bed, clean room, loved having an ice box in the room. All in all very nice.
- Oneka (8/5): - Great location
Helpful staff
Clean. Pillows were too flat 😌
- Andrea (10/5): Clean, no frills, comfortable and quiet. - I just need a clean hotel and this was clean, even the corners of the bathroom. However the air freshener was so strong. As clean as it appeared there was no reason for all the air freshener. Makes my leary that there is an odor trying to be hidden. I woke up with swollen nasal passages.
- Eva (10/5): - Super friendly and nice. Very welcoming and gave great information for our stay.
- Jody (6/5): - conveniently located. Very friendly lady working at the registration office. Rooms were very clean No breakfast was available.

- TONY (10/5): - The Viking Motel Inn located in lindsburg Ks was a very quiet and comfortable Inn. The rooms although not Hilton esk were comfortable,,very clean, relaxing and fresh . There was a sitting benche outside the room and the grounds has a flower garden. The owner was a joy to talk with. Would we stay here again. Thats a Yes.
- Himes (8/5): Very good - Very friendly proprietor
- Mecham (8/5): Great place to stay in Lindsborg! - Friendly host and clean room! Breakfast only offered prepackaged pastries. But coffee was good!
- Linda (10/5): Great - Receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Main highway close by for easy on/off but still quiet.
- Susan (10/5): - Nice place for a 1 night stay. Expedia reservation had still not arrived when we checked out. Frontdesk staff was making phone calls. Unacceptable on part of Expedia!
- Linda (4/5): - The A/C didn't remove moisture from the room, and it was like trying to sleep on sheets that had just come out of the washer. Towels were damp before I ever used them.
- Elizabeth (5/5): The bed was small but otherwise ok, the water pressure was good, and we got what we paid for. - We didn't eat the breakfast. We had bugs in the room, including flies, spiders, and moths. We also expected queen size beds but the beds were no larger than full. There was no good place to put more than one suitcase. The person in the lobby when we checked in was very friendly, and we got the service we requested. We did not report the bugs issue.
- Bob (6/5): - The staff was friendly and the property was clean. The double beds were less than desirable and we needed extra pillows to make sleep more comfortable and the staff obliged. The stairs were scary and if you
- Judith (9/5): Superb - The room was very clean, which is the most important to me. The carpet was a little dated, but the motel is obviously well cared for. Beds weren't the most comfortable, but acceptable and expected for the price. Great value, would stay again! No table/ chairs to play games, but we managed!!
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Megan (10/5): - Very clean, great location, comfortable beds/pillows!! The owner is lovely and was very helpful and accommodating!!
- Walker (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dilyn (10/5): Reunion - Location. Small bathroom.
- Pracht (8/5): Appreciated the care - Courtesy and friendliness of staff Not their fault but the bed was too firm for one with a bad hip.
- Stacie (10/5): - This was a clean very quiet and affordable stay. It was very close to downtown, college, and the TACOL thrift store. The owner was on site. She was keen to help us with extending our reservations one more day without a problem. She asked if we needed any services or extra linen and provided extra towels- straighten bedding.
I enjoyed the dahl horse in front of the hotel- dedicated to honoring a family member. Thank you for the stay.
We enjoyed our time their.
- Deborah (8/5): Very good -
- Whitney (10/5): Quick family function trip - Viking motel was a comfortable stay albeit in the middle of nowhere. The staff were friendly. Check in was a breeze.
- Allen (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (6/5): - it is an okay property for $65 a night but nothing to write home about. it was mostly quiet and clean. some tv problems. Did not eat breakfast on property.
- James (10/5): Lindsborg Kansas just slightly off the beaten path - This was a delightful detour on my trip. I was out booking the band for our next US tour, and I had never heard of this Swedish town but I am glad I found it. Its not the Hilton but the room was clean and comfortable. With a Pizza Hut across the parking lot in easy walking distance then dinner was a snap. The TV was larger than normal, and the AC while a window unit had a good remote control. The Shower was better than average at this working class hotel. The price was bargain in my opinion. If I'm ever in the area again, I will stay here.
- James (2/5): - There was nothing good to say about this property.
I will comment about all the problems of this property.
1. The mattresses were very hard and most uncomfortable.
2 the shower faucet fell off while turning it on. There was not a way to hold water in the bathtub in oder to take a bath. And worst of all we ran out of hot water for just the two of us.
3. The operation of the TV was a joke where they handed out instructions on how to use it.
- Kilsby (7/5): Would stay again great price, and comfortable - We were happy with the room, was comfortable and clean. The large trash can outside our room attracted flys, would have appreciated a light service of our room. No coffee making facilities in our room.
- Brenna (10/5): - Property simple yet clean and was able exactly as described and promoted. Friendly staff with easy check in.
- Vickie (10/5): Highly recommend - The owners were very friendly and helpful. I intend to stay here again when visiting my people.
- Hobkirk (8/5): Very good -
- Lori (8/5): Very good -
- Zachary (10/5): Great stay - The stay was absolutely wonderful. The owner of a hotel and her son are super kind. The room itself was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The water pressure was very strong.
- Kristen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debra (6/5): Overnight visit - We were in town to attend a memorial service. The room was clean but could use some updates. I would suggest calling ahead to confirm your reservation. When we arrived they didn't have us down for the iing room we reserved, thankfully they had two rooms left. It is a cute town and the person behind the desk was helpful with suggestions on where to eat.
- Christeain (2/5): Just want my $133.96 refunded not my fault - Still charged me an had an emergency. Went to hotel said your responsible for charging me. This has been going on since beginning of year u keep deleting my stuff
- Miller (7/5): Nice place for the budget minded, cute town nearby. -
- James (10/5): - I had to have a late check-in and the owners went well beyond other hotels by personally calling me and walking me through how the process would work since I was arriving so late. When arriving at 11:00 pm, the room was ready for me. It was seamless and the easiest check-in experience I have ever had. I will definitely be staying there again.
- Lyn (8/5): Great, motel, priced right. - The Viking Motel was a fine place to stay in Lindsborg. It was half the cost of the lovely Drom Sott, which is a completely different small, quaint hotel with Swedish breakfast downtown. The Viking was clean, convenient to town, and fairly priced. Don’t expect much for breakfast besides coffee and cold cereal or a cellophaned roll, but that’s not expected anyway. It’d be nice to have a coffee pot in the room like most motels do. We could have used another blanket on the beds, but when we realized that, it was too late to ask. We just cranked up the heat. It’s clean, it’s basic, it’s just fine. The liquor store is right next door 🙂 and so is Pizza Hut. But go downtown to the Ol Stuga for great sandwiches, burgers, and friendly service or to the Crown and Rye for a great meal or Sunday Brunch. And PIE.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good experience - Overall it was a positive experience. Checkin was easy and the young man working the front desk was great. He offered us donuts and coffee for the morning, but we had breakfast plans. The room was dated, but surprisingly clean. They had a newer tv and gave helpful instructions on how to operate. The bed was ok, not super comfortable, but it worked. We enjoyed our stay and it was quiet all night. It was really cold the night we stayed, but the heat in the room worked well and kept it warm. Just could use some updating, but this was expected in this hotel.
- Shelley (10/5): - Clean, quiet, comfortable. We just needed a place to sleep for the night. Perfect and very affordable. We had a great nights sleep
- Verified traveler (8/5): Basic but convenient motel - We enjoyed this small motel for the most part. It was convenient to downtown and the college campus. The room was basic but clean. It could use a little updating. The built in ac/heater unit was not working well so it was a bit chilly in the room about 60-65 degrees. The breakfast is mostly snack foods like prepackaged cakes, honey buns, mini donuts, coffee and tang. There were cheerios and milk too. We liked the low cost and general space. We would stay here again.
- William (8/5): - Just fine. Cheap. Clean comfortable. Not fancy. But good option
- Ronald H (10/5): - Great value for a simple clean place to stay.
- Ronald H (10/5): - Great price and location.
- Karen (8/5): - Staff welcoming; replaced a nonfunctioning refrigerator immediately. Simple, clean accommodations. Detailed written directions on how to run the TV - VERY helpful for one who seldom uses such controls. Have never seen this helpful aid in any other motel. Would stay here in the future.
- Christopher (9/5): Nice place, great value. - Pleasant staff, very clean, great.value. The heater unit turns on and off. It would be nice if you could keep it on fan mode (with temperature control) so it wouldn't be cutting on and off throughout the night.
- Ginny (10/5): - .
- Jon (7/5): Good -
- Gene (10/5): - The owners were very helpful and attentive. They are making an effort to upgrade rooms and generally good. An unusually tall tub is odd and difficult. My wife did not risk getting in for a shower. Minor quality construction issues, sticking doors that were difficult to open or close at the bathroom.
- David (7/5): Good - Staff friendly and helpful Breakfast was basic and did not offer any Swedish items
- Crystal (5/5): It was adequate enough for our situation - It was quiet and near the family members we needed it to be Hot water didn’t last very long
- Wilson (9/5): Very good. My great nieces were upstairs in a different room and very comfortable. Felt safe. - The owner was extremely helpful. They were willing to get the coffee going early or late if we needed it. Would have liked a coffee maker in the room.
- JIM (10/5): - Squeaky clean older property. If you want a stay worth the price, this is the place.
- Jean (8/5): - It was a nice motel.
- Valerie (10/5): Exceptional - Ease of getting to the freeway.
- Melody (10/5): - Check-in was a breeze. The young gentleman at the desk was very friendly and helpful, as was his mother later that evening and the next morning when we were about to check out. The room was clean, and had no smell about it. The TV was nice size so you didn't have to squint to watch it, and the beds were extremely comfortable. I had no problem sleeping restfully. Five stars to this motel. Oh, and it is pet friendly.
- John (10/5): Perfect stay! - Family owned/run business. At check-in we were greeted by Sonny, with a friendly smile! He was very helpful in pointing out local restaurants and points of interest in the area.
We were there 4 nights, the room was clean and very comfortable.
We also had the pleasure of meeting Sonny's mother as well. Both made us feel welcome
and were extremely customer service oriented. We had a perfect stay.
- Haskins (7/5): Good -
- Myles (9/5): Delightful - Just all around comfortable at a great value.
