The patina of time, the furnishings, the comfort, the discretion and kindness give this hotel a sense of nobility. It is located in the green part of the city and you have access to very good restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast could be better with enough fresh fruit, juices and not instant coffee.

The only reason I would not give 10 stars or full marks was the restaurant not being open. With not many restaurants close by, this causes a bit of inconvenience.

Nice art on the walls. Clean crisp linens. Breakfast included. Restaurant has nice selection of foods, well prepared. Staff very professional, helpful, cheerful. This is our go-to hotel when we need to be in Accra.

Travel with friends to shop in Accra (I live in Cape Coast. ) Lunch with friends and family. Staff are friendly and professional. The rooms are comfortable, AC and hot water, crisp linens, and a mini fridge in the room. Perfect.

Outside swimming pool and tables and chairs is lovely, well kept, quiet. Restaurant food us excellent, staff are professional. One of my favorite hotels im Accra.

A maintenance man came up and adjusted the remote, pretty much the same thing I had been doing. It turned out that my husband bring Nigerian does not like a/c too much, so we didnt pursue ot further but they need a better working unit in that room. Also when I ou have a deep bathtub you .ust have safety bars to get in and out. Very dangerous.Other than that it was a quaint little place.

• shazz (6/5): - Mahogony Lodge is in a great area to get around Accra. The local bus takes you to local shops in downtown Accra e.g Oxford Street and taxi's are plentiful. Worth using Bolt and or Ubers for good prices. The hotel staff are in general very welcoming and helpful - lots of genuinely nice people. The outdoor areas are well maintained. Mahogany Lodge needs updating internally to reflect the up and coming area. The decor is tired and outdated, what a difference some improved lighting and brighter walls could do. Mahogany Lodge is worth a visit.

• Sandra (10/5): - Sweet quiet little place that was a perfect landing upon our arrival in Africa after many long flights. We arranged airport pickup with the hotel which not only worked great, but the kind driver waited outside for us for a LONG time, as our bag was delayed and we had to wait a long time to do the missing bag claim. I was sure the driver must be gone by the time we came out of the airport, but there he was! Much appreciated. The staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful. Would totally stay here again.

• jaketups (8/5): Nice little oasis in Accra - It's a bit of an oasis in Ghana. Is it perfect? No. Does it do the job? Yes, definitely. I would be happy to stay here again. High points are the food. I had the pork chop a couple of times and it was great. The breakfast was very nice too, so points there. The waiting staff also all very nice. The bad point about the food? It's sooooo sllloooowww. Seriously, it takes 40 minutes to get your food after you've ordered it, which is annoying. But the food is worth it when it eventually arrives. The rooms are ok. Nothing particularly nice about them, but nothing too awful given that you're in Accra. The shower/bath tub was pretty poor and the air con seemed to stop cooling at about 22 despite the fact I had it set to 17, but I still managed to sleep ok. Bottled water was provided but I would argue, not enough of it. Put simply, cost vs benefit vs location vs meals - I was perfectly happy at the Mahogany Lodge and it was a nice place to come back to after a long day. The pool is also nice for a quick dip. 3.75/5

• job938 (10/5): Fantastic stay at Mahogany Lodge - We are currently here at Mahogany Lodge. It’s a very comfortable place to stay and feels really safe. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Reception have also been very accommodating with changes we’ve requested and have provided recommendations of places to go and arranged a driver to take us to the market. The food has been delicious, both breakfast and dinner. The lodge is around 15 minutes from the airport so it’s the perfect place to come to if you’re looking for a lovely place to stay in Accra. Really good reliable Wi-Fi is a bonus.

We especially like the food, initially complaining regarding the long wait between ordering and delivery to the table – guess what? Few little niggles while we were there with one of the air conditioners, and a broken shower head (thus 4 stars instead of 5) but to their credit, they fixed everything quickly. Would recommend!

• Francesctabor-miolla (2/5): Would not except Nigerian bank card - I booked a room for a Nigerian friend. When he arrived at the hotel, the hotel would not except his Nigerian bank card. Friend had to leave and find another hotel. Frustrating and embarrassing. He had never been an actor before, and had no idea where to go to find a room… Fortunately, a taxi driver gave him guidance.
• Bethany (10/5): - Quaint place in the heart of Cantonments, away from the hustle and bustle of the city - but close enough for a quick walk or Uber ride. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was good and the room service I ordered tasted nice and arrived promptly. The place had slowed down a bit post-COVID but it seems to have made a full recovery. Will definitely stay here again.
• Antityco (8/5): Very nice with one exception - This is in a calm part of Accra, and is a peaceful place to stay. The service was very good in the restaurant, and the front desk staff were very friendly. However, during our first night, the a/c stopped working at around 2 a.m. and we sweated it out getting no sleep. Although we reported it straight away in the morning, by noon it had still not been looked at. Finally they gave us a new room as we sweated it out by the pool.

Nora at the front desk took hospitality to a another level, she handled all my requests promptly, with a warm smile and exceptional customer service. My room was modern, well furnished, and located in a quiet section of the premises. The food was tasty and service was also very good. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Mahogany and looking forward to a repeat later on this year. I would also be happy to recommend friends and family members to stay in a lovely and hospitable place like Mahogany Lodge.
• ScenicMRY (8/5): Pleasant & Enjoyable Stay - We stayed at Mahogany for 11 nights celebrating Christmas and the New Year with family. It was overall a very peaceful and enjoyable stay. Everyone we interacted with took excellent care of us and our requests. The rooms were clean, room service was prompt and courteous. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to service at the restaurant being a little slow. I still highly recommend Mahogany Lodge.

• AndrewW641 (6/5): very good - This was a nice enough hotel. The room was OK and the food in the restaurant was good. The restaurant staff were very willing to please. HOWEVER, after leaving them a nice tip over and above paying the bill, the next morning I was informed that I had a debt for the restaurant. It wasn't a huge amount, but they couldn't give me any information as to why. There is no communication between the reception and the reception and no willingness on the part of the person at the reception to help find out. (That is why I gave three stars instead of 4). In short, pay everything at the end to avoid this kind of incident!

• J8510TGjohnd (10/5): Exceeded expectations, quality service and a home base that really worked. - We spent a week ( 30th Jan to 5 Feb 2022) as we visited various organisations in Accra. The hotel was a welcome Oasis. Well serviced, excellent staff, beautifully clean and the food was fresh. We visited the sites post meetings and the local beaches, but always returned to the peace and quiet of the mahogany lodge. Due to a lack of reviews, we went to visit the hotel en route to Kumasi. They could not have been more helpful. We also ran a conference on day two from their conference room, followed by a lunch for 12. We could not have asked for better service at a very reasonable price. AV kit not the latest, but works!! This was a mix of social and work. If we had wanted the night life, easy to find, great location, secure and peaceful.

• lexnunu (10/5): Stay at Mahogany Lodge - you won’t regret it! - Mahogany Lodge is perfect. For context I was a solo female traveller in my late 20’s and stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks. The hotel is in a perfect location, 10 minutes from the airport and there is the free airport pick up and drop off service. Additionally if you’re going into town, Oxford Street, Osu or Accra mall etc it is a 15 min car journey. Please do bear in mind Accra traffic is insane! The hotel itself is not super big which is nice and makes it cosy. I stayed within the actual hotel and not the annex. In being a solo female traveller I felt very safe. There’s security 24/7 at the entrance and key activated doors to get into the buildings. Room wise I had a decent size room, with constant AC. A great compliment to the hotel is that the WiFi is great. Whether that be in my room, by the pool or just on the balcony. This was perfect for me as I was working remotely. As it is Ghana it is common to have “light off” or a power outage but it took all of 2 mins for the generator to kick in and electricity to be turned back on. The hotel itself is clean and well polished. The communal areas are very well looked after and housekeeping came every single day. The free breakfast consists of, a simple English with the option to add whatever additional items you desire. The complimentary fresh orange juice is lovely. Just as a side note I visited during the Christmas period and they had nice decorations and would play festive music by the pool. Whilst I was there I had my laundry done a few times which was good. You just put your things into a bag and housekeeping take away and return same day within a few hours. Overall I couldn’t recommend mahogany lodge enough and genuinely have no complaints. I most definitely will be staying there when I return to Ghana in the coming months.

• ebaran1 (8/5): A gem - I always stay in a small hotel near Labadie and sadly found out it was closed when i was in Accra so i searched forca similar quiet, small homely place. So hard to know from pics and reviews but Mahogany Lodge seemed to fit the spec. After all the airport shenanigans, it was good to meet my partner and get picked up by the Lodge car and taken to the hotel. It looks nicer on the outside than i imagined. Security guard and a bar-gate, small parking area and sanitisation materials by the entrance. A delightfully air-conditioned reception.I stayed ten nights in a very spacious one-bed apt .Reception was ever smiley, helpful and efficient. The apt was great.Nothing snazzy. A large kingsize bed, a wardrobe, tv and safe and fridge(empty). A huge loungge with leather sofa and leather armchairs, a dining table and chairs for 4 and a kitchen with a fridge, mucriwave, oven, coffee stuff and a small range of utensils. Fridge came with sodas, not free. You can make a small snack or meal , but its not kitted out for cooking large meals. Highly efficient a/c un the bedroom and lounge. A bath and shower and loo in the bathoom. Alas, they could not find a correctly-fitting plug so the bath could not be filled. Showers sufficed, and the water heater switch needs to be on...so check, as tge cleaners turn it off. The place was quiet and laid-back. I had laundry done on request. Food brought to room on request. The restaurant is constantly manned. A fairly large menu.brekky substantial- fruit, cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, hot drinks and juice. All fine, if not special. There is a stocked bar and a small selection of wines which run out and take time to get restocked. The layout is lovely. A central open area surrounded by alcoves and seating areas and a laptop for guest use. A fab pool in the centre with clean, warm water. Nobody minded what time you used it there were three or four loungers with umbrellas. Towels provided free of charge. The room was cleaned every day at a time that suited us. The food was fine. Jollof, peppersteaks, chinese food,toasties, ice cream, seafood. All decent enough without being too fancy. Prices were reasonable. Nothing asked of them was too much. When i left, they helped print all my required paperwork. They restocked the fridge when asked, the place was well located for getting to the airport or out and about to eat or shop and it is on a quiet road so no major traffic noise. We even had a small outside terrace with some chairs etc. It was perfect for what i wanted. I will certainly always stay there from now on.It was clean, friendly and so not-a-big sterile mega hotel. They even remembered to have our dinners awaiting late at night on our arrival date. I specifically asked for that as we came in late. Loved the place, the helpful service,the pool and the staff. Looking forward to my next stay.

I will be back and I will recommend others to stay here as well. Room for improvement includes ensuring there is someone to answer the reception phone or be present at the front desk at all times. There were a few times no one answered the calls repeatedly. The same applies to the kitchen to order breakfast or other food items. Otherwise, wonderful stay.
• NSENGIYUM (10/5): Mahogany Lodge services are beyond expectations. - The hospitality of Mahogany Lodge, Accra, Ghana, is beyond the expectations. I am still in the hotel since my arrival on 17 October but I can not wait for the end of my stay in order to commend the hotel for the care towards guests. All is done with love and humanity. At my second day in the Hotel I experienced health issues and the way they helped me was just incredible. They helped me to get medical assistance and arranged everything on time and I was pleasantly surprised when I found even the medical expenses were cleared by the Hotel. I can not thank Mahogany Lodge enough. This is the best Hotel ever.

The staff was very tentative to our needs and requests. The rooms were clean, and we enjoyed the romantic pool setting at night with music. Thank you for an enjoyable stay, Mahogany!

• leedawson769 (10/5): Great Value - I have been coming to Accra for 4yrs and traditionally stayed at one of the larger hotels nearer the airport. Mahogany Lodge beats the ‘bigger’ hotel chain hands down. I have just stayed for a week. The staff have been courteous and attentive. The rooms are clean and spacious enough for a short visit. The surroundings are quiet which suits me much better. The restaurant food has been excellent which is why I shall in future be choosing this hotel. Can recommend the red/red from the restaurant for any first time visitor who likes to venture into local cuisine.

• Morris (8/5): - My economy room was very small, smaller than most places, so small I had no room on the floor to open my luggage I had to use the bed. The ppl were very nice. The swimming pool is small but clean. Braggart was alacart so I didn't get enough but it taste good. There was a small safe in the room. Hot water was immediate. TV channels few. Bed comfortable. Cleaned daily. They picked me at the airport as they promised. The desk communicated with me prior to the visit in a professional way. I rate the staff as excellent and the property fair for the price I paid. I am willing to stay here again.
