- Jerry (10/5): Great Little Hotel in a Small Town - We were returning for my wife's 55th High School class reunion. We booked the Hometown Inn not knowing what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. A new young couple has recently purchased the Hotel and they are making great changes and upgrades. It was clean, well appointed and everyone was extremely friendly. They have even added breakfast, that while it was sparse, was certainly adequate for our needs. For a small town hotel, this is fabulous!

- Tracy (6/5): It was a place to lay our heads - There were hairs in the bed. We checked in at 5pm. Check on it's listed for 3pm, and they still hadn't cleaned it yet. I had a cold shower. Soap dispenser had muck at the bottom, and couldn't use it. One of the beds, when you moved springs would pop up and poke you. At least it was a closer stay fir going to the hospital the next morning.

- Andrea (6/5): - The property manager, was extremely helpful and understanding. I used Expedia to book two rooms for two nights and prior to check in had to modify the reservation to cancel one night in the second room. Expedia did not provide the hotel with the update and I was concerned I would still be charged for it. As we were travelling for a family funeral, I was concerned about any additional costs and was not emotionally prepared to deal with Expedia's errors. Fortunately, she was understanding and didn't charge me for the night. She went far beyond what I would have ever imagined she would do to ensure our stay was as stress-free as possible. Thank you for your kindness and compassion during a very difficult time. If you are planning to book at this hotel, call the hotel directly and bypass Expedia.

- Ben (8/5): - Great cheap place that took dogs. There was coffee made early. But no breakfast. Great open fields to walk dogs.
- Donna (6/5): - It was disappointing the first morning being woke by other customers revving truck engines for 20 minutes starting at 5:30 am. After a long drive and long day, sleep was very much needed. I understand contractors renting by the week are important to your bottom line, but respect for other customers should be monitored and enforced. Front was not manned during normal business hours. Went to the front desk several times, with no success. Breakfast bar was not kept stocked. Coffee was good but found breakfast selections had been picked over to the point that Sunday morning I didn't find a item I could eat. Disappointed.

Rooms were nice n clean, beds very comfortable. Knowing our situation because of the outstanding customer service the manager told my mother that if roads were still not good the next day she would let me keep my room free of charge! Our overall experience was very comforting n enjoyable!

He was told there was no reservation and we did not have a room. I have the emails and was charged. We ended up sleeping in Klemme on a family members couch and recliner. I have called and left messages to speak to GM with no response.

As a person who is allergic to smoke it made my stay here a medical problem. I would not recommend this motel to someone that does not smoke. Otherwise it was a nice motel. Also the scent stuff in the room was overwhelming. Caused headaches for me.

- Rob (4/5): This hotel not for me - I was in the area to visit family in nearby Eagle Grove. However, I also had business to tend to. The WiFi was a very important part of my stay as when I wasn't with family I would be working in my room. WiFi worked great on all three of my devices the first afternoon and evening. By the next morning, none of my three devices would connect to internet. I went to two nearby fast food restaurants, my relative's house and a restaurant there and all three devices connected fine. I told the manager that morning about 8am. She said her sons take care of that and would be there at 10am. I requested they contact me. Never heard anything. I went back the next morning and, basically was told it's my issue and not the hotel's. I requested the router be restarted as that would probably fix the issue, but management refused and had no further contact with me. I was going to try one more time to convince them as I found another traveler with the same issue. As I walked toward the front desk, all I heard was a female in the adjoining manager's apartment yelling, cursing and not tending the front desk. I gave up at that point. It's a shame because the rest of the stay was ok. I plan to be in that area sometimes 5 days at a time and as often as once a month, but access to internet and good customer service is imperative for me to be able to work when I'm not with family. I will have to try another hotel.

They said we got the last room, bath tub full of hair and floor was very dirty, security door to building was broken anyone could get in, security latch on our door was broken, sink was all scratched up, chairs were all stained, lampshades bad shape falling apart and carpet was stained and dirty.

- John (4/5): Not so great - We've stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past, and it was always clean, up to date, and comfortable. However, this seems to have changed. Upon arrival, the room had a very musty smell to it, and it looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months. Seems like they replaced the beds with what was more or less a box spring. Understand that the hotel is under new ownership from when we were last there, best of luck to the new owners but it seems as though the place defiantly needs a re-do.

We were able to get a fly swatter from the front desk and killed about 15 of them, but still had some buzzing around throughout our stay. The bathroom was clean, but the room and especially the bed had a musty smell as if it were slowly rotting/molding. Alright for the price.

Room was not cleaned or made up my second night - beds not made, sink not cleaned, crumbs still on floor from previous guest). They did leave clean towels sometime during the day. The breakfast has bread that is over 3 weeks past the use date- what I ate was over 10 days old. They did have bananas and apples which was nice. Was in a non-smoking room but guests were smoking in hallways so very smoky
