Guest Reviews
- Edgardo (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Rosalba (10/5): - Good and clean!!
- Carlos (10/5): - Very good peaceful and courteous
- Valerie (2/5): Not good - Restroom was dirty
Beds want made right
- Donald (6/5): - Staff was friendly and helpful. Biggest issue was the internet was down for the last 2 days and was not resolved. There was no maid service except after the first night they took the trash. I told them I didn't need anything else so I guess they thought that meant I didn't need anything else for the entire stay. Also, the breakfast was not very good. Gravy was very salty.
- Arturo (2/5): - Pool was close and the tv in room didn't work
- Crystal (10/5): - Good location
- Rachel (10/5): - Comfy, clean, decent breakfast
- Harry (6/5): - There were still dirty towels from the previous people that stayed in the room and bugs in the bed. Not bed bugs. The pool was closed most of the time we were there
- Marlena (6/5): - We were excited to stay here because Monahans is our stop before heading into NM. We usually stay at the Motel 6 but decided to spend a little more and have the free breakfast this property offered. I even called while on the road right before booking online to double check the time for breakfast. I was told breakfast hours are 5:30-9:30. We checked in fine, rooms were clean, our AC unit was a little louder than we expected, but slept fine. We went down to breakfast at 6:38a and heard the girls at desk laughing and conversing. I caught a comment that there was nothing out for breakfast yet. Sure enough, as we walked into the dining room, I said good morning, and we turn the corner, yep…nothing. Lights are off, no food out. So we turn around and walk right back out, go to our room, grab our things and leave. We stopped at the desk and no mention of breakfast, or how was your stay? 0. We ended up grabbing breakfast next door at McDonald’s but all decided that next time we’ll just stay at the M6 and grab breakfast at either McD’s or the QT. We were very disappointed. Especially since it was a deciding factor to book there. *I’ve worked at Homewood Suites in Dallas, TX and done morning hospitality and I know that IF these girls were busy doing what they were supposed to be doing, breakfast would have still been out and they probably would have still had time to visit with one another.
- Sarah (6/5): Room was cold bed was comfortable that’s it. - Place seemed clean & new. We stayed because they had a full breakfast & a pool. However, one of our rooms had hair in the restroom on floor & sink. And the bed sheets had stains & there was a pair of socks in the sheets. Breakfast had scramble eggs, no meat. They didn’t keep it full so people got tried of waiting so they just left. The pool was cloudy & not safe to swim. My husband is a certified pool man & he asked for the pool logs. She said she didn’t have access to them. He told her the maintenances guy just put chemicals in the pool but did not put on the pool jets. That it could irritate the skin & burn your eyes. She just apologized & said she just works there. We did not go swimming.
- Eva (6/5): Unfortunately a No-Go for Us - I write this review believing that the town of Monahans has a shortage of employees, so this is not intended to point fingers at the employees. We stayed at this property before and had a similar experience. I thought we'd try it again, but we won't come back. No matter what time we came out for breakfast, there may be a few eggs (one morning there was none), but nothing to go with it - no bacon or sausage - no juice - no bagels. We specifically reserved this room because of the breakfast. Eating breakfast in town is an experience we didn't want to have again, so the hotel breakfast was important. We were short towels - we only had 1. We had no soap, but were given some when we asked. The TV was not plugged in. We got that taken care of but the remote needed to be programmed. The toilet seat looked dirty and was broken. We cleaned the seat. The staff that was there was accommodating and doing the best they can, but this stay fell way short for us with the breakfast.
- robert (10/5): - Good attention
- Adan (2/5): - I stayed for 2 weeks and not even a single day they cleaned my room
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No remote, found vapes in the couches, bugs in the room & dog poop in the hallways
- eber (2/5): - The pool was green, even though the staff said it was just cleaned with fresh water, saw each day more water was added. Continued to be green and cloudy the entire stay. Would have been great to use in the 103 temps.
The rooms did not get cleaned daily. We had to ask daily for fresh towels when needed. Apparently they only clean the room every 3 days!!! In our 5 day stay the bathroom wasn't cleaned once and no vacuum had touched our room.
The food was not great. Boiled eggs did not peel at all and the same items daily. Bagels, bread, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, coffee and no tea!! Was told they don't order meat as people were stealing it from the restaurant. I was excited for the breakfast sausage that is typically served at microtels.
Water machine in the lobby was out of water on the 1st day and stayed that way our entire stay.
Wifi did not work at all in the first room, staff was great at switching us to a different room as we requested. It was cleaner than the first room and had a much quieter airconditioning unit and no fake eyelashes stuck to the carpet in this room.
It was a comfortable bed with some really friendly staff, some not so much. Would never stay at this location again.
Be sure to google your location from this hotel, it was a longer drive to Midland than we expected.
- Maria (10/5): - Pleasant stay
- Zhaodi (6/5): - The noise of the air conditioner is very loud.
- kristi (6/5): vacation - Room was nice. They ran out of waters...wi-fi was iffy at best. Pool was cloudy....seldom was anyone at the front desk..limited breakfast but was nice to have it.
- Michael (2/5): Worst experience - The room had no bath towels, no bath mat or stopper in the sink. The air conditioner made a high pitch whining sound and didn't keep the room cool. The walls are paper thin. So thin that the room next to us, who talked all night long, could be heard clearly. They would slam the room door and walls would rattle. My worst experience staying in a hotel!
- chris (4/5): - I just stayed for 6 days. There is no free breakfast. They advertise free breakfast and don’t have one. Consider that in you budget when booking. 1st two days only toasted Oates and milk. Waffles available the last couple days.
- Eric (4/5): - The first room they gave us didn’t have the bed made. The second one hadn’t been cleaned (big strawberry goo on the bedside counter). 3rd one finally was ok, but only had two towels. The breakfast was minimal: cereal and a waffle maker only. Not sure if they are understaffed or what, but definitely would not stay here again.
- David (10/5): - Our bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure was good. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.
- Consuelo (6/5): Not a great experience!! - First the room we were assigned was not clean, so they gave us another room. Second, the tv cable didn’t work. I told the front desk lady and she said that she would let maintenance know, but on one came by to fix the tv. Third, we asked for more towels but they didn’t have any because they were behind on laundry. Finally, the breakfast was just hard boiled eggs, cereal and waffles. I will not stay here again.
- Raymond (2/5): - looked old, toilet was not flushed, didn't have a regular sized bath towel-wouldn't bring one to me-had to go get it myself, room smelt like it had not been open up for weeks, etc....
- Brent (10/5): - Clean, coffee maker, nice bed. Plenty of room!
- Stephen (10/5): - Close to I20 with lots of traveler shopping near. Small room, but everything was pretty nice quality.
- Casie (10/5): - The kitchen sink could have used a bit more attention but everything else was clean. Layout of the room was great.
- Johnathan (10/5): - It was nice
- Barbara (10/5): - Easy to find, great breakfast, clean rooms and great staff.
- David (4/5): - The only thing positive about our stay was the comfort of the mattress. Check in took a while even though we had confirmed with the app. Breakfast was minimal and low quality. The bathroom smelled bad once the shower was turned on and the humidity in the room increased. We will not be staying at Mircotel in the future.
- Gabriela (10/5): Perfect - Last minute reservation and late check in (10:30 pm). Room was ready to go when we arrived. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good with actual food, waffle maker and plenty of grab and go options.
- Brent (10/5): - Very Clean, Well taken care of and Well managed.
- Eddy (8/5): Pretty Solid! - There aren’t a ton of budget options out in Monahans, but this Microtel was a great option. It might not be the most glamorous place in the world, but it was clean, the staff was nice, and they even have a Tesla destination charger for those of us traveling with EVs. It’s a great choice if you’re not trying to break the bank.
- Sarah C (10/5): Great value - Hotel was great for the price. Very clean and breakfast was great. It was a little loud at night though and we couldn’t get the ac unit to stay on
- DEREK (2/5): - AC WASN’T WORKING, FRONT DESK CLERK SAID COULLDN’T GIVE US ANOTHER ROOM WITH AC WORKING BECAUSE WE RESERVED THRU EXPEDIA, UNHEARD OFF, BUT REFUSED TI GIVE ME ANOTHER ROOM….
- Edith (6/5): - The property is not bad, but it has mold in some places in the bathroom, and also loose things in the bathroom pipe. The phone and watch were disconnected. I had a 5-day reservation, they were supposed to clean at the 3 days of my stay but after we left in the morning someone put up the do not disturb sign and when I got back at night, they had not cleaned the room, nor did it have towels, so I had to go ask for towels clean. The front desk staff was very friendly and provided me with the towels I needed. The room was comfortable, as was the bed. On the last day, a cigarette smell came in through the bathroom fan so I had to close the door so the unpleasant smell would not get into the bedroom. For breakfast I can say that the coffee was good since I did not eat anything else, but my husband said it was good.
- Melvin C (6/5): - Some of the employees were nice. The facilities were nice. I was there for 5 days, with no TV reception, even local station. No news, weather, etc. A big inconvenience! "We can move you", they said. Another big inconvenience, because I'm already unpacked. NO compensation offered either. Some staff were awesome and the others could care less that you were there. Because of their bad attitude, I would never stay at this hotel again. Its a shame, because the place was nice.
- Ken (10/5): - Very clean. Friendly staff. Perfectly fine for an overnight stay.
- Helen (10/5): - I really liked staying at this hotel because it was really comfy and clean. The breakfast is also great.
- Malcolm (6/5): The plus and minus of the Hotel. - It was a different experience since my last stay there, before it was a nice clean comfortable room/place, this time it was different, there was no hot water (warm yes, hot no), breakfast was....let's say not-so-good, the only good stuff on breakfast was the waffles, cereal, orange juice and milk, everything else was.....cheap, and so very little of that, most of the time I was spending the day somewhere else (family) so was only there at night, other than what i listed, it was a great place to sleep, had the whole 3rd floor to myself, the little snack store was poorly stocked, no soft drinks, no ice. If your just traveling through for the night, yes, it's a great place, if your planning on spending a few days there, stock up on supplies, thank you.
- Christopher (4/5): Dissatisfied!! - The room had a broken thermostat so either freeze or sweat and nothing in between...had to go to desk because the beds were both covered in hair no other room available and nobody to make new beds so we were given sheets to make ourselves, room had no phone and sink in the bathroom was so plugged up you couldn't even run water to brush your teeth and water pressure in shower non existent...I will never use them again
- Kiran (10/5): - Great
- Jacob (6/5): - Needs Improvement
- Jeremiah (2/5): - The stay was horrible won’t stay there again the breakfast they brought was all so cold it was un edible there was people throwing all of their food in the trash due to it being cold I work in the oil field and tried it out won’t be coming back
- ROBERTO (2/5): Not happy did not get no rest - Dirty room floor had mud restroom dirty to not working at 5 AM fire alarm went off no one even checked up on us courtesy check up at least .
- debra (10/5): Love this place - I have stayed here numerous times and not been disappointed in the rooms or services. They have a good breakfast, a decent pool, and outside gas grills for guests to use. There are also laundry facilities for guests to use.The one thing that didnt work was the room safe, but that would not stop me from staying here. Its always been a good experience staying here.
- Emanuel (10/5): - Nice and clean
- Stephen (8/5): - The Motel is good. Mostly workers so its quiet about 11pm. Showers are good and room is comfortable.
- Gabriel (2/5): - I got my room with no Heat service only Cool. Go figure!!! I requested the front desk to fix the problem or give me a different room. Neither possibilities were an option. No staff to check the A/C and no upgrades available unless I pay for the upgrade. Marie, the desk clerk, could not find her manager to discuss the issue. So, I was tired of arguing with Marie (who apparently did not understood the issue), then I pay the difference to get a room with A/C in working condition. Terrible experience.
- Aldo (8/5): - All was good. The only bad point I give is the front desk lady took like 10 mins to show up after I rang and rang the bell, it was 10pm
- Delia (10/5): - Muy bien todo muy atento personal almuerzo sabroso 😉
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Rooms are hot ac doesn’t work switched rooms 3 times finally got a room where ac kind of worked but then tv didn’t work overall staff was nice just hot and uncomfortable
- Jennifer (8/5): - Was surrounded by construction and only half lights in room worked and looked like it was cleaned and then left empty for a month so it was dusty and not completely clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): Breakfast - It was good. Just need to refill breakfast and always check what needs to be refilled like pan cake syrup, plates, and utensils.
- Anna (10/5): - They had plenty of towels and a nice bathroom, a microwave, and a refrigerator.
- Fabian (2/5): - Very unproffesional. I accidently booked a room through expedia at the wrong hotel & within 15 minutes I notified expedia and the hotel refused a refund. Will be reporting to BBB
- Rafael (10/5): - Everything great, but tv was not working
- Ramon (4/5): - The property is in really good shape and clean, but the walls are so thin that you can hear every noise from the other rooms. If someone next to you decide to stay late watching TV you will pay the price.
- Junaid (10/5): - The hotel was conveniently located and my room was clean and comfortable. In addition, there was ample parking all the time. I enjoyed my stay.
- Carey (10/5): Trailer-friendly hotel on I-20 in West Texas - This Microtel was very convenient to access from I-20, and had plenty of space for me to park my SUV and trailer.
- Richard (6/5): - No hot water in bathroom lavatory.
Poor Air Conditioning.
Little refrigerator froze my drinks.
- Michael (10/5): - More upscale than other hotels at same price level.
- Emily (10/5): - The property was in beautiful shape, the staff was friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable!
- Daniela (2/5): - I guess my bed did not come with a comforter and apparently it’s a smoke free environment but could not sleep all night due to the smell of cigarette in my room coming from the other room next door. When I called to complain lady said nothing she can do she will let her manager know. Will not stay at this hotel ever again.
- Chandrasekhar (4/5): - Nothing is well maintained.
- Ezequiel (10/5): - Very pleasant quick check in was a plus
- Martha (10/5): - Me gusta por qué es silencios, limpio sus camas comidas y tienen buena variedad para desayuno yo eh tenido la oportunidad de quedarme ahí más de una vez y lo recomiendo a mi familia y amigos.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I usually stay here while in Monahans but this last stay has probably changed my mind. We went to breakfast about 845 & there was almost nothing left, breakfast ends at 930. The little that was left was stale/cold. Check out time is 12 & I had 2 different people knock on my door before 1130. The check in lady was super sweet though.
- Sarah (8/5): Nice place - Very nice hotel. Friendly staff and easy check in. My only complaints I have would be that there was a little bit of an odor in the room, something like cigarette smoke even though the hotel was no smoking. Also, the door bolt wouldn't lock and the the blanket on the bed was super thin, almost like just having another sheet on the bed. Overall it was a nice stay. I would stay there again.
- JOEY RAYMOND (10/5): - Rooms were clean
- JENNIFER (8/5): - Not sure what error occurred at check in, but a few hours after I was given my room I was woken up from a nap by some powerful knocks. My husband opened the door and a female worker (assuming the manager) stated this room wasn't checked out. She seemed a bit rude questioning our reservation, requesting names, etc. I definitely didn’t like the tone or how she approached the room.
Other than that, the rooms are a little smaller than most hotels, it was very clean, quiet for the most part, and although near the freeway no noise could be heard from my window.
- Connie (8/5): Room was great - Room was great just a few things like the phone didn’t work and the toilet paper holder was broken.
- Jeremiah (2/5): Not Good - My stay there was horrible the ac wouldn’t cool the room even when the temp outside was 45 degrees and the bathtub had hair in it when we arrived I work in the oil field and the sign in front says that breakfast would be ready at 5:30 a.m and it wasn’t so I had to leave for work without breakfast that’s one of the reasons I stayed at the hotel because it came with free continental breakfast
- Theresa (6/5): - Breakfast was sparse and unappealing. Coffee and tea missing from our room.
- Michael (10/5): - It was a new property, and was quite comfortable. Very quiet.
- Raya (6/5): 2022 family trip - The room was clean, but the air conditioner was extremely loud. The wall was too thin and thus conversation in the neighboring room can be heard in my room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Rude front desk service - I will never stay here again and am in process to ensure anyone in my company does not stay here either. CS girl was completely out of line when I checked in
- John (10/5): - Good price, nice place.
- Deborah (10/5): - Wonderful!! Alittle difficult to maneuver the frontage road but once there expect a clean and comfortable room. Thank you 😊
- Meagan (2/5): - Had black mold on our bathroom ceiling.
- Windel (10/5): Good clean stay - Fairly new facility. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and nice sized. I had forgot to bring toothbrush and toothpaste and front desk was very happy to provide some for me. Breakfast was typical serve yourself with both link and patty sausage, scrambled eggs with potatoes and hashbrowns. Nothing special but was hot. Coffee was good.
- Grecia (8/5): - Clean
- Robert (10/5): - Nothing to drink at breakfast other then coffee and orange juice. No water or other juice
- Greg (6/5): - Tv not working
- Jessica (10/5): - Very nice personell
- Vicki (6/5): Maybe not again - Staff was great. Breakfast was good. Icemaker was broken. Bed was not very comfortable. Worst thing was one of our towels was hanging on the bathroom door like it had been used! Have never had that happen before.
- Windel (10/5): Very clean - Very nice stay. Staff friendly and efficient. Room very clean and comfortable. Shower and bathroom area well maintained. Bed comfortable. Room spacious. Hotel seemed fairly new and in good condition. Website says on site RV/Bus/trailer parking. There is none. Had a pickup with trailer and had to park across several car spots. Not even street side parking away from hotel lot. Hotel is easily accessed from the interstate. On check in, they had sack lunches available for guests of sandwich and chips. That was a nice touch for weary travelers. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, make your own waffles and assorted muffins and energy bars.Overall a nice stay for one night.
- Briana (2/5): - Rude and too many problems with rooms
- Timothy (8/5): - The property was clean and well maintained. One of the managers, I forget her name, was really nice and helpful.
Additionally, during the week the property offers free dinner at its sister hotel, Hawthorn Suites, about 0.5 miles away from 5 - 8 pm.
My only real issue while staying here was that you need to arrive to breakfast about 1 hours before the 9:30 am cutoff to receive the free breakfast. If you arrive after 8:30 am there will be multiple breakfast items that are unavailable.
- Payton (10/5): - Quick check in. Morning staff was very helpful and super friendly!
- Sandra (10/5): - This is my 4th time staying, great service, very clean and friendly, relaxing atmosphere. Have stay for business and family.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Friendly staff, great breakfast, room was large and clean
- Wm Roy (10/5): - Nice comfortable rooms and beds Nice showers
- Denise (10/5): - Hotel is immaculate people very nice food was great
- David (10/5): - Staff very friendly. Helpful in calling a local restaurant for us to check it's hours.
- Barbara (10/5): Staff - Great Experience loved the Staff
- Barbara (10/5): My Stay - Absolutely wonderful. The staff was so Friendly .
Makes you want to come back just to
see them
- Linda (10/5): - Nice staff, friendly service, and little touches provided for a great stay.
- Eustolia (10/5): Amazing - It was amazing, clean room, amazing staff, great breakfast!!
