• Kel (1/5): Look At Other Options than Palette in Legian. - Good location I've stayed at this property for years when it was Zest. Once it changed management to Palette unfortunately it will be my last stay here. Poor service, too many things went wrong time and time again. There are many other options in Legian at the same price point that are far better. Try looking at other properties would be my recommendation if you're planning on staying in Legian.

• Tracey (4/5): Wouldn’t stay there again. Thankfully it was only for 2 nights. - The people at reception was always helpful and tried to accommodate our request for change of rooms. The property was not clean and the linen was dirty and had holes in the bedding as well as the bath towels. Air conditioning was subpar.

Booked and paid for a room with a balcony and once checked in and handed the keys we got to our room and all we had was a window with a view to a balcony with no access. We only booked this hotel so we could have a shower before our flight home. I went down to the desk and mentioned we had paid for a room with a balcony and only then did the guy on the front desk tell us there were none available. I told him that we should not have been able to book the room if it wasn’t available and he could have at least mentioned it to us when handing us the key. He told me they would refund 150,000rp however he later told us that the management denied this request so they kept our money and did nothing to rectify the issue. Bathrooms are absolutely filthy and could do with some bleach and a scrub. Pool area old and furniture looks like it’s been handed down 17 generations. Sat at the restaurant to have a meal for lunch and the girl behind the bar gave us a smile and looked back at whatever she was doing only one other person seated and we left after 10 minutes to eat elsewhere)

• Joanne (7/5): Just one night- not a place I would stay longer - The staff were great, breakfast had a good selection. Ask for a room away from the street noise. The rooms could do with a coat of paint and new wall paper which was peeling.The pool on the roof could do with some cover, the water was warm. For the price it was ok.
• Dorney (6/5): Good value for money just needs some maintenance. - The rooftop pool is large and has lounges and umbrellas. It is clean. I didn't use it this time but have many times in the past. It's a great location not far from the beach plenty of shop and restaurants around. The staff are always friendly. Even though it needs maintenance it is still good value for money and we love the location. I have stayed here from the opening of this hotel (formerly ZEST) and it is gradually declining. The beds are saggy. The aircon did not work well. The staff did offer me another room. Showers need deep cleaning and drains need cleaning (don't drain properly). Breakfast is adequate. Coffee not so good and juice is like cordial. The towels have been dyed grey , a good idea as before there were obviously washed in poor quality water like the sheets and were grey.

Fue demasiado desagradable llegar y ver que estaba demasiado sucio el baño, los espejos del baño salpicados, la ducha de vidrio estaba muy sucia, con partes negras en las esquinas, hasta la puerta del baño estaba sucia, se notaba que no se limpiaba hace mucho. Y otras partes de la habitación que no era agradable ni de tocar. Mucho por mejorar. Se escuchaba demasiado el ruido de la calle y de los pasillos.

We have been staying here ever since this place was built. were always given a kettle and two mugs on request so that we could make a cuppa in our room. we were told they didn’t have any kettles. We know the hotel had changed hands but sometimes it pays to take care of your regular guests we come at least twice a year to stay. Smoking and vaping behind the bar was very unacceptable to my husband and myself. Why have no smoking signs up then put ash trays on the tables . The kitchen staff and waiters were great

• Annamalay (5/5): - The breakfast at the restaurant was great The reviews on Booking.com and photos were misleading. We booked 2 nights here in a panic after our flight out was canceled. Unfortunately this hotel is in need of a lot of care and attention. Damp walls and peeling paint. Bad smells. There also doesn't seem to be many people working there. Stained sheets. Broken fixtures. We had to ask for another room because the air con started to leak on the floor and the shower was broken. The new owners should do better... It's not fair on staff or guests to keep the place in such poor condition.

• Claudia (6/5): - Good location comfortable bed Food wasn’t good, went to the restaurant only us and one other table waited 40 minutes for the food to come out wrong, then waited another 25 minutes. I ordered bbq wings and chips for them to come out with no sauce or chips and chewy chicken. Cocktails didn’t taste like they had any alcohol. When we arrived at the hotel at 6pm the room wasn’t ready yet once we got in the air conditioning was broken and the phone had no power we were moved to a smaller room with a view of a wall when we didn’t book that room. The air con was very bad we were roasting the whole time. We asked for someone to check the air con nobody did. The pool was closed for 2 days due to maintenance. We tried to ring for our breakfast that was included nobody answer tried a different number nobody answered, we went downstairs and asked to order breakfast 10:05 and they said we were too late after explaining nobody would answer the phone. 5 minutes late and they didn’t give it to us. Staff weren’t very helpful. Had to go downstairs to ask for shower towels she came up 15 minutes later with a floor towel so had to ask again and wait another while.

• KAY (1/5): Terrible stay, never again - Close to beach and other good venues, lift for easy access to rooms Cold breakfast, wrong breakfast given, charged for splash of milk in coffee, room had ants in bathroom, given different room to the one booked, no cleaning products, no soap, no slippers as stated, room faced the wrong direction, woken at 2am by someone swimming in the rooftop pool on multiple occasions.... Very different from our first stay here July 2025 while it was still the Zest. The manager was emailed and I've not had a response. Will never stay here again!

The pool area is great and very relaxing. Overall, it’s an outstanding value for money and a perfect balance between price and quality.

• Tanya (2/5): - The location was great 👍 This place has new owners and whilst the new ownership its is only recent, they need to do some work. Whilst the staff were friendly, many had limited english and could not address any issues. Towels and sheets need to be replaced they were grey, as does the pool deck and chairs. The pool deck was dangerous with pieces of wood splintered and missing.. Our room (318) has a loud noise 24/7, which we found out later to be a water pump..

Room was great good size , good location just had to move rooms to the other side as DragQueen show was loud every night I dint like that they had No wine at the bar, with people staying there they should had stock, No milk for coffee 1 morning so I ended up spending money at Retri everyday which was just beautiful food. True young ones on reception should be made to learn English very hard to communicate at times. I would go back and stay good price

The bed was comfortable. The lift. I had to hold my breathe. Lyckily on 1st floor. Nice u want to make place smell nice, but too toxic. The towels the same, too smelly with washing powder or dryer sheets. Whatever u use its bad.

• sharpe (10/5): I will always stay there at the start of my visit to Bali and always at the end . - Rooms so comfortable and your staff are impeccable. Love the area where you can sit back , Coffee , drinks , read or crosswords . Pool area I just live , perhaps a few more shade umbrellas .I can spend hours there just to relax , swim and read . Highly recommended 😎 Nothing really . Perhaps like I mentioned a few more shade umbrellas ☂️
• Mitchell (8/5): Only stayed 2 nights it’s ona good position and is very clean the staff are very good as well. They really need to repla - It was cheap and very clean The pool lounges are absolutely terrible
