The only quibble is that the lodge is actually about 7 or 8 miles west of South Fork--half way between town and the Wolf Creek ski resort. We just assumed it would be in town. But, as I said, just a quibble. Beautiful country--especially in autumn. Cool, crisp air and golden Aspens. Where is John Denver when you need him?

• Angela (10/5): Will definitely return - The property is lovely. The rooms are freshly remodeled from what I could tell and they are just perfect. The grounds were well kept and the host staff are very welcoming and willing to help no matter what time day or night.

Jennifer was very pleasant, and her recommendations for surrounding activities turned out geat. The river behind the lodge is still the highlight of the stay and is so relaxing to just sit and enjoy! • Paul (10/5): Wolf Creek - Geeat! - A great property right off H160 outside South Fork. My studio room was everything I needed, with an amazingly comfortable bed and nicely stocked full kitchen. I was mainly visiting Creede, but this place was well worth the 40 minute commute, which was beautiful anyway, so enjoy!

• John (6/5): - Good value stay. Room was large and clean. Beds were comfortable but on the soft side. Ceiling fan worked effectively. So I’d say the room was rustic and the cabin unit more upto date than the run down surroundings.
• Lauren (10/5): My New Favorite Place! - Wow! My husband and I kept telling each other that this was the best place we stayed our whole trip (from Wisconsin to Arizona and back). The room was sparkling clean and in great condition. The pictures do not do it justice! We appreciated and utilized the grill and everything in the kitchen. My daughter enjoyed the playground area, though I noticed there was a little wear and tear that might need to be addressed. It’s clear they just planted some new trees there for shade, so those will be wonderful when they grow and fill out! Because this is a ski lodge, there is no AC, but the room was cool and the ceiling fan was nice. We’re already hoping to return in the future when we pass through the mountains again.
• Stephen (10/5): - This was a perfect location to do things in several different directions, Pagosa Springs, South Fork, Creede, and Great Sand Dunes Nat. Park were all easy trips. The room was super clean and comfortable, with large-screen tv, easy access to river. So pretty. Will definitely return.
• Michael (6/5): - Property looked amazing online, but a little disappointing in person. Mostly motel rooms in a row facing the highway, 3 seperate cabins in back. Not a lodge in the tradional sense, no large common area, dining, shops or anything.

Back patio with grills, hot tub and chairs. River in grounds for fishing. Mountains all around property. Highly recommend.

• Terry (8/5): - Fairly recent updates. No AC. Close to busy highway. Trucks using Jake break all hours. Owner very pleasant and accommodating. Sulphur water. Have cabins on water front (cost 3 times that of lodge room). Assortment of snack foods, etc. in lodge store. Serve yourself towels, trash, etc. No daily room service. All things that would be nice too know before booking. We're Seniors and had trouble with altitude issues but would recommend accomodations as long as you're made aware before booking.
• Elizabeth (10/5): Wonderful place to stay! - The outside appearance is deceiving. It is rustic with modern fixtures and comfort. Geat bed & bedding, a Keurig in the fully equipped kitchen, attached deck with rocking chairs just outside the back. Our King unit had, not just a sofa, but a reclining sofa. It is located close to well traveled hwy but noise from it was not too loud. Lovely.

• Sabrina (8/5): Misleading photos and unreliable Customer Service - We stayed in the hotel-style rooms, but the online photos were misleading. We chose this place because it appeared the rooms were right on the water. However, they only have one or two such cabins. Additionally, it was frustrating that the phone number listed online, on their website, and on Hotels.com was not in service, making it impossible to coordinate a late check-in.

• Mary (8/5): - The access to the river is extremely limited unless you are in cabin front properties. The pictures show seating next to the river which is non existent or at least we couldn’t find any and the man at the desk said “you are welcome to wonder around, no one will care” no help with finding. The rooms were fine recently remodeled and parking is right next to rooms. It is a beautiful property but was looking for some time by the river.

• Todd (10/5): Everything and some!! - We arrived at Wolf Creek lodge after a 6 night stay in Rocky Mountain National Park tent camping. We were in need of some comfort and amenities! We were not disappointed. The location was beautiful, nestled right on the Rio Grande River. The room was spacious and comfortable with everything you’d need including a fridge and small kitchen. We watched a little TV on a large flat screen as we kicked back in the dual reclining love seat! I don’t want to forget the relaxing jacuzzi that we took that was just a few steps away from our room! It was well worth the drive from no matter how far you’re traveling!

• CAROL (10/5): Great overnight stop - Excellent overnight stop along the Southfork of the Rio Grande. I wish we had more time to explore the area. Though the outside was a bit unkept, room was great. Parked right outside the door and stayed in one of 8 rooms. Very reasonable. About 8 miles from nearest restaurant in Southfork but does have full kitchen. Highly recommend.
• Jeremy (10/5): - Very clean and updated, comfortable beds, huge t.v with satellite. Having a kitchen was very useful, back door from kitchen led to a communal deck with gas grills, that we also used ! Walked to river right behind unit that was nice very short walk. Only suggestion would be to have 2 chairs per unit on deck. There was a picnic table down from our but didn't use it, I would remove it and add the chairs. Very nice place they also had a hot tub but we did not use it. I'm so glad we stayed here !!

• Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and comfortable and convenient - Great location for skiing in and around Wolf Creek. Nice clean rooms that are nicely renovated with a decent kitchenette. The cabins are also renovated and have their own charm.

Their rooms have obviously been renovated somewhat recently because they are new, clean, and have fantastic flatscreens ! The hot tub is also great and easily accessible from the hotel style rooms. Great stay and we will be back!
• Blair (10/5): What a Gem! - The location, amenities, staff, and high-quality decor cannot be beat. Super cute and perfect for making your own meals, or a short drive to South Fork. I had been here 15-20 years ago and am blown away by the updated, comfortable, and super clean conditions. Check in and out were a breeze and we enjoyed the hot tub during our stay. A little noisy if someone slams their door next to you, but not a big deal at all. I can't wait to go back!!

• ROBERT (10/5): - This place is very old school in the best way. You get a physical key for the room with a diamond fob just like the motel rooms from my youth. Space heater in the bathroom, a k-cup coffee maker and 50" flat screen TV with DirectTV is all you're gonna need if you are just staying for the skiing at Wolf Creek Ski Area 7 miles away.
