На первом этаже был аниме сектор с книгами, где можно было отдохнуть и полистать мангу перед заездом. Нас заселили чуть раньше положенного времени, спасибо! Мы арендовали приватный Онсен и вода была грязной после предыдущих посетителей, в общественных банях такой проблемы мы не увидели. У нас также был куплен обед, но это оказался обычный шведский стол, за деньги которые мы заплатили если честно мы ожидали немного большего, хотя еда была вкусной, но не было ничего особенного.

- Justin (10/5): - I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. The only thing I can say is I wish I booked more time here and less time in Tokyo. Next time I will spend about 4 days here and limit my time in Tokyo. From the yakata, free unlimited snacks, free drinks, and even have a small shaved ice machine for guest. The little store has some neat items and best of all is the manga cafe they have. If you read the history a little in the cafe you will see where the the owner, Togawa, worked in the manga industry. He built the library himself and the hotel was built by his grandfather, managed by his father, and then taken over by his uncle. Togawa now runs it and has been since 2019. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. The Japanese style room is great. Some people think it is dated but me personally it saves and holds on to the Japanese charm that lead me to visit Japan to begin with. Thank you to the Hotel Koryu staff and Togawa. You have made our 20th wedding annivery and my wife's birthday incredible!.

- José Juan (10/5): Lo mejor de Japón - Menuda experiencia, la ubicación es perfecta para caminar por el paseo del lago, pudimos ver el monte Fuji en todo su explendor. Las vistas al lago desde la habitación son muy bonitas, la comodidad de un futón es muy personal. Yo dormí de lujo. Al llegar puedes coger gran cantidad de golosinas en la recepción y puedes pasearte en Yukata por todo el hotel. Reservamos un onsen privado, lo mejor que pudimos hacer, es una agradable experiencia. Para la cena y desayuno fuimos al bufet del hotel, recomendado. Conclusión volveremos seguro.

- Claudio Marcelo (8/5): Un hotel fuera de lo común - La cena y el desayuno era muy variado y de lo mejor , hasta tenían un sushiman trabajando a la vista. Las vistas al lago eran sensacionales, el personal super amable, te vienen a buscar en un bus hasta la estación y después te llevan cuando te vas en forma totalmente gratuita. La habitación super espaciosa y el lugar para tomar el baño en el sector público impecable, lastima que no se veía el lago porque le pusieron una esterilla para que no se vea ya que uno entra al agua desnudo , o sea sin traje de baño. Tiene una excelente biblioteca de manga y dibujos para chicos. Le faltaba mantenimiento de pintura y a algunos sectores de madera en la habitación. También faltaba una buena mano de pintura en los palieres. A partir de la noche esta el pueblo con las luces apagadas y si no tenes auto estas en problemas ai queres hacer una caminata o ir al centro despues de la cena.
- Stacey (10/5): Fabulous hotel - The staff here are incredible, they are helpful and warm and nothing is too much. The room had absolutely stunning views of the lake. There was everything you could possibly need for your stay available and it had a small shop on site. It was a short walk to shops and cafes and about a 20 minute walk to the station although the do a free shuttle service if thats too far so don't be put off. There's an all you can eat and drink buffet on an evening for just less than £25 which excellent value and a really good way to try some new foods and drinks. Nothing to do with the hotel but the area is very quiet on a night and restaurants close quite early about half past 7. If you are looking for a few drinks on an evening look up oar blue bar which is a craft ale bar, it is a bit pricy but really lovely inside. There's also a nice bar in an hotel called authors, they also have a roof top area with stunning views of mt Fuji but be warned the walk up to the hotel is steep! But worth it.

Ventilation très bruyante avec un niveau sonore élevé dans la chambre. Egalement, besoin global d’un coup de jeune pour les chambres. Hôtel assez vaste qui reçoit des groupes.

- Theresa (9/5): Wonderful stay with accommodating staff and two relaxing onsen - Although the hotel is a bit dated, we really enjoyed our stay! The rooms are clean and have a great size. The traditional breakfast buffet offered various dishes with English descriptions and was incredibly tasty. The two onsite onsen are also a huge plus. Additionally the staff are incredible nice and helpful - they even provided a candy bar upon check-in. Luggage storage is also not a problem for the check-in and check-out day. The hotel is a bit outside of the man town, but the walk isn’t long. There is also a big Manga library at the hotel, with various places to relax and read. We would definitely stay here again. Nothing.

Food-wise, the buffet was a bargain and had a wide variety of tasty options. The location is unbeatable, I recommend staying at least 2 nights, though we only stayed for 1.

- Irma (5/5): - Es hatte einen schönen Ausblick auf den See Uns wollen die ein zusätzliches Abendessen berechnen, was wir überhaupt nicht in Anspruch genommen hatten sondern nur 1 Mal - konnten wir aber Vorort klären und mussten wir nicht bezahlen - und die Shuttle Zeiten die die dort ausgeschildert haben halten die sich auch nicht dran wir sind dann zu Fuß mit unseren Koffern zum Bahnhof gegangen, da wir sonst unseren Bus verpasst hätten… dann Waschmittel kostet dort auch für ein kleines neutrales Waschmitteltütchen 100 yen.

- Poopan (9/5): - พนักงานสุภาพ ให้ความช่วยเหลือเป็นอย่างดี ประทับใจมากค่ะ มีขนมให้เลือกหยิบไปทานบนห้อง ลูกของเราได้เพลิดเพลินกับการเลือกขนม มีมุมเล่นของเล่นที่ชั้น 2 แต่ที่ลูกเราชอบมาก จนอยากอยู่อีกหลายๆ คืน คือโซนอ่านหนังการ์ตูน แม้จะอ่านภาษาอังกฤษไม่คล่อง อาหารเย็นมีซาชิมิ เนื้อตุ๋นอร่อยมาก วิวซากุระตรงข้าม รร. สวยมากค่ะ คิดว่าจะกลับไปพักอีกในฤดูใบไม้แดง และหิมะ คงจะสวยอีกแบบ เวลา check out เร็วไปนิด ถ้า 11.00am น่าจะดี

Good information about the manga artist and very cool. Good selection on English mangas so all can enjoy. Was a pleasant and amazing suprise :) Some food was better than others but with such an amazing selection it was easy to find something for and pallet

- angel57 (10/5): Incroyable - Nous y avons séjourné 2 nuits en avril 2026. Emplacement idéal pour voir le mont Fuji 💝.. Très proche de la gare routière de Fujikawaguchiko. Le Ryokan est très agréable, le personnel incroyable, le buffet varié est excellent. Les onsens sont très jolis. Pour les transferts hôtel/gare , Koryu met à disposition pour une somme dérisoire une navette qui vient vous chercher. Il suffit de vous adresser à l'office de tourisme de la gare routière et elle les appelle pour vous. Pour une immersion dans la culture Japonaise, je vous recommande cet endroit les yeux fermés !!!! - Bradley (10/5): Amazing traditional lakeside stay - Attentive staff, huge room, the private onsen in our room was an amazing experience, buffet dinner had lots of options and was high quality. Everything was great but the futon would have benefitted from another pillow.

- momoyo (8/5): 昭和レトロな旅館 - 河口湖駅までシャトルバスの送迎があり、朝食ビュッフェも和食洋食サラダバー、パンケーキなどなどとても充実していました。レトロな雰囲気もあり、気負わずに過ごすことができました。目の前が河口湖で眺めも素晴らしく、温泉に卓球にととても楽しめました。 特にありません。

- Robyn (9/5): Old style charm with beautiful outlook and great value - The hotel is large and a bit faded but retains its charm. View of the lake from our window was beautiful and it's really only a short walk down the road to see Mt Fuji. The hotel helpfully shows a live camera stream of the summit so you know if the peak is visible before you walk out the door. The food, we had breakfasts and dinners, was buffet style and there was a lot of choice. Generally the quality was quite good. Hotel was particularly generous with sashimi and prawn tempura, and my personal favourite was the mackerel salad. All you could drink beer, sake and local wine was included, also very generous. I loved the fresh pancakes for breakfast. Also Japanese options. We enjoyed the private onsen, the afternoon snacks and the manga collection. Staff always friendly and helpful. Only dislike was the shower in our room. It sprayed a thin, narrow stream which was hardly sufficient to rinse off soap and shampoo. It took at least 5 mins for the water to become hot. The shower we used in the onsen was perfectly good so maybe this was a problem only in our room. Room 409 TVs are old with no internet connection so unable to stream anything but local content, or connect your phone.

- Cindy (10/5): - My absolute favorite Hotel of my whole Japan trip!! I can absolutely recommend this one, the staff is super friendly and the rooms are very beautiful and comfortable. I felt very welcomed and the location of the hotel is amazing. The manga room at the entry is also super cute!! I will definitely come again! :)
- Cauwenbergh (7/5): Potential for a great stay though with another room - Nice buffet, nice public baths, good amenities and sweets/snacks available for all. Great size room for all. Location to some of the main sights. Our room was a Japanese style family room with lakeview however for the price we paid we were very disappointed with where it was situated. Right next to the bath on the first floor in the corner of the ‘L-shaped’ building so our ‘lake view’ was actually a view of 90% concrete wall and the parking lot. It was quite disappointing especially for the price of the room. Hotel / room could use a few upgrades as it was all quite old and dated though that didn’t bother us too much.

- Natalie (7/5): Consistency of staff could help it feel more premium - Loved the Onsen - don’t book private, if you go late or early you’ll likely have it to yourself. Great value for Fuji I found some of the staff lovely, and some entirely unhelpful. Didn’t like the buffet dinner so much.
- Jacqueline ter Haar (9/5): A fantastic and authentic ryokan experience with a private onsen and stunning views, well worth it. - Hotel Ryoku is a traditional ryokan, and our stay here was fantastic. We booked a room with a private onsen overlooking Lake Kawaguchiko, and it completely lived up to expectations. The room itself was beautiful, sleeping on futons on the floor added to the experience, the bathroom was excellent, and the onsen with that view was the highlight. Everything felt authentic and well taken care of. There’s honestly very little to mention. The only small point one could mention is that it’s about a 10-minute walk to the centre of Kawaguchiko, though that distance feels minimal if you’re used to walking a lot during city trips.

- Bethany (10/5): Beautiful lakeside hotel with private onsen options - Lots of activities available, onsen, karaoke, table tennis, manga library! The location is amazing, right by the bus stop for sightseeing bus. Great views of the lake. Can't see Mt Fuji from the hotel, but only 10 minutes walk to ropeway for viewing.

The karaoke setup was fun and lively, the onsen was relaxing and well-maintained, and the room was comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Every detail contributed to a fantastic experience, and everything exceeded expectations.

- Nesteruk (6/5): - Онсен в отеле. Очень вкусный ужин - швейцарский стол: сашими, блюда японской кухни, суши, всевозможные десерты, шоу разделка рыбы. После такого вечера уже не обращаешь внимания на ободранные стены. Отель очень старый. Уже давно требуется косметический ремонт. Дефекты в стене просто подкрашены разной краской. В сезон - космическая цена, которая не соответствует обстановке вокруг.
- Joëlle (10/5): Belle expérience - L’hôtel est très bien situé, avec une vue sur le lac. Notre chambre traditionnelle équipée d’un onsen privé nous a offert une expérience bien agréable. Notre logement était propre et calme. L’eau du robinet y est douce et délicieuse. Il est possible de louer des vélos à l’hôtel.
