carmel (9/5): really comfortable stay in the heart of Myeondong. - located right in the very centre of Myeondong, close to both metro and buses, it was easy to get around the city. The breakfast was substantial with good choices to suit all people. Bed was super comfortable, room well designed. our room was at the side of the hotel so noise was not an issue. Rooms at the front may have noise problems, but there were earplugs provided. nothimg else.
Chrisi (10/5): relaxing stay in a busy and on the go trip - Hotel28 Myeongdong is in an excellent location. Even though it sits right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Myeongdong, it was surprisingly quiet — we stayed on the 3rd floor and could not hear any outside noise at all. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. I absolutely loved the movie-themed décor; it gave the hotel a unique character and charm. It was also the first hotel I’ve stayed at where the minibar was complimentary, which was a lovely bonus. We were even able to sore our luggage complimentary for 3 days prior whilst taking a side trip to Busan. Our room was very spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. The bathroom felt modern and generous in size, with a separate bath and shower which I really appreciated. I also loved the bathrobes and slippers provided. I would highly recommend Hotel28 and would happily stay here again. no sugar options in the minibar like coke zero instead of regular coke.

Jackie (10/5): Amazing staff and many thoughtful touches - The traditional Korean breakfast at this hotel is incredible, and there is a vegan option! Vegan breakfast is hard to find in Korea let alone an amazing one. The staff were amazing, they were so helpful (making reservations for us) and happy to help with any requests (an umbrella, a bowl for ramen, call a taxi, extra coat hangers - nothing is too much trouble). There are so many well thought out touches to the rooms, such as Dyson hairdryers. If you plan to stay in myeongdong this is a great location! We recommend you also try another neighbourhood while you stay in Seoul for some variety, myeongdong is very touristy (but we are tourists so that is okay!) Glass doors/not real doors or walls for the bathroom.

Very spacious rooms in the heart of myeongdong. We were provided earplugs incase it got noisy at night but we were never bothered by the noise of the crowds across the street. Perfect location for easy access to restaurants, street market, and shopping. Coin laundry on roof of hotel was nice to have access to. Important to note: staff informed us that uber taxis do not pull up to the front of the hotel so use other taxi companies if you would like to be picked up at the front. The concierge assisted us in securing taxis when needed. N/A

Charles (8/5): A small hotel, but big for style, service and location. - We liked the ‘small luxury hotel’ style, and the interior design aesthetic. Our room had two windows which opened. The central location was very convenient. The staff were friendly & efficient. The room was rather small and the king size bed was too big for the space, with very narrow access, especially on the right side where the tv on the wall limited the space even more. A queen size bed would have been a better choice.

Its right in the middle of the shopping district of Myeongdong, extremely convenient, surrounding by restaurants, and shops. Its also just a short walk from the subway station. The part that needs improvement is the coffee machines at the restaurant. They machines were tuck at a corner and there was always a line up to get to the coffee machine in the morning at breakfast time. The machines always broke down or required servicing. It was a very frustrating experience every morning trying to get a cup of coffee. The area was just too cramped and the machines were too finicky.

WATARU (7/5): 初めてのソウル旅行でしたが、満喫できました。 - 日本語のスタッフがおられて助かりました。立地がよくどこに行くにもアクセスがよかったです。また、フリーのコーヒーサービス、冷蔵庫のフリーの飲み物、水もフリーでよかったです。チェックイン前、チェックアウト後もホテルで大きな荷物を預かっていただけました。また、レストランの予約サポートをしてくださり、さらには、クレジットカードをショップにおき忘れた際もスタッフが連絡してサポートして下さいました。本当に助かりました。表のチキン屋の道路に面した部屋は、1:00ごろまでうるさかった。また、2日目の外出後、ホテルに戻ると洗面台の髪の毛は残ったままだったので、清掃は簡易的かと思いました。
Caines (9/5): Excellent location, very comfortable stay - If you are looking to be in the MyeongDong area, this is absolutely the hotel for you. You have super quick access to metro lines and so many buses. It is quite easy to get to other areas of Seoul from this location. Additionally, the staff are always incredibly nice and attentive. The room itself is a great size, super comfortable and the daily stocked minibar is a nice treat. Not a problem for me at all, but I'm sure the noise outside may be a problem at night. It's a fun, lively street and the hotel is concious of this and provides ear buds for sleeping.
Barry (9/5): Cinema themed boutique hotel great location for first time visitors to Seoul. - Central Meongdong location, multiple malls, food choices and transport options nearby. Staff were excellent- even came out on the street around the corner because our driver couldn’t find it as we arrived on a busy street scene 9:30 pm. Plenty to do and see in the lively, safe area, Stayed in Room 530 which unfortunately must have been close to water pipes because we were woken up a few early mornings. No views from the window but the hotel already told us about it so didn’t bother us.

sogedss (10/5): Perfect Myeongdong Stay – Convenient, Comfortable & Excellent Service - Stayed at Hotel28 Myeongdong and honestly really enjoyed the experience. The location is super convenient, right in Myeongdong but without the crazy crowd and noise at night, which made it much more comfortable after a long day out shopping. There’s also a row of really famous fried chicken stalls right in front of the hotel, perfect for supper or late-night snacks. Another huge plus is that Myeongdong shopping can get tiring, and public toilets are surprisingly hard to find sometimes. Being able to quickly head back to the hotel halfway through shopping, whether to rest, use the restroom, or drop off shopping bags when they get too heavy, was incredibly convenient. Everything is nearby, all the famous shops, skincare stores, shopping streets, and food spots are within walking distance. A big bonus was that there’s a really nice café called Cream Chic right under the hotel. Hotel guests get discounts there as well as at a few other nearby partnered shops including pharmacy, spa, and food places, which was a really nice touch and made the stay feel even more convenient. Service was also excellent throughout the stay. The concierge and reception team were always friendly, responsive, and efficient. Whenever we requested extra items, they would send them over within minutes. They even messaged before check-in to make sure everything was smooth and to check if we needed anything in advance, which was a very thoughtful touch. One thing to note is that toothbrushes and shaving kits are chargeable separately as the hotel is trying to reduce single-use plastic waste, so just prepare accordingly. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Seoul.

The staff are very welcoming and the place is spotless. I’d definitely recommend the hotel to anyone staying in the area.

The hotel is so unique from the moment you walk in, it has such a unique design and atmosphere, you truly feel you are staying in a boutique hotel. The staff is fantastic. So helpful and kind, there is always some there to assist, 24 hours a day! The rooms are very well designed and lots of special touches, like pop corn when you check in ( it’s a movie theme hotel so this is a super creative touch!) Free mini fridge drinks and snacks in the room, and extra bathroom amenities. Loved the breakfast. It was so well done and loved the Korean Beef choice, I had it every day! I was so happy to see this part of the Hilton SLH chain, Diamond members get free breakfast. Loved this hotel and the location can’t be beat!

Staff were fantastic and were very attentive to my needs, especially Patrick at the front desk. They accommodated all my needs such as extra pillows, airport taxi, and late check out request. Location wise, might be a little difficult to get to by subway if you have big luggage as the area is quite busy, but the hotel is in the middle of all the shops and restaurant area which was super convenient. Quality of the room is superb, the free minibar and breakfast were awesome too. The Hotel is also old cinema themed, so great for a movie buff like me..

I could feel how dedicated she is to her work through her every action. The room was a perfect size for two, and despite being in the heart of the city, it didn’t feel cramped at all. I also got the impression that the breakfast restaurant was themed around 'Oriental Beauty.' The food was neat and delicious. It’s right in the heart of myeongdong, a lively and convenient location, and has everything you need near by. Loved that there is a Din Tai Fung in the same building, 7/11s everywhere, and an olive young right around the corner. The staff were so kind and helpful.

I have recommended Hotel 28 to my friends and family, and they always say this is the best hotel in Seoul because of the staff. They are all genuinely nice and kind. The room is always nice and clean, and the bed is super comfy, especially the king-size one. Now I only stay at hotel 28 when i come back To Seoul every year.
