- Ulli (10/5): I loved my stay and hopefully can come back. - Great location right on the beach, with good snorkeling. The people are nice even though the restaurant did not work since the owners were gone. I stayed in the dormitory with only one other person in the room. The fans were good enough so we slept well. They also rent scooters or car Mosquitoes. 🦟 but they do provide mosquitoes spray.

- Manon (10/5): Extraordinaire, fabuleux, je recommande ++++ - TOUT ! C’était un séjour exceptionnel. J’ai prolongé d’une nuit tellement je m’y sentais bien. Il y a absolument tout ce qu’un voyageur vient chercher. Cet endroit est fabuleux, décoré d’une façon féerique, le lieu est extrêmement bien tenu, c’est calme et ressourçant. La plage privée est un bijou, vous partagez le lagon avec le Hilton quelques centaines de mètres plus loin mais eux paient 30 fois plus cher. Franchement j’ai beaucoup voyagé, et le rapport qualité prix est juste dingue. Ils font restaurant, quelques couverts, et c’est très bon, cocktails fait maison, on peut venir prendre un verre au coucher de soleil ou dîner ou déjeuner, et évidemment résider. Le petit déjeuner (délicieux) se prend les pieds dans l’eau, les raies et les requins à pointes noires viennent te saluer, c’est magique ! La famille est accueillante et d’une bonté très touchante. L’un des fils, Teho, est une pépite de garçon, toujours partant pour te faire découvrir quelque chose de son île, posé, sympathique et extrêmement professionnel il sait offrir ce qu’il y a de meilleur à ses hôtes. Bravo à lui ! Merci pour ce séjour qui restera gravée dans ma mémoire, Foncez +++++++++

Location de scooter disponible sur place. Personnel très gentil et serviable. Lits doubles dans le dortoir. Propreté du dortoir moyenne, propreté des douche et des toilettes moyennes également, avec pas souvent du papier toilette. Vélos sensés être à disposition mais aucun en état de marche.

Es gibt im Mehrbettzimmer keine Mosquitonetze und keine Deckenventilatoren. Wenn kein Wind geht ist es oben sehr schwül und heiß und dann plagen noch die Mosquitos.

- Charles (4/5): décevant - Très déçu. J'étais venu dans cet établissement il y a quelques années, j'avais été enchanté malgré la simplicité de l'hébergement. Cette fois c'était n'importe quoi, le deuxième jour j'ai été prié de dormir au dortoir car ma chambre était louée à une personne qui allait rester une semaine (oui on fait du surbooking en accusant les centrales de réservation et en émettant même des doutes sur la véracité de ma réservation! J'ai dû fournir les preuves au propriétaire que j'ai eu au téléphone et me suis senti maltraité par ses doutes, ce monsieur ne sait sans doute pas gérer les réservations sur les différentes centrales... ) L'établissement est mal tenu également, il y a beaucoup de laisser-aller et pas d'effort pour satisfaire ses clients. Je ne détaillerais pas pour ne pas être désagréable pour les personnes sur place qui sont malgré tout gentils, mais cet établissement a beaucoup perdu! La cuisine est bonne mais il manque la moitié des plats à la carte, on le découvre une fois qu'on a passé commande. Il faut vous reprendre en mains, vous avez de l'or dans les mains et vous ne faites aucun effort pour l'exploiter correctement. Bref, je ne reviendrai pas de si tôt.

The power will constantly shut down when you turn on the water heater, and you will have to go downstairs to flip the circuit breaker when it happens. I did it so many time and it's very frustrating. The air conditioner on the dinning room has water leaking when it's on. The towls are horrible. The only thing I like is the location and parking. I would rather spend more and stay in a hotel next time.

There’s a great restaurant on site which overlooks the private beach as well as other places to eat nearby. The dormitory was very comfortable and not too hot at night. The beach was good and you have free access to kayaks, great sunset spot too!

I had booking for 2 days, in the morning i said to the son of the owner, i can t stay here, because i saw last night a rat, they still charged 2 nights..worst ever stay
- Verified traveler (4/5): - You get what you pay for. But the star-ranking is not comparable with accommodations in the USA. This is not a 2 1/2 star hotell. Cleanliness in the shared bathrooms and shared dormitory is way bellow a standard I am willing to accept. The bungalows are ok. The staff is very nice, they play great music. They have good food to order. The beach is fine. Kayaks are available and that was great.

- Vinayak (3/5): Poor - The proximity to the beach and the host being available on property. The area is quite away from the rest of the main town but there's Hilton next door which we were able to use a day pass by paying extra. We were there only 2 nights and tried to stay outside this place as much as possible. This is not a place for families - we were 2 adults and 2 kids. The bungalow/villa we stayed had no views, an abundance of mosquitoes and lizards, outdated and old furnishings, we didn't have enough bedding, sparsely lit, bathroom was bare minimum with no toiletries. Ours was the last bungalow closest to the main road, so traffic noise was an issue.

The location could not have been better . It is quiet , private and with the best view and lovely swimming off the beach .Kayaks also provided. The staff were very thoughtful and helpful

- samar (6/5): - This is my second visit to this idyllic spot in Moorea. A family run group of budget rustic cottages on the lagoon next door to the Hilton. The onsite restaurant serves very high quality food and a simple breakfast is included. The hotel sits oceanfront on a beautiful area of the lagoon with rays, sharks and fish cruising by all day. Air conditioned rooms which is rare in Tahiti and kayaks included, good for family on a budget.

On se demande pourquoi Booking propose cet établissement sur le site.
- Meraloha (4/5): Better if your renting the cottages and have a car unless you get it for a cheaper price😁 No - My bed in all girls dorm was comfortable, Location on tiny beach was nice. We went on a cool small group snorkel tour with captain Alex lagoon tour. Only 2 toilets with the shower in them were n use so sometimes you had to wait. I paid at least $50. a night which was too much. Others had paid varied cheaper prices. My friend paid more and was understandably upset. Her metal locker and others didn't work. There is no kitchen to use. They will store some food for you but you have to ask them to get it for you. They have a fruit, bread, coffee for about $12. In the morning. Not the friendliest guy in kitchen/ bar. You need a car to eat or get anywhere or pay for a taxi about $30. to town to ferry or airport. I didn't snorkel in front but I would if I was stuck there. I saw the little sharks swimming around like a school of fish. They are a small size and don't bite you here that I know of.

- Jerzy (1/5): Value for money very low. Early booking means the highest price. - We liked the location close to the Taahiamanu beach. Access to the small Fare Maheata beach was also beneficial. Almost everything should have been better apart from location. The bungalow has not been refurbished for years and really dirty. Terrible bathroom/shower cleaness and conditions. Air conditioning equipment stopped working on the second night and we were cheated by one of the owners that he would call for the external service but he did not do it at all. To days later after after another claim his brother sent a local staff member who did the reset of unit and it started cooling again - this time at full speed and lowest temperature.

- john (8/5): - Great small quiet beach and covered area overlooking ocean. Rustic bungalows that are commensurate with the price. Good for budget conscious families. Our bungalow (closest to road) had a queen sized bed, set of bunk beds, and an upstairs loft that could also sleep 2 additional people. Functional kitchenette with fridge/freezer. Place had lots of open closets and storage shelves. Due to us checking in on day restaurant was closed, absolute minimum interaction with staff. Tip: the Thai take-away restaurant close by is great and best meal deals on Moorea

The fish swim right up to the shore, there are comfortable chairs and tables on the beach and a stunning view of the sunset each night. The accomodation is basic but clean. The restaurant has wonderful platters/tapas and an excellent drink selection. You need a vehicle to access the supermarket and ATM. We would return again.

- Beverly (7/5): Great spot if you need beachfront accommodation. - As far as I can tell, the only reason for the price is the beachfront location. Very friendly and helpful staff! Breakfast was too simple. Selection of fresh fruits was disappointing, there should be fresh jams and jellies being in the tropics (?). I tried relaxing on the beach, but the hosts were blasting loud dance music the whole time. :-/ Needed more towels in bathroom and kitchen in bungalow. Disappointed that dinner service was unavailable. Bungalow was described as "garden view" but it was looking into a cement patio/wall with no garden at all.

- Edward (2/5): Wish we had known about restaurant closure prior to non-refundable booking. - Small pleasant beach, okay breakfast, nice eating area, within 4 minutes walking distance to Hilton and also 10 minutes to public beach. On day of arrival and throughout our entire stay, staff was unavailable to arrange transportation & activities, plus restaurant was closed due to staff days off. Curtains in room did not completely cover windows…had to use our own beach towels.

Maybe none but I didn't know that the restaurant is close during Wednesdays and Thursdays. Although, Maja the owner sold me beers when they were close. That was pretty cool of him.

The coral right in front of the restaurant was some of the best we saw in all of Moorea, with sharks and rays and colorful reef fish just off shore. The restaurant is exceptional. The rooms are simple but clean and include a kitchen that helps to save money on meals (French Polynesia can be expensive). All of the staff were helpful and welcoming, especially the maintenance guy who helped us with all our needs. We definitely plan to return.
- Florence (2/5): - Le séjour est très myen. Le gérant de la pension n'est pas sociable du tout. Suite à ma réservation sur hotel.com, il m'a répondu sèchement car les tarifs ne corresponde pas. A l arrivée, une mauvaise odeur émanait du bungalow après plusieurs heure, on découvre qu'il y avait une fuite de gaz. Pas d'excuse, aucun geste commerciale alors que ma famille aurait pu subir les conséquences. Pas de couverture, seul 1 drap fin alors qu'il y la climatisation. Pein de moustiques. Restaurant : 4 burger pr 9400xpf, soit 2400 xpf 1,le pain non grillé, pas d' oignon, la panière frite à moitié pleine. Le petit déjeuner est très moyen.... La restitution des clés remis au jardinier car personne n'était sorti.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Do not stay in a shared dormitory - Only stay here if you are truly on a budget and want to share everything with other guests. The shared dormitory is full with mosquitoes, has no air conditioning. Their bookings are non refundable for a reason. The property had a nice view though.

We had issues with ants in our bungalow but learned to live with them. I limited my ability to eat and cook there though. We felt like part of the community. Would return for sure.

There's no kitchen or fridge that you can use if you stay in the dorm. You need transport to go places though, and even a bike rent is on the costly side.

Very nice to have a fridge and kitchen sink in the room. Nice to have an AC in the room. Nice to be able to swim next to the hotel. There was a little problem with the hot water, it would be burning hot then cold and made some noises. Maybe because there was alot of people using water at the same time? I did use the AC, but the AC was facing the bed and there was no blankets so I slept with my sweater... No real problems
- Elizabeth (8/5): Wonderful location and comfortable stay - The setting right on the water's edge is gorgeous. Good European style breakfast, bread and cheese, no fruit. The people are super helpful and the view is spectacular. You can see over to the Hilton's overwater bungalows. Shower is ok, but the water temp kept changing, beds are comfortable, AC worked great, everything was clean. There are minimal resources in the room, but enough to get by. This place is a good fit if you are able to make adjustments. No hand towel, face cloth, or dish towels, only two small bath towels. The kitchen was a nice addition, but no table knives if you plan to eat anything that needs cutting. The only restaurants within walking distance on a Wed. or Thurs, are at the super pricey Hilton nearby. The restaurant at the pension is outstanding, but only open Fri-Tues. If you can tune out barking dogs next door and roosters, you won't mind the noise.

Having lunch with your feet in the water and fish swimming around is an unforgettable experience. Our annoyance was that the bungalow was sold as 2-bedroom, when it is essentially one large room with beds for 5 in it. Other than that, we loved our stay.

- Arlee (10/5): - The property was right on a beautiful lagoon filled with coral, fish, rays and a few small sharks. The restaurant is facing the water and is really cute and the food is great. Only a short walk away is the Moorea Hilton which has the best crepes. Kayaks and paddle boards were included in the nightly fee which was really nice.
- Lee (5/5): Passable - The location is great - it's lovely to sit at tables in the sand with your feet in the water. You can borrow their kayaks or snorkel right off the beach; there are plenty of fish, though the coral is overgrown with sea junk. The restaurant was closed the nights I stayed there, but it is supposed to be very good, and it was a nice place to sit and look at the water. It's an easy walk to the Hilton if you need to - say - buy bottled water when the restaurant is closed. My room was big. The staff seemed very indifferent to the guests - casual to the point that it was hard to tell who actually worked there and when. I'd read reviews of the marvelous family who runs this pension - maybe they were on vacation when I stayed, because the people who worked there seemed like strangers wandering in and out. Skip the breakfast, which is Nescafe, sliced baguette, and possibly mini-croissants if they are not all gone by the time you get there. Water in the shower switched randomly between scalding and freezing, so that was annoying. I think Fare Maheata offers dormitory accommodation, which might be an option if the price is right. In my backpacking days, I would have been happy to stay somewhere like this for a low price. The private room I had was not worth what I paid, though.

- Julian (6/5): General rating not applicable to bungalow - Very good location with direct beach access (bit small though) und snorkeling spot, supermarket and public beach nearby (better you have a car), booking at short notice for next day possible. Most ratings of the accomodation refer to the dorm. Our bungalow (the first on the row) never ever deserves a rating above 7. It is very dated and musty, on the edge of disgusting. Hard to tell what was actually dirt or rotten furniture etc. The many photos don't show that. I am aware that ants anywhere are normal in the region, but it was too much for me here (e.g. in the bed). Very basic breakfast consists of baguette, jam, sometimes little pastries/croissants and bananas. Seems to depend on the mood of the staff.

It provides simple comfortable accomodation with fans & aircon, full kitchen and bathroom, and everything you need for a great stay. The best part is the beautiful white sand beach on which it is located, where you eat lunch with your feet in the water (if you wish). Rays and fish swim by as you eat breakfast. It has a restaurant, open 5 days a week, and provides a simple breakfast if you want it. A great place at a very affordable price.

- Sophie (6/5): - We are a family of 6. 4 kids and 2 adults. We travel a lot and are happy with places that are more like a home than a resort. The location here is beautiful. The restaurant is right on a little beach with beautiful water and kayaks to use and explore. We saw a bunch of rays. The rooms were fine. The downside was the staff/owners. One brother was very sweet but there was another brother who was just plain rude. Our reservation stated 2 adults and 4 kids. I even called the hotel directly to confirm that we could sleep all 6 of us. I paid a fee to add the 2 younger children. When we got there they only had beds for 5. I asked for the 6th bed and they told me that i had only put 4 on the reservation which i told them I called to add the other 2 and that there were 6. He said yes we know thats why we put a 5th bed but we dont have a 6th. He was very rude about it. I told them not to worry about it and our youngest would just sleep with us. The older brother came about 30min later with a matress and was much more respectful and helpful. The only way to light the stove is with a match which is fine but there were no matches. When we asked for some it was a rude response about how the last guest took them so basically oh well. Then the day we left they tried to collect another 9k francs for breakfast for the 2 littles. They claimed we didnt pay for them. Not true and myself and older son didnt even eat breakfast. One son nice other very rude. Property is nice, rooms are fine.

- Paul (10/5): - This place is amazing! The sons that run the place have a wealth of knowledge about the island, culture and where to go. The unit that we stayed in had bunk beds and a loft. It was great for my kids. My son would get up early, walk 30 meters right to the beach and go snorkeling. I will be staying there next time we go to Moorea. I think it is important to note that I rented a vehicle to use while I was there with my family. I made a mistake and rented the vehicle for Tahiti. I did not realize that until we arrived in Moorea in the ferry. I called the guys at Fare Maheata and they arranged for a taxi to pick us up and they even had vehicles available for rent on the property. They made our vacation on Moorea a pleasant stay. Thank you!

- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible Stay - BEWARE. The manager Jean arrogantly charged me again for my two night stay even after i had showed him the receipt that the room has been paid for. He did NOT listen to what i am saying and now the double charge is still in dispute. Now he claims he cannot return the charge back and asking for another credit card and some RIB or IBAN account number. I travel quite a bit and this is the most unsatisfactory place i have stayed. No hot water when he claims there was, i got bitten from possible bed bugs (i have photos), and one of the sons Maha kept on saying he works for tips. I know the hotel industry is hurting at the moment. However, do yourselves a favor! DO NOT stay here.

They have a restaurant on side and also provide local transportation service with reasonable price. The food is good and the breakfast is included in the bill. But the property is a little bit old and some kind of clean up.
- FABIEN (8/5): Carte Postale ! - Bonne adresse et bonne table. Plage privée petite mais largement suffisante et surtout dans un décor de rêve. Le logement est simple mais spacieux avec 2 terrasses. Propriétaire très sympa. Pension très bien située sur l'île, très belle plage publique à proximité et super moniteur de plongée à 100m.
